- To gain new expiriences
- To change your playstyle (for fun)
Why won’t you change your build?
- You don’t feel for a change
- You don’t want to pay the change-fee
- You don’t want to pay the change-fee again, if the new build dont works on you
So why not giving us a chance to change the build once per month for free? Who don’t want to change is not influenced by this suggestion. Who already changes his build, only looses a bit less gold. On the other way there are a lot players like me (or at least i think so^^). I am interested in trying out and in diversifying my build, but my actual build works, so even the low fees are enough to hinder me in changing my build.

I can’t help it, the search function is no help again, to show only titles helped me better in the past. It is some time since i last suggested things about skills, but i have still fun to do so sometimes.
Utility:
Calculate Risk (Manipulation):
You take 50% more damage for the next 4s, but eacht time you are hit, you inflict massive confusion to the foe. You also gain 4s of retalitation and cannot attack.
Blackout (Manipulation):
You and your foe are dazed for 3s. You gain also stealth for three seconds.
Backfire (Glamour):
Creates a dome around the foe, that inflicts confusion each times the foe attacks.
Clumsiness
If you are attacked in the next 2 seconds, you create two clones and damage your foe.
Mantra of Leeching
Stuns foe and refills 25% of your Energy.
Arcane Conundrum (Glamour)
Creats a field, that inflicts immobilized on creation, chill on entering and cripple on leave.
Guilt and Schame
Blocks for 2s and creates a phantasm on blocking, that deals 50% more damage to attacking foes.
Wastrels Worry
Creates a clone, if used against a inactive foe and recharges in 1s, recharges 60s, is uses against active foe.
Elite:
Signet of Grand Illusion:
Passive: Creates a Clone on Clone’s Death.
Active: Creates a Phantasm, that uses your actual Autoattack.
Hexeater Vortex:
Removes all conditions from you and nearby allies and all boons from nearby foes. Refills your endurance.
Mantra of Fragility:
Damages Foe. Additional damage for each condition on the foe.
Crippling Anguish
Creates a phantasm, that crippls and bleeds the foe.
Wandering Eye
Creates a phantasm, that blocks attacks and deals aoe damage on blocking
Migraine (Glamour)
You enter a faked downstate, you uses your actual lifepoints and vreate a field around you, that heals you and allies. If you are killed, you are defeated without entering the real downstate. If you are revived, all nearby allies are also revived.
Mistrust (Manipulation)
For the next 4 seconds (you cannot attack) you deal massive damage to foes attacking you.
Stolen Speed (Manipulation):
Inflicts haze and stun to foe and grants quickness to you.
Mantra of Power
Dazes inactive foes, stuns moving foe and knock downs attacking foes.
That was some fun for me, i know, how idiotic this suggestion is^^.
Only a short little Suggestion.
I have no real problem with the mesmer, i even like the the problem of deciding between ignoring shatters and shattering three phantasms.
I only see one little problem. The way phantasmal healing works: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Phantasmal_Healing
Not only is AoE Regeneration a nice buff for the already strong phantasms, it makes it even harder to shatter them. It is not easy to detect, when the next phantasm will inflict the boon, so there is a high danger to shatter them without having the boon granted.
Furthermore there is a high chance, that each phantasm will us its skill at least once. 10 seconds are a lot of time. There is a high chance, that they will die before the regeneration is inflicted. I also often shatter phantasms instantly after they uses their skill, this will also hinder the regeneration to be inflicted.
I suggest, that the regeneration is either inflicted when the phantasm attacks (duration depands on phantasm) or on pantasms death/shatter.
I only wished for expressing my thoughts. My english is far fom perfection, but still it should make more sense to post it here. I’m sry, if i am posting unneeded additional threads, but it is a lot harder to overlook the englesh forums compared to the german ones^^. At least i am happy to find few ones agreeing with my disliking of weakening the exotic position in the game.
… You are aware, that legendaries will only have stats equal to the best stats in the game, actually equal with exotics? To increase the grind is no problems, it keeps the grinding people in the game an brings no benefits besides a special skin.
