Why do players so desperately want to devalue expensive items? Farm the gold like everyone else who has them (like myself).

They have two methods of obtaining them – not just from TMs. I’ll let you figure it out, though.

For some reason GW2’s raiders are more elitist than WoW ones. Which is very odd, considering WoW ones are far harder.

Because WoW caters to 2-3 raids with 3-5 wings on each one, plus 3 difficulties accompanying it – having a much wider audience.

Guild Wars 2 caters to 1 difficulty, in 1 raid with 4 wings.

Please don’t say challenge motes are a new difficulty. They’re not, you don’t get repeat rewards from them.

Why are people saying its pink? It’s a light purple glow, I looked at it on all 3 of my monitors and it’s purple mixed with white. It even has some blue in it, but I’m not seeing any pink.

The orbs look pinkish white, but overall they look more white then pink.

I’m experiencing a slightly annoying problem with the Mistlock Sanctuary… The place is beautiful and I could see myself gliding around in circles just for the sheer pleasure of the view…
Unfortunately I find that way too many people are piled up in the same map… The result is, as you can guess, a heavy drop in FPS… I’m experiencing a 9 FPS map right now
I have a very good PC, and fiber with my IP so I don’t think the problem comes from me.

Wouldn’t be possible to have less people on the same instance of that map? The point of buying that kind of access is for the place to be useful and enjoyable…

I don’t currently experience an FPS problem in Mistlock Sanctuary, have you updated all of your drivers and stuff?

You shouldn’t be using this forum as a resource for builds now that we have many tools that do it for us.

Such as metabattle and quantify will always give you the most relevant builds.

The plants that you place via Fertile Soil can be harvested for 3 ticks, however, the tree collapses after 1 click and some of the soil grounds are fairly hostile – so if you get interrupted you can’t re-harvest it again.

Hey there, not sure if you’re new to GW2 but want to give a little clarity on that…

World Transfers are only used to swap your WvW worlds; you can play all and any other content with your friends (providing your worlds are on the same region.).

Furthermore, I believe transfers were tiered as a prevention to people mass-swapping wvw servers and collapsing / overflowing them.

The Hot Zones have alot of replayability because you need alot of achievements, currencies, collection items from there for legendary weapons, which will continue to be hot content and other long term goals, like legendary armor or trinkets.

PoF will include all of this too; new stats, new ascended equipment (with LS4), new raids which can be used for legendary armor, new legendaries, etc. So your statement is really only true for people ~currently~ working on the HoT content.

The legendary armor REQUIRES you to do HoT for a number of materials; they expressly stated they won’t be releasing new legendary armor with the expansion or in the foreseeable future.

This means; if the map metas are abandoned then it will be increasingly hard to get the materials required to do legendaries, which is exactly what the OP was pointing out.

Why would ArenaNet add HoT materials into PoF?

Please add a dye channel to this legendary, perhaps two. One that changes the base glow and the planets.

More like a nightmare. The problem with “suggesting” software, is that when people think its open for discussion, they’ll devolve into arguments about which software is better then all the other software, and lament when their preference wasn’t chosen.

The software scene for forums is also supremely fractured; and has only gotten more chaotic as its evolved into a demand for “Communication Platforms” instead of discrete, single focus services. You have frameworks, products made from frameworks, products made from propitiatory frameworks, propitiatory products, services, software as a service, supported, unsupported, open source, close source, industry standard, non-standard, modular, bundles, fixed packages……. and not a single one of them capable of actually addressing all know use cases, and especially not without extensive cost in either licensing, outsourced development, or in-house experts.

Players see this as a user experience, but for the people running it, its business decision based on cost/returns. The problem that arises from this is the inherently fickleness of large communities like this one, where something as inane as the color scheme can be make or break; which can eventually turn the new platform into an amplifier for them to voice how much they hate using it.

As the saying goes….. “Everything sucks and needs to change, but in the end I liked the old way better”.

This isn’t about leading the community down a path as to which software is better, right now, any software that is modern would be better than the current format ArenaNet is using.

