The only thing I’m fully expecting (along with dual swords of course) is an upkeep skill that makes your attacks hit twice. Possibly reducing your overall damage while it’s turned on so they don’t have to make the baseline damage incredibly low to compensate for the double damage.

Revenant and Weapon Swap + Energy Regen

in Revenant

Bovan.9481

I really don’t see the issue.

Let’s say Shiro becomes a melee based legendary that favors using two swords and you build yourself as a melee DPS character. You are still able to deal damage with said swords when you switch to a different legend. Jalis actually has some quite high AoE damage with Vengeful Hammers to boot. If you happen to use Mallyx instead, you have the option to give yourself resistance to negate incoming weakness for example and are able to deal full normal melee damage. Embrace the Darkness even gives you 10% to all stats. This includes power, precision and ferocity. Weapons aren’t tied to legends.

I can see people having issues with not being able to melee and swapping to a ranged option mid-combat but I think this is just part of the class. Giving Revenants the ability to weapon swap would make it one clunky mess. More than it currently is with the slow animation on legend swapping.

tl;dr
The utilities of legends are just that, utilities. You can use them just fine no matter what weapon you use. They aren’t rotational abilities you are forced to use with your equipped weapons.

(Again, I will be keeping stuff from previous betas to a minimum)

Jalis and Mallyx

Forced Engagement’s energy cost still seems too high even for PvP. Rite of the Great Dwarf’s channel time seems a bit on the long side even for how powerful the ability is. Can’t it be toned down and increased in energy instead? It was difficult to empower Mallyx’s abilities without outside ’’help’’ and for PvP it was rare to be in a situation where I didn’t have 3+ conditions on me. The self cripple from Unyielding Anguish lasts a bit too long in my opinion. Banish Enchantment feels too powerful in PvP, I could melt Elementalists and Guardians by just spamming this skill. Pain Absorbtion’s energy cost really is way too high. In neither PvP or PvE I could use this effectively because it was more effective to use my energy for other things. Embrace the Darkness only transfers every condition over to your foes with 1 stack. Vengeful Hammers keeps turning itself off when they hit a wall. The healing from Empowering Misery seems off. Would still like to see the base heal become a little higher with the healing per condition on you lowered.

Corruption and Retribution

Now burning stacks Diabolic Inferno seems a little underwhelming. Retaliatory Evasion is quite underwhelming. I know retaliation does more stuff in different traits, but the duration is so low to make use of it. Reflexive Summon’s hammer seems to apply weakness and isn’t mentioned on the tooltip. Steadfast Rejuvenation’s chance to trigger seems arbitrary. The healing and internal cooldown really aren’t that strong that it would require a chance to trigger.

Mace, Axe and Hammer

Searing Fissure’s cast time still feels too long and it’s not fun to deal with. Echoing Eruption’s blasts could be closer together to be able to land more blasts in a smaller area, and I dislike the leap when you don’t have a target. Give me the option to blasts fields outside of combat without being on a target without having to walk backwards first. The blasts vanishing when they hit an object doesn’t feel great either. Axe is fine as it is. Hammer’s auto-attack still feels too slow. I still think it’s a problem that Phase Smash doesn’t make you invulnerable during the animation. I’ve had moments where I was attacking some hard-hitting melee mobs, used phase Smash from a distance and they would hit or even kill me during the animation because I ’’leaped’’ into their face.

Invocation

Cruel Reprecussion is still a little unclear. I understand that Fiece Infussion needs an internal cooldown because of Ventari’s heal, but it seems a little arbitrary as well. Can’t it be removed and instead only trigger every 20 seconds when channeling Ventari?

All in all I haven’t lost any excitement for the class and seeing the direction it’s going with Ventari and Staff I’m still immensely looking forward to playing it. I’m not sure what the tone of my post will be since I’ve written it over several days in different moods and playing/testing different things, but I hope it doesn’t look negative because that wasn’t what I was going for. I’m also aware it’s a giant wall of text and it’ll probably get skipped over anyway, but better to be thorough instead of not providing enough information. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to see Shiro the next legend!