Furthermore, quit creating a item progression where is no one. It is a fail, that some exotics will loose their worth, but neither is this actually the situation nor has anet not realized this already. It is also a fail to limit ascended gear to the fractal dungeon and make them cost soo much, but neither do you need them outside the fractals nor did anet not state that this is a problematic way too handle the problem with the too easy to obtainable legendaries.
People that grind endless time to run around with a skin are pretty dumb in my eyes (i dont want to harm anyone, but if you grind although the grinding itself is no fun to you, i only can discribe this as dumb). To keep this dumb grinding peoples in the game, add more ginding especially for these ones, that already are spending their life with grinding^^.

Legendaries… Anet, you failed horrible… You made them far too easy to obtain.
Repreduce the hardship to get them
If i remember right, legendaries will be upgraded to ascended. Also there wont come new better gear than ascended. That is fine for me. Whatever, here is a chance to cancel the easyness of obtaining. The Upgrade to ascended will need more, far harder stuff than the actual legendaries need. Bonus of Legendaries: The Stats on them can be changed freely at a NPC.
New hardships for legendaries
- You could give eventchains a granted and sellable items for legendaries, whatever, you need many of the and you cant farm them.
- You could give special accountwide monthly quests like finishing all Skillpointquests again (no new skill points), that will give a needed item and will hinder players to make progress in too less time or get them too fast through grind.
- You could use more gifts (2nd Story of Dungeons)
- Special fights in Dungeons after 2nd Story: Remembers the explo ways, but you can go everywhere in the dungeon. There will be no story anymore (TA: A few lower, shattered, but remaining bad-plan-guys + corrupted foes), but the foes there are hilarious strong and the bosses have a chance to drop a needed item.
New legendaries
In new parts (Add-Ons), there will be more legendaries, but the items for them mostly can only be found there. In the final Add-On, there could be a legendary mystic forge (can be reached after finishing this Add-On), which needs all existing legendaries of one weapontype to create a new legendarie weapon.
Also there should be added a legendary armor, but only one set and not completly (for example shoes are later added foe the actual GW2 and Gloves can be obtained in the first Add-On.).
In the final Add-On a legeandary Backslot could be the last obtainable legandary, it gives a special effect, stronger than the existing legendaries.

Exotics are not so hard to get, but they need some time, especially for casual players like me who also plays more than one charakter, to obtain this gear is something i will never finish (most likely first a complete armorset, then some weapons, then the same for other charakters, then a second set with completly different stats with one charakter… actually i have one charakter on 80, three exotic weapons and one exotic armorset.
Forthermore the exotic will end as crap, if ascended gear comes, making dungeons uninteresting… For players, which are often in GW2 and play a lot, it may is OK to get more and more gear over and over again, they are there anyway… but for casual players it is a nightmare, they may need far more time for the actual content, but if they/we need to have ascended gear for future content and the gear will remain so hard to get, most of us will never see the new content…
Before starting my suggestion, it goes always around the stats, the (transmuted) skins have no influence.
Suggestion one, craftable ascended
The craftable Items are not too much worth, but especially that and only one (two for weapons) skin will make them completly useless for everyone who dont want this skin… Four crafted pieces of the same type (4 clerics breastpeaces) in the mystic forge will create one ascended piece withe the real (not transmuted) crafted skin (1 clerics ascended breastpeace). The same could be done with the actual Accessoires. The new gear has no Upgrades.
Suggestion two, Karma ascended
There will be a new karma merchent for exotic weapons, but no one for ascended. Four identical exotic karma pieces will create one ascended (same like crafted ascended). The same should be introduced for WvW-Armor and -Weapons. The new gear has no Upgrades.
Suggestion three, Dungeon ascended
Add a 2nd Story, that plays after the explororeable (each way at least once accountwide and your charakter must have finished already) and will update all your actual weapons out of this dungeon and the merchants weapons accountwide to ascended status, Upgrades and transmuted skins will remain. Of course, this is only for Lvl 80 and harder the the exploreable.
