My suggestion to fix this issue would be to implement a party leader mechanism. The person who starts the party would be leader. I’ve listed below how I think it should work.
- the player that starts the party or created the lfg post is party leader
- party leader can pass on the leader role to any member in the party but then loses the role
- only party leader can request a kick that must be seconded but cannot be kicked himself
- only party leader can repost on lfg and remove, merge or disband the group.
- if party leader leaves the role is passed to a selected player or to the person who joined the party first. In my opinion this would solve all issues presented in this thread as well as kicks when the instance opener dcs or rage quits.
.. sounds good to me
Got a Fractal Dagger skin at level 19 (I think) yesterday. Thanks RNG!!
It seems to me that if I do three full Fractal runs per day, one each in the 1-10, 11-20, and 21-30 level ranges, I get pretty much the exact same set of dungeons in all three runs. I’ve definitely been fighting the same boss fight multiple times per day. YMMV
It will work on this build nicely: http://youtu.be/y_bIqwtB-fw
I think axe #1 and #2 needs aoe cleave.(120-180 radius). Single-targeted skills are the main problem of necro axe.
Skill #2 damage needs to be on par with warrior greatsword #2(Hundred blades). That would be a good reason to want some necros in your dungeon party. Currently only warriors are wanted.
Skill #3 needs a blast finisher and more base damage. This would help us to support our teammates(specially in wvw raids) while they are opening combo fields. Plus extra base damage is needed because we need to go into a zerg within melee range to use this skill as a class with no mobility and no stability. It has to worth that risk.
These would be good reasons to roll a power necro instead of a condition build for a wvw player.
^ this .. so my Asuran Mesmer will stop laughing at my Sylvari Necromancer.
Hi, I was in this group too. Maw bugged out. I submitted an in game bug report. Please fix.
So, I’m not able to reproduce this issue. My superior sigil of bloodlust seems to be working as expected. What other details about your issue can you provide?
I wonder what the hard cap on power is under those circumstances?
I hate this bug with a passion. The only consolation is that there’s another bug that allows you to go right back into DS with no CD if LF is allowed to deplete to zero. Ofc, you need to refill LF, but in a good sized zerg, LF refills almost before the crazy utilities lockout expires.
Yes, I’ve noticed this behavior as well.
Same here, completed 4 fractals plus the story mode, 5/11 in the Fractured! meta, no daily fractal runner credit.
Seems like a fair downside to those overpowered runes
+1
Nerf is coming for this rune..
People running it just keep ignoring its OP.. lol yeah 25 stacks of confusion in 2-3 sec every time.. thats balanced… lol
I’m sorry, but how does this rune set enable 25 stacks of confusion on a target in 2-3 sec?
I was NOT able to reproduce the issue you describe.
Please see http://youtu.be/Lm4M3wstA6k.
In this short screen recording, you can see some game play between my Mesmer and an Ice Drake. The Mesmer is a level 80 dire-stat condition-tank wearing 6 pieces of armor with Superior Runes of Perplexity. One of the listed effects of the 6th piece bonus is “Causes 10 seconds of Confusion on interrupt”. The screen recording shows a couple of attacks by the Ice Drake that score interrupts against the Mesmer while channeling a Mantra utility spell, as well as a couple of attacks by the Mesmer that score interrupts against the Ice Drake. The screen recording shows that the 6th piece bonus is only applying confusion on the enemy Ice Drake, as expected.
Thanks

I’m not a fan of it stacking the way it does now either. This is just from the pov of a casual pve player, but it’s a ridiculous player death indeed, when some veteran risen squire swims up, stacks a 20s immobilize, and steamrolls your dire-stat condition-tank lvl-80 mesmer.
I would like to see the issues with Temporal Curtain (TC) fixed first. I think the swiftness boon from TC should at least overwrite (since swiftness stacking is apparently too powerful) any existing swiftness boons of lesser duration, thereby guaranteeing the 12s swiftness you are entitled to. If TC was fixed then I think Signet of Inspiration would be less of an annoyance. Except for swiftness, and perhaps aegis, the other random out of combat boons do nothing for my build. That random swiftness boon is definitely a problem doing jumping puzzles. Overall, I’d say the out of combat passive effect is something of a troll by the game designer.
Posted this over two weeks ago, heard nothing from anyone.

