Out of the blue Rytlock doesn’t remember me, doesn’t recognize me as the pact commander and treats me in a very unkind way.
I wouldn’t have a problem with that if he always acted like that with me… But on this very Flame and Frost arc he recognised me (just last update when I met Braham!) and showed a lot of respect. I could even go and talk to the Imperator and everything because I had the authority.
It’d be fine to be treated like that if my character wasn’t the pact commander, it was great and gave me a “finally” feeling when you did it right last time, why screw it again now?
Did you try with different characters as someone mentioned?
I got mine soloing, infantile mode and using continue coins, still got it no problem. Followed Dulfy’s guide.
I know it’s really bothering to get asked, but did you try with 0 and checked the number at the end? Atleast this way you’ll have hard proof. If you get one from monkeys/anything, take note and get the difference afterwards etc…
That’s a nice thought and I didn’t think about it… Yes, it would be very touching to have followed it from the beggining and I’m sure Josh would absolutely love it too.
Just wanted to chime in and show off my “studio” of sorts. I’ve been setting this up over the past few weeks for general streaming but now it has a much better purpose. I can even seat a second person in the studio using the TV behind my main monitor if I wanted to do any casting in house with people.

While this has been reported a long time ago, please refrain from going under the world. It kills the magic of SAB and doing so is breaking the rules which could lead you into trouble.
Now unless the area you were in was not reported way…. earlier from before, it would be okay but since Josh Formane and the Team knows about this, please avoid re-entering that area.

Wait I’m confused…I get that you spent ALOT of money on crafting this item, but the drop rate on it is so low that you arnt going to ever get it from the Dragon so you were better off crafting it…yes, I know that people put it up on the TP for 95g atm, but before the Meta-Chest update Ectos were going for 30s each, now they jumped back down to around 21s each…prices change based on demand. Once the Claw of Jormag event falls out of favor (which I believe once they add the actual dragon, they will remove the Claw of Jormag) then the price will jump back up. Yes you could had saved, but I could had saved on Snow Salt if I got it in July, but I didn’t because I didn’t think I would need it then.
So he should just wait maybe one/two more years for it right?

They HAVE to choose, or they JUST made it dropable from start or JUST craftable, you can’t just make it drop after a good amount of people worked REALLY hard to make it.
It’s horrible, I’m barely doing tPvP now because my two friends haven’t been able to play and solo is too much of a pain. Even with just three os us it can still be a pain, but as the majority we can work somewhat better.
What @Kharr is saying is a necessity, the last day I did tournies I got into a team where we only were four from the start, funny enough we almost won, but it was really bothersome to know we would of won if it was 5v5.

Though I seem to have found the problem. It was not one Mesmer, but two, with very similar names (obviously playing together) and they both used the shatter spell on me, with all their clones up.

Yes, we can use it on SAB, is just the combat thing that toggles it off and that’s the point I made.
I really think it would be great and it would make sense, SAB is a game within a game, we’re walking in town, relaxing on our clothes and then we’ll play a game with those on, it’s a learning and entertaining experience, not the really serious combat we have outside it. I understand ANet not wanting people in chief’s clothes fighting undead and other people, but in SAB it fits and we’re in much need of places to use our town clothes.
If you think it’s too easy and you don’t enjoy it, don’t play it.

I think that should be the mentality of everyone. However, I know, nothing is perfect in this world so this would be asking for a lot.
The issue isn’t that it’s so easy, it’s that it’s so fast and easy at the same time that there’s no better way to get gold.
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone else would like to be able to use town clothes inside SAB (during combat) as well.
It’s really not a big deal, but it’d be a nice touch and would go well with its lore too.
I understand that it may be a bit complicated to let the system do it, but if it wouldn’t take that much time, it’d be another place where we could actually use town clothes for a reason and have fun.
So, I bought a pick. Equipped it on the character I play with my son & daughter (15 & 13). I waited. Soon enough, there was a node. We all ran up to the node. I hit the node. As the animation started, I screamed “Oh crap! I hit a lava pocket! Run!” into Vent. And they ran away, while shrieking IRL.
And that’s why this is probably worth more than ten bucks.

