So what you are saying is, let them eat cake?
I don’t know, last time someone tried that it turned out badly
Stop bullying people for their food choices, some people in africa don’t even have food
Kreutzerova has amazing mechanics
The guy with the unsteady earth AoEs is pretty cool
The taskmaster is a unique design for this game
The endboss is a unique design for this game
I mean, it’s SE, so the fights are really quick but imo these bosses have better mechanics than some popular bosses like Magecrusher, Alphard and many more. Sure, it’s not on Lupicus level or Svánigandr, but Kreutzerova would definitly be amongst the 5 best encounters if only he had more HP
The bug is easily preventable if you know how. But if it happens once you can’t fix it. Good thing is, you know whether it’s bugged or not before the timegate
If the NPC attacks an elite after the 4 champions are dead the path will bug out, so just kill the elites first.
never set foot in that place again
The only bad part about that dungeon is having to wait for the NPC to carry the rock, other than that, it is imo one of the best dungeons out there. Definitly more interesting than any CoE path
Point is that it’s better than current prestacking
Are you trying to prove my point that you shouldn’t use bursting builds everywhere ?… That there is no zerker meta ?… I’m confused…
Baiting kittenposter got busted, thread is over, go home guys
Hey man, that’s what I’m paid for
also, wew lad
Nah, better make a witty comment and continue kittenposting
If Anet channeled the creativity for the language filter into content, oh boy
I would probably be playing the game right now
on topic: nice job, except the wings
Considering that ANet showcased Fractured with a P/P thief, I doubt the challenge as well
But I won’t whine until I’ve played it, and when it sucks I’ll kitten in a box and send it to ANet for destroying my hopes
But muh esports
You offended me so much I have to hug my body pillow
At least we timed our daily run correctly :^)
Are you bored ?
Of course, the good threads were locked down
Please help us in our collective prayers to Time Warner Cable to improve mikus internet.
FTFY.
You make me jealous
I almost run out of popcorn. :>
Something, the supporter of this topic, seem not to understand. Most of the “complaining” here isn’t really about the cleric thingy, this got most likely already discussed in the first topic.
The thing is, there was a thread here on the forums about this stuff, then there was a reddit thread and now, there is a forums thread again. Skady can say what she wants, but at some point it really looks like she is seeking for attention.About playing with a “tanky” guardian in fractals. Why shouldn’t you? If you don’t care that your runs will be a bit slower, you can do so, because it will make it way easier. Mistakes are more forgiving than running with zerker.
Is clerics gear and camping mace the optimal thing to do? Not in my opinion, there are better options pulling this off.
Is a “tanky” clerics guardian even needed for Fractals? Not at all, for most of the stuff it doesn’t make a difference at all. A zerker guardian will be as tanky as a clerics guardian, but he will do way more damage. One thing I had to laugh about, when I look back at the reddit thread. Skady saying, that they like the challenge of 3 maning fractals, but then running clerics guardian. It doesn’t make sense at all.
Better get a nomads guard then, being afk on hammer, that’s the real challenge tho. KappaBut yeah, as I kinda mentioned above already, most people aren’t concerned about her playing clerics, more like that it is absolutely not needed and that this topic pops up all over again.
Just my two cents.
Have you even trio’d fractals before? I think they are a lot harder than you say!!!!!!11
^ Nothing to add, but
Tobi should probably go back to Thief :^)
Very nice run
You can hide your mouse cursor but we will still notice your skill clicking
What kind of silvers are you playing against, holy kitten
> 2014+1
> not thinking of your own kittenposts
do you even try?
Wow, dodd is taking over my job at kittenposting
Ginvar gave Bukke a good ol’ rub
You all suck :^)
Well done, congratulations for sub-6
If you can’t fight the meta, join the meta
I already know there are gonna be smart-kitten that will say things like “go watch unrestricted records then”, but lets be honest, there aren’t many people that give a kitten about unrestricted records
Guess why
There is a difference between allowing a completly bugged boss or using an unintended waypoint and using a blink spot to get ahead faster.
Also it’s ironic that you critizize people who don’t do records (but have been around since forever) yet the only thing I associate your name with is a solo of some boss in arah. I admittedly might be wrong about that.
That being said, there is a point in reforming the unrestricted ruleset since at the moment, when your record goes unrestricted it feels like a punishment. But I don’t want a unrestricted-only ruleset either as I have explained multiple times in other threads.
To touch on what Wethospu said, while DnT handled records I think exactly three have been submitted + some that were left from gwscr.com. The only controversial ones were CoF p2 and Arah p4, where Fennec used a DPS meter (no one except the approvers noticed in CoF p2 because it is just the worst dungeon ever). But to call that “out-of-the-box” gameplay is flat out wrong
(edited by Cheezy.2039)
“If they didn’t intend Wall on Wall it wouldn’t be there” or any bug ever (Alphard bomb, Lupi AA, pick your favourite)
ANet doesn’t care about dungeons, this is a kittenty argument
Using the mute button is not an exploit nor considered unrestricted
To also leave a serious comment: you are blinking past triggers all the time, let it be triggers for mob pathing or event triggers.
And I don’t think people would prefer a ruleset in which you can fully disable bosses, safespot bosses, manipulate event mechanics, manipulate skill cooldowns, etc.
That would be fun to watch once, then it would be more boring than a record in AC p3
Unless you use a 3rd party tool everything is a legit game mechanic. Skipping to Brie from the start of Arah uses nothing but legit game mechanics. Jumping over the door in CoE uses nothing but game mechanics. Bugging the Wraithlord ritual in Arah p3 uses game mechanics.
Game mechanics aren’t something you can support your argument with.
Game mechanics is what unrestricted should be about.