Let me add some more details to this issue, because it’s also a problem with other condition removal related skills. In the attached SCREENSHOTS, you will see a series of images that show how Well Of Power is likewise bugged against the Burning Pitch condition. In the first figure, you see my character with the Burning Pitch DEBUFF immediately following the “Defeat the riot-instigating settler” event. Unfortunately, the screenshot doesn’t show the tooltip of the mouse over the DEBUFF icon, or you would see that the duration of this DEBUFF is outrageous, it was about a minute and a half long at this point. This is a life siphoning tank build, otherwise it’s a wonder this fight doesn’t kill me. Really ANET, a minute and a half of burning? Okay so, a Necromancer has great condition removal, let’s see, what’s that in slot A of my utilities bar? Look, that’s Well of Power, it says, “Target area pulses, converting conditions on allies into boons.” In the second figure, you can see that I’ve activated Well of Power and am standing in the well. Oh no! I’m still burning!! In the third and four figures, you can see that the well is ticking for 200 health on account of the Vampiric Rituals trait, and I’m also getting a tick for 40 health I believe on account of a Rejuvenation booster (sorry got carried away with the booster tonight). What is also clear is that Burning Pitch is still ticking for 644 damage when I should instead have a nice stack of Aegis. The boons I do have are Protection, on account of the Ritual of Protection trait, and Regeneration, on account of some Engineer’s AOE healing skill. Please address this issue, it’s not cool.
The burning condition from the Champion Settler Instigator in Southsun is bugged when applied to my my lvl 80 Sylvari Necromancer. This condition is not removed by the Consume Conditions skill as expected. It is not a case of this condition simply being immediately reapplied as evidenced by seeing the behavior after the champion is defeated and my character is standing clear of the battle. Please fix.
Hi everyone,
We understand the frustration about not having enough notice to claim the achievement. The original date given for the Epilogue was incorrect, and while we corrected date in forum posts and on the website, some did not see the updated information or have the time to collect that achievement.
We will put the bonfires back in the game tomorrow, sometime during ArenaNet office hours, so players who missed out can get the Rallying Flame achievement. The bonfires will not give any buffs, however.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
EDIT: The bonfires will remain in-game until May 28.
Is this still the plan?
Anyone else notice that bip and epidemic have 0.5 second cast times when underwater? Half-a-second is so much easer to use than the 0.75 and 1.0 second cast times for the same skills on land. Are there any other skills with shorter casting times when underwater? Is this a bug?
I’ve just experienced this issue on the FA borderlands. Is this limited by account now? First character opened the chest as expected, second character cannot open chest and now has two useless keys in inventory.
I didn’t see anything in the patch notes about it and I can’t find anything else online, either.
@Ryan Diederich How do you know that? Please share what you did to test it? There was (is?) a similar issue with the Giver’s weapon condition duration, that was easily testable, and because of that it was easy to see it was not a UI bug, but a real functional bug. In addition, for a long time now (several months), I’ve suspected an issue with magic find stats seemingly being bugged after being killed, and now I see the Hero Panel, and it all makes sense. Pleas don’t take this the wrong way, but telling people it’s just a display issue doesn’t make it a testable fact.
Some recent changes to the Champion Risen Abomination behavior in Cursed Shore at Caer Shadowfain seem over powered. The Abomination Slam skill hits for 16,710 on a lvl 80 Sylvari Necromancer with 2,868 armor. Immediately following, two Abomination Swipes hit for 10,455 and 9,961. That’s an unsurvivable 37k combo .. just saying.
I can confirm seeing this bug on a lvl 80 Sylvari Necromancer. Please fix.
It looks like food buffs (Omnomberry Bar) are also bugged, logging out to the character screen seem the only way to recover the full percent magic find.
I can confirm seeing this bug on a lvl 80 Asura Mesmer with exotic lvl 80 Traveler’s gear and six pcs. rune of scavenging. I actually have to log out to the character screen to recover the expected percent magic find. I’ll have to try the town clothes method next time, but in my case re-equiping all pcs. of equipment did not recover the full percent magic find.
Have you tried this build?

