It’s like a boxing match.
Run and stand in the very back left corner.
Then when you can attack the console do that until its invulnerable again and go back to your corner.Change out your utilities for condi clear, regen, and what ever else you have and your all good.
That’s a completely different fractal

I’d say buying a raid spot is a poor way of getting ascended gear and learning the fight.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Best armor? It will have identical stats to ascended, but with unique skin and stat swap. As pointed out a million times already, you have unlimited access to the tools needed to find raid groups. It’s your choice to not use them
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
money grab? You’ll get a full set of legendary armor + a free ascended set(worth 800-1k g) for the price of a legendary weapon. Ascended set for free even.
No money purchases are required, and it is your choice to pay a mountain of gold for a cosmetic item with stat swap. You either put in effort to complete raids, pay to be carried or be happy with the 95% of the content that requires nothing
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Banning selling would only mean that you’d get 0 insights per week eldrin, as you don’t want to join a guild or lack the skill to join a decent pug(how else would each boss take 40hrs lol). Paying 2000g per week financed by rl money and then complain should be a strong indicator of a gambling and/or other problems that you may want to seek assistance for
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Then I’d recommend you to join a guild that do raids and accept beginners(or whatever skill level you are in terms of raids) so you don’t have to buy runs.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Oh but eldrin, I have pugged as well as led teams of both experienced and first timers(and no, I don’t charge for that). As with any area of the game, there are good players and those that need more training or learn how to communicate, and that is why people do what they can to minimise risk of someone dragging them down.
If you hate pugging, there are a vast amount of guilds that do raids on various levels and with 5 guild slots you can at least join one
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
The best players from the best raiding guilds are only just getting close to 150 LI now after killing every single available raid boss every week since the launch of raids.sure thing 150 LI balanced.
here are a few facts for you:
1. It’s three times as fast to get insights now as from the start. It was only possible to get 3 per week for months, then 6 and now 9.
2. A majority that buy raids do it to get the necessary things to be more successful in pugging (eternal or spirit quest tonic) or for the collection items.
3. Portraying yourself as a victim as often as possible does not make your points valid, nor does having spent a lot of rl money on the game(I’ve read your previous posts).
4. A majority of players can be successful in raiding, but a minority appears to be willing to adapt, learn, improve and invest time.
5. A minority of raiders sell raids
6. Casual has nothing to do with skill

I agree with OP. 150 LI is too much. Not to mention that not everyone can get all kills every week.
If it’s due to time restraints, all they need to do is raid for a few weeks more. What’s the problem?
Problem here is that I am someone with only 60 LI right now because I only started raiding since February and not getting all kills every week, and I also though that I only needed to be casual, kill each boss at least once, having a few LI and I’m done. But BAM, Anet demands 2 more months for getting perfect kills each week, and it’s gonna be more than 2 months for me because I can only get 5 or 6 insights each week at least, I spent more than 6 hours yesterday finding LFG and joining pug groups only to fail all, not getting a single kill.
I don’t know why it needs to be pointed out in every single thread about raiding, but there are pretty simple solutions to your problem.
1. Start your own group
2. Join a guild that do raids(check this forum or Reddit). There are casual and hardcore ones and you have 5 guild slots. While not all are able to do all bosses consistently, it’s less work to pug 2 bosses than 9.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
I wouldn’t say “no luck invovled”. Getting into a group that can consistently sit together to play few times a week for several hours do require a certain level of luck, not to mention you need to keep this group “alive” for four(?) months to get the legendary. If you had this luck then without a question, raiding is/was a lot easier for you than for those who for any reason aren’t part of this kind of group.
The only scenario that where this is true is that you join random pugs, clear it and then decide to stick together. For anyone in a guild(you don’t need same 10 each week), luck has very little to do with it as they have take time to learn how to play decently, put effort into finding a guild followed by the joining process(trial, probation etc). it’s not like there is only one group and invites determined by rng, although someone busy portraying oneself as a victim may think so.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
its still a toy at 5 min cd, just that you consistently fail to realise it.

I can’t tell if rednik is trolling or simply has very poor reading comprehension.
Portals are, as mentioned multiple times now, not unique to mesmer as they are craftable and Mesmer brings a lot more which makes it completely unreasonable to think that a lower cd would mean not taking a mesmer. How is this so hard to understand?
Moreover, the portal cannot be used in wvw or pvp and has limited use in pve as well. 30 min cd is absurd for what it does. 5 min and its useable while not even getting close to a mesmer.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
its faster for someone starting now to acquire 150 LI than for those that started at release as there are 9 bosses to kill per week now. That some decided to start late, didn’t put the effort in to join any of the raid guilds or simply don’t want to put the effort in shouldn’t be a reason for a lower requirement.

