PUT THE “GUILD WARS” BACK IN GUILDWARS
Now first of all i would like to say i would like a guild hall that is perhaps instanced, but it is somehow linked and can be invaded AT ANY TIME IN REAL TIME, now to conteract this statement, make it so that guilds can hire guards (that are weaker then us, so we feal like actual heros, and our enenmeis feal like elite enemies)
Im just thinking out oud for the top part.
TL;DR VERSION
Ok so as you know you can claim outposts for your guild, i think this is a clever idea, and can be expanded and improved apon to make somthing truly unique to guild wars and bring the guild back into guild wars.
Think of it as your own guild hall in wvw.
first of all i say increase the incentive for guilds to claim a fort and add more features.
*(Note: Most of these have 2 tiers, even the FIRST teir ex:Replace repairman with your own need to be upgraded, so when you first claim an area you have to research even the basic guild advantages, that even counts for the ability to place your guild bonus flags in wvw at your keep)
Replace repairman with your own Guild Repair merchant
If you guild claims a fort, make all repairs ONLY at said fort free for ONLY your guild members.
This can be upgraded to repair for half the price to NON guild members
ofcourse only at your claimed fort.
(this is an upgrade and would take some sort of points / gold / influence, but just claiming should allow your guild to have free repairs at this area)
Commander aura give a small 10 % boost in stats to ONLY guild members in a raiduis around claimed fort, the radious should extend a decent way outside of the fort.
Upgrade: Your guild can then upgrade the commander aura to give 5 % all stat increase to any players inside radious near your claimed fort.
Claimed defence Once your guild claims a keep, let the guild place bowcarts/trebs/reinforced walls/Oil/ANYTHING 15 percent faster But only INSIDE and RIGHT OUTSIDE claimed fort.
Upgrade:Your guild can then further upgrade this using some sort of point currency and or gold to let ANYONE on your team to build defences within claimed fort area 8 percent faster.
Guild Supply If theirs a supply area inside claimed keep/area your guildmates can carry / take 33% more supply with them
Upgrade: This can be upgraded so any fellow teamates can take 20% more supply from the supply area in claimed keep.
Guild Spawn All your guild mates can spawn here for free aslong as this is not contested and your guild has claimed said place
Asuran Alarm System Sends a signal which displays in the Guild page log when claimed guild fort/place is under siege. If you also have Guild spawn, you can click alert to insta spawn at said claimed fort, aslong as its not contested yet.
Asuran Stealth Detector System Will spawn a tower that has 1 skill that detects stealth characters in an area that surrounds your claimed fort it reaches outside the fort for a nice perimeter,
Cool down : 10 minutes (needs to be long maybe longer, this is a niche thing that could be useful and could not depending on situation) (Stealthed units will be forced to go unstealthed if caught in the area)
Upgrade: attaches Asuran Tracking “frequncifer” (visually creates another part that looks like an asuran tech equiv to a satalite, but not too much.
This upgrade will cost a lot and take a long time to complete building but it essentially will mark enemies on your map just like a party member, except its in red – this would last 20 seconds only.
(note: both parts of this would take a long long time to build and cost a ton, price would have to be tweaked until only guilds who have owned an area for a long long time would be able to even build the first unupgraded part of this, this would be accomplished by making it have a build time just like current guild upgrades, except would take like a few days and if the area gets taken over once, you lose all guild things even if you manage to re-take fort.
So heres some rough draft ideas that im throwin around to make guilds seem more guildy and but the guildwars back in guildwars.
Guild flags this one is already in the game i beleive, but im not sure if its how i want it to be to encourage guilds to claim areas, so make it that guilds can only place their free guild booster stat flags (ex. guild karma buff flag, guild magic find bonus flag)
AFTER theive claimed and researched guild flags.
Also the enemy invaders would get an even NICER added bonus if they capture a GUILD CLAIMED fort / area thus giving incentive to target these guild operated outposts , that plus the fact once a guild is in charge they have many options to give their team an edge, will create mini proxy battles.
