If you have stability (in other words, are not playing a Necro.. but that’s an issue for another post).
Necros can get 3s stability on Death Shroud activation with Foot in the Grave.
Engineers and thieves are the ones that lack reliable stability.
Red for my red-skinned demoness sylvari warrior.
Gold for my gold-skinned angelic sylvari mesmer.
I can bet you that a lot more people bought Rox’s Quiver and Braham’s Shield than they will these RNG boxes of frustration.
I can bet you the exact opposite.
Seconded. If you look around at players in high population areas, you will see more fused weapons than Braham/Rox weapons, and the fused ones would have taken more gems to obtain.
Perhaps if it had been swapped, more gems would have been spend on the fused weapons, but I wouldn’t count on it without seeing some real market numbers, which we’re not going to get.
I have not seen a single Southsun Cove box. Perhaps I’m not playing as long as you (only ~2 hours a day), but it seems strange that I haven’t seen one. Perhaps I’m not killing enough Veteran Karkas. =/
Female Sylvari: Esca Flonne
Referencing both Escaflowne and Disgaea’s Flonne. Using gold and white for an angelic look.
I was disappointed in Faren as well. Being an NPC in my human’s story, I expected SOMETHING to be different.
The back pieces, achievements, mini-game, and events are all good in my book. Lack of cutscenes feels unimportant for me here.
I’m not getting that graphical problem, so it might be something depending on your graphics settings or your card. I’m running a Radeon HD6870 with graphics turned almost all of the way up.
Yeah I’ve noticed this too. After I would use sword #3 and then press it again to swap, it wouldn’t go off, but I would have already pressed #2 for frenzy. So I would be standing in the wrong spot using blurred frenzy.
For this, I think that there is a short cooldown on skill #3, so you can’t just hit it twice in succession. You need to wait a moment for the skill to come off of a very quick cooldown before you can swap.
As for the Blurred Frenzy, I’ve never noticed. Might just be me not paying attention, though.
I’ll sign onto this. I sometimes end up retrying a skill 4 or 5 times just because I’m moving and the terrain isn’t flat where I’m aiming.
Check your inventory. She leaves an item that you can use to get the gun out without visiting her.
Crab Toss mini-game IS fun, and you don’t need to do it. I’ll just be over here, having fun with it.
I love the Crab Toss, even with the lag and the constant dying. It’s a mini-game. If you don’t enjoy it, don’t play it. You can get 25 achievements just by entering the arena once, and given that there are more achievements that you can’t do yet, even that is likely to be unnecessary.
Hm. I hope you can get both of them. I have a demon-themed sylvari and an angel-themed sylvari, so I’m going to want them both.
Hm. I find Shadow Return to be situationally useful, so I wouldn’t want it removed. It would be nice if you could somehow disengage it without spending 2 more init, though. =/
I don’t have a solution, but I’d rather have it left as it is than have it removed. Perhaps reducing the init cost in PvE to 1 would make it more palatable?
The problem with backpedaling is that it is the slowest form of movement, and you can get a similar effect (moving away from your enemy while being able to attack them) just by strafing at an angle away from them.
As for why I use strafe and not turning with keys, it’s because I turn with the mouse much faster and with more control than I’ve ever gotten with the keyboard keys. So, I removed it as an option and put my interact/elite skills where the strafe keys used to be.
I’m using an FPSGun (I won it in a raffle; don’t judge me) with the following setup:
Movement:
E: Forward
S: Strafe left
D: Backpedal (rarely used; perhaps I should eliminate it)
F: Strafe right
C: About face
Mouse back-button: Dodge
Skills:
1-5: 1-5
Q: Heal
A: Utility 1
Z: Utility 2
X: Utility 3
W: Elite
F1-4: Profession skills
Other:
`: Weapon swap
R: Interact
V: Target nearest enemy
Tab: Step through targets
Mouse scroll-click: Take called target
Mouse forward button: Push to talk on Mumble
I don’t have a link, but there was a thread where someone had datamined some gem store strings that seemed to indicate that some more skins would be put into the store (sounded like the Primeval Armor that is currently there) at some point. No mention of if it would be with the Southsun story, or if it is something for the future. Heck, it might even be a string for something that was planned, but won’t ever be released.