Ventari

Ventari has to be one of the most unique things I’ve ever played in this entire game. I feared the tablet’s mechanics would be clunky as all hell, but it wasn’t bad at all. The thing that worried me the most was moving the tablet over and through terrain and it getting stuck behind every little pebble in the 9000 yards around you. I was pleasantly surprised seeing it float and move through and over gaps, ledges and terrain. There are a few minor things I would like to see changed to make gameplay a lot smoother and more fun to play. The first one is a little minor, the cast time on moving the tablet feels too long. Because the amount of healing Ventari’s Will does and because you have to drag the tablet with you every time you move it felt a little clunky having to constantly stop all my attacks and animations to cast the skill. I reckon instant activation without a cast time would be too strong in PvP but the half a second cast time it has now just makes the legend itself feel slow. Minor complaint but Ventari grunting when you move the tablet seems to happen a bit too often. After playing with Ventari for a long period of time I started getting really annoyed by it. Natural Harmony is a really cool idea that fits the legend, but to me it seems like you guys went half-way with it. In my opinion (purely an opinion) it should either be instantly activate or the delay should be upped to 3 seconds. 2 seconds was enough time to trigger it and move the tablet to make it go off in a different area but it’s close and it would sometimes go off before reaching my desired destination. Now here is a big complaint I have with the legend. Please, for the love of Colin, allow us to activate Protective Solace before we go in combat without being forced to either attack something or spend energy beforehand. I want to cast the dome and move it into position with the dome active. This works, but I’ve had moments where I wanted to block a projectile but couldn’t trigger the dome because it was greyed out due to not being in combat and at exactly 50 energy. I get it, you don’t want Revenants walking around towns with Embrace the Darkness or Vengefull Hammers active. For thoe two it’s fine, but please reconsider Protective Solace as it makes gameplay very frustrating. As for Energy Expulsion… eh. I’ve barely used the skill. The cast time is too long, it removes the tablet, I didn’t really need the knockback and the healing fragments I didn’t rely on. Not sure what else to say about it, I just used it so little that can’t give my feedback on it.

Salvation

Didn’t play too much with the traitline but everything seems quite solid for what the traitline is about. Just have a few small things I would share my thoughts on. For the first minor Disarming Riposte, the internal cooldown seems way too long. This is difficult to use to good effect in PvP and too unreliable in PvE for it’s cooldown (as in you would often double-up with a reliable blind meaning you waste the proc). The internal cooldown could be lower a little making it just a nice free extra blind every so often instead of a once in a blue moon, unreliable proc. Blinding Truths was said in a livestream to be replaced with something else. This is a big shame to me, because this is actually a trait I really like. Reliable blinds are fantastic to have. Tranquil Benedition is a trait I actually like. I just don’t get why the regeneration is on there since we can already trait for regeneration in a different tier. Would protection be too strong? I don’t know what other boon to suggest. I would love to see protection instead because that would be unique to the legend, traitline and even class and possibly worth speccing into the line for times where you want some damage mitigation.

Staff

Surprisingly I don’t have much to say about this weapon. Love that you have a block, you can apply weakness and blinds, Surge of the Mists feels good to use. Like the weapon. Damage is on the low side as mentioned before but I suppose the weapon is build that way. Two issues I have is that Debilitating Slam can be a little annoying to trigger. And more importantly, I wish Renewing Wave was a blast finisher. How cool would it be to make Energy Expulsion a water field, and blasting it for area healing with Renewing Wave? Or even just blasting the field of a different ally? For a support based weapon somewhat build for a support based legend it doesn’t feel like it has much play for teamwork and working with allies.

So I couldn’t find a nice, big central topic for all the feedback so I’m just going to go ahead and make a new topic for my feedback specifically. Before I do so I want to give a small disclaimer. I am fully aware the class isn’t finished yet, bugs need fixing and that a lot of stuff needs to be optimized still. Despite being aware of it I will be giving feedback as if the class is at least mostly finished. The argument ‘’the next legend will fix it’’ or ‘’you cant say that because it’s not finished yet’’ many people give regarding to feedback and critique needs to end at some point. I also feel the sooner issues are pointed out the sooner positive changes can be made.

That aside I’ve already given feedback on Jalis, Mallyx, Mace, Axe and Hammer related things from a previous beta test before and I will be keeping points regarding those things to a minimum. The last time I got to test those things we were in the new HoT map in full celestial gear so I will only be discussing how it looks right now in new gear sets and current maps. I would also like to point out that this will be mostly from a instanced PvE perspective (dungeons/fractals) unless specifically mentioned otherwise.

