Are you sure you want to salvage X?

With the introduction of the lucky charms dropping off of green items, will we finally be rid of the dialogue asking us if we’re sure we want to salvage them?
Been asked since launch, and it’s probably one of the biggest gripes I have with salvaging, and now that it will undoubtedly be more efficient to salvage them, this would be a huge quality-of-life change.
Oh, as in, the entire map with the three waves of invasions? Not just the separate DE’s going on at once? Doesn’t explain the 3/5, and doesn’t make sense how people could be at 5/5 after just one map then o_O
I’ll stick around until the end of the next mapwide event, see what happens. Thanks for the input!
I find them absolutely stunning! Except the pony-axe. I do like ponies, and axes, but together they didn’t mesh very well.
I’m unable to complete the portal invasion closer achievement, even though I get the overlay speech that I “have done well. come back to me in divinitys reach” et cetera, which I guess is for when all 5 portals needed have been closed.
Also, the meta “field assistant” shows 3/5 steps completed, even though I’ve only done 2/5 achievements according to the rest of the window.
I even tried standing at a point where I knew an invasion would take place, before it started, and stuck around until it went away and awarded me a gold participation medal.
Am I doing something horribly wrong, or is this a bugg? Cheers.
You certainly nailed the look you’re going for, although the dagger and the chestarmor don’t really sit well with me. 8/10 for the effort ^^
Here’s my Mechromancer! Needs a few more cogwheels, wish I could grab some of the parts from the Magitech medium, or the aetherblade heavy armor.. >_<
Nemesis has created three different videos, for the Zerkernecro, the hybrid necro, and the conditionmancer. These three builds are basically perfect, and I’ve been using his Glasscannon build, to which I’ll supply a link. Check the three of them out Best of luck!
I really like the armorset and the shield, but the Axe is just too generic for my tastes, even if it does fit the rest of the style. There’re a lot of other axes that would fit your gear, and not look like a farmers tool, like Faithful.
8/10.
Here’s my warrior, I don’t see a lot of people acctualy using the helmet from the zephyr sanctum, but I feel I managed to incorporate it rather well!
There’re already several threads like this one around, here’s one for example
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Rate-the-looks-of-the-person-above-you/first
Some people prefer challenging themselves over money, Onshi ^^
Yup, that champ always acts like that. Had to use pets to keep aggro on him on both my ranger and necro, while I had to get a group to kill it on my warrior and engineer. I think it’s pretty neat to have champs guarding certain points, but then again I was quite a bit over zero deaths
Due to circumstances…
(edit) I didn’t look closely enough on the first one (kitten laptop 13"), and thought it was an asura, gave you too low a rating due to that. 8/10 for the necro
I find your elementalist sort of bland, I would probably see you in a dungeon and forget about it a bit later. Needs some flashiness! 4/10. Subtelty is great, to a certain degree.
Your guardian looks kitten for a level 18, 9/10! Could do with a meaner looking sword.
Here’s my mechromancer. Needs more cogwheels, and steamvents!

I think the champion changes will help in this regard.
I sincerely hope so mate!
Have you been to Queensdale lately?
Some easy champion events around Queensdale.. The lonely part is all the way from 20 to 60something, until you get to Orr. I did that trip on my necro, and gave up around 65 because it felt like I was playing a singleplayer game. I decided to craft my way to 80 instead.
And I’m on Desolation, a server concidered to be full.
The only time I use axe 1 is when I’m solo farming and I’m too lazy to swap to dagger if Axe 2 doesn’t kill the target… Other than that, never. Ever.
Sydney Losstarot, using it at the moment. Blatantly stolen from the best game ever created – Vagrant Story!
I read through this whole thing, and only ONE PERSON mentioned the most important factor of HB: Forceful Greatsword
The sheer attackspeed of Hundred Blades means you will stack more might, more bleeds and more vulnerability if you chose the Rending Strikes trait, than if you’re just using the autoattack. Each of the HB hits have a chance to apply on-crit effects from traits and your Sigil.
I cba to do any sort of math on this, but my gut tells me this’d even out and surpass any situational DPS differences between HB and AA.
Bloody hell, that music is catchy in a strange sort of way.
Aye, it’s getting pretty annoying Far Shiverpeaks hasn’t owned the northern base in Eternal Battlegrounds for as long as I’ve been trying to grab it, so more than 7 weeks by now.
Makes me wonder if i should have to transfer server just to complete it :P
Okay, two things…
First of all, Jabronee, we have the “cast time” on our attack, instead of a global cooldown + weapon speed. If we remove that timer, we’d need to implement another limitation to avoid hitting 1-5 in a second and then waiting for the cooldowns to disapear. The burst damage would be way too high, that’s why there’s a limiter between each attack. Smoothness.
Second of all, Lifelike, I played Ragnarok as well and it’s not even remotely close to being “one of the oldest mmo’s around”. It’s only 2 years older than WoW for crying out loud.
Posted by this a while back, but people seem to think that the adrenaline functionality is fine, in general.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/warrior/An-incentive-to-use-up-adrenaline
I’m in the same predicament.. I’ve gathered all the other mats by now, the only things i still require are 79 charged lodestones. I’ve ran CoE 9 times, and I’ve so far recieved 2 cores. That’s 1 lodestone for 3 days farming. So 237 days of farming CoE to get them all. It’s not possible, imagine how bored you’d become of that dungeon :P
I’ve long since given in to farming money and buying the lodestones, but thing is, they are currently at 2 gold a piece. This’ll be an expensive weapon, but imagine the sense of accomplishment when you acctualy craft the weapon
It’s both positive and negative. I really dread the time it will take to make them, but I’m still really psyched to keep going, as I want my Foefire’s Power!
Kind of an incomprehensive rant, I apologize.

