If one day I buy a commander tag of my own, I’ll probably become one of the most defensive commanders ever … after taking SM, I’d immediately lay down 10 ACs and Ballistas, covering both inner gates, running supply from Overlook, Pang and Speldan to do it.

As one of the most defensive commanders on SBI, I can tell you it is not as easy as it sounds. We’ve had completely sieged towers fall to the sheer number of SOR’s forces. They will push in, wipe your eleventy billion pieces of siege, then proceed to eat you for breakfast.

It can be fun to hold/farm them as long as possible, but yah…

SBI deserves full value for the win. They played for the ppt and the results show. Not sure what the issue is here, why try to troll a server playing the game how it was designed?

Seems like a silly question. No one respects a bandwagon, specially one created to dominate silver league, so you get trolled. Not sure why that is not expected as I am sure there are a bunch on your server that trolled Kaineng.

We actually never fought Kain. We were falling so hard, and they were rising so fast, we skipped each other. xD

But still. SBI goes to win this matchup (apparently we played for PPT as hard as possible) and continues to strive for the Gold league, and we are still told that we are stacking for silver league. xD

I will add Mag to the list of servers that are all waiting for us to get stomped. BP is waiting, IoJ is waiting, YB is waiting. Now we shall add you to the list. And when we don’t implode in a losing fight, I will watch everyone slink back to their own matchup threads. xD

Idk there’s not much curiosity. You’ll lose to TC, settle as 5th. I don’t think people care about you getting stomped, it’s just fun to talk trash to bandwagon servers. We did it to Kain, DB as well.

We used to make fun of TC a lot, but they luckily mellowed out and stopped being siege-hungry tower sitters. Now they’re the most fun server we fight after they fought t1 a lot and a chunk of their population realized PPT doesn’t mean anything.

I see SBI going one of two ways: either you fizzle out your fairweathers when the reality of PPT being meaningless hits and the slow transfer trickle begins, or your guilds start playing for PvP like TC started to do.

We need this resets matchup to be Maguumybears, SoS, and SBI as a grand exit to the rng matches. Would probably be very even, SBI won’t be able to dominate night time anymore due to SoS’s night time presence and maguuma will pressure SBI’s NA presence so it could really be anyones game.

I would love to finally meet you in-game Rooster.

That was SE camp, not tower Blod. Even then, it was a tough battle against those upgraded npc’s.

I stand corrected – I am still learning the difference between camps and towers. Also, I keep standing in these square spaces in the center of our map, but no cookies rain from the sky, no matter how much I dance around. I am confused.

Tomorrow I might try to take a camp with only 38 people. Who’s with me??? We can do this!

Even though this match up was very lopsided, I want to thank both YB and Kain for sticking with it and and putting up a good fight on the SBI BL.

LEXS/SBHS had some great fights with both of you and were the population difference not so huge, I am sure you’d have handed our kitten to us!

SBI really wasn’t aiming to go up in rank so quickly, and as we’ve seen, the effects are not fun for any of us. It has been a boring 4 weeks, silly Anet.

I understand your frustration, but these ideas really won’t work. I say this as a commander who spends 99% of my time on the home borderland. Because I am not out there grinding wxp my rank is only 240. My first priority is defending/upgrading the homeland so even though I am experienced and a “good” commander, I would be penalized because I choose to forego wxp in favor of the best interests of my server.

People should learn quick enough who is good and who is not, good being a subjective term.

Some of you may know me already, but let me introduce myself for those who do not. I am the leader of LEXS (League of Extraordinary Siegers), one of the guilds that transferred from Devona’s Rest to Stormbluff Isle a few weeks ago.

I’ve enjoyed my time so far on SBI and have had a chance to meet some awesome people here. Now that I’ve become acclimated to our new home, I wish to strengthen the ranks of LEXS with new members from guilds across SBI.

1. Home BL defense, first and foremost.
2. Upgrading keeps and towers.

4. Small-man havoc groups.

And yes, it is a game where you get to be silly and have a good time. At the same time, though, someone has spent hours motivating, training, and teaching people to do something as a group. Losing isn’t fun, and it is childish to add numerous insults after injury. That’s what gets people kittened off.

You’d be surprised how many lurkers there are reading this thing. And it sure doesn’t appear that you have any sort of lock down on your guild. Either that or your entire guild is full of trolls and you can only keep 95% of them from being kittens both in-game and on the forums. Either way, you are giving yourself a bad reputation.

Lol, yea… the only [XOXO] I have ran into so far fight at towers and run inside at 10% health (tower-hump), or wait til they are 5v1 against me. They specifically are some of the wrost BM players I have seen yet actually. Made some guilds on JQ look like the popes royal guard.

Oh well, here is to hoping there are some actually honorable players in SBI…. ugh :/

There were 3 guys in SBI this afternoon specifically that have no backbone. Tags were [XOXO] [RISE] and [LEXS] that were horrid tower-humpers and runners. If XOXO is just trully NSP… they should recheck their rosters. Cause someone is running around in SBI Invader giving their guild a VERY VERY bad name. Hell all of those 3 guys from SBI are giving those guilds a very bad name lol.

Whomever was on today from [LEXS] giving us a bad name, please cease and desist immediately. I’m mortified that you were caught without a backbone. The horror!

I understand where you are coming from. I was on DR from the day I started playing and just recently moved to SBI due to some of the same reasons you listed. We’ve fought each other on our respective servers in the past, so I probably don’t need to go in to more details.

You might find what you are looking for on Stormbluff Isle. I spent a lot of time researching servers and it came down to SBI or SOS. If you want to read posts from several severs in regards to what I was looking for, here is my “looking for a new home” thread from a couple weeks ago:

You might also be happy here because several DR, FC, and even DH players/guilds have moved over, so you have people here that know what it is like to be near the bottom and have learned to adapt when the odds are against them.

