Actually bait and switch is a good term for it, you buy something in good faith based on what you see and then it gets changed after you paid the purchased price.
That’s exactly what I thought when I logged on and saw Flamekissed was available for roughly half the price (if you convert gold to gems) that I had paid for my T3.
Not so, seeing as what you purchased is not getting changed.
What you are stating is like something going on sale that you had purchased for a higher price.
It will be crap just to keep the T3 owners happy.

What if I HATE the new look of it? Will there be an option for a refund then, cuz it is a lot of gold/gems for something you don’t want and it would make me quite upset to be stuck with something I don’t want to use..We have the option of being refunded. Personally, if I don’t like it I’m asking for my actual money back, not just the gems. I wouldn’t have funded them if the armor hadn’t been there, and if they wouldn’t give me back my actual money then that would be a bait and switch, of sorts. I’m pretty grumpy.

No. This whole uproar about the skins is exactly because people were allowed to buy a reskin of a T3 cultural armor on the Gem Store. If those people could keep it simply because they bought it before ANet admitted the mistake and decided to fix, the problem would persist, since people would still have the amor that shouldnt have been sold on the first place.

Not happy, I like the look as is and considering I also re-skinned weapons to match after buying 3 x sets of the gem store skins (using cash not gold). The people who bough the current skins should be able to keep them as is and just reintroduce the new skins to the store when ready.
I brought from your store in good faith and now your taking what I purchased away, refund or not that is not right and is unlawful.

@Hilda, so you were trying to get a bell and ended up with a heap of minipets.
Why not put them in the Mystic Forge for random tradeable minipets which can be sold on the TP and you may get rare/exotic pets that you can sell if you do not want them?
And if they made them tradeable, guess what they won’t be special anymore.
The Mini Karka, Mini Karka Hatchling and Mini Reef Drake can drop from the mobs and therefore are still gettable. Where as Wintersday mini pets are not going to drop from mobs, but you can still get them from Wintersday gifts on the TP.
Maybe, they should make Ritlok (Digital Deluxe) and HOM pets (GW1) available for trade, I think not.
The main reason people want to make Special mini pets tradable is to make gold, not because they want/need the mini pets.
The thing is they are seasonal (special) mini pets, so why should someone that starts the game out of season and not have participated in the event be able to go buy any seasonal (special) mini pet from the TP?
If it’s really some of the 100’s of gold that you want to recoup, a tradeable vendor could also buy unwanted minis at a set price. But I don’t think you would recoup much:)
And Endless bells/Toymaker tonics are tradeable.
They didn’t make the mini pets tradeable for Halloween as they are account bound.
So which Wintersday mini pet do you not have?
Actually rather than make them tradeable on the TP so people cannot try making profits from them.
A better idea would be to have a vendor that could trade unwanted pets for the one you want and not necessarily at a 1:1 ratio.
Seeing as how you are saying you only want the pets you don’t have, then that would be a good compromise.
Well, I guess your stuck with them then as they most likely will not be made tradeable.
As with all lucky dips, spending 100’s of gold was your choice and I doubt you would see much of a return on that even if they were made tradeable as you really only need one of each for your whole account.

Ok, closed client and restarted, it sent an email which was received instantly and worked.
So it looks like the original authorisation email was not sent, is this a known problem/bug?
Went to play, waiting for authentication.
Says an email sent (hotmail) and been waiting 15 minutes for it.
Refreshing inbox and it is not in junk or anything else, doesn’t normaly take this long.
Is quitting client and redoing ok or will this bugger things up as original authentication not used?
You do realise that putting 4 x random pets (can all be the same kind) gives you a random normal/tradeable minipet.
I got a mini snow leopard (7g on TP) from 4 x snowman mini pets.
Considering the 2000+ dollars I have put through GW1 and GW2, I am not 100% convinced unfortunately, as it is affecting the legitimate players and not necissarily in a good way.

I brought a new account/game for my son to use while the Digital Deluxe edition was on special and now we are running in to all sorts of problems because of this, with sending/receiving mats/gold and using the/my guild bank.
If I had of known about this, I don’t think i would have brought the second account/game.
So it means that we have to wait 30 days to use the system properly?
P.S. So I fork out money for a game, which cannot be used to it’s full capacity.

Putting 4 random wintersday pets into the MF will give you any of the other non account bound pets in the game (random), I got a yellow pet worth 7g on TP from 4 x extra wintersday pets I had.
Yeah close range usage seems to be where it happens most, It seems to not recognise that you have targeted something close to you and instead jumps towards something a lot further away.
Or you completely jump over the targeted mob, completely missing and have to run back to mob.
Moan enough and Mesmer gets nerfed to beyond playable in PVE again.
There never seems to be changes that make it playable in all aspects of the game as it seems to always be one or the other.
It’s about time to start considering keeping PVE/WvW/sPvP seperate.

