A quit feature can be added in Ranked but definitely not in hotjoin or practice pvp.
Before the game even starts, you have people quitting or trolling… simply because they don’t like their team composition or they lose mid at the start and think that’s the only way to win a match… so they stop playing altogether.
It’ll add higher tocixity to the game for obvious reasons. Think about it, players will be kittening about others not hitting the quit button when mid is lost, or they’re behind by 50 points… suddenly there’s absolutely no hope right? =/
Again, quit function should only be added in Ranked pvp… but only after a set amount of time. Preferably enabled at half time like, 7m in.
I agree, if one was to be implemented, it would not be needed in hotjoins. Custom Arenas should have the option to enable it however.
I don’t see why we cant have it. There are games where you know you have no chance at winning or it is 4v5. I’d rather just end those and go back to queuing to hopefully get a game with people in my MMR. Make it so you cant forfeit until there are 10 minutes left in the game and make it so 3/5ths of the team have to agree to forfeit.

renewing stamina: no don’t need this nerfed. eles depend on dodges to stay alive. other classes got their vigor nerfed because it was a 1 point trait, this is a 2 point trait. Engi’s didn’t get their vigor nerfed either btw, still 100% uptime. I can only see nerfing it by like 5 seconds to 4 seconds that wouldn’t be extremely harmful.
Elemental attunement: this trait is what gives zerker Ele a lot of their defenses. I may be bias because I play Fresh air ele but I don’t believe nerfing it would be the right thing. Anet designed classes to have specific defensive capabilities such as thieves with blinds and stealth and engis with blocks. ele’s defenses are dodges and protection so taking away one of those would be very detrimental.
Warrior Adrenaline: no I don’t believe it was over nerfed and making CI proc no matter what is definitely not a good thing in terms of skillful play.
Gear Shield: I think giving it a 25 second CD but keeping it at 3 second duration is a better change
Celestial Amulet: I don’t know if nerfing celestial after the might changes is a good idea. if it stays how it is now but without might, it will stay in the meta but won’t be dominant over it. you may be right though, I can’t really tell yet.
Sigils: don’t see why Sigil of intelligence needs a nerf really, air/fire does need a nerf but idk about deleting them. they seem to fit into the same category of problems as incendiary powder. I think lowering the duration of doom sigil would be good. again, I don’t see why geomamcy should be nerfed, if anything, reduce the duration, not the intensity.
The latest patch notes said that there were some improvements made to the matchmaking system. My experience today says otherwise. The first two matches i had today were awful. In the first match, 4 of my teammates went home….. all four of them. one of them was even afk at start, when he got back, he saw me all by my lonesome going mid and decided to go home with the other 3 -.- In the second one, I was 2v1ing at far the entire game and my team was two capped in a 4v3 the entire game. I don’t wanna sound self absorbed or anything but I know I shouldn’t be matched with these people
try using 3rd party software like battle ping to help lower your ping, I’ve heard that helps. never really tried since I’m too poor to buy an EU account
To all the people defending turret Engi by saying that it’s bad at everything and only fills one role, I think the real question should be, why should AI builds be even slightly viable? they promote passive play and don’t give players any incentive to get better at the game, which is my definition of kitten build.

The OP has some very poorly thought out suggestions if you ask me.
He demands things like magnet pull be visible from stealth, then claims thief is fine, when they can pull from stealth. Gear shield is fine, what a ridiculous request. IP should probably be reworked entirely rather then to have an icon for being off cooldown, at least that would be my preference.
The elementalist suggestions are unspecific and generally unreasonable.
Why do necro marks need new animations, they are clearly different now. Talk about a waste of time.
Please stop protecting your own class, so we can make this game better.

In a good spot.Because pull on engi is in most meta builds and oftenly used paired with other useful skills while thief scorpion wire has no team viability.
about gear shield, even the best engis would agree that CD on this skill is ridiculous.
and marks, no they are not different, only 5 is different, while 4 is extremely op as well while share the same animation.
how is ele suggestions unreasonable in anyway. reduce the burning which the best ele suggested this as well and air whip abuse, and vigor also suggested by the best ele.
You’re just cherry picking the most sensible Ele changes he’s suggesting and ignoring the ambiguous and potentially devastating change like this:
1. Re-balance the Healing Power scale with Water Attunement Heals.
And then on Engies
3. Re-balance the Skill base damage on Pry Bar, Throw Wrench.
Support Eles and Power Engies not unviable enough guys. Burn them along with Cele Engi/Ele
Oh dear I have thought about that, so I made such suggestions.