The League of Extraordinary Siegers [LEXS] might be a good fit for you on SBI.

We are a Stormbluff Isle WvW guild that focuses primarily on our home borderland. We siege, upgrade and defend our towers and keeps as well as take and upgrade camps and run small-man havoc/ninja groups when bored.

Repping is not required, but always appreciated (our members come from guilds across the server so we capture those who are truly interested in what we do). Most of our coordination is done via TS.

No zerging for LEXS. Though SBI does have it, you’ll have a choice of many things to do here and need not ever zerg. There is a great community on SBI!

To the DH at SW tower this morning on the SBI BL, kudos to you for not giving up and eventually taking the tower. That was fun.

I am quite familiar with IOJ, having transferred from DR to SBI recently. I think SE would be happy on either server, however, since I’ve never been on IOJ, I can only promote the benefits of SBI.

The community and players here are awesome, and you have your choice of so many things to do from zerging to small-man havoc, BL defense to EB capping.

Feel free to contact me in-game if anyone from SE wants to know how our transfer worked out from DR to SBI. Happy to give you my view as a new SBI wvw’er. I do need to say that we paid for our own transfer here, so don’t expect gold to assist.

Having another guild during NA would be great on SBI. To the warrior (?) from SE I spoke with a couple of days ago – that was a fun fight against those 2 BP and I hope to see you on SBI soon!

To all the folks that are leaving DR and are giving excuses to try not look bad: You are leaving the sinking ship. You ARE bad. Because when the server need you most, you just decide to leave because you think “it’s not worth it”…

The thing everyone needs to remember is that this is a game and no one has the right to tell someone else how or where to play.

I am no longer having fun on DR. I am confident that most on DR will tell you I have poured my heart into the server and my desire to leave doesn’t make me a bad person.

It’s sad to see Devona die, was there since October and have seen it rise and fall. I know what it’s like to stick it through the thick and thin, but there is only so much you can take. AD and BSty stuck around through about 3-5 rebuilding attempts? It got to the point where there was no fun to be had in those tiers, and we weren’t getting the fights we hoped to get.

All the people we knew on Devona are leaving, and it’s time you leave it behind aswell. From what I can tell, OBS and EDGE went to Crystal Desert. Bags went to SBI, Beast is going to BP, and DDLG will be leaving soon too. We went to Ehmry Bay and are liking it here, we came for the roaming scene though.

Good luck wherever you take that Zultz clown Gonna miss that guy.

haha well… To be fair, the fun factor for picking up my dog’s droppings went up when compared to the early days of DRB. hahaha. I think our players, generally speaking, are a lot more seasoned then those days. The amount any given one-of-us players has learned, since, is pretty tremendous. Who doesn’t get mad, besides Lion. He’s a saint and should not be allowed to have that metric included.

I’m not going anywhere for at least a week, but I won’t be at fight night. I am a staff ele and don’t provide much fun in a duel.

I’d like to clear up a few things for the people who have whispered me on DR. Leaving was a hard decision to make and I had considered going by myself as my goal was to do as little harm to DR as possible.

DR has always been my home, and I’ve been through our rebuild(s), but this time my heart is just not in it. I think the turning point for me was when Bukems left (I miss him a lot). Things have just gone downhill from there, and I feel partly responsible for that as I think I could have done more (recruiting, mentoring, morale, etc.). I apologize to anyone I let down.

That being said, it is time for me to try something new. I will miss my friends on DR who are not moving, you are a great bunch of people! I’ve not had a chance to talk to everyone I need to, so if you wish to move with me and are not in LEXS please let me know, I’d be happy to have any of you with me. I am farming gold this week to assist with transfers for those who do not have the cash.

In the end the exodus might be the best thing that has happened to DR. Change can be good, and getting rid of the people who are burnt out might have a positive effect on your overall morale.

Thank you for the responses so far. The one thing we don’t want to do is bring too many people to a new server and cause it to go up in ranks too far. We have no interest in T1.

A weak NA presence is not a bad thing, as we will bring NA players to the new server.

Hello fellow WvWers. I am a commander on DR and guild leader for LEXS (League of Extraordinary Siegers). We are looking for a new home somewhere in the middle ranks.

About us: we are a hardcore NA wvw group and enjoy defending our BL. We don’t mind doing the dirty work of sieging, repairing, and upgrading our keeps. We are fun and laid-back and prefer to avoid drama. I don’t mind commanding pugs and my first priority is to defend what we own.

What we are looking for: a server with friendly people, not too zergy, and at least a decent nighttime/oceanic presence. TeamSpeak 3 is preferred.

We are considering: SOS, SBI, YB or CD.

While it is sad to leave DR, we are not having fun there anymore and need to move on. Please contact me either here or in-game if you think we would be a good fit. Happy to talk to anyone on TS about our situation.

Was doing some solo roaming in DR BL, stumbled my way into the water camp near AR spawn and found quite the mass of siege. Five trebuchets pointed in all directions ready to intimidate any AR that dare wander close – a crafty strategy indeed! Totally mangled my AoE limit trying to clear the guards as quickly as possible too.

LEXS was so disappointed you destroyed our fine siege. It was lovingly placed with care and precision.

Well, I’ll give you guys this: you defend your borderlands really, really well. Too bad you missed it; the only thing you had left on DRBL a little while ago was Hills.

It is sad when the forums are more interesting than the actual game. Usually GOM and IOJ provide the DRBL regulars with some excitement and I am sorry to see this week has been so quiet.