First off the more general feel and state of the class. At the moment it feels like the Revenant has rather low direct damage and no unique group utility, buffs or support. It does however bring a very large amount of different things. Spammable debuffs like weakness, projectile absorption, blinds, group healing, group condition cleansing, defiance removal and crowd control and so forth. Unfortunately it doesn’t really excel in one point with the exception of maybe group healing which currently serves little purpose. This is both a blessing and a curse as it makes it so Revenants are able to fill all kinds of roles and are very flexible, but also means people would rather look or use a class that excels in whatever they need at that point. As it stands I would rather take a Guardian or Mesmer if projectiles are a problem, not a Revenant. Or a Thief if blinds are desired, not a Revenant. Even a Necromancer if debuffing or boon stripping is important, not a Revenant. This isn’t much of a problem but worth pointing out anyway.

Damage however is where it becomes an issue. It pains me to say this, but in our guild’s dungeon runs last night I finished 3 paths in Caudecus manor and half a path in Crucible of Eternity before logging off to a different class. I felt I wasn’t contributing enough with the utility or the damage and felt like a liability to the group. The moment I logged a different class (one that isn’t exactly know for high damage either) we’ve instantly saw a swing in effectiveness. What I played was a full berserker build (not counting gems because we couldn’t switch out the celestial gems) with a Mace/Axe and Staff combo. I’m aware the first set is a condition damage weapon set and the other is more support oriented, but I had little choice because I was testing the class in a berserker/power based environment. In this environment the class was lacking to say the least. In the open world it wasn’t all that bad with 25 bloodlust stacks but it is still below anything I could have done on one of my other 8 classes. This could of course be related to the class being new and me not understanding the class well enough but as someone who actively plays every class in the game I like to believe I’m able to adapt relatively quickly to new things.

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Bovan.9481

Bovan.9481

Because there are so many questions about the Wolf fear and Taunt, I decided to log my Ranger and test it. The Taunt goes off instantly while the fear has a somewhat long cast time. What happens is the target gets taunted first, attacking the pet. Then the cast time finishes and the fear goes off.

Quite an interesting and fun reaction and this will make sure your AoE fear goes off because the taunt is instant. Unfortunately the long cooldown on the fear makes this very gimmicky.

Skale Venom procs on player.

I often use Skale Venom in high level fractals and it’s always done a fantastic job. Untill after the patch I switched to a Ranger and started noticing something strange. My axe offhand attack Path of Scars didn’t apply Skale Venom, and in fact applied it to myself on the way back instead.

I’ve been able to replicate this both in combat and even in towns. I’m not sure if this is a new bug or if it’s been there for a long time but this is the first time I’ve seen it. Normally I would post this in a class-specific Ranger topic but I have the weird feeling this might happen on other similar attacks of other classes as well. Quickly tested a Warrior with Bladetrail but that one seems perfectly fine.

rather have clarions bond every two pet swaps that way i know which pet will be out when the blast happens.

I fail to see how getting it once every other pet swap is positive in any way compared to every pet swap. You could get the effect every pet swap, and in turn get it on the pet you want it on in addition to your less desirable pet.

It’s just clunky and it’s current form and it makes Remorseless trigger less, which in my opinion was the fun and gameplay changing build I’ve always wanted.

That also means you started to play a build you didn’t want.
The 30 sec. CD part of the trait was designed ever since implemented. If they change it – I’ll be glad. If they don’t – I wouldn’t mind.

I expected it to work that way regardless. I found it way too exploitable with 15 sec CD. It basically said “F@#k you” to Warhorn. If you use the trait and warhorn – you now get 100% uptime and both blasts.

If you want to address something – address Call of the Wild. Not Clarion Bond.
I find it strange that people want adept trait to be 200% of a Weapon’s Ability.

Totally agree, but this is also why I suggested to reduce the duration of the buffs from Clarion Bond. It’s difficult to find a correct balance between both issues.

Out of curiosity, would anyone be really opposed to Clarion Bond not casting the Warhorn skill anymore but instead just giving a couple of different buffs for a few seconds? Or what about some stat increases like 100 power and 10 seconds of fury?

Honestly guys, 50% uptime on group fury and swiftness from one minor trait really isn’t bad. In that sense I think the 30 second cooldown is fine. It’s just clunky getting it on every other pet swap instead of just every pet swap. I wouldn’t even mind if they reduce the cooldown to 15 seconds and the duration to 10 seconds instead.

But saying the trait right now is useless and will never be used again is a little over the top.