So power ele/berserker ele won’t get any impact from this balance change.
Support ele must have to run full cleric to be effective like it supposed to be.Re-balance the Skill base damage on Pry Bar, Throw Wrench.
This one might be my typo, should be re-balance the Power scale with Pry Bar, Throw Wrench. So in this way power engi/berserker engi can still hits hard while Celestial Engi can’t reli pull out any burst damang like berserker engi.
Fresh Air ele meta build uses heal on water swap, nerfing will affect its sustain which wouldnt be that good :/
Can’t they fix this problem by just making immobilize not affect the vertical axis?
I like the proposed might stacking changes, the numbers seem pretty good. I don’t like the idea of diminishing returns on things like doom sigil. It’s already pretty strong, why not nerf the poison duration by 1-2 seconds instead of the effects intensity? Also I don’t feel like intelligence is that strong to warrant a nerf.
P.S. Nerf celestial by 38 points per stat so it’s 400 each and it can satisfy my OCD ____

a while ago a feature was added to legendaries allowing them to be swapped among characters and change the stats at will. It was very convenient and was a great idea! However, using this feature can be a little awkward when it comes to sigils.
Say with my bolt, I use berserker stats with a Sigil of air for my thief. But then I swap it to my ranger to put on apothecary stats for my beastmastery build. Everything is fine except I have the wrong sigil! Using air with a 4% crit chance is just silly isn’kitten
I don’t know if this idea has already been suggested and forgotten/shot-down but what if you could change your sigils on your legendary at will? I mean we made/paid for an item worth over 2k or even 3k gold! Shouldn’t we have the luxury to change sigils with out paying? It may just be ridiculous but to me it seems like a good quality of life change
You can turn it off in settings, there is a drop down menu for it

I was thinking it would be nice if each person’s MMR was based around whatever profession they play. Essentially have 8 ratings, the highest being the one affecting the leaderboards. It is annoying when you are playing in the higher tier matches and have someone who is on thief for the first time. It would also help ease players into classes as they play with lower rated people. I know this is just a dream but it would be nice.
You’re right ostrich, they get more CC. Because the 3 second almost instant cast launch on a 15 second recharge by just having a rifle wasn’t enough
I would like to know what Arenanet’s and even the communities opinion on AI centered builds is. It concerns me that we have these mindless but effective builds in the meta and with the changes to spirit weapons, more may come.

This site is laughable in the sPvP aspect. Doesn’t have D/P thief as meta even though it’s on the same level and has no ranger builds in meta or great. While rangers may not be the best atm they still have a meta too lol. They even put spirit ranger on the same level as power and traps. Spirits are at leat on great tier if you refuse to put it on meta. Other classes have the same problems too
+1 to Vee Wee, those runes are balanced and would help some builds
I think downed state should stay but they should add a button or something to kill yourself because in some situations it’s just not a good mechanic at all

Hi, I’m Trig! I play GW2 a LOT and I’ve decided I want to join a team. my main class is Ranger (don’t hate you nubs) but i also play D/P thief a good bit. I consider myself to be adequate with D/D ele and shatter mesmer too. I can fufill the roll of a home point defender with D/D ele or spirit ranger, roamer with thief, condi ranger, and shatter mesmer, or team fighter with shatter mes or power ranger. I would like to be in a team with people who have all been top 500 at some point on either leaderboard and be rank 80. the use of Teamspeak 3 is a must and be able to take criticism. I play thief a lot and almost exclusively D/P. I have to admit, it gets to a point where the blind spam is just cheese. I suggest changing the blind duration on shadow shot to 1 second or however long it takes to teleport to the target. It would allow for more skillful play and not allow perma blind (if they’re standing in BP they’re just idiots). If you time your shadow shots right then the change wouldn’t matter but if you don’t, well then you just can’t be carried as hard. You may need to lower initiative cost for shadow shot with this change but idk. Don’t change BP to a dark field it would ruin the weapon set by making it have no stealth which means to backstab which is horrible DPS for a thief.
I was looking at this trait and the description given in the skill bar and it feels a little lackluster. It is a 10% buff to you and a 5% buff to the pet. In theory it’s a 15% buff in total but if you look at traits other classes have it is pretty poor. Thieves get 10% against any condition or only 5 trait points, warriors get 10% against bleeding targets for only 5 points, guardians get 10% against burning for just 2. I think the 10% buff from predators onslaught should be raised to 15% to make it do more than the 5 point traits for other classes and equal it out to 20% which is comparable to other classes’ grandmasters.
I’m looking for some help with getting a good build for a thief in WvW. I mainly play my thief in sPvP so I don’t really know what the meta is for one in WvW. The main thing I need help with is a weapon set. I’ve been playing D/D stealth build which is nice but the damage is kinda lack luster. I’ve been seeing other thieves running D/P which I plan to try next but I also see thieves going S/D which is my favorite weapon set in sPvP. The main objective for the build should be running with a guild group of 15-20 people and doing a thief’s job such as picking off people that are low and the back line So if I can get some tips on weapon sets or even a full build for a thief that would be awesome! My guild has recently started doing some fractals daily and I want to join in. I’m looking for a fractal build that works in low levels but can also do well in high level fractals. I’m kinda a noob at PvE, I play sPvP mostly so any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I recently found out that you could change you in game music, so naturally I tried to do it. after a few tries I got it to work and it was awesome. until the next song came on. whenever the song switches or it goes from like ambient to battle music the game crashes. it says a serious error occurred and wants me to send a report to Arenanet. Has anyone also experienced this problem and/or know a solution? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the input, I’m definately going to change soothing disruption to cleansing wave. I am either going to keep cleansing water and take soothing wave instead of cantrip master or I will keep cantrip mastery and take powerful aura for team support. I’m still undecided about whether to put 10 in air or earth. I was also thinking about swapping sigil of energy for sigil of generosity