Is the skill Leap of Faith supposed to send you in the opposite direction of the target?
This seems to happen a lot and is annoying.
What is it with the skill Leap of Faith that a lot of the time when you have a target selected and you use Leap of Faith, the character will jump in the opposite direction to the target?
Is this a known problem/bug or intentional?
Love the game but to completely make a class unplayable is irresponsible.
Patches should be thoroughly tested before being released as every time there are patches to fix something, more and more bugs are being incorporated into the game and it’s getting a bit out of control.
Not being able to play a class because it’s too bugged is just not good enough sorry.
Why does it take 4 x Softwood logs to make a plank when everything else is 3 x logs?
When you go into the instances in Black Citadel to get the POI’s, you cannot leave unless you port to a WP (costs silver) or log out/in character.
The exit text/option does not appear near exits.
Works on Charr character as you get the (star/door icon) exit and text. But get none of those on my Norn character.

My opinion is one time event = one character per account and i’m sticking to it.
Parking characters at the chest just to open for loot without any real input from those characters in the event = wrong.
Also I think that if precursors were part of the loot, it should have been limited to one and not multiples like some people received and also trial accounts should not received them at all (my opinion).

To OP, it wasn’t a problem with Graphics (FPS) it was network lag causing skills to be unplayable.
There were even ANet employees playing (had the ANet symbol beside name) and they were also getting DC’d and skill lag.
The game engine/network/servers just cannot handle that many players and things going on in such a small area.
My nick download speed was max of 35kbps with upload around 6kbps which is nothing, but when you have 100’s/1000’s of people going at it all at once and all those kbps add up and Anets network/game engine just cannot handle it unforunately.

When it has been figured out how to reward disconnected players, will there be precursers available in the rewards?
RNG is pretty messed up when people were getting 2 x precursors and trial accounts also getting precursors.
Bugged Noll and Quaggon, couldnt finish event and when the patch came, couldnt finish Quaggon, she was discontinued.
Final event, got the karka down to 1/2 hp. Got disconnected.
Couldnt even get back into the event until it was over, so i got no loot or no idea what happens at the end.
BIGGEST waste of time and effort for nothing.
They need to treat this as a trial run, and prepare better for rerunning the event.
You got loot? Good on you for being one of the rare few who didnt have all these problems happen to you.
As for me and the thousands of other who got screwed over by this event, it would only be fair to get some sort of compensation.I doubt that the “rare few” got rewards. A huge number of people got rewards. I’m pretty certain the “rare few” were the ones who had problems with it. Maybe I’m wrong, but I haven’t seen any indication that thousands of people were screwed over by the event. Of course, we could find out, if they did the event again. I don’t think they will, though.

I really do not know why ANet are trying to do these huge events when their infrastructure cannot handle it.
It is really disapointing from a company/game that I like.
Love the game but they really need to work on these events if they want to have them.

On Tarnished coast, treb built and then it too like 5 min to finish killing the spawns then waited on boat for next 20 min for that part.
Just seemed a bit lacking compared to Phase 1.
Some indications on the map to where you have to go for Phase 2 would have been nice, Everyone is standing around wondering what the hell is going on.
We are waiting on a boat but nothing happening.
So what happened to Phase 2?
Nothing has happened in LA.
Doesn’t seem to be anywhere near as many people on Tarnished Coast server waiting for phase 2 of the event in LA as there was yesterday for phase 1.
So two hours to phase 2 of this spectacular one time world changing event and we cannot even complete phase 1, which I really hope is not going to affect anything in the next phase.
I also hope that with phase 2 were not just going to get more bugs stacked on the currect bugs. Seeing as we are allready going to be backpeddling to complete phase 1 after phase 2.
3 pieces of exotic give you 12 crates of comendations which when opened = 600 commendations.
No fix in 11 hours, may as well call it a night and hope it’s fixed by tomorrow.
Just hope that the delay in being able to do the chain events due to bugs doesn’t affect the outcome of anything with regards to the next stage tomorrow.
Canach is bugged on Tarnished coast so you cannot proceed any further.
Have we heard from Anet about fixes?

Failed event and now the NPC’s etc. for the even are bugging out.
Bit late to be working on it after the event is over.
If your doing these sorts of events at least consider making sure your network can handle it.
The escort quest Path to Arah, just got stuck on Tarnished Coast server.
Seems to happen a lot.
A fix would be nice.
You release new crafting mats but forgot to add new slots for them in bank crafting UI.
Would have thought they went hand in hand, instead of taking up normal bank slots.