It needed to be fixed and I’m glad it has been, no matter how funny the non-stop blasting bug was. But I would highly encourage taking a second look at the trait and at least make it on par with the pet swapping cooldown when traited for Beastmastery. It kind of takes a lot of fun away from the entire Remorseless based build if you can only trigger it once every 30 seconds. I know we have more things to trigger it but it would be so much nicer being able to force a trigger on pet swap instead of the RNG random proc chances.

in Ranger

Posted by: Bovan.9481

Bovan.9481

I don’t see how my comment could have been considered an attack. Anyway more to the point, things go down before conditions are able to deal enough damage to surpass a power based build like Tragic Positive already explained.

Now if this was regarding soloing or open world I wouldn’t have said anything. The post annoyed me because the topic creator specifically mentioned a PvE meta which to me is quite clear means dungeons or fractals. If it was for open world, I think the wording could have been different since just about anything works in the open world.

It’s just the last sentence that annoyed me really. It’s more or less implying that whoever isn’t playing the same or same sort of build as the person I responded to is incompetent. I would never claim to be a high end speedrunner or anything of the sorts. But I have the feeling Rangers from the top guilds who are speedrunning and spending hours and hours of perfecting their character and strategies are using a power based build for a good reason.

Another issue is that we only have 2 power based stat combinations at the moment. We have berserker and assassins. Even when a class breaks the mold by eliminating one stat, we don’t really have a solid different stat combination to pick. Sinister is a good step in the right direction, but for that to be a really strong choice we would need a class that has ferocity build in or a class that has so much condition damage that it overwhelms the ferocity. Possibly Engineer could take that role after a couple of changes and the new specialization but I’m not going to hold my breath for that.

On that note I’ve slightly changed my stance since my first post here. Even if precision is completely eliminated as a strong stat for Revenants, I actually don’t know what gear to use. Might as well just stick with berserker untill we see something new.

EDIT:

It´s an increase OF 50%, so 0,5×20=30%, not TO 50%. That would be broken as kitten.

Meanwhile, in-game, when putting the trait on and gaining fury, our crit chance was increased by 50%.
I was in the last stress test and I have tested this first hand.

But I have the feeling you won’t be the last person to ’’correct’’ me so I’m going to stop repeating myself from here on.

It’s +50% effectiveness for fury, meaning 20% * 1.5 = 30% crit chance from it, not 50%.

I’m not pulling these numbers from my imagination, I was in the last beta and specifically checked. 40% without fury, 90% with fury.

Here I’ll give you a bonus. This mob was using an attack that looked almost identical to the sword attack Rytlock did in the trailer where he jumped from target to target. Bear in mind the attack is extremely quick and taking a screenshot was very difficult. This was the best I could do in the little time I had. Not to burst your bubble, but I’m not expecting berserker to be the meta stat set for Revenant. In the beta with fury and the trait that increased fury’s effectiveness to 50% we were hitting 90% crit chance in celestial gear and no precision from runes or sigils. If this stays we might want to look into a different statset with power, ferocity and something else. Or maybe we only use a few berserker items instead of full berserker.

For a more direct answer, don’t make anything untill we see the whole package and more importantly all weapons. Sword/Sword is starting to shape up quite well.

(And yes, I said Sword/Sword and not Sword/Dagger)

Unless they’ve changed it, the fury trait increases its effectiveness by 50%. If fury gave you 50% crit chance that’s an increase of 150%.

Well this is how it worked in the last stress test. 40% crit chance without fury, 90% with fury when we had the trait. Maybe it was a UI bug or error but it definitely didn’t seem like it when I was actually attacking things. But to be fair I wasn’t actually keeping count and doing proper testing on this thing.

My first reaction was that it would be too powerful, but then again people are theorycrafting that Reaper can hit 100% crit chance without precision whatsoever. (I haven’t been keeping track of Reapers past the PoI episode, not sure if this is correct or not).

But beta is beta of course.

I think mine is more grey though, than olive, with the HoT logo in the back.

Wish I had the chance to go there. I would actually kill a person to get one of those shirts.

Shiro Tagachi is a confirmed Legend that we are getting, along with Ventari and Glint.

It always surprises me how quickly things are suddenly ’’confirmed’’ after people look into the data files.

Bovan — I feel sure that all newsletter subscribers, whether they signed up 4 months ago or 4 hours ago, will have an equal change of being selected. This is because the selections will be made, randomly, from the newsletter subscription list at the time of the selecting. Hope that sets your mind at rest!

Definitely, thanks a lot for your reply. Looking forward to the next beta!

I have a small slightly silly question.