This doesn’t feel like a forum, it feels like a really archaic chat room or emailing system.

We woudd have to be objective about this, and right now, we are missing some key features that nearly every other forum has picked up or added. The majority of the community will do a quick google search and post an opinion about what they think is better. ANET should just make the decision for the players and then discuss some features they would want.

This removes most subjectivity from the discussion at hand.

Forum software is proprietary to someone else, if they don’t use it I would guess they can’t access it. Maybe not, irrelevant since it is up to ANET to either use what they have or cater to a minority of a minority.

BDO have both of their forums up and available through search on their own website and also on google, so any and old content / information is still findable through common search resources, I don’t think this should be considered an issue with the technology we have today.

They could get some volunteer moderators to do that type of thing for them – ‘other’ games do it also, I just think we’re missing some key features that allow us to develop our GW2 profile outside of the game.

Isn’t it time for a forum improvement?

XenForo seems to be a popular option for a lot of communities and allows a much vaster interaction of forum posting.

Notifications, friending, profile linking (twitter, twitch, facebook) excellent stuff for content creators and the general community.

We lack notifications on this forum, basic social media linking (resorted to posting it in signatures) also no actual profile building can be done on this forum, it would be great if we could adopt a more community-friendly forum.

Perhaps this would bring people back from Reddit to using this place a main hub of communication. Purely speculation, though.

Works at first (lets me log in and get into the game), but my entire game crashes few moments later. I havent experienced such crash issues before, so for me that doesnt work at the moment. Thank you for posting it tho, seems it worked for quite a few people. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, so we all can log in without any of those workarounds.

So the Dynamics Exo-Suit is here and while the armor itself looks great, the outfit has a minor issue. The thing bothering me are the holographic parts that are overpowering the whole outfit. They are huge and shiny, to the point where it’s all you pay attention to while wearing the Exo-Suit. You can’t really incorporate them in darker color-scheme since even the darkest dyes turn out really bright. I can understand that it could’ve been the goal for the designers and that some people enjoy the way those look. However, I’ve heard the same complaint from the people I play with, as well as random players. The solution would be simple enough, at least I think so, and it wouldn’t require changing the outfit itself, so people that like it how it looks right now won’t get upset. All that has to be done is incorporating an option to toggle the holographic bits of the armor. As we are all aware, we have an option like that already in game, where we can turn off the visibility of our helmets, shoulder guards and gloves. I don’t imagine it being much different from what I’m suggesting. That being said, I have next to no experience in that matter and would love to hear an opinion from someone who knows more about it.

But on topic: I made a post recently where I stated, the more people that obtain legendary armor the less likely they are to invest into the cash shop – since then, we have seen skins that are apparently, better than legendary armor in terms of shine.

I think this trend will continue and won’t change.

You get crests as you’re doing RIBA, no time needed to factor in. You earn way more crests than you can use keys.

T3, T4 mats are needed in crafting ascended components, i.e., Damask, Elonian Leather, Spiritwood, Deldrimoor Steel. If you don’t want these components, you can sell them.

There are ways to farm gold to buy leather, even Lake Doric gives you 15-20g/h worth of leather if you have a decent comm and know how to evade DR.

The crisis, isn’t even a crisis.

I’d rather the AP cap stayed – I am into PvP lately which means 1 match = daily completion, and I’m only 1,700/15,000 into it. (I think the cap is 15k?), I’d rather it stays as it gives me something to strive for.

I think the whole notion of Tengu being a playable race is a joke, at best.

If, and if, ArenaNet decides to design a new race, they will want to make one that people will invest time, money and £money into. They don’t want playable races are that are grotesque and against the meta (which is exactly what Tengu are).

Players are attractive to oddly beautiful things – Sylvari, for example. Human, as another example. I believe Largos would be a much better time investment for ArenaNet, and would allow much more customisation options (despite the issues with their wings and backpieces).

I just think Tengu would be a poor investment choice all round, for ArenaNet and for the general playerbase- most of my guild, 300 members, certainly wouldn’t play Tengu or relevel a character to play it.
