I only bothered to take one toon through the hearts on lastest map. One visit was enough for me. And still haven’t bothered to hit all the mastery points. The JPs, grinding, search for a few dozen of something,rinse and repeat nature of the maps is getting too repetitive for me. On a semi break-just the dailys, and the pact supply agents, then log out.

It’s a reference to the most recent leaks. It’s consistent with earlier leaks, and doesn’t contain any prediction that has yet been disproven, so … it’s legitimate that people believe it. (Though I’d prefer they note that it’s info from a leak, and subject to change.)
PS: I’m pretty sure that anet would also love to know who gave it out.

I think my issue is visual lag when jumping, being sure that the tap is registered, releasing when I see the start of the jump. Turning down graphics helps a bit but if the JP is flooded with lots of players, sometimes it’s seems like the tolerance between the jump key registering Vs glider deployment is just to narrow.
Yep there are many issues that can impact your jumping ‘tap’ and isn’t as easy as ‘figure out how to change their technique.’ in some cases.

Open pvp would kill the game. (google all the thread about it). As for more bling? No thanks. Actually add more open world similar to what the game had and was when it was 1st released.
Open your nvidia control panel (right click on window screen), click ‘manage 3d settings’ then select the program setting tab. Use the drop down menu to see your games. Find and click on gw2 and you will the games settings ( which can adjust/customize them if you want] . If you can see GW2 there it is obviously an experience issue.
Uninstall GeForce experience. You don’t need it. Too many issues regarding it to get into here , but you can google the program to see the pros and cons.
Of course they will make the people that have been here from day one and bought gems with real money pay full price again.
What alternative do you propose? That it be more expensive to get more players into the game? Isn’t that the sort of logic that leads to fewer new players?
I’m all in favor of ANet including something sweet for veterans; I just don’t think it has to be a reduction in price for the base expansion.
I felt they missed a trick with the last expansion, given the new class, by not automatically including a character slot for owners of the core game, so that they got something extra for paying twice (yes, they did eventually, but only to those who bought within a specific window, and only after complaints and bad PR). This time round, assuming there is no new class so a character slot may not be desirable to all, perhaps they could include a small gems bundle (equivalent to the cost of a slot), to owners of previous versions.
Yep there HAS to be something for the vets. Not including a free character slot last time was a slap in the face. If Anet was reasonable they would come up with a decent pricing plan for all and yes Ill conceived, some one who has never had the game before should pay a onetime full price. They would be getting the core game and 2 expansions for a good price, meanwhile vets paying full price 3 times is a good business model? Not a chance. You get more bees with honey, perhaps Anet would be better served remembering that this time.

Map – waaayyy too vertical, get the deisgners to investigate 3D map references/layouts. Make ALL PoI’s visible on the map layers.
Story end – not enough time to get the final enemy down with the mechanics in place, look at expanding that.
Collection – too many and far too vertical using map-only mechanics to get to some of them. Not my cup of fleas. Jumping Puzzle… WTF?!?! Seriously do you have Josh Foreman designing this for you? It’s a sadist’s dream.

Actually they did have Josh Foreman design the jumping puzzle. I think he designed the general map layout for that matter as well, but not sure on that
Another find the secret pixel to land on exactly. Sorry but that is a major design flaw the the lead should have corrected it. So it’s a negative in from my perspective. Thank goodness for Mesmer portals.
I really do dislike how you can see an event on the mini map and scroll around to find, but if you open up the main map—nothing to see. Use the mini map and off you go. Bad mechanic imho
Sure add housing, make it optional at the cost of $45 a month to maintain all the extra servers (space) and a new and separate dev team (if you opt into housing).
All in the bank because I have a permanent bank access in my shared inventory. But is is a waste of my bank space (just like blade shards that don’t stack —but they SHOULD) so a separate area to store them would be appreciated.
Not a US person. But it would be great to force Anet to reveal the odds for all of their drop rates. They will have to make public the drop rates of the chinese version of the game. I haven’t been able to find them yet.
Every time it happens anywhere in the game it is done intentionally. Simple as that. It’s a pain and can be dealt with. Anet could tweak a few things though to eliminate the problem.
Actually I could see this and support it. I got way too many shards than I could ever use and since they don’t stack (which they should—no reason for anet not to fix that!!!!!!!) they are just eating up space.
I think the next expansion will decide the future of this game. It’s very critical to make up for the shortcomings of HoT. The content was good but there just wasn’t enough of it and a LOT of missed opportunities in the story. We only got 3 real maps and people were expecting a lot more than that. If the next expansion doesn’t go above and beyond then I expect a lot of people will be leaving.
I worries me that these forums seem way less active than they used to be. The front page used to cycle through topics in less than an hour. Now I can post a new topic and get no replies and it will still be on the front page two days later. There are threads on the front page of class forums that are more than a week old and you can’t reply to them without checking the bypass bump box.
A lot of people say the game is great, and maybe it is. But the audience is definitely shrinking…

That could be a big factor, a forum that is broken and isn’t going to be updated (not that it couldn’t be changed but Anet seem to want to address it), very limited interactions with Devs , and a system of moderation that some may feel to be over zealous. Doesn’t really matter, a simple note saying “We are experiencing problems and are working to solve it. Sorry for the inconvenience” isn’t too much to ask.
It doesn’t help your specific issue but I always alt/tab to go to open windows when playing games. Never seen them open minimized. My keyboard allows me to disable the windows key so it doesn’t do anything when I hit it by accident when playing.

Considering they (those that post the Notes) aren’t at work tomorrow, and that April 1st started 43 minutes ago for some, I’m not convinced they “can’t figure out how to read a calendar”.
And thats why all their patches always start as soon as the day changes on the international date line or why Europe and Australia never never has to wait an additional day by their calendar. LOL—I guess its when its convenient for them they can make adjustments.