I’ve been having this issue more and more as I started playing a mesmer (over my previous playing of a warrior). With the mesmer, I might adjust my camera a little bit, suddenly be targeting one of my clones, and then be unable to use an illusion skill due to not targeting an enemy. The targeting really needs to NOT change on right-click, or have an option to not use right-click targeting of allies/enemies.
Our development team reviews play input on a regular basis. They are aware of this suggestion, but have not yet reached a decision on what changes, if any, they will make to targeting.
There is a lot going on right now with the upcoming event, but after that, the team will take a look at a lot of different game elements, and may make some changes in the future.
Sorry I don’t have more specific information, but you can be sure this is not being ignored or rejected without due consideration.
Thanks for understanding.
Any updates? This was posted months ago and I still have right-click targeting
Isn’t the end of F&F may 16th’ish? Maybe they will have time to do a fix in end of May patch or June patch.
I hope so. Although I haven’t previously posted in this thread, this has been a problem for me since release, so I figure I’ll just post to get another user name in the thread.
As an example, I’m going to type a set of comparisons below, preview the results, and then submit it. If the bug doesn’t appear, I’ll do an edit to repeat it.
1 < 3
4 >= 4
5 > -1
EDIT: Didn’t actually save the HTML-safe text when I did the preview. Here’s the edit.
I’ve been leveling a mesmer (started last week), and I’ve just reached level 20. I’m finding that using the following pattern, I can kill most mobs and veterans solo:
Focus 5 -> Focus 4 on warden -> Sword 3 on curtain (retaliation) ->; Sword 3 again (more retaliation) -> Sword 2 -> Swap -> Staff 5 -> Mind Wrack -> Staff 3 -> Staff 2 -> Staff 4 -> Swap -> Repeat as cooldown allows, with some more shatters as you generate too many clones or they get killed
Obviously, there are other things to consider, like the use of Null Field and Feedback, or using Signet of Inspiration to copy your boons to nearby friendlies, but it’s been pretty cakewalk, and I haven’t even been keeping up with having level appropriate gear.
Granted, when my warrior was level 20, I didn’t have to swap or use all of my weapon skills to kill everything in the room. =/
If I were you, I’d buy the skin now and wait to apply it until the item is infused. I don’t think that you’d be able to infuse it after reskinning, or possibly the skin would be lost when you do.
I have town clothes on a toggle, and I believe I’ve been able to switch to them while in SAB. Perhaps you can try running through without fighting while wearing your town clothes?
I’m on board with making it possible to just play in your town clothes, though.
I would also like this noise. I keep hearing it as "Yeah, boy!", though.
Just adding my voice here. I loved Cantha, the Jade Sea, the Echovald Forest, the Luxons, the Kurzicks, and Shing Jea Monastery. Kaineng City was an interesting idea, although the wooden terrain everywhere wasn’t really that interesting.
I feel like having Cantha in Guild Wars 2 can only add to the quality of the game. I’d like to see more Asian-themed items and abilities.
I think it’s fine as it is.
Personally, I swapped that out for “Nearest Enemy”, which is actually much more useful.
I also did this, as it is far more useful for targeting relevant enemies (imo). I wouldn’t mind being able to have it filter out non-hostiles, though.
Just a thought that crossed my mind (not the best thing to go off of, I’m sure), but I would pay several gems to be able to revive someone by poking them with my foot. I’ve seen the animation for things like rubbing off graffiti on the floor, so the animation is already there, and it would be funny to allow you to threaten, dance, kick, laugh, etc. someone back into the fight.
…
That is all.
