I’ve disconnected 4 times in 15 minutes in FA border just now. And everybody is lagging. What is going on?

I believe it is. If I am not traited for Signets I use Prayer on my Guardian. If you do the math, Prayer of Dwayna has more heals per second (heal divided by CD) than any other healing skill. Not enough people use it in my opinion.

@ OP- I’ve been following this precious thread for a while, and I’m going to reiterate and add a few things to what has already been said. I am going to assume this is not a troll thread. I also don’t want to be a “politician” so I am going to be plain.

1. Don’t go into a game expecting it to be the same as the others, with similar classes and skills. You are comparing GW2 to other MMOs. What you’re doing is the equivalent of going to a mountain resort during summer and getting mad because there is no snow.

2. Every profession in GW2 has an optimal build. It just so happens that Guardians are the most successful as “boon bots;” so be it. If you don’t like it, don’t play it. ANet does not need to change the profession. Most people enjoy it as is.

3. Warriors are meat shields. Guardians are not. You previously stated you run zerker with your warrior. If you want a meat shield, you are not running your warrior correctly. But then again, there is no trinity in this game. Warriors may simply be better meat shields than Guardians- that’s all I am saying.

3. As stated by Yamsandjams, it’s a name. Pretend Guardians are called “Hairdressers” if it makes you feel better. That way they are tankier than you would expect them to be.

4. The fact that you only run Fire attunement with your elementist because you want to do damage shows me you’re not a good player, and you are unable to adapt to your opponent. This is also confirmed by the fact that you don’t run d/d. I am not saying ele’s have to run d/d, but it’s a great build and every good elementist at least appreciates its effectiveness.

5. Based on your descriptions of Guardian skills and how they aid your group, I’m gonna go ahead and assume a) the people you play with suck or b) you’re not a great Guardian. So get better, learn, and understand how to play before calling for Guardians to be completely changed.

6. If all of the above fail, go back to playing Warhammer or WoW. ANet already got your $60 bucks, and nobody will care.

Wow. This guy must really not appreciate time, considering how much he had to spend to get all that gear.

1. We just rushed you keep (TC) yesterday for fun. We had a bunch of left over golems and though “hey, why not?” Obviously we knew we couldn’t keep it, so we were just getting that poi for those who needed it, and trolling you guys to get some angry nerds to rant in the forums

2. Don’t complain blame game mechanics for the golem rushes. We did not have 10+, we had 8 I believe. Also, don’t act like TC has never golem rushed our keep with 10 golems. It’s all in good fun.

3. Don’t generalize all FA because a few FA are camping JP. Saturday 5 DB got me in the puzzles, and there was a TC thief attacking ppl. But there was also a TC who was dancing with me near the chest. Point is, don’t generalize. Nobody likes ppl like that.

My advice is to just advance through the story line. Don’t worry about crafting until much later, you will not gain a lot from it (until later). And there is no need to grind at your level.

People need to learn the difference between spying and sabotaging.
Spying is fully allowed by the game, whilst sabotaging is not.

Of course we know the difference. But I, and I guarantee you I am not the only one, think that both saboteurs and spies should be reportable. Both are unfair to the other teams, and should be looked down upon, not accepted.

But heck, if the official word from ANET is that both are kosher, my loyalty is for sale guys. I need $$ for my legendary. Contact me in game. ; )

In our case I do not think it was a noob. They would not respond to pm’s, chat, map, teamspeak, or team chat. Also, after some of the golems were taken by random players, our commanders tried to place the golems out of sight. At least of one these saboteurs, whether a troll or a spy, kept searching the golems out and taking them.

So the question still remains, what do we report this as? Grand theft golem? I am really not sure. Its not botting, maybe scamming? Furthermore, there is no screenshot option, like when reporting a bug, when reporting a player (at least I don’t know about it). And I don’t believe “trolling” would be a viable option for reporting these people because it would be a slippery slope to get into.

And the same question goes for suspected spies, or people who admit they are spies. Unfortunately “eavesdropping” is not an option. Is it scamming?

So:
1. Add a screenshot option to the report function
2. Add a “Suspected Espionage”, or something like it, in the report option

You’re right. I didn’t consider this, although I wouldn’t care if everybody knew who that guy was. But I fixed it. =)

So I have been reading on the forums about spies in WvW, and siege capping has been a hot topic recently. How do we report them? And will ANET do something about this, like banning for a period of time? Just a few minutes ago jerks decided to mess with us in FA and commit golemcide to several of our golems.

I am not accusing TC or KN (although its suspicious), and maybe FA has some ppl in your borders doing the same, but can we all stop and keep it clean? And if it’s happening here, I am sure it’s happening in other Tiers.

Attached is one of those guys, but there were a few others.