Suggestion four, Mystic Forge ascended
Four random lvl 80 exotic items of the same type (light breastpieces/Maces/Swords/…) will create a ascended item, weapons will have the skin of basic weapons with a rare chance of a unique new skin, Armor will use the actual lvl 80 exotic loot skin with a rare chance of a unique new skin.
All actual items, that have a recipe to create them, and some random item with a rare chance get a new recipe to upgrade them to ascended (this needs stuff out of the fractal dungeon).
Suggestion of new ascended gear in fractals
Weapons can be upgraded with fractal items in mystic forge, after the hardest Level is finished (doesnt exist yet), there is a merchent who sells a unique new ascended armor for high amounts of gold and the exotic fractal weapons in a ascended version with an unique upgrade on them (can also be obtained where you get the exotic ones).
Ascended in future dungeons
If there will be new dungeons added, they are all for lvl 80 (may lower for story mode).
The amount of new dungeons is bigger than the amount of new sets, but each set need tokens out of more then one dungeon. Theses sets are ascended and have unique upgrades.
Later there will be new dungeons introduced (each has a unique set of ascended armor) like the fractals and the last add-on needs everywhere infusion (it will have no new ascended gear, but a complete set of new legendaries)
A tier-system for infusions
(i nearly forgot this). What could the players keep to want new stuff, if the stats wont get better? So make them better, but not give complete new weapons, but better upgrades. For example, actually there only exists Tier 1 Infusions. You can only upgrade it with a tier 3 Infusion, after you got a tier 2 infusion.
Tier 1 Infusions can be obtained in fractal dungeons, but also as loot everywhere in GW2. The higher Tiers can only be obtained through special circumstances, for example could give each run through the 2nd story of a dungeon give the gift of this dungeon (only if you did it once before with this char) and for a higher amount of this gifts you get a tier2 infusion, unique for this dungeon. Future content will give better tiers, but the tiersystem will bring you to do the older content first.

Although i hate the fact, that there are upgrades i cant get because anyone wants them, too, there are cheaper upgrades that are used too less and should be also effective.
First: Merge this, if you want, I know there other Threads about this and i searched for “ascended”, but there came only threads about end-game and grinding…
I am actually playing for exotic gear, mostly through dungeons. I have fun in there and am really happy about the rewards (max stats with nice skins, but mostly max stats), but there are still many other things i would do rather than dungeons, only the rewards keep giving me enough joy… Furthermore i play not often, so i dont have to do the dungeons too often, but that also means i will mostly only play for exotics and still wont have full equipment before more ascended gear comes..
- I would be happy to see the exotic gear changed to ascended, bit i have no hopes for this.
- If i can get ascended gear in a easy way, what i also cant hope for, this easy to get ascended mostly wont have the same stats like my exotic gear… I didn’t got Precision+Healing+Vitality without a reason…
- If i can get ascended gear easy and in with the stats i want, all the work fot the exotics would be for nothing, after i used/will use fine stones for the half of my equippment… even the skins of dungeon armor, they may are nice, but the skins of the most low-level armors (easy to obtain) are also good and the fine stones I used would be for nothing, too…
Also there is a chance, that there will be no way to get ascended armor easy…
- It is from no really use to get exotcs anymore then and i would feel really depressed about the time i used for obtainig them.
- The actual way to get ascended armor is far too annoying, i would never go make the fractals over and over again…
Whatever, it are actually only accessoires (may some gold worth before, but actually it is the last gear you normally try to get^^) and backslots (only one and no exotic version before, right?), furthermore you will may add easyer ways to get them later…
What im afraid of in future Updates
- The Update of ascended gear makes the actual gear to crap, not worth the amount of time to get it and gives you a feeling of frustration about the time you spent of it.
