Some minor customization would be ok(like colours, collars) but having them be able to look like things from a kids show or game just wouldn’t cut it for me pesonally.
Besides they have quite a few other things that need a prioity fix(es) for the rangers and pets before adding eye candy.

Promote Skill Target — if you do not have a specific target selected, foes stepping into areas-of-effect created by your skills become your new target. (note: targeting a harvesting node/ally when trying to use a skill on a nearby foe will change the target to that foe with this option on) .

I’ll be checking that option, looks like it I’ll be turning it off.

No problems understanding why I don’t get a revive when surrounded by mobs, vets etc. and a major battle. The incidents (more than a few times) were in a situation(s) when there was no enemies and there was 0 chance of being attacked during revive. They actually came over, looked and left.
I have been in major battles where others attempt to rez in the middle of it and succeed, or do a partial, fight and come back and finish the rez. I do the same. There are lots of good peeps playing. Other than a TY and wave not much more needed to be said. Even on vent, conversation drops to a minumum during the heat of battle.
Like you, after being rez/or providing a rez I have enjoyed joining forces and completing an event etc. All without saying much in chat.

When the game forces you to enter pvp just to map completion, or you can’t complete your personal storyline solo, there is somehing fundamentally wrong with the game design. I agree if you enter a pvp, expect to be attacked. However the game design doesn’t take into account the many people that think it is fun to stop others from completing pve task on a pvp area. Others see you as fair game in a pvp area, which is also a legitimate stance to take.
Remove 100% completions, puzzles, etc. out of the pvp areas as well as inabilty to complete the personal stotyline solo.

Agree, it’s often very quiet. PVE is often too difficult because of the lack of others to assist with some of events and more difficult areas.

Just my 2 cents—and will add that sex orientation is not a problem for me. That being said, like politics, religion,nationality (yes this one has come up and acted upon by the C.C. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/Desolation-Battle-Report/page/2 ) etc. can cause a varity of problems, disagreements and in the worst case scenario insults. imho they really don’t need to brought into the games discussion.

I do agree with the lack of social interaction in the game. Many do ignore others comments/text/questions or even helping out in game. The worst case was the other night when I was dead, a few came over to look and ran away with out responding to requests for revive. SAD!

P.S—try a google for a GW2 guild that has others that share your interests, believes etc. Take care.

Agree with the OP, respawn rates are often too fast. I don’t need the game to be easier, but overzelaous respawn rates are not the way to increase the difficulty. They just add to the frustration of playing in some areas.

Ditto—-I’ve seen lot more lately, been junking all the dupes that I have gotten.

I have noticed (imho) that there has been a reduction (it was a low rate already) with black lion keys. Been a while since I have seen a free one.

Thanks for the input. But to give a higher lvl rare back brace and then restrict you to the lowest gems just doesn’t make sense to me. I’ll stick with the official G2 Wiki interpretation that identifies it as a bug.

According to GW2 wiki the lvl 33 back that you get from your personal story is bugged
“The items from the level 33 quests only accept gems without any level requirement in their upgrade slot.”
Was this intentional or is it a bug?
Searched here but didn’t come across an answer. Been trying to add a gem for quite sometime and been trying better gems without any success.
I tried a no lvl requirement +3 power garnet and it worked—-but only allowing the lowest gem(s) to a brace on that you get a lvl 33 doesn’t seem right.
Hopefully this bug gets fixed.

Also back braces —they take gems, but apparently they are bugged.

The only way—join a guild that has Ventrilo ( or whatever)-rent your own vent and invite people. It would just have a negative impact (in so many ways) if it was implemented in game.

First you can’t get 100% map completion without being forced to play in a way you don’t want to, now I find out you can’t complete your own storyline!! Forced grouping and forced PVP. Just a poor design decision.
Guess I won’t bother completing either now.

Yes—-both underwater and on land—this invunerable thing seems to be rearing its’ ulgy head more more recently—never mind the quick respawn rates.

So many times I have waited to be healed and have watched players walk right by, purposely ignoring requests to heal. Would like to see a penalty for those that walk by— loss of exp and karma as well as funding the waypoint cost to the closest repair and the cost of the repair itself. —-Not during battle of course.

As others have said remove/reduce the riduclous cost(sinkhole) of waypoints I wouldn’t want a mount.

First game that I have ever had that had this time for reset. Midnight PST has always been the norm in my experience even for some Euro based games that I have played.
As for anything I do after 8:00 is good for the next day, good chance I won’t get through it and will be in the same boat as today. I’ll just write off dailys as a goal.

What was 8pm picked to role over daily events?
It should be at midnight (or early morning) based on server location and timezone. 8pm is right in the middle of prime playtime. If I could play all day instead of working/family etc, it wouldn’t much. Again I was rushing to complete and was on my last event as the clock chimed 8:00, lost the daily completion awards again.

Suggestion—change the time to a more appropriate one!

If waypoints were free, It wouldn’t matter much to me. Since your only option is spending money(gold sink for the impatient) or walking (yes I know there are free gates) forever, I wouldn’t mind a mount to wisk me around maps and avoid the mobs (flash mobs because they respawn like they were the ‘Flash’) when all I want to do is get from one place to the other.
And yes I would get off the horse and and help/join in as I rode around.

Yes, it happens all the time—and it seems to be getting worse. I target and then say WTF as my pet and arrows attack something else.

The game does recognise mouse buttons.!!!

Use the options/controls to bind in the game. I set button for target and evade to mouse 4 and 5 buttons. Use the in game options. The game determines what is used not what you have it set to for outside of the game.

Thanks , by ‘early on’ I thought I may have missed it. I delayed playing my story for a few days and just retrieved Caladbolg. By early I though it was in the first 4 or 5 chapters of the story not the 16th or 17th. It looks like I’ll get it in the next chapter or two after checking out wiki.

It was broken for a while on my server too, came back to it a few times and had the temp disabled message, checked back a few times an it was still down. After a few days it worked again.

I was hoping there might be something there there to buy, I don’t know if there is.
I read the wiki and it seems I have to earn them not buy them unless in a guild to make them.

Am I missing something, (messed up) or is there no back armour (or something) to equip on the ranger?

I can see all the options in this thread/area, but not in the last two I was reading. Very strange.

I feel it’s somthing the devs could very easily fix or add if wanted. It just another small annoyance—but those small annoyances are adding up.

Got to agree with MLie—If I had seen that while playing , I would have hit the report button as well.
Hopefully his account will be fixed and a lesson has been learned.

Argee, hate fb and don`t use twitter. It`s ok to duplicate the news on those social sites, but only after all news/info/communications have been posted on the games Official web site.

Agree, respawn rates are ridiculous. I kill 2 and by the time I am doing the 3rd, the 1st one is back attacking again. Just seems like a cheap way to make the game harder, but infact interfers with the enjoyment of the game.
May this should be moved to the bug section and get a response from a dev.

Agree, the way the camera moves in and ruins the view and your ability to judge where you are as close to a game breaker as you can get.

Sorry, but I have friends from all over the world in different zones, we like to get together to play. I am sure many others do the same thing. Charging real $$$ to allow us to get together would be a ridiculous punishment/non incentive to play for those that want to arrange a time and server to play together.
