Please post the videos Pyro, would be interesting to watch, @ OP, I think you set yourself up for failure from the start in your post, you came across very defensive, that sets you up for criticism from the start, having never read your Necro posts I can only comment on what I read here, I tried a mixed build myself at one stage, I felt weaker than either shatter or condition spec. Appreciate you sharing your build, if you believe in it, enjoy playing it, otherwise back to the drawing board.
Oh sorry, it probably sounded more harsh than intended. I was joking, yeah. And you’re right, we are perfectly beatable, even 1v1. Even the “dreaded” Phantasm Mesmer, and 1v1 she’s fighting on home turf.
It’s just that people rarely want to hear “You could…”, they want to win. Being killed = not winning, and if it happens a few times they take it to the forums because obviously it has to be something wrong with the game, not them.
Well said, they are low skill people who don’t want to learn and improve, looking for the easy option all the time.
TL;DR The equivalent of that for other classes would be:
Make all Pet summons in combat only.
Make all Elemental weapon/Kit Summons in combat Only.
Make Engineer Turret casts dodgeable,
Make Necromancer minion casts dodgeable.
Make Guardian Weapon Summon casts Dodgeable.
Make Ranger Pet summons and Spirit summons dodgeable

Trolls gunna troll, create a thread with catchy headline to hope Dev’s look, get some friends to come and make Mesmer is OP statements, yawn, while it wouldn’t surprise me if another nerf happened the reality is Mesmers are far from OP, and people need to L2P. I created a Thief to see what all the fuss was about, now that is OP, I work far less hard in WvW on my Guardian or PvE on my Warrior than my Mesmer, but I love the class, I was a Mesmer Player primarily in GW1 and was so excited when they made it to GW2, the constant nerfs have been annoying, but I love the class. Here’s to hoping the Dev’s realise after PAX that the minority whining community is wrong, and Mesmers are fine the way they are and even buff us a little.
Bah why spend the resources to make both when you can only wield one? Thats a lot of ecto and coin.
Because you use different builds, Spirit Links for Condition Mesmer, Anomoly for Shatter, former is Condition Based, latter is Berserker. Unless you wish to transmute one to match your build or you only play one build then why not.
Unless you want to Transmute them to the desired stats, Anomoly is berseker and Spirit Links is Condition based. If you can’t decide do what I did and just get both.

I always imagine my Mesmer is more like a Psiom from D&D 3.5 era, I would love to see:
The psicrystal:,has the special abilities of self-propulsion (can be sent out to conduct reconnaissance 2500 range, alertness (alerts master to stealthed enemy 600 range doesn’t show exact location just that someone is stealthed nearby), improved evasion (adds extra dodge ability while loctated within reach of player), share powers (can be made invisible through players skills).

PvE is easy solo, I ran a shatter build, IP & Decoy, Most equipped skills Blink, Signet of inspiration, Mass Invis, flexible last slot, Boon Duration Runes, Mix of Knight, Berserker & Valk armour, Staff, Sword, Focus, for WvW, I was part of a large Guild that would help take the whole map during Asian Prime, look for a server to Transfer to if you really get stuck for a week to fill in any missing points if its only 100% you want then it is easily achievable.
Wow, another week and another try from a person who can’t play calling for nerfs in something else, how predictable, OP, you have been answered by the community and you obviously have no clue, please go roll a Mesmer and try yourself, if that doesn’t work, I suggest listen to the advice you have been given, if that doesn’t work, maybe try work on your own play style. Next…
1. Fix Confusion so it is a viable alternative again, &
2. Make Signet of Inspiration’s passive be 25% increased movement speed.
After some mucking around I kept the same Traits & Skills, rune wise I ended up with 2 X Sup Water, 2 X Major Water & 2 X Sup Runes of Speed. I tried a variety of foods, using Choc Omnom Creams for 20% Boon Duration at the end. Play style was wierd as I have played a shatter Mesmer for so long and was used to Deceptive Evasion & Illusionary Persona, once I got past that I had great fun, both Solo and with Group. It is a refreshing change to Shatter, I am enjoying the new play style and using Torch. Thanks for the sharing the build.

Definitely going to give this a try, have you considered boon duration runes? My Rabid set is still sitting in storage after Confusion nerf, it has Superior Undead which I will replace, would like to hear your thoughts on same build but with boon duration to maintain more swiftness and benefits from PU. You miss the point, I don’t want to leave, I in the OP stated I was sorry to see [WvW] leave, the reasons they are leaving is because of some of the community, if the community was serious about ressurecting our WvW community we should not be making people leave, especially a guild that was a day one Kaineng guild. Anyway this seems to be going nowhere, you are entitled to your opinion good luck have fun, I hope Kaineng comes back.
Haha, fail, most of the skill left, and the departure of an original Kaineng Guild that was here from day dot because of the community shows where we are headed, after the 1st mass exodus no one stood up to fill the void, with [WvW] leaving it is going to become much worse. Please explain how we rebuild unless we get transfers back to Kaineng? Will they be described by you as the next band wagonning guilds? We don’t have the coverage and the only way it can be fixed is recruiting. I transferred here and stayed when [WM] left, by choice, maybe I made the wrong decision…
Sometimes it’s hard to see the forest for the trees… they didn’t bandwagon off, they were driven off, anyway you believe what you want.
Disagree, we are a pug server now, with little leadership and some gaping holes in our coverage, obviously opinions vary, I have nothing but respect for Areanas, Good Taiwan Man and the other Commanders from [WvW]. They have done a lot more for this server than the people who are driving them off.

