why after a knockdown are all your skills put on a 5 second cooldown? not to mention the fact youre planted face first on the ground and cant move for those 5 seconds either….

80% condition duration and my fear only lasts around 2 seconds ( the thief fear steal is stronger..go figure) and youre able to use skills as soon as youre out of it. shouldnt knockdowns only last at most 2 seconds?

Might be a little off topic, but still puzzles me that thief and warrior can fear much longer time than even traited necromancer. Necromancer do have master trait to cause damage on fear, but still seems strange that necromancer fears are shorter than thief and warrior fear.

As for knockdowns, they seem fine at the moment and there is counter for it.

Agree. Would be fun to use Fast-Cast Ground Targeting, but now would just throw AoE wherever. Picking pointer color and size would be great.

Flipping objectives is more productive in the way of getting shinies (drops, WXP and now materials). You don’t have to roam with zerg at all, I rarely do because of skill lag. It would be fun if objectives actually meant something, but current format it is all about flipping objectives.

Very true bogey, but in that screenshot’s case the warrior is using signet of might and possibly other small-scale suited skills/traits :p I’ve also seen it commonly combined with mace/shield which doesn’t seem that great for zergs.

Mace + shield, single target stun lock for Hundred Blades. Easy just switch weapons for zerg “build”. I rather have problem that warriors have too many “good” weapon sets to choose from.

Signet of healing gives him 400hp per second, the trait dogged march gives 33% reduction on cripple chill and immobilize (and the warriors I’ve met seemed to be immune to immobilize) and kiting is not an issue when your greatsword 5th is better then ride the lightning.

Very strong build in smallscale but sucks big time in zergs.

On top of that for example I use Rune of Melandru (-15% condition/stun duranation) and Lemongrass Poultry Soup (-40% condition duranation) on warrior. Switch to hammer in zerg and it is golden.

I see a lot of our pugs dying from a single arrow cart (even lvl 80), when they are like 10-15+ stacked on a gate with a single guy in defense on an arrow cart …
That’s the kind of rally bots who are better dead at the start of a fight, because if they last longer or come late in the fight, they will rally more peole later.
Even when they miraculously manage to get a little better and become average, we still get more new guys that have to learn the hard way and make it a lot harder for people who have a working brain with 2 hands.

Actually Wemil is sort of right, SFR pugs are not bad at all. I don’t think most wander in bad gear either. There are plenty of good roamers in SFR too. Then there are those gank guilds that chase single roamers, but I guess those are in every server. Not that there is anything wrong with it – I say go for it.

Not too keen on buffs, especially stomp buffs. We already have so many buffs (applied fortitude, guard leech, sigils) that promote running from fight if odds look even slightly bad. I guess it is PTV thief time then.

No. As you can see that I have no problem with blobbing (or in your case calling for support) since every server does it.

I don’t think there is difference in skill level for higher and lower ranked servers. Sometimes feel like it is hard to find single roamers in higher ranked servers, there are more gank squads that target single roamers. Then again there are probably more soft targets, that are geared and traited for zerg play in higher ranked server, which would give impression (videos etc.) that higher ranked server has more skilled roamers.

Most of the time it not so hard to figure out who is who in roaming and you can always /invite party. Not all people accept party invites though.

I like current match-up system better than stagnant match-ups (tiers/longer match-ups).

It’s just kinda disappointing. I’ve hear several Piken players say how ‘not fun’ this match is and judging by our numbers, many have gone off to play with the new PvE content instead.

It’s a stark contrast with the match last week with Desolation, where we also got trashed but at least you felt it was a fair win. They fought well and decently.

I am having fun all alone in Eternal Battleground. No need to run a long way to get some fights. I do see your point though, it can be frustrating to play when ganked by superior force at your doorstep.

Even to the extent of our keep (and presumably Elona’s) being fully upgraded to T3, complete with waypoint.

I just wish Desolation and Abbadon’s Mouth had more roamers. They always seem to be traveling in packs of at least 2 or 3. And whenever I do encounter a single player running around.. They either run off as soon as they find themselves getting slaughtered, or out of nowhere an ally or two appear to lend aid.

I encountered same problem, not that I strictly roam all the time. Might be my bad luck but I only encountered one Desolation roamer (norn ranger with [CS] tag, maybe?), but then was on my up-leveled elementalist and he didn’t even 1v1 me – take it was because I was on up-level character, he did 1v1 level 80s. Lots of thief duo/trio on Desolation though, more roamers on Abbadon’s Mouth. Had some fun fights with thieves and bunker engineers (very long fights with those).

Had some pretty fun fights while roaming tonight. Made a little video out of a few of them too.

First video that I watched fully. I can’t believe I forgot main hand mace in roaming for so long. Used not so optimal mace+axe and sword+shield a long time ago, now tweaked a little and after seeing your video went mace+sword and sword+shield. Worked great against thieves -torment, bleed, block, block, block, daze, stun, stun. Still working on greatsword, have to get more practice.
