Ya but ER is so bad in WvW they will never have the last couple of vistas/pois. It’s one thing to say go and do it if you really want, but when it is impossible—-the suggestion doesn’t deserve have any merit what so ever.
Gstraight into the wall. How this can be considered anything but a bug is beyond me. It’s the single most annoying thing I have EVER seen in any game.
Not a bug—just shoddy planning and programming. Heck I’d be happy if ‘closest target’ was automatically locked on.
On ER, at 99% and will never get my last couple of spots. In retrospect I wish I had addressed it when server transfers were free. A paid transfer will be the only way I’ll ever achieve it. It really doesn’t matter if I care for WvW or not , it’s irrelevent. The same poi/vista have been owned by others since longer than I can remember and ER just isn’t good enough to take them.
Fixing the wurm should definitly be a part of the patch, in fact, it is so bad it should be hot fixed before the patch is released.

Let’s hope this can be hot fixed right away . Some know that the wurm can take hits and be killed before it can be targeted and use it to their advantage. Even think it’s funny when alot of people don’t get a thing because it is down before it can be tagged.
I’ve got a daily rare chest from Tequatl, then another from Ulgoth the Modniir. I was under the impression there was only 1 daily rare chest per account, but clearly I got 2 for different types of events. Does anyone know how these are grouped?
Like, can you kill Tequatl, Fire Elemental, Ulgoth, and Eye of Zhaitian and get a daily rare from all of them? which can you kill and still get another daily rare from which others?It’s one bonus chest, per day, per account, per event. So you can get a guaranteed rare (or exotic) from each meta-event per day.
Based on my experience (bad luck) it should read ’get a guaranteed exotic and maybe a rare once in a while " from the bonus chest. I am averaging 1 rare about every two weeks if I am “lucky”.
This has been asked for since day 1—but it’s a no go.
At least I could replay the event and get the rare chest again—but only 1 exo instead of the 3 I lost.
On the side—can’t even rememeber that last time I saw a rare drop.
Happened here on Eredon terrace, JUST after we killed shatterer and got our, loot. Rolled a lot of us back to before the event everybody losing the loot they got.
Ditto, lost everything from the event.-2nd night in a row this has happened.
I’ll see if I can replay the event before and get the rare chest and if it happens again tonight before really starting to complain.

I am quite certain we had a rather big notice up on this very forum about a maintenance coming (and twitter for that matter)
and this had nothing to do with that,nor did it occur within the timeframe that was mentioned in the notice.
Same thing happened tome, lots of post on the GW2 facebook but it was repaired fast, though some reported losing items.
Yep—the key drop rate has been so nerfed, I haven’t seen one in many many months. Btw I bought 5 when they were on sale—but that’s it. Won’t again unless on sale.
Or they can only appear/be seen when in a city (lion’s arch, citadel etc.)
I just copy/paste the timer url. Some in th lower lvl/new players just don’t know.
I announce then when they pop, other than that I just remember that I didn’t have a clue at one time too and appreciated the help.

Seems that this has become the games’ normal mode of play.
But with a lvl 80 and lvl 80 exotic gear it is soloable.
They just stopped the exploit… how does fixing it not stop it?
Blame the players who felt the need to abuse this, not Anet for fixing it.
Actually they need to ban the abusers for a week with a warning, then ban for week if they repeat, then 3rd time—gone. Punish the abusers not the peeps who don’t exploit.
Anet continues to screw over legitimate players instead of doing what they should—bring the hammer down.

While randomising colours is a good idea, I feel people are missing the main issue, which is… why is there PvE elements in WvW.. when it is to all intents and purposes nothing to do with PvE.
I would love the change. I thought with the free transfers ‘blue’ would actually be able to get some of poi/vistas that have been owned since forever by the others.
And yes remove pve world completion requirements from wvw maps and I likely wouldn’t care as much.

I wish we had some voice in gw2 because all the different people use different voice chat.
I thought that a guild would have a ventrilo server (or something similar) and don’t rely on the game to provide voice chat. I see some guild recruiting in the chat windows saying they offer vent.

I like the suggestions. The pet names being saved has been a problem since day 1. Many have questioned why. I can’t recall if Anet, said they won’t can’t or just simply ignored the request.
Also button 3 when you are downed—-change it to an immediate rez from the pet—no waiting for the button to charge.

When you guys force an update, the very least you can do is allow the dragon event to finish, or at disable all dragon events well before an update.