- Infusion is needed, what makes the new content impossible without it (keeps players like me out of it)…
- The high amount of time to get the ascended will make them not reachable for me…
- Over and over new stuff that we have to obtain again…
May a other idea to this… make many things cheaper but increase the costs of the expensive stuff… especially crafting, you need 400 for two things, exotic gear and legendary gear. To get 400 to make your own exotic takes a hilarious amount of time, i think i will have exotic sets (more than one) for each of my scholars etenetys before i have a 400tailor without farming/buying mats…
On the opposite, legendaries are far too easy to get… there should be multiple required items, from which you cant get more than one each month and which needs a good amount of real work…
Legendary are long time goals, if you try to grind/farm it in short time, it is your fault…
What me annoys more are the many things i cant get if i need them, if i am not farming… To get 400 without grind/farm takes much time, you can get the crafted stuff far before this through AH. And Dungeontokens, you have to do the same Ini over and over for it, boring like hell…
I am not grinding and i have to say, i will make enough money without grinding to pay my exotic equipment before i ever will see a 400 through using the mats i find without grinding…
And i never were in fractals, but the whole “go fractals, get descended”, i totally dislike it…

Duration of conditions is rounded to nearest quarter of a second in skill tooltip’s list of effects (0s, ¼, ½, ¾ and 1s) and conditions which inflict damage over time (bleeding, burning and poison) only deal damage each full second.
Three things here annoy me horrible:
- Very short durations are often not increased (i.g. 10% increased duration has no effect on a 1s Condition). Whatever, i can live with that…
- Conditions, that make damage and stack in Duration…
- Poisen… at least it has a secondary effect, so i can live with it…
- Burning… random on crit (ele trait), random on hit (Mesmer Staff), each 5th hit with guardian… not only the short duration is a problem, also most times there is no chance to renew it in time, so even if it is increased, it has no use… especially the guardian, burning each 5th attack, the condition won’t last long enought to stack… i mean +10% (Sigil), +15% (Rune), +5-30% (Traits), not even all of them together are enough to increase the duration up to 2s…
- Bleeding… it stacks intensity… if you can inflict two 1,25s and one 2,5 s of Burning in time, it will damage 5 times (5s), but for bleeding will this (0,25/0,5/0,75) always be completly useless… so far there is any increased duration, there are nearly ever such rounded numbers… that really cant be… especially +10% (sigil) is useless on bleeding shorter than 9s and +15% (rune) is worthless on bleeding shorter than 6s… the average player will not only realize, that this upgrades alone are useless on him…
Please change something about this…
Guardians lost their minds long ago, there seem to be no way to create new ones and i have never seen a female one. The story of GW1 doesnt fit for them to be playable in GW2.
Furthermore, they have Horns and seem stronger, but they are more or less equal looking with sylvarie only with less colours…

Fractaltokens, dungeontokens, mats, theses stuff is actually needed for many things in GW2, but the ways to get it is mostly boring and needs some time…
I am absolutly OK with some work for my rewards, but this ingame-work should be fun. Doing it over and over again is no fun.
Also, of course you get gear very easy in GW2 compared to most other games, you can even only play what you want and get gold and mats over time to buy/craft the gear… Whatever, to get enough gold/mats for a complete max gear needs a bit too much time for many players. It is no motivation, if there are many really active players with max gear and you can only say to yourself, “in a year i should also have max gear”…
Furthermore, you can get tokens fast and even dungeonskins are easy to get compared to other games, but obviously you have to do a dungeon over and over again and Anet said, there is no grinding/farming in GW2 needed… Many players feel betrayed…
I loved it in GW1… There were many players running around in prestige armor and with rare weapons, whatever, these were only skin. It may is a nice feeling to get your first prestige, but you had already the same good stats without it.
@Olba: I can already farm for my other charakters, Dungeonmarks, Gold, WvW-Marks, Mats, … OK, Karma cant, but everything else can.
And yeah, this suggestion of mine is a bit created by my way to play… I prefer to run around with maxgear and a skin i like. It is nice to have some harder-to-gain-goal like legendaries, but i mostly want to play with my wished gear, not for my wished gear^^.