Currently, only 2/3 of the collection for the precursor is available and the final part supposedly to be released with wing three. The collection at the moment requires at least one kill of each boss in wing 1 and 2, some weekly rng chances and may take a while to complete – especially if you don’t have a static team.

I thought 100% quickness was covered by this build, but perhaps the extra little bit of quickness from the runes that you get yourself and then share out with Sig of Inspiration is utterly essential and I didn’t know it?
Even if you hit 100% boon duration, timewarp/well of action as your only sources of quickness wont be enough to keep quickness up permanently. The quickness from the wells with chrono runes combined with 100% boon duration and SoI is what makes it possible, which is why all raiding builds for chrono use them.
You can get pretty good condi dps on a chrono(or base mesmer), but that will require you to sacrifice nearly all your team utility and the end result is still worse than other condi professions. That being said, it can be very strong for solo play.

With the multi guild chat that came with hot, I absolutely love the multi guild system as it allows me to have access to all the parts I enjoy in the game without the need to abandon guilds with friends that don’t share the same interest or skill. Guilds in gw2 are often specialised in one aspect of the game, so I whole heartedly support multi guild system
My setup is:
Hardcore fracs, raids, dungeons
Casual pve, open world, mentoring
WvW
Small scale friend guild
Personal bank
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Remember that the group owes you nothing and can kick you for the wrong dyes if they wish, regardless of how weird it may seem. As much as the lfg stated killexp, there is pretty much no difference between a kill and wiping at 2% and the higher amount of insights indicate more experience/success in raids in general.
Insights are indeed a poor way of determining someone’s skill or experience(especially since they aren’t boss specific), but there isn’t any better way and all groups are free to use their own requirements.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
So what do you need help with?
From what I can see it is COF-Armor apart from chest(I think this is standard ascended skin) and head(one of the glowing masks). Effect is from undulating refractor(yellow) and the hairstyle is in hair/makeover kits. id assume the face is from makeover too, but can’t confirm
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
just unlock the recipe on the character that has crafting discipline unlocked. in case you accidentally used it on a character with no crafting profession, submit a ticket to support and im sure they can help you out.

This is a non issue, and it even has a simple fix: start your own group with only exotic gear requirement.

You trade them at the raid merchant for that mini(I.e. Drops from spirit vale at the spirit vale merchant) and get 40 magnetite shards in return.

Unless you have a set raid team/guild where everyone can play what they wish, I’d strongly recommend learning how to tank on a different class. I would expect probably 90% + of pug groups want a chronomancer to do the tanking, even when other professions (e.g. thief) make pretty good tanks as well.
Now, regardless if you decide to keep building a necro tank or go with a different class, i would recommend you to practice soloing archdiviner in fractals. While that fight is different to raids, you will learn how to manage your blocks, dodges, invulns etc while maintaining dps – which is crucial for good team dps. Inside of raids, just practice spotting the boss attacks and learn how to time them with blocks/invulns/etc as well as the timings on when to dodge, when and where to move etc.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
I think it is a poor assumption to make that casual players can’t raid or wouldn’t find raids entertaining, especially since there are probably as many definitions of casual as there are players. Raids are harder than your average content, but they aren’t by any means impossible for anyone but the elite.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
I’m pretty sure it has been on the sale already
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
in general, groups always want minimum one of of these:
Chrono(tank)
PS Berserker
Tempest
Druid
Herald
Tempests tend to be wanted in greater numbers due to high dps and utility, but it depends a bit on which boss you are fighting on what else to pick. Thieves and guardians are fine in raids, but not every group use them.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Lvl100 takes about 25-40 min with a decent team and rewards are pretty much on par with lvl10 duo with some extra encryptions. The reward is simply not good enough for the time spent.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Any form of elitist content should not have existed in Guild Wars 2. GW2 was a great example of a game without elitism, where everyone did everything with anyone in the open world or from LFG. No need to gear check etc.
You obviously never ran dungeons or fractals before HoT. Sure, there were groups welcoming pretty much anyone, but they were in a significant minority compared to the groups asking ‘2 ele, 1ps, 1thief, 1guard exp meta’ with or without gear check and where you would be kicked if not playing well. Asking for experience is not new, and anyone is free to create a group where everyone is welcome. That group can also do the raids once they are past the initial grind/learning phase and this is not different from how it used to be before hot.
I think raids are awesome, especially since fracs became a snooze fest.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Raid story isn’t different from any other part of story in the game. Want to experience it fully? PLAY IT!
If you exclude yourself by simply refusing to learn, adapt and play to any part of this game then you obviously can’t expect to have the full experience of it. It is a game, not a story book, and I honestly can’t understand how it is such a big deal to group up with other people in an mmo.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
For wvw or pvp, gs on Mesmer is just fine. Vanilla Mesmer is still very strong, and has great survivability once you learn how to play it.