The champion risen baroness is ridiculous, please fix. It cannot be killed and apparently has no leash (see attached image).
Yes, this is a sticky post at the very top of the bugs thread:

The champion risen baroness at the gallow’s hang skill point in cursed shore has a pull skill that ignores stealth from the mesmer decoy skill.
Is this a known bug, if you die and way point during the fight, and are running back to the area when the NPC is killed, that you don’t get the rewards chest for completing mission? Now, I actually got the gold medal, XP, and karma for killing the bounty, but I did not get a rewards chest. Everyone in my guild says I should have gotten a chest like the daily achievement chest, but I did not. And no, I had never done a tier 1 bounty this week. I did participate in a tier 3 bounty a couple weeks ago, but so did most of the people in our guild, and many of them got rewards for this mission no problem.
I’ve also experienced the ridiculous respawn rate in Sparkfly Fen (FA). At the Veteran Risen Plaguebearer (with a basic reward chest) in Aleem’s Penance (Ruined Vallah POI). After carefully fighting my way in there solo and defeating the veteran, playing a lvl. 80 Mesmer outfitted in full exotics, I didn’t even have enough time to open the chest before everything respawned on me.
In general, I prefer the open world content, and fighting veteran and champion monsters is one of the more interesting challenges when playing as a single player. However, it sucks when all of a sudden the monster you’ve been battling for 15 minutes turns and runs, and immediately regenerates to full health, while I’m still attacking it, and while my conditions are still ticking for damage. Adding to this, as soon as the monster runs back inside some some invisible fence, it turns back and begins attacking me again with full health. What is the reasoning behind this reset mechanic? Pardon me for thinking so, but it seems artificial and cheap. Isn’t there some better and more creative way that this could be designed?
Yeah, come to mention, it does look funny. I thought maybe that was the way it was suppose to look. Let’s try reporting this in the monthly “Issues with character art, weapons, or armor?” thread (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/March-Issues-with-character-art-weapons-or-armor). Perhaps a moderator would be so kind as to move this post to that thread for us?
Is anyone seeing their kill stacking on the Superior Sigil of Corruption reset for no reason? I didn’t get downed, or travel zones, or anything. It just reset for no apparent reason at all.
Okay, thanks. It seems to work okay when I’m not moving.
Scepter skill 3, Confusing Images, is often failing to apply confusion (tested on pve trash mobs). I don’t recall having this trouble much before, except maybe when I was literally running from an enemy. Anyone else having a similar experience?
3/7 FIXED
Thank you
Same issue just this evening on FA for Jormag. I had been avoiding the Dragon events for several days because of the performance since the 2/28 patch (hint: not a case of multiple chests). This evening was the worst lag I’ve seen, and shooting that bazooka weapon was really an exercise in patience. So, I ended up getting zero credit, no chest at the end, not even a medal (see attached). Now, I did gold medal in the event to destroy the crystals and I got the regular loot for killing adds during parts of the Jormag fight.
My testing indicates that for 2 Superior Rune of Lyssa there is not the expected 10% increase in condition duration for bleeding. I tested this using only these 2 pieces of armor and the Necromancer skill utility Blood is Power (BiP). The base duration for BiP is 30 seconds. The duration is not increased while wearing these 2 pieces of armor. The expected duration is 33 seconds.
EDIT: This was in the PvE area of Frostgorge Sound, level 80.

I can confirm that as of 3/1 the third activation of the Mesmer’s scepter ether bolt chain (Ether Clone) doesn’t apply confusion. I don’t think the clones are doing the correct damage either (is 1 point damage correct, see attached screenshot).
Mesmer Prestige not blast finisher after 3/1
The hotfix to the bug previously introduced on the cool down of the Prestige skill, seems to have introduced yet another regression issue, unless I’m mistaken and forgot how it’s supposed to work. There is no longer a blast finisher on this skill, and hence no longer any chaos armor being activated on this skill when used inside an Ethereal combo field. Please check it out. Thanks.
Had the same rip off just now. Last night I had 4/5 done and only needed one or two more events. After patch today .. only 1/5 completed.
Here is an example from a few minutes ago on the FA server. Sorry I wasn’t able to time the screen capture to show the “Obstructed” message every time I swing at it, but it is obstructed. Clearly, it is still slowly destroyed using the Pact weapons, even though it’s not rendered correctly.

FIXED IN 1/28/13 PATCH .. THANKS *)
The skins on the Corrupted Harpoon and the Corrupted Spear are switched, so that the harpoon looks like the spear, and the spear looks like the harpoon. The icons are also switched; however, the weapons shoot, stab and otherwise behave as expected.
I should maybe add that this bug was identified when playing a level 80 Sylvari Thief (male).
