Home players shoulds always have reserved spots and guesters kicked to overflow to make room.
The issue is not guests the issue is that a small disconnected caused by the server can screw up a 1hour-30 min wait time. Which is why i suggest that people that are all ready on the map receive a short reserved spot on that map in case they lose connection.
I understand, but when you reconnect—a guest should be sent to overflow to allow you to resume.
Sure wish the search actually worked so people could use it before rehashing an already covered subject.
The ‘mounts’ subject has been ridden to death and rejected so many times.
If the search feature actually worked like a search feature is supposed to then people might use it more and we wouldn’t get admonished by “the authority”(can’t use the real name for fear of being infracted, which may happen anyway) for posting repeat threads that has happened several times on these forums.
I just report them to the mods and ask for a merge.
Oh crap, not another train thread from someone who want to dictate to everyone else how to play a game. Hope the mods merge them all. If you don’t like the train then stay away. You don’t have to involved in it, especially since all ya want to do is ruin it for others.
There have been so many threads about the train. We really don’t need anymore. If the OP checked them all out I am sure he would realise it is a lost cause. The majority of people that started similar just firmly believe that they should dictate how others play the game and ruin how others like to play! If you don’t like it, don’t join it, don’t play it, go to other maps, but no you want the game to change to reflect your own selfish interests.
and lets lame add embers (fe) and ice (maw) just to mkae run even better and clutter the game. No need for them at all other than visual clutter, add to lag and make the event run longer.
Home server players HAVE TO have priority against ANY guest.
Just because a random, jobless guest guy like to wait 894729824982 hours before an event, you cant kick home server’s players into overflow.

A for instance: I’m a wife, home owner, teacher, etc. I have, let’s say, 2 hours to play on a Saturday night. My server, while a great server, does not have the cooperation to do Tequatl more than once or twice a day. So I sign on, quest to BG, go to Splintered coast, and wait.
Should I be kicked because some person from BG decides on a whim to get Teq 15 minutes prior to the event?
I don’t think so. If I was on BG and wanted to do Teq, I would go and wait, just like everyone else. Not feel entitled because I happen to be on the largest population server.

Just need to do the 3rd path to get an achievement. Actually beating it? who cares. To long, too dependent on others, often bugged out. Same for the path on the puppet—2 more lanes to do and bye to that as well.
Never had a problem with this before (using unlimited gathering tools). I would ignore my attacker unless there was danger of being hurt and just gather away, get my stuff then deal with the attack. Never had ruined mats before—after the patch—it happens everytime I ignore the attack—jezz a lone low level shriek can ruin my gathers. As I have said never had this before.
Stopped on two encounters with the new wurm because limited testing left in bugs whick broke the event (the pirate and bombs going down instead of up). If it wasn’t for that, the wurm would have been done on the second encounter if not the first. Poor quality control has a definitenegative impact of the impressions of the enounter and those responsible for implementation.

Failure to stop the Marionette before the power meter associated with it is filled results in a massive cannon going off and every single player within Lornar’s Pass being killed. Even those possibly on the other side of the map.

Glad GW2 has players who are so great at building a game community.
They no longer seem able to present in person(video), show limited respect for the people that pay them (the consumer) as well as making me much less confident in their ability to add to, fix and develop the game.

Fix the game, the forum and add some real content (new map,race,proffession, pve!)
They fix the RNG and DR in all the other areas of the game and the events would mean much less to me. It’s not fine as it is, but anet isn’t going to change the grind unless it’s to make it even worse and more expensive. So the events don’t need to be changed just to suit what you want. Just don’t use API.
Your wish falls in the same individuals who demand the trains be run a certain way or be eliminated completely. Simply put, it is a personal problem a specific aspect of the game. I would even go father than the post above —--the majority of people (not many) are fine with this aspect. There are so many many other major issues with the game (and forums-e.g. search) that need to be addessed first, some that have been around since day one and have been ignored.
God forbid, 30 minutes of crafting to get to 500. Woe is you.

