I think they added a guild cap to prevent an entire server’s worth of players from being in 1 or 2 main guilds.
Regardless, even if they added footsteps to it, if you’re wielding a legendary in your mainhand it overrides your offhand. Not much they can do about it.
I command consistently with about 40-50 people and I’ve NEVER been suppressed. If you’re spamming ‘Back, back back back’ or something equivalent then it’s understandable that you did get suppressed.
i also think they need to make better staffs, the current ones are very very very bad looking. the only nice is the kasmeer and the legendary one that are both fenelish and they dont fit to a male elementalist or mesmer.
Again, something I agree with. The basic staff is a wooden one with some form of crystal at the top, say one of my ideas was integrated or many of them. You could dye that simple basic wooden look to a nice black one with a death crystal for that extra particle effect… Or perhaps attuning that staff to a specific element.
However if you want to aply elemental effects on the weapons, they actually need to do that damage too, like all the other “elemental” weapons ingame.
I also would suggest that this is not something everyone can do from the start. it should be something to be earned.
Furthermore it has to be restricted to certain weapon, so that there can be still a lot of unique weapons.
While i understand that you want to “pimp” every weapon i do not think that is a good idea in the long run, because after a while we would see a lot of “same” designes in the world
I agree, we may see a lot of the same designs in the future but it’s better than the current blasé ones that we have going around at the moment. I just think adding some way to customise your weapons like in Guild Wars 1 would be amazing but keeping it out of the gold market would be even better.
We have way too many customisable features that consume some form of gold-based currency:
- Gender Change
- Physical Change (Height, Size, Skin colour etc…)
- Hair Colour
- Transmute Crystals.
Something outside of the pressure of having gold would be amazing for Guild Wars 2, I just hope they can figure that out.

I’ve had this idea for a while and wanted to share it with you all and I hope Anet will also reply with how they view this idea.
As we know, there are a few weapons that people aren’t happy with. Whether it be the legendaries, Ascended, custom skins or your level 1-80 classics.
The suggestions I have for these ‘Undesirable Weapons’ are the following:
- Integrate the idea of GW1’s weapon dying system… It worked, and there should be a quest available to unlock it. I suggest a quest because we have too much Trade Post stuff and way too many achievement metas with the current living story.
- Elemental Fusions (Idea from: Tibia)
You can buy/craft/create/earn your very own elemental gems and attune them to your weapon(s). Again, a really good customisation that is ignored by most games and I feel it would add to these ‘Undesirable Weapons’
- Energy Gems (Jade Dynasty – Refinery System, WoW – Enchantment System, Rift – PvP rank items)
Allow the ability of adding gems to your weapons that add a certain glow/shimmer effect to them. This has been used on several games; Rift, WoW etc..
Again, these are just some ideas that GW2’s Dev team could really focus on to distract players from the constant ‘Money sink’ and ‘Grinding’. I know they have avoided quests as much as possible, but could a few here and there hurt that much? It never did in GW1. This is also my first suggestion, don’t shoot me

If you transmute your legendary SKIN, no matter how many times, the transmute splitter will give you back the skin + the item you put it over.
For example:
Level 80 original Sunrise onto → level 5 white weapon → then level 10 white weapon…
~Use untransmute crystal~
You will get the 10 white weapon back + your Sunrise with selectable stats.
Hardly OP on a level 4 fractal. :/
Legendary’s that are equipped in the off hand slot don’t have any footfalls, just bear that in mind.
After a year of focusing on where my gold is mostly going.
Justify to everyone why you deserve a precursor?
Because you put 2000 hours in?
What makes that more worthy than someone who supports the community on a daily basis? A commander who tirelessly works in WvW? A player who put 2000 gold through the mystic forge? Any number of other reasons?
You don’t need one and the attitude that you somehow deserve one for putting hours in is absurd.
I agree with this, there are many, many ways of getting precursors rather than just accumulating some hours. Maybe if he’d spend 2k hours grinding gold, he’d have more luck in getting a precursor.
I personally have had 4 precursors of which I’ve used them all
Dawn – Looted in a WvW Keep lord WAY back
The Legend – Made it at the mystic forge using 30g’s worth of exotic staffs
Zap – Bought it, relatively cheap
The Chosen – Bought it, relatively cheap.
It’s all about spending your time wisely instead of trying to focus all of your hours on getting a precursor.
I’d play a Charr if I could get them to the size they are when they enter SAB. They are too huge for my liking, but I’d happily play a smaller one if they made it available.
As the question above stats
Many players have said you get 12,000 karma per fractal with boosters but I’m somewhat confused.
The achievement ‘Complete x amount of fractals’ is ticked ONCE per map, so a total of 4 ticks at the end of the complete FOTM.
Does this mean you get 12,000 per 1 map or just 12,000 karma per the whole FOTM?

That is where we are getting it from. They were said to be larger now, but I do not see a noticeable change.
Lady in the livestream said they didn’t add/change anything of the Footfall to Bifrost. Idk maybe they did and you can’t notice it, maybe the dev posting that got it wrong. God knows.
Just because you didn’t like the skin doesn’t mean that everyone else doesn’t like it as well. Conversely, just because you like it, doesn’t mean everyone else will.
You didn’t like the ascended skin, so you transmuted it to a skin you like. Now, you’re unhappy because ‘everyone else won’t know!’ Honestly, how many people do you think care? Sure some do, but I think the majority of players probably don’t. As long you are happy with your level of stats (given what is attainable) and with the looks you chose, that’s all the truly matters, or should anyway.
I couldn’t agree more with this guy +1 to him.
You can’t make an ascended weapon, with its own unique skin, then complain once you transmuted it, I think all the skins are pretty amazing to change them into multiple skins would be silly.
I don’t see the issue personally, does vanity really matter that much? If so, make a legendary next time, or am I guessing you don’t like them either?

Also ‘The only footfalls being updated were Incinerator, Bolt, Meteorlogicus, and Juggernaut’
I believe that was what she said. Judging from this nothing was said about Bifrost getting a footfall upgrade, I don’t understand where people are getting that idea from.

I was cooking today in LA and I found out that I could transmute 450Karma into 10silver each time I crafted stuff, I asked some people if it legit, some said it was, some said it wasn’t,
I’d like to know if this is an actual exploit or if they were just lying?