It’s a person choice whether they stand around or not, no one is forcing them to or ‘allowing’ them to play more of the game. It’s there choice and the dynamics don’t need to bechanged. Doesn’t affect the availability of people to play dungeons. There are plenty out there.

Read what I said, and who made you a mod—-if you can’t figure out which has less people, that’s your problem, there’s many ways to do it.
It was not an arguement it was a statement from an in game experience I had and shared. I stayed in the overflow with jormag, had a better experience and got more loot. DUH!!!
The problem with these events have nothing to do with guesting or timers. The root problem has everything to do with the paucity of rares and exotics from open world drops. Farming a chain of these events can take as little as a couple of hours where you can potentially bag multiple rares/extotics from each event. Open world farming and even dungeons cannot offer loot rewards of this magnitude for equal time spent. I see this as a serious game imbalance that needs addressing ASAP.

I get decent stuff from a putrid skelk while a vet or champ drops nothing.
The game is incredibly unbalanced in many ways—drops are the most obvious ones and that needs to be fixed 1st.

LOL!!! Seriously, only twice-and I do play every day in prime time.
It does make for impossible 100% map completion inWvW though—POI, Vista and waypoints have been in captured forever——-we must sux. Sure wish I could guest for that aspect of the game just to complete the maps.
But just in case this guesting is the problem people make it out to be—I’ll remain server non grata.
It’s bad enough when I kill a vet and/or a champ and get nothing, and get better stuff from mobs, but DR as well is just wrong.
As someone else did, I am going to copy and paste my reply from another thread aabout the overflow—bottom line I was pleasently surprised by staying on the overflow for the entire event with Jormag .

Some of the comments from the people playing were ‘wow—I can actually see him; look at the claws; I can see all the effects; this is awesome!!’ and on and on. When the chest fell, comments like I never get this much stuff and other similar comments about the loot. During the battle when ever the cue message came up—I didn’t choose to leave the overflow.
So the bottom line —we did the event, we had a better experience, no lag, we could actually see what was going on and,,,,,, the chest dropped we got better/more loot on the overflow claw of jormag event!!!!
I’ll have to check out the others when the next rare ‘in my experience’ overflow happens.
BTW I always play during what I consider the peek times for my time zone."
So maybe next time stay in the event if it starts up——don’t leave!

I have seen rares that have better stats than exotics. I have also seen lvl 76-78 that are much better and cheaper but the downside is you can’t put a lvl 80 jewel or what ever into the slots.
So it’s a matter of choice after comparing them side byside.

Actually, I do like doing world-boss events, but they’re being spoiled by the problems that have been detailed in this post, most of them occurring when too many players attend the event.
I’m curious where you’re “nerfing it for the people that like it isn’t the answer” philosophy was when my enjoyment of these events was nerfed by introducing the recent loot changes – which in turn ruined my enjoyment by attracting more bodies to these events? Because I liked these events, pre-patch, a lot more than I like them now.
Sure, there were still problems before the loot change, but they’ve only been made worse by improving the loot on the proverbial lures.

It was fine, as long as it was your way and there was no one else (or very few) in your fav event! Do something different. I am sure with a game of this size you can find something to do where others don’t wreck the experience for you.
Despite attempting to appear to, you completely avoided addressing my point, which I guess in a way is an answer in of itself.
To elaborate, you’re pointing at a potential solution I outlined and telling me “nerfing it for the people that like it isn’t the answer”. At the same time, you’re fine that it was nerfed to appeal a different crowd, even at the cost of another crowd.
You seem to want to have it both ways.
The game changed, it wasn’t nerfed . Now you can’t accept the change, so it must be changed back to suit your individual interests and style of play. There are other aspects of this game/game play that have been changed that I don’t care for but the bottom line is it is what it is. Accept them, move on, play other areas that let you have the challenging experience you desire. Do some champs alone.
So you want an answer— yes, all boss events should drop loot, always.
If a large group of people show up amd interfer with your preferred syle of gameplay, I guess you can play or walk away from the event. After all having lots of people play an event in a, what do you call it?, oh yeah, an MMO, must be wrong.

When are the next 2 lost items going to added?
Have done everything and 100% in the other parts of the living story, but the items achievement tells me to find two more—but they aren’t in the game yet.
Still only four??? I have everything done except the last 2 items. It says 6 need to be gathered for the achievement. When are they going to be added to the game?

As for overflow, has happened to me only once, so I don’t think it as big a problem as people make it out to be. Maybe its’ just the server I am on.

I saw this quite a lot over the last few days. I close the TP and try again, sometimes more than once, and sometimes it just slow to load the items.