I posted the same questions a few weeks ago and basically got the following answer: Twilight and Sunrise are legendaries.

My questions though, is to Anet. Is the fact that they do not get recognized as a legendary by the game an error, or on purpose? And if it is a an error, will this be fixed anytime soon?

Its already been said by a few people, but I am going to repeat it. WvW is endgame. It is what keeps me motivated to come back to GW2 after I finished my second personal story. The only reason I play PvE is to get cool gear so I can eventually be that commander with T3 culture armor and Twilight throwing a spear on your face as you try to heal yourself while down after an awesome 3 way server fight for Garrison that we wont forget (great one last friday in T2 btw). I like the new ranks, I like the idea of expanding WvW into different maps or changing maps weekly, and I like the idea of better loot in WvW (maybe higher ranks get better loot to make it fair, like an investment similar to fractals).

So much potential in WvW, and it’s a shame more people don’t play it.

Incredible fights at KN’s garrison. Lots of fun! All 3 servers were in there for hours.

I particularly enjoyed the entire FA zerg /laughing at us while we were knocking down the last bit of the inner door (practically all the doors were open, and we were just opening another). Not very nice!

That door was quite strong! In fact, it was harder to take down than the wiping we gave your entire zerg the minute after we took it down. I estimate about a loot bag for each /laugh.

Going to be a fun week!

That was soo much fun. I was there for most of it. And after KN wiped out TC, we wiped KN and took lords room and garrison. Five minutes later, a massive TC zerg bulldozed through the gates. I was one of the only ones there to defend, I went down in 2 seconds. TC ended up with garrison, and FA kitten that we lost garrison. Still, great fight, and one I will remember for a long time.

And I have to give KN credit. They held out for as long as they could, but in the end it was 2 armies vs. 1.

You’re right. That was a mistake in my post. What I meant was, are Sunrise and Twilight legendary weapons equal to Eternity? If so, is the fact that they are not recognized as legendary by ANET in the character menu a bug, or by design?

I am surprised that ppl don’t like ranger, but like guardian so much. In small groups, I think rangers are really good. A good (bow) ranger knows how to maintain distance between his foe, and all the stuns are great against those guys that keep jumping around. Also good for defending position, towers, keeps.

Regarding guardian, I have had success in the past, but recently I’ve been struggling. Primarily because I’m in the front lines and as soon as a zerg (of equal or greater size) comes along players run back. I put faith that they will back me up, but I end up by myself being stunned x10 and overwhelmed while everybody runs away. I’m trying out new things and builds at the moment.

The last profession I have experience playing as is Elementist. They are good, but I have not played much WvW as ele compared to ranger and guardian, so I can’t add much to what has already been said.

But Mesmer- I still fear them because of this one guy. After my guild group of five took out 2 of the 3 opponents, this Mesmer was able to keep himself alive, and wiped out the five of us one by one(1 commander, 3 experienced players, 1 inexperienced wvw player). Mesmer definitely have the most potential.

While it’s ok to play human (my main is a human), don’t limit yourself. Playing only human is actually kinda lame.

Charrs are really funny, and they bicker at each other all the time. Asura are little jerks, and you just want to knee them in the teeth sometimes. Norns have great beards. And Sylvari are hippies.

Humans are actually the most boring. They are so generic. And Logan is kind of douchy. It’s a fantasy game, make a crazy looking character and go kill things. Don’t limit yourself to one race or you will miss out.

Opinion =/= fact. You may find humans boring and generic, but a lot of people feel otherwise. Humans in Guild Wars have a rich history and lots of lore, a multitude of different cultures, and in GW2, they occupy a similar thematic place that humans rarely do in other fantasy – an old, once-powerful culture now on the decline and struggling to survive. There’s a lot of depth below the surface for humans, particularly for GW1 veterans.

I personally find the Sylvari the least interesting race, and humans and charr are the most interesting to me because of their history, culture, and lore – but others feel differently, and if people love the Sylvari the most, it doesn’t bother me. If people find humans the most interesting and don’t care for the other races, why shouldn’t they roll all humans?

You make a fair point. And as a Guild Wars vet since release I appreciate the human lore. And humans as a bit generic in this game is my opinion.

However, my point is: to appreciate and understand the entire lore of Guild Wars 2 one should not limit themselves to only human characters.

Natural Selection. Then possibly sexual selection (bigger horns may be sexier).

Remember the Sylvari personal story? Right after you make a character you go into the dream. That dragon we fight look kinda like a jungle dragon, and Primordus. Maybe we already got a preview of the jungle dragon minions in that fight.

When I first noticed I thought maybe I was crazy and forgot that my toon only had one good eye. I’m glad to hear I am not crazy and this happened weeks/months after I created my character. I’ve gotten used to it, and actually like it now.