Sad that my friends in [WvW] are leaving Kaineng, I understand your reasons and they are valid, you were great to run with, and the last of the top WvW guilds left on Kaineng in my opinion, you will be missed.
Where your computer reverts to a previous version, so it has restore points, I simply went back to the last version before the last Windows update, for whatever reason GW2 wouldn’t run with it installed. Just do a search on Google for more information.
Never mind I did a system restore and it works again, must have been something in the last Windows patch it didn’t like.
I logged in this afternoon and completed my daily, when I went to log back in tonight I get the message: “connection error(s) detected retrying”, I can log into Guild Wars 1 still, and have not changed any access on my firewall, I dont use AVG, my McAfee is up to date, I have tried a DNS flush any help would be great.
Stop and listen to yourself, I and many other players like Portal, and enjoy the tactics it allows, but because this isn’t the autocracy you would seem to want we should all agree with you? Arena Net designed a game and placed Portal in it, end of story, it’s already been nerfed, take your whining elsewhere, some people enjoy a game with diversity and the tactics skills like Portal offer in organised WvW, and SPvP.
Wow, I have to give props to the Mesmer haters, they still aren’t happy with recent nerfs so they find a new way to complain, get a life, portal is a skill made by the designers, if you don’t want to use it outside of what you perceive to be fair play, then guess what… Don’t use it, wow that’s a hard concept, if you feel disadvantaged then either grow up and use the skill, or surprise… Don’t use it and stop complaining. I swear their is a hidden forum where all Mesmer haters plot their next dastardly calls for nerfs, mostly filled with Thief players.
Yep, where’s the diversity, don’t get me wrong I enjoy shatter, but it was more fun to be able to have multiple builds to run pre confusion nerf, I know there are more builds but boon sharing I may as well play my guardian and have 100% retaliation up.
Nothing was more satisfying in GW1 than playing a Dom Mesmer in GvG or even HA, skills like Diversion & Shame were key to shutting people down, Power Block was devestating when used properly, interrupts like Power Drain were key to not only interrupt but return much needed energy to fuel your other expensive skills. I love my Mesmer in GW2, but it is an entirely different beast. I hope when the dust settles things like Confusion are re visited and buffed to allow more build diversity.
1st profession to max kills in WvW? Sacrx on Guardian, run with the Zerg, use P/V/T.

There are still quite a few ex [WM] on Kaineng, including one of the great commanders who chooses not to tag up anymore, not everyone left for BG, some still enjoy Kaineng community and are just happy to run with the Zerg till things reshape. I for one respect WvW especially Areanas, Silvermoon & Good Taiwan Man, hopefully they stick around as we reform as a server.
Not too many top servers are not just as guilty, people transfer it’s a game…
I do find it pretty ridiculous that commanders always expect to run PUG groups like their WvW guild.
Talk to people like crap, rage about things that were obviously going to happen (10 people chase after 1 enemy)
You’d think after it happened 20 times, it’s easier to let them have 10 seconds to down that thief they managed to un-stealth rather than rant about it constantly.
Also the amount of times a commander demands people stack on them and then run their 10 man pug in to the 50 man enemy zerg without any tactic bar “push” then whine and rage after the inevitable wipe and complain that no one listens lol.
also as an amusing aside – I love how there’s always a commander’s “sidekick” It always seems to be the same person. You can spot them from the following phrases;
“Stack on commander plz guys”
“Listen to commander!!!!!!”
and in the middle of running with 20+ people running behind them will randomly say in /s FOLLOW PLEASE like the large train of players was there by chance.

Lol, it’s world versus world, if you aren’t on maybe that means in our time zone you are the guys who should be staying up to play… Anyway moot point Kaineng has lost most of its heart for WvW and with some of the poor form shown by some guilds towards others I think more guilds will leave soon. Just my opinion.
Power Block, Psychic Instability & Blackout would be the three I would want most, I still log in occasionally and play my Mesmer, she was my main, both PvP & PvE, if GvG (same format as GW1) was bought to GW2 with the awesome graphics and dimensional play of GW2 and give me those skills back I would be a happy camper.
I think similarly to several other posters, people have come trying to whine to get Mesmers nerfed, now they are changing tact by pretending to be Mesmers and saying they feel OP in hopes of getting nerfs, this is just pathetic really.