I cant stand, if my charakter looks ugly and i would never use a higher amount of gold or something else for something that is maybe good-looking, but only nearly max gear. Also it doesnt hurt me to run around without max gear, but i prefer max gear^^.
I also had much situations in games (especially in GW1), where i got my prestige but had no fun with it, because it may look a bit better than my previous armor, but i hadnt anywhere left to play with this armor…

I dont get the use of soulbound, OK, stuff like cultural armor may needs it, but what else? Wouldn’t the bad stuff you use with your lower Level be soulbound, you could use it again, if one of your other Charakters reach this level again, what would be bad about this? If you give with lvl 80 your max gear to your other charakter, you still need a new set for your actual charakter, or do you want us to throw an old set away, cause we shall have the same pain to get max gear with each charakter again?
For example, my main (mesmer) has a armor she really loves, but get herself a new one she loves even more. Still the first armor was a lot of work to get and i absolutly don’t want to throw it away… Than my Ele reaches finally lvl 80 (actually only 30). Now i want also max gear with her and i would love to take the first one of my mesmer, but instead of this, i have to go through the same pain like with my mesmer again while the first set of my mesmer lies unused in my inventory… This also would solve this Problem: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Bypassing-Soulbound-lock-for-looks/first#post833548
Next example, i have all my charakters at 80 and love to play with all of them (i am far away from this situation)^^. If equipment wouldnt be soulbound, i could switch one max gear item from each equipmenttype (two swords for all, one light chestpiece for all light armor users) from one charakter to another. Instead of this i have to get each useable equipmentype for all of my charakters once… That takes a lot of place and needs much time… I mean, of course, it is not too hard to get complete max gear with one charakter, but for one is already really annoying, especially for professions with many weapons… To get max gear for each profession (or at least for 5 Charakters) does need far more time, makes far less fun and is nothing else than punishment for many players (like me)…
Last example: Equipment with different stats… Yeah, although i said myself, that it would be really useful to be able to use the same equipment with different charakters, i may want different stats for each Charakter… Especially different sets for different playstyles… But here would be accountbound even more useful than in my other example, even for only 2 Charakters. If i want an offensive GS, an defensive GS and a precision-based GS, i need 3 GSs… And that for any Profession, that can use a GS…
I actually have no fun while aiming for max gear. I mostly would prefer 3 or 4 complete equipment sets for each of my charakters, but after it is so much work, i reduced it to only a second armor… It may would be a bit annoying to switch equipment between charakters, but to get complete equipment with any charakter is even more annoying.
I want to have some day one lvl 80 of each profession and GW2 is may great, bit already reaching level 80 isnt so much fun after reaching it once… (But that is not the topic here)
I also want to play different roles with each of my professions, but to get also the different equipment (different stats) is far too much work on one Charakter alone... (If i only need the different stat-sets once accountwide, i can get them while playing my different charakters. This will still need some work, but 3 GSs for all is rather worth the work than 3 GSs for one…)
I also want to play with max gear with any of my charakters, but to get a complete set for any of my charakters… Already one complete set for my main takes far more time and work than i want and i dont think that i can complete even this one before a better, ascended version is introduced…
I am against this and agree with Bato… I hate the looks of Charrs, but i really want to use the skills, especially charrzooka… Also i really love my necro sylvarie, but would prefer for necro charrskills…
May racial skills are weaker, but for most professions (which i choose through look, not through theoretical racial skill combinations…) i prefer the skills from one race.
Especially Engeener, while i totally dislike Nornskills for it, i really want the Humanskills for it…
I also heard, that you can remove the soulbound through deleting the charakter… And this shall actually include legendaries, cultural armor, karma-rewards…
Even if only Ascii is right, i can still make it… (but i wont before an official response)
I saw a few Charakter which had used this, a Mesmer wit blue glowing eyes, a Engeener with thief-starter-mask, i was really envious…
nahh, that’s not, what i mean^^.