As there isnt rly any proper way of judging experience, ap is more or less the only way. Its a pretty bad way though, as ive encountered countless 20-30k ap players that were absolutely rubbish.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
But the legendary items are basically just skins, right? If I unlock it on one character, the skin can transfer to the others on my account?
Yes and no. They are max stat weapons(like ascended) with stat swap available out of combat as well as having unique skins. The skins, like any other skin in the game, gets added to your account wardrobe once bound to the account and you can transmute the skin onto another weapon.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.

Wanted in all aspects of PVE, excellent casters/roamers in wvw and probably pretty good in pvp too(i am unsure after removal of cele amulet)
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
Ascended weapons is account bound, and cant be crafted on other accounts.
Legendary weapons (apart from HOPE, Nevermore and Astralaria) are unbound upon creation, and can be sold/mailed around, so you could indeed have a friend make it for you.
An important thing to keep in mind though is that all the gifts used to craft it are account bound, so you cant mail gifts of exploration etc. Same goes for some of the mats used in them such as mystic clovers(which your friend will need to craft), obsidian shards and icy runestones.

I dont know if im more interested in playing well or dressing up my characters, but currently there is only my necro in a state im not very happy with. Sadly the parts i “need” to complete it are pricey, and any help towards them is greatly appreciated

There are chat codes to ping x legendary insights as well, thus very hard to see if someone has any experience of kills or not. Imo, those are the worst ppl out there as they fake experience to get carried by a group of ppl without giving much back. Yes, I do understand that some groups will ask for more insights than what you may have, but if you can’t be honest with experience and explain that you know the encounter anyway, don’t join.
That being said, I don’t pug raids.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
I agree, its really not worth the time, effort, or resources to start up a chrono at this point. What they do still provide is outclassed by pretty much every other profession (damage, buffs, debuffs, boons, healing, tanking….all done better by others)
Alacrity is still good and no other class can provide perma quickness. Chronos are still used in all kinds of instanced pve content, especially raids.
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
a few things to consider:
- chronomancer is still very good in pve.
- you can use the Proof of Heroics you get from wvw level up to unlock hero points(I’m just assuming you’re a wvw player given pu condi)
- maps are still populated, but may require you to use the lfg at right time.
- hero point runs are still being organised. Keep an eye open on Reddit or the forum(alternatively ask there/here/your guild)

I believe it’s something like this:
The stylised bird(falcon) on the shoulders have very clear Influence of Egyptian mythology/design. Now the actual meaning of the bird in this case is a bit harder to figure out, but i personally think it is a reference to the Egyptian God Horus.
While I don’t know a specific relation between time and Horus, it might be because the winter soltice(reference of time) is/was celebrated in his honour. It may also be due to the sky(Horus=god of sky) including the sun and moon, and Horus controlling shift between day and night.
I’m sure someone has better ideas, but this is my best shot

Use the lfg and taxi to a populated map.
People want to get the events done, which requires people, and therefore taxi people in to maps with commanders or other people trying to organise.
As people go to these maps, it leaves the others with low population.
It does not have anything to do with your home server really
DPS Benchmarks, Raids, Low-mans etc.
i would say:
1-2 chronos
2 ps warrior
2 herald
1 druid
3-4 power/condi dps depending on the boss.
Raids are all about boosting team damage meaning that a few roles at pretty fixed as nothing will do support better. Chronos for quickness and alacrity, Warriors for might and banners, heralds for boon duration and fury and Druid for healing, grace of the land and spotter. Chrono is also somewhat unique in the way that you barely lose any utility or personal dps by having them tank – which is why a lot of groups ask for chronotanks.