I’ve signed up to the newsletter the very first chance I got, but I realized about 3 days ago I signed up with a different email from my Guild Wars 2 account. Although I corrected my mistake now and signed up with my Guild Wars 2’s account email does this mean I have a lower chance to get into future betas? More or less wondering if signing up late has an impact on the people who get chosen.

Because leaving them there to be discovered after release would be polite?

I have the feeling not everyone is getting my point. In the stress test there was an area very specifically cut off with borders which wouldn’t be there after release. People looked for ways to break out of the map just to see those specific areas.

https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/186317/gw011-013composite.jpg

Anyway I’m going to drop it here. This doesn’t seem to be all too constructive.

More or less talking about some of the… let’s call them sneak peaks we had from the Verdant Brink stress test. People broken through the restricted areas for the sole purpose of seeing the area. That is what I would consider rude.

By all means if the map is considered finished it would be a different story.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel trying to break out of a map into areas you shouldn’t be in in a beta is rather rude. Finding bugs is one thing but going through areas they are still working on isn’t really polite. By all means though if the map is fully finished it would be a different story.

I’ll be giving feedback on everything (although mainly the Revenant) just like when I was in the stress test.

P/P thief hard nerf?

in Thief

Bovan.9481

Is P/P really a thing?

Anyway that’s a bit of a close minded way to look at things. You have additional traits now and several other traits opened up which look very promising. The lost damage can easily be made up somewhere else.

Ricochet and Invigorating Precision in the same tier sucks, but I’m not expecting Invigorating Precision to stay as it is. It’s extremely powerful for PvE but we were never able to take it because it competed with Executioner. In the new lines we can freely take it at no damage loss which is just insane.

EDIT:
Oh one thing I forgot to mention. I’m immensely looking forward to trying a P/P condi build with Pressure Striking and Trappers Respite.

Like I said in a different topic last week as well, I actually use Battle Roar and Hidden Pistol. Battle Roar is a free might and fury buff whenever I play a class with a free utility slot who can’t buff it normally, and Hidden Pistol is an evade on a 15 second cooldown which I tend to use in some fractals or freak situations. Granted neither of them are used all that much but I can easily name 10 other utilities I used less or never used at all aside from testing it out.

I would be quite devastated if they were to be removed. I’ll get over it, but I’d definitely have to spend a day complaining about it.

Bovan.9481

Yeah! At least we can see different types of zerker, this 6/6/x/x/x crap was long overdue. +1 Anet

It’s not going to change, now you will be fully locked into the trait lines which give the most damage multipliers. You will be fully locked into 3 trait lines instead of being able to deviate a little and go 4/6/0/2/2 for example. Now if you need a certain minor trait for something, you either can’t pick it because you have to give up too much from a different trait line or get a flat out worse set of traits just to get that minor thing.

I’ll wait till I see everything before judging, but I’m a little worried to say the least. I can see the good sides though, and it’s good that some of the current issues are getting fixed.

EDIT:
On a different note and this needs to be said, thank you so much for showing something we can at least somewhat work with arenanet. I’m genuinely happy we get to see some updates of the actual game instead of just cosmetic stuff or recaps of things we already know.

I’m already annoyed I have to do map completion on several characters I don’t want to play just to get new Gift of Exploration to make legendaries for my main character. I understand not everyone is in the position to make several legendaries so I’m not complaining about it, but please don’t force me yet again to play a new character I don’t even want to play in the first place just so I can enjoy the game or content on my main character.

Do Revenant have racial skills?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Bovan.9481

Bovan.9481

I’d say it is quite a loss. I frequently use Hidden Pistol and Battle Roar on some of my characters in some areas. Hidden Pistol made Lupicus a lot easier on my Necromancer and Battle Roar is just a flat free fury and might whenever I don’t have a use for a different utility. Granted it’s not like the class will be unplayable without, but I would like to have an extra evade or might/fury generator instead of for example Banish Enchantment on mobs which don’t apply boons.

Revenant weapon skills

Bovan.9481

So it seems that leaked skills on sword and dagger was modified if we use the code ingame now.

Sword:
[&B9JsAAA=][&B/dsAAA=][&ByduAAA=]
[&B9RoAAA=]
[&B0toAAA=]

Dagger;
[&BxFvAAA=] – doesnt work anymore
[&B5tvAAA=]
[&B8JpAAA=]

Sword became 100% power weapon with projectile deflection on 2cd! Number 3 still has 15cd but now it also have listened number of hits (7) which fits what we have seen in the trailer.

