Any player expecting mass scale pvp to be anything other than a complete failure in any game ever should recognize it’s his own fault for having unrealistic expectations. I have been waiting 15 years. I am absolutely sure now beyond any doubt – it will never happen.
MrMagoo I disagree, wuvwuv is not failure.. there are just things that need fixing or tweaking but wuvwuv is INSANELY FUN and AMAZING

hoping ioj, CD, sos, etc all get the players they need (and et too) to make the top 2 brackets the best fighting, and not a lopsided fight when people decide not to queue anymore.
even on et side, i noticed a lot of guild tags that were absent for the whole last week, suddenly queueing up for the start of this match.. which is pretty sad… give up when theres no chance to win, then clog up the queues so the people who played all last week can’t get in for hours cause you didn’t want to play with us last week when we were losing.

resets often dictate how entire matches go.. the reset is probably the most important time for wuvwuv players
make it a Wednesday, not a Friday
make it equal footing, on a weeknight so people these matches would get better
Reset’s would not have the match-crushing impact they’d have now and you’d have the buildup to “the weekend” instead of heading into the weekend with the match pretty much decided

Sorry your server has NA players but they just simply get outplayed by the top servers. I’ve been playing IoJ all week on FA and even in NA primetime IoJ controls most of the map. Never once saw a shortage of IoJ players and it’s deffinately not dead.

Dragonbrand is the key
if DB attacks ET, it will be a semi decent match
if DB is non-existent and gets pushed off the map by ET, it’ll be 1on1 with IoJ and IoJ does not have the population to fight ET
the gap between 1900s 2-3-4 ranked server and the 1700s 5-6 servers is gigantic
but the secret is the 3rd server
if the 3rd server fights.. it’ll be semi-decent

Im not sure about others but im losing coins from playing WvW due to upgrading and buying blueprints. The coin rewards for doing events don’t seem high enough, what motive would I have into upgrading a keep when all ill do it lose 37 silvers and not get enough back although i play it a good few hours a day.
it’s the price we pay..
repairs drains my coin but mostly because i’d kamikaze in there with no fear of dying if it means downing an enemy siege

honestly speaking the only time mesmer portals get used is to
1. get to otherwise unjumpable spots to put sieges down
2. glitch the engine where you’re dead from invisible enemies
disable mesmer portals in wuvwuv until you fixed the invisible problem AN
I understand that WvW rank + abilities (%damage and whatsoever) are off the table and I think that’s a good decision.
The player skill based combat works quite ok. Good players are hard to beat, and some let’s say “not so good” players can come in groups of 2-3+ and you can still kill at least some of them, if not all. That’s how it should be.However why not offer at least some kind of progress?
There are SPVP rank titles, would it hurt to have something similar in WvW?
And give us maybe different tiers of armor skins and weapon that require a certain WvW rank. It won’t give you any benefits at all, but I think people would still welcome it.

but in all honesty the way ArenaNET messed up wuvwuv a huge aspect of their “End Game” tells me they cannot handle GW2 post-launch

If I understand the situation correctly, this should not be happening. Every world has the same population cap and outmanned only activates when your team has significantly less people on the map as another team, so you shouldn’t be getting the buff if your map is full.
What world and map are you on when this happens?

ie: you have a 300 man population cap for a borderland.. Queue IS FULL
Eredon Terace = 150 people got in
Isle of Janthir = 100 people got in
Sea of Sorrows = 50 people got in
and the solution to this is that the lesser population gets the “outmanned buff” ?! SO THAT IS HOW IT WORKS?! you guys didn’t set it so that it is equal cap on both sides?!
ie: 100 max per faction = 300 total population cap?!
please explain this because as the days go on I often wonder how the other teams have so many more players than us when the queue to our own borderlands is already full
this problem is most prevalent in borderlands and not in EB from what I have experienced
my goodness wuvwuv is all sorts of messed up
well in fairness it is a punk move by ET purposely blowing matches before the week long rotations begin to avoid HoD
it doesn’t amtter if you’re top 5 server or bottom 5 server, nobody likes to lose
and right now, HoD is King of wuvwuv
HoD is so good ET simply avoided facing them and being crushed for a week
I dunno about you guys but I feel ArenaNET, whoever is in charge of wuvwuv has simply dropped the ball

I remember when Crystal Desert beat IoJ three days in a row… but I think since the matchmaking was bugged back then, it didn’t count it.
Seems like a lot of CD’s wins were before they started counting…
I may not endorse IoJ, but they are excellent rivals. Keep at it, and we’ll see you next time (yes I know IoJ stomped us last time they faced us, not sure why, but I’ve heard of other servers using the fly-hacking, but I didn’t hear about it for anyone other than GoM).

truth be told the matchups you were talking about counted.. but it was weird because it wasn’t Janthir that made it lopsided CD wins.. it was Sanctum of Rall being bugged and unable to log in
it was during the login issues AN had so basically CD won 4 straight rotations because we simply didn’t have the manpower in wv3 and Rall was empty so you guys simply capped all they had
that being said.. Janthir has crushed CD every single time
something happened to that server.. I think you all lost a buncha people to be honest
I don’t ever look at CD and worry anymore.. it’s not a matchup at all Janthir’s international players simply dominate.. but yeah, if there’s any server out there that gets Janthir ready to fight it’s CD