The most easy way to get a full exotic set of armor should actually be AC. Whatever, if you want an Arah-set, you will get the set (so far you dont get another exotic set first) after you made the (hard) Arah-dungeon. So it would be far better, to have the stats first.
Or to say it in another way, if you can reduce the damage from 4k to 3k, you shouldnt get the reducer as a reward after doing it.
Furthermore the Levelsystem has two thoughts behind it. Exotics in areas for Levels far lower than 80? Hilarious easy, right?^^. After the ascended stuff is even better, the disabled stats through higher levels will at least be a weak countermeasure…
I mean the level 80 wont change, downleveling is no use… if with each new hard content the stats increase, may some day arah will feel like a starterarea… And if you didnt understand, i said the levels will only take action if they are needed. If you can get 3 Levels in the lost shore dungeons, after entering it again these 3 levels are disabled for the easy part.
And if they say harder, i think they mean harder. The levels are not thought like already 100 levels only for the lost shore dungeon but each time they want to increase the difficulty again. I dont mean something like increasing damage and reducing it to the same damage through better armor again…
What i mean is new content where even your actual max-stats seem low compared withe the other content before and the better stats will may help, but cant change (like the actual dmg is 3k, the new harder dmg is 4k, but better stats will only reduce it to 3,9k and further levels, that could reduce it to 3k again, wont be activated at this difficulty)

This is about legandarys, not that i have the lowest bit of interest in them Xd
There are a lot of players like me, that dislike the skins of legendarys or may like it, but not enough to want it.
Furthermore there are a lot players, that want better stats for their hard work. Here two ideas for giving them, what they want.
Unique elite
There could be one elite for each profession, that can be used only, if legendarys are equipped. The elite differs for profession balancing, but its effects are more or less always the same (means only one unique new skill).
The requirements could look like:
- Can be used only, while a legendary weapon is equipped.
- After legendary armor is added, the cooldown will increase for each non-legendary piece, so that this elite is kind of wortless without a full legendary set.
Also to get only the rarity legendary will be interesting this way.
Unique Upgrades
I am against making them stronger, but giving something special sounds OK to me. There could be some upgrades only useable on legandrarys. The unikittenfect without op could be created through stronger effects with low disadvantages. For example:
- Sigil of legendary geomancy: – 5%damage, your criticals inflict 7s bleeding.
- Sigil of legendary precision: -5%damage, +10% critical hit chance.
- Rune of legendary devine protection: +25 vitality, +25 Healing, +25Thoughness, – 10 Power
- Rune of legendary devine punishment: +25 power, +25 precision, +3% critical damage, – 5 Vitality
I really want harder stuff, and it is OK, if there is also better equipment needed. Whatever, the announcement of the future of GW2 sounds horrible…
Improving your equipment sounds nice, but throwing your previous loved equipment away/transmutate the skins sounds really frustrating. If there comes new (ascended) equipment with better stats, please also give a item, that improve your actual exotics (to ascended)
Furthermore, i dislike the idea of getting the stats first, if the hard staff is already done… OK, dungeon-tokens are easy to gain, but it is already incredible annoying to make the few runs to get your reward… What is the sense in giving equipment to make hard content easier after finishing this content. Like i said, i would prefer a way to improve your actually equipment or a easy way to get ascended stats.
Also, of course, there is stuff you should get as a reward. May give the ascended equipment a self-improving-ability? You said, there will come harder content and for example the new dungeon will get harder so longer you are in it. You could let your equipment improve after some keypoint. If you reach a point, after that the content will be harder and better stats are useful, one ascended (for example) weapon could increase its “level” (shown in the stats). These levels would be very usefull, cause they are a good way to improve the stats only, if needed. So on level 3 difficulty, the stats will get up to level 3, but not higher; in low level areas your ascended weapon is may level 10, but will only use its basic stats. Also there will may be sometimes ascended weapons, but actually it will be enough to get ascended equipment stats once to let it improve itself.
