Get your armor to 2,500 to 3,000 range will help your survival during melee.
you sure? he’s still a world boss.
It will drop Ascended stuff, including new Ascended Weapons with unique skins. It will also drop a mini Tequatl.
you mean like the black lion chests drop scraps all the time? or how champ loot boxes drop loadstones and the new exotic weapons?
boy they sure do drop a lot. i’m gonna tell you what you’re gonna get.
1 rare and about 5 blues with maybe a green.
If it drops craps, no one will participate this event. May be once, but no more. I can guarantee you!
To make new Teq boss a long term interest among players, old and new, just throw in good reward, e.g. Black Lion scraps, as drop in defeating him. People always go for reward as their motivation. We need farmers, in such a large scale fight, to keep this boss alive for extended period of time.
Oh, this char only has unlocked adept but not the master, thank you very much. Didn’t know this requirement.
I have a level 80 char who after double clicking (or use) the manual, it produce a “click” sound but did not unlock the traits. I put this manual in the bank and my another char was successfully used it. Help! Pretty useless char if she cannot have those traits.
OP has brought up a good point. Hopefully Anet won’t forget what could make GW2 really special: dynamic events that change the world, and we the players contribute how these taking place and where it end up. It is pretty amazing that I can create history in a virtual world. No?
A great designer usually dosen’t listen to the general populace coz they don’t really know what they want. It takes a genius to be truly innovative, GW2 start out well, can they pull through? Do you have the guts to ignore the populace to stay true to your vision?

Just want to say that I have the exact same issue. Finished 2 torch runs but the daily didn’t register them.
Kiel, might have a good moral, but she also seems stupid. Good or evil aside, which doesn’t matter in a game, Evon seems to be a more interesting character.
I found similar things happening in Southsun survival. One player said “kitten#8221; when I, being killed by him, to launch a Karka. One play said “kitten ” after I trapped him to death. I was amazed by people reacted that way. The game design is to get as many point as you can, this point will accumulate to earn the 2,500 achievement. After killed, the mist is supposed to get on the live player, kill them (by trap or karka), to get those points. I hope they understand what this game is about and stop being so upset by others pursuing them. For now, I’d just say “sorry I killed you” to sooth them. Come on, it is just a game – a mini one even.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I totally enjoy the Southsun survival, have much fun and literally made me laugh when I killed a player in mist form after he killed me. I especially like that you get almost the same reward regardless winning or losing. The point you got will lead you to achievement eventually so I don’t need to worry and just play and have fun. Nice job.
Thanks for bringing up the flaw in Aspect Arena, only tried it twice. I totally enjoy the Southsun survival though, have much fun and literally made me laugh when I killed a player in mist form after he killed me. I especially like that you get almost the same reward regardless winning or losing. The point you got will lead you to achievement eventually so I don’t need to worry and just play and have fun. Nice job.
OP: that’s an interesting post. For real life: go for Kiel, for a game: doesn’t matter.
In contrast, I think “greed is the root of all evils”.
I ran the 1st place and got a sun catcher from the chest. Does ranking matter to have a chance of getting catcher from the chest? Thanks for your advice!
Kiel did say: “Don’t leave me, I can help”. If all five of you still leave her, she will bug you out!
My AR run:
1st: Kiel bugged out
2nd: Completed with a PUG (send only 1 player to jump up)
Like the gold buff, made some extra cash
Done for the ordinary people (poor); there are many rich kids out there enjoying getting rare RNG items. If you aren’t those kids, you need to let go the urge of owning everything you want in game. Don’t let the game control you.
If Anet decided RNG sale would be profitable, I would NOT have any objection. Hey, this game is already without any subscription fee! I can easily let go a few “rare” skins which have absolutely NO advantage in game play. Let those want them pay for them, I see it a win-win situation to almost everybody. Come on guys, count what you already have and be content.
This is their business model, the target customers are those who would spend money to buy RNG stuffs. They are motivated because those skins would be rare and has perceived value. You want it? Pay it! That’s simple enough. I don’t know why people would be upset by this RNG things… just ignore it!
We have one of this “bug” yesterday.
I like this dungeon very much. Thanks A’net. Your effort is appreciated!