Well the search function still does not work and those asking about it seem to fall upon deaf ears. So that’s one thing.
Overall, over the last few months I am not happy with the turn this forum has taken. I feel there is a bit of hyper-moderation and I’ve seen many threads and posts disappear or get infracted that I don’t agree should have been actioned (I’m not talking about my own as there are some I earned). I feel like members here with an opinion or point of view that doesn’t agree with Anet feel like they have to walk on pins and needles now for fear of an infraction.
This forum just doesn’t seem fun anymore like it used to. I don’t mean fun as in trash talking Anet because I don’t consider that good natured forum fun, but I mean it seems the fun of casual banter has diminished as a whole. There is too much of a sense of ‘tread lightly’ from what I have seen. I’ve been very active on this forum since April 2013 and over the last 2-3 months I have seen what looks like a steady decline in forum activity as a whole. Maybe that is the intent? To funnel everyone into the CDI threads? I don’t know. I just don’t like the turn it has taken I guess.
Back to the search function, I don’t like seeing threads closed with a moderator note saying, “use the search function before posting” since the search function is broken. It doesn’t work.
+1 for that, and ya it is really ridiculous what the note says about using the search function. They know it’s been useless from day 1.
Dreamy abbadon’s reply on the official post thread is solely in the intention of leading new players in the way Arena.net wants them to, exploration, because guild wars 2 is built around it. I honestly thank him for taking his time making it too.

The guide is great i never did the train before.
Yes i have 5 80’s.
Yes i have fully geared ascended toon with legendary but i never knew how the train in queensdale works.So for me this a the perfect guide.
Both were informative but Tweeky over reacted (imho). If he had a problem with the post a report to a mod would have been more appropriate and less inflammatory.
Btw alot of servers do the train in a different order (and better for reasons discussed above).
Used a remake kit to make my Norn as small as possible, still it’s a pia because of the way the camera was designed and implemented for jumping in this game.
Just read over the dev interview link. As far as I could tell the entire thing was about CDI stuff. Chris seemed super excited about it so I decided to actually skim the CDI thread. There’s a lot of good ideas and a lot of bad ones. Unfortunately out of all these ideas it seems people have decided what the game needs most is Player Housing and Guild Halls. And that somehow these things are going to open up new story and exciting gameplay elements. Pretty disappointing. Not to say I don’t want a Guild Hall cuz I do, but I don’t see it leading to the kind of content I thought most people wanted.
+1 for that!!! I agree with your review of the CDI thread, I’d say very very disappointing. As well as becoming so big it virtually useless unless you have been contributor from the beginning (could be better if the forum actually had a decent functioning search engine). I don’t even bother looking at it anymore.
From what I heard, they want people to make suggestions in the sub-forums most related to the area of the game. I’m not sure how useful that will be in the long-run though; it’ll be better in the sense that it will foster more discussion from players interested in that game’s aspect, but having suggestions spread out across the forums may make it harder to keep track of them, especially on sub-forums that are very fast-moving.
It’s called divide, conquer and ignore.
I’ll be suprised if it is anything more than that.
Quite bluntly I think anyone who spends money on any of these cosmetics (cheap or at a ridiculous price) that do nothing to enhance game play and abilities really need to have their heads examined.

It caused alot of flack and bad feelings and it is sure coincdental this post shows up here tonight after the various confrontations. In the end ET continued/s to go boar,troll,oak ,spider, bandit(sometimes) and wasp whenever it shows up.
It really makes no diff, you still get all the champs other than a few seconds lost and the WP charge (both of which are insignificant).
P.S. didn’t now you owned the server—lol.
lol no, I havn’t left my server Ehmry Bay since I bought the game when it came out. Honestly, I just have seen a lot of new people join my train so I figured I’d post a self help guide to anyone new to trains. The fact you had someone come on right as I posted this is pure coincidence and quite hilarious honestly.

Yes, but when the info that is needed to make an informed decision is purposely left out, overlooked and/or ambiguous they always make a refund. E.G.—buying 2 infused that were the same because the info wasn’t clear that you couldn’t wear two of the same rings (or whatever)—full refund(of laurels) from support.
Look at the permanent gathering tools—when they changed to account bound from soulbound —-full refund for all those extra tools purchased for each character--ful refund of gems.
Just a matter of contacing support. MY problem is with full disclosure that is clear and concise when putting an item on sale, sorta like the snake oil salesman, it’s often lacking.
Only reason to go there is to get Ancient Wood, Orichculum Ore (and a few other truffles and berries) and watch all the bots running around gathering them.