Ok, so we all know that the new ranger trait, Strider’s Defense, is horrible, RNG based, and unwanted. My idea is that the trait survival of the fittest be moved to Skirmishing in its place. It will have better synergy in that tree and people will stop QQing. What will fill the gap in Nature Magic you ask? I propose a trait that lets our signet’s passive bonuses affect 5 allies (or even 10) in a modest 600 radius. I believe this trait would be invaluable and give something unique to ranger. It would give melee rangers a trait to go for (as I know they wanted one) and the stigma of rangers providing no support in WvWvW would be alleviated some. It would be a step in the right direction for rangers in my opinion. Who wouldn’t want more toughness, a health regen source, a condi clear, or even 25% more movement speed? Please make this a thing Anet

Lately I’ve made an awesome build for my mesmer. I was looking around and noticed that Valkyrie ascended trinkets don’t exist. why is that? there is a mix of zerker and valkyrie but that only gives 18 vitality which is a major hit to my survivability and I don’t need that extra damage. I don’t find it fair that other builds can get their stats but I can’t get mine. Is there a reason they don’t have this and do other people side with me?

You won’t do super high damage so the poison comes in handy so they can’t heal back as much. You’ll have about 3.2K armor and be healing at about 160 per second with an extra 133 every 3 seconds. That health per sec basically acts as a buffer to mitigate damage. No to mention that you can get around 48 sec of regen easily for more health. NEVER use your signets, that will mean death. You want those passive effects at all times. Use protect me when fighting DPS people like backstabbing thieves, it can also help if your heal is on CD and your low on health. Another thing is to not be afraid to use your heal and elite, better to be safe then sorry. Dodge whenever possible cause it gives you protection and invulnerability, super useful. The way it is traited, you have a faster endurance regen rate which is awesome. You’re going to have an extra dodge on SB and 3 extra on S/D, remembering this is key. Swap whenever you can because you get either an extra heal or an extra poison. Use your F2 skill whenever possible on both pets. You hound will heal you for over 3k and so will your Moa and your Moa grants protection. Swap your pets immediately when they die but only then. When engaging in combat, start with you hound and SB using your 4 skill. That should be all, this build takes some getting used to but then you are used to it, you will dominate!
ANET, WHY YOU BEING SO STUPID?!?! Over the past few new releases, almost all the things you have announced are accountbound. This includes the settler’s prefix, the celestial prefix, now the ascended crafting things, and I’m going to guess when they include precursor crafting it will be bound. This benefits nobody, and could be awesome without it being bound. I play WvW and with this new weapon grade, mine are obsolete. Now it requires me to get 2 other crafting professions to 500 as soon as possible and, ain’t nobody got time for that. It would be quicker and easier to just buy then off of the TP and the people that do make them will probably get lots of gold for it. Now that they aren’t going to be bought off of the TP, it makes the TP utterly useless. It makes it where the bad weapons go to die. In my opinion and in that of many others, this was a bad idea.
they give you town clothes that look so cool but nobody uses them because they are useless! i think they should give them a use in contests of how epic and awesome you can make you character in town clothes!