You can alter this yourself by going to System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts. Click the plus sign to alter an application of your choice and select the command you’d like to alter, and then enter the new command.
Hope that helps mate
Sure, here ya go!
Exactly what I’m talking about! Spending 10 points in Strength, regardless of your other points, for 12% extra damage easily outweighs any of the burst skills, atleast in PvE.
This was an idea I had to change that, to me it’s more interesting than just flat out buffing the burst abilities.
Hey guys!
Been thinking about this a while.. I’ve been trying a lot of specs lately, I’ve built 3 sets of exotic armor and got a hammer, a gs, maces, swords, a shield and a warhorn so far.. Thing is, regardless which set I use, I always have Adrenal Health and/or Berserker’s Power, both passives increasing in strength depending on how much adrenaline we have stored up.
In the spec I run with at the moment, I have both of them, making me really think hard about when to use my adrenaline, because it feels like it really kittens me for quite a while until I’ve built it back up. It feels punishing, having to use it for a stun or immobilize or whatever I’m using at the moment.
So, a fix to this issue? Why not swap around the second and third stage of adrenaline, incenting us to balance adrenalinelevels, making the Adrenal Reserves trait (and the entire Discipline line) more attractive.
It’s a very rough idea, I’m not very good at polishing, but hey, that’s what a discussion forum’s about, ye?
It’s great in PvE! Not all skills are flawless for pvp
I used to play sword and board, and was indeed first into the group. Pop shield block and just absorb the first wave until the rest of the group could start CCing. Worked wonders with a shout build.
Right now im running a toughness build with a hammer. I’m not as durable during the first few seconds, but the CC is extraordinary.
I’m running a 10/0/30/30/0 build, with a hammer and rifle or longbow on swap. I’ve got a mix of Knights and Power/vit/tough gear, netting me 3000power and 3500 armor. I’ve only about 23K hp, but as all shouts remove conditions then vitality has a lower value to me than toughness.
Sorry, I’m rambling. My point is, if you run with Soldier runes to remove conditions with shouts, Toughness become more valuable than vitality!

A complete guide to which stat combination can be obtained where. Immensely useful.
“I personally think.. I’d rather.. I wish it was…”
These are all but personal oppinions. Of course. I, and my entire guild, think the exact opposite. Dungeons; most are not that hard, some are challenging, but all of them are amazingly fun. The dungeon sets look great, I’ve personally gathered up two complete exotic sets.
I find it funny that you think dungeons are “a timesink”. Isn’t that the entire point of playing games?
I have a level 80 and two characters at 60 plus. So far, on my 80 I’ve done all the storymodes, and finished 4 of the explorable dungeons (3 paths x 4), and did all the storymodes availible to my lower characters.
A few of these, probably 4-5 runs I’ve done with real life friends of mine. The rest of them have been PUG’ed.
Some runs have been dreadful, some runs have been absolutely amazing. I have made several friends, with whom I continuously run dungeons, through this. I’ve even found a new guild from this.
Searching for groups brings people together. The automated dungeon grouping, and the lack of commitment to the group, makes the MMO feel like a single player game. You could just as well be playing with bots. It’s horrible.
Do not judge an MMO as “unmodern” and “stoneage-y”, just because you’re lazy and unsociable. Acctualy completing the dungeon with people that you get to know through chat, and have the option of seeing again (cross server LFG… Urgh!) makes the sense of accomplishment so much greater.
(edit)Go play Skyrim or something if you wish for a great gameplay experience without social interaction.
People these days…
Mistakes happen! Don’t worry bout it, sorry for biting back.
Although I do think making HB a burst skill could potentially be fun, it would still feel like a bit of a ripoff on the Flurry burst. I’d like to say something along the lines of “just keep it as it is, and redesign the burst completely”, but this’d be moot as I think having HB be so powerful makes GS a one hit wonder. I’m just not a fan of it. I think maybe I shouldn’t be in this discussion at all…
I’ll crawl back to the sword and board topic. Good luck to all you GS fanatics!
Read again RJMazz, i was replying to Braxxus.2904 who posted right above me, suggesting an immobilize effect.
Any valid thoughts or are you just “correcting”?
Hate to burst your bubble, but a “Hundred blades with an immobilize” allready exists… Check out the burst skill for the onehanded sword
Which, by the way, is completely awesome.
/Sword n’ board warrior.
Keep in mind that sword offhand #4 seems to be bugged. For me it only stacks 1 bleed instead of the promised 4.
I didn’t bother reading the entire thread, as I’ve seen this discussion over and over again in different situations of games, and other sorts of fiction.
Just a question for Devildoc, the OP; why do you feel the need to differentiate between “gay” and “lesbian”? Gay is not a genderspecific word, but another term for homosexual. Lesbian is targeted at females in the same way askitten is at men. Just another piece of the heteronorm finding it’s way into peoples lingo..
Fair points! Thanks for the explanation I’ll play around with it when I get home, never tried a Flamethrower build before. Looks like fun!
@CptCosmic
If you replace Rocket Boots with Utility Goggles, wouldn’t it be better to user Power/Condition Dmg/toughness gear, instead of Precision? Considering the attack speed of the flamethrower, stacking the on-hit effects from crits would be easy either way.