(edited by Cheezy.2039)
If you time your Deep Freeze well you can burst down Subject 6 in that time and if that’s not enough there’s still cripple and chill. Just not if you use sick split strategies
And by the wording of the rule
11.) Attacking enemies which don’t try to fight back is banned.
it’s pretty much all or nothing. Is walking to a trigger spot considered as fighting back or not? Imo if you ban immobilizing this will cause some problems but it would be nice if we could clarify those before this weeks voting is over
(WTB fix by ANet)
Elementalist Fire Magic trait line gives 150 extra power which is 3%-5% more damage. For reference, might nerf reduced only up to 125 power
Keep in mind that might nerf hit every party member but bugged Fire Magic only affects eles. I think resetting for that would be a mistake as well as resetting for Might nerf was
Well, I’m not really a fan of disabling bosses as is, but for these cases (Fimbul and Subject 6) it just seems kittened, having to wait for them.
Also some other stuff that I think restricted needs to be as fun as it currently is.
As I said some time ago, I don’t really want/need a consistent ruleset as long as it’s fun to play and compete in
I don’t want to disable bosses, I just don’t want to wait for bosses to do whatever they need to do before i can attack them. But w/e
All I would want is a fix for this boss.
As it is now? Allowing the immobilize seems more fluent in terms of gameplay.
And like I said, that was my personal opinion, that’s what I would vote. I wouldn’t say restricted is a stupid ruleset if people disallowed this. Opposed to Lupi one shot, that imo was banned for a good reason
(edited by Cheezy.2039)
Since you would have to wait for the boss to walk to its location it is (in my opinion) just not fun to compete with that as a requirement.
It’s just as the arah p4 bosses (specifically lyssa) used to be. If you have to go an extra mile to make them not bug you can’t force people to not do it.
And nowhere I said that just disabling a boss is unrestricted, imo it depends on the encounter and how you do it.
I’m not extremly familiar with the rulesets of other games but I know a few cases where the community decided to ban/allow specific stuff in relation to glitchless stuff, which is always the ruleset that has the most discussion regarding its rules
The obviously best solution would be a fix or an official statement, but we know how that will go.
(edited by Cheezy.2039)
my personal opinion is to allow basically everything but strait hacking
These sort of things are exploity. But thats what records should be about.
That’s what we have unrestricted for. People think unrestricted is not worth watching/doing? Too bad, but stop trying to turn restricted into that.
Every game with a speedrunning community has categories for speedruns, let it be any%, glitchless, any% no file corruption or whatever you chose. Which category is the most competitive depends on the community. The GW2 speed running community is obviously prefering the restricted rule set.
If you want to watch unrestricted stuff, change the rules to make it appealing, do stuff yourself, make people want to compete. But don’t mess with restricted, because that was fine as it used to be.
My personal opinion on perma immobilizing Fimbul: the mechanic of bosses needing to be in a specific spot to trigger their mechanics is kittened, if you can disable a boss just with a trait or whatever I don’t see it as unrestricted. Perma immobilizing a boss that has only melee attacks and staying at max melee range would be similar.
Obviously depends on the encounter, but this specifically I don’t view as unrestricted.
Optimal my kitten , fight me IRL you little kitten :^)
That’s what you get
Disgusting/10
I will personally give all of you a Guild Disgrace rank on ts
Except Aike, because at least your music is good
Urban Battlegrounds has a lot of RNG considering the path from Dulfy to the Courtyard.
Not going to touch on every point, but FYI I didn’t mean you specifically but rather everyone who opposes restricted in this thread.
Restricted is not void of exploits. Restricted is not “what ANet intended”. Restricted is our rule set, as a community. Not more, not less. Which is also why not one individual should handle the rules on his own but the people who participate vote on the rules.
It’s nice that you are against restricted for whatever reason. But when was the last time you did a record? Why didn’t you do one?
And as I said earlier: from the point of view of someone who actually competes, we don’t need a standard ruleset that you can lay over a record and then you have an automatic decision, allowed or not allowed. We don’t need to cover everything. If an issue arises we can talk about that and ban or allow it for future reference.
I don’t get how people are still talking about Arah p3 gate or CoE door when “we” voted about that exact thing 2 weeks ago. I know it’s not in the poll, but for some reason people still discuss it.
That being said, I want Weth to continue doing this, the site looks awesome, etc. But it feels like you are starting votes for the sake of discussion. And I don’t like how some things are worded, if you ask “general rules or exceptions?” of course most people are going to vote for general rules, because that would be ideal. But is it actually achievable? And again, as I said earlier, I don’t need a consistent ruleset, I want a ruleset that is fun, fair and competitive. And if it needs 10+ path specific rules, so be it.
(edited by Cheezy.2039)
This change is disgusting. You already spend more time skipping than actually fighting (except for HotW or low man parties) and now they buff DPS out of the kitten while nerfing mobility to the ground.
Obviously one has to see how it will turn out, but I think dungeons will be really boring with this change.
I agree with Nike. Why is this even changed?
Of course it’s nice to have a ruleset that is consistent, but I’d rather have rules that are inconsistent if they are fun, fair and competitive opposed to consistency at all cost. I don’t know why people suddenly have a problem with things that have been like that since I started being interested in “hardcore” PvE, it’s fair to have a discussion about it as we progress in the game. But why would you change an entire ruleset or its point. (At least that’s how I understand this discussion)
I agree it would be way more interesting that way, but having to play around Hunter’s Call, either by spamming blocks or LoSing is a pretty good mechanic imo.
I just like that boss a lot for some reason
No love for Svánigandr or Kodan’s Bane yet? Best bosses in dungeons imo. In fractals, Mossman and Dredge Power Suit if it wouldn’t die so fast