Dagger became a cc weapon with knockdown and 600 range pull

Staff and shield remain the same

First time I’m seeing these so I’m a little cautious, but I sincerely hope these are correct. Sword and dagger actually seem like really cool weapons if that’s the case. Looking forward to seeing the final versions.

Bovan.9481

Your first question is really hard to answer without context. Before I will say anything at all, I’d quickly want to point out that I have never been asked to return gold or been in a position where this came into play whatsoever.

I would return the gold if anything changed on my end, the server’s end or something that is unavoidable like a disconnect. I sell my service for gold and if I’m unable to sell the actual service I shouldn’t be allowed to take the gold. However if someone joins, pays, gets the service and then asks for a partial return because a cheaper path popped up or something like that I would not return it. But honestly I can’t think of many situations where a buyer would even have a reason to ask me to return the gold. And if they did, I likely would.

Lowering the price in the middle of selling the path is in my eyes unprofessional. I flat out don’t lower my price for any reason if I already have buyers in the group. What I would do when I feel my price became too high either because or low demand or cheaper paths popping up is closing the LFG and clearing the path with less people in my party. I’ve had several moments where I would solo path 2 and end up clearing it with just 1 buyer. I don’t make my buyers wait for longer than 3 minutes and I don’t suddenly change my prices.

For both buyers and sellers I would recommend having a strict set of rules and following them. One of my rules I that I want people to pay upfront with the clearly mentioned price before I clear the path as a (somewhat obvious) example. When someone joins my group and asks if he or she can pay afterwards or whispers for a discount I would say no, apologize and if they don’t leave by themselves right away politely ask them to free up the slot. Be clear about your business and communicate if something looks fishy.

Guardian or Revenant?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Bovan.9481

Bovan.9481

I’ve read your previous posts and I know how you feel about this, but the best advice I can give you is just starting a Guardian and playing it for a bit. There is nothing to lose and you can always start a Revenant when it’s released.

After looking at videos and reading up on the skills Guardian always seemed really boring to me. Then I started one in-game as a joke and ended up playing it exclusively for several months. You won’t know whether you’ll like it or not unless you try it.

Guardian or Revenant?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Bovan.9481

Bovan.9481

In it’s current state with Revenant being unfinished and not knowing the Guardian changes and specialization, Guardian still offers a lot more defensive utility and support. Revenants seem more like a dealing damage and supporting to sustain your own damage kind of thing. Revenants have some powerful and unique supportive quirks but it’s not the same class and one can’t replace the other. Guardian still seems much stronger in terms of defensive group support. However I’m expecting Revenants to be more offensive oriented once finished. Bit of a mix between Guardian and Warrior if anything, a little bit of both but not able to replace either.

Bovan.9481

I don’t consider longbow Rangers a threat on any class. Granted there are actual good longbow Rangers out there, but I barely encounter any Rangers who adapt and continue fighting when I move into melee range. They usually just curl up in fetal position, begin rocking back and forth and then start sobbing.

Revenant's Access to Healing

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Bovan.9481

Bovan.9481

You have permanent protection and loads of blocks. The healing from Revenants doesn’t seem all that strong currently even when using most of the traits. Guardians on the other hand don’t lose anything while keeping all the blocks and protection.

That’s an overstatement. Guardians can’t keep up protection indefinitely without auto-attacking with hammer, and even when it is applied it can be boon stripped leaving them without it for a long time. As a shout guardian I have more access to it than other types of guardians, but even then there’s significant cd’s on my skills. Blocks only stand out when well timed

We are probably talking about different content here. I’m talking purely from a PvE perspective. The place where protection really makes a big difference is fractals, and there you can definitely keep up protection infinitely.

Regardless my point still stands. Guardians have ways to mitigate damage through blocks and boons. Revenants only have some mediocre healing and they can apply a little weakness if they spam Inspiring Reinforcement. Revenants just happen to have several difference sources for passive, uncontrollable healing through traits.

Revenant Aquatic Weapon?

Bovan.9481

Nothing shows up when you hover over the slot. Only water weapon I got as a drop was a trident, and I wasn’t able to equip that.

The devs have really gotten a hang of how players think. I don’t think there is any way to determine what underwater weapon Revenants can use other than possibly going through the files manually. But I doubt our friend That_Shaman would have missed that.

On the same note, I got a sword and staff as well which were datamined as Revenant weapons. Couldn’t equip either of those.