Speaking as a very casual player who doesn’t have time to wait for PUGs, soloable story mode for dungeons is a necessity for me. The dungeons take long enough for a family man who’s able to get online sparingly, I can’t afford to wait a 1/2 hour for the PUG to fill up.
I haven’t completed a single dungeon yet and am at the end of my personal story (finally). I’d prefer to see the Destiny’s Edge story from the beginning if possible, but I guess I’m willing to run Arah with a PUG just to finish the personal story and maybe start leveling an alt.
Please, Anet, fix this soon. You said you’d make the game everyone could play their own way.
Hey, try gw2lfg.com, really, it doesn’t take that long to get a group running. Sometimes in the ones people rarely do it may be half an hour or a bit more, but it’s possible to get a group easily with it and with luck you may even get inside a LF1M group and get it straight away.
There’s no point discussing expenses further, we didn’t buy it because we’re saving money, because it’s obvious we’re not.
The animation is awesome, the pick itself looks cool as hell and it’s LIMITED time, ok that a month long, but limited!
Eh, I had my farming times in GW2 but grew too tired of it (was never into it), some of my friends still do farm from time to time, but I made them more keen to simply have fun.
There’s tons and tons of stuff to do, but they’re not “as rewarding” so fewer people go outside this farming mode.
About tPvP, I completely disagree, you’re just not that used to fighting all the classes, having people to coordinate with and strategize etc, but I understand where you’re coming from.
Playing with friends on skype/ts/ventrillo/something helps too, good jokes always pop-up and you can have quality time, sometimes I even use it too much that I just want to go off-line and play on my own at my own fun standard a bit :p
I already heard a bit of older folks playing here in this forums, I personally don’t know any, but it’s nice to know they are here because when I get to that age I’ll be playing too!
Wait a bit, so… Is this WvW only or will it change daily/monthly server resets too?
If you can remember back to the very first time we had a week-long match the wvw reset was not in sync with the daily reset. They changed it so they would be at the same time.
Also, the WvW reset does not appear to be entirely automated as it usually takes 15-20 minutes for it to actually go through and the time varies from week to week.

Tip: Don’t start cutscene/dialogue until she is out of combat.
This works every time for me. It’s when people run directly to the middle of the room that she bugs out. If a guardian has hammer or staff, they can normally force her out of it. We had the npc at the end of CoE Path 1 bug out last night after we defeated Alpha where she just stood at the entrance to the room and not initiating the final cutscene to get our rewards. Our guardian used one of his hammer skills to un-bug her.
Would you mind saying which skill and how? Usually when we get bugged npc we bring it to mobs so it dies, but clearly in a case like that it’d be impossible and really frustrating.

Really? Who is the vendor? I already buy salvage kits from racial weapons vendors… I have tons of karma, I won’t spend a single silver on gathering tools anymore if I can get them with karma!
Crusader Patrick, a Heart vendor in Bloodtide Coast, sells the Mining Pick for 602 karma. It can mine everything, and has 25 uses.
Considering the 25 uses it’s rather annoying due to how much inventory it will take up, and WPing to him will offset a lot of the money you save.
Only if you refuse to buy them in bulk, which would be silly. A single daily buys a healthy amount.
Yeah, but like I said, due to the 25 uses each it will eat up a lot of inventory space, which may not be worth the lowered cost.
Well, there’s an easier solution.. A lot cheaper too. Just buy the one in Southsun Cave.
You have to start an event and after it’s done you have 30secs where you can buy 100 Oricalchum Mining Picks for 350 karma I believe.
@Seara: For me, atleast for the foreseeble future, it will take a while to get old… I mean, it’s just really awesome. As for sound effects, they aren’t that flashy so it’s spot on imo.
I really hate having to carry around a ton of picks and store karma picks in the bank all the time just because I’m a cheap kitten.
You’re a cheap kitten and yet you’re going to spend far more on a permanent pick than you’re likely to ever spend on picks anyway.

I am one too! I even avoid waypointing if I can and I won’t waste that much time on it, it doesn’t matter if I’m with 10 or 200 gold, I still dislike seeing that silver going away haha.
Still, I bought it and I don’t mind at all. It looks awesome, it’s unique and available only for this time and I don’t feel guilty mining everything, I feel awesome about it actually.
I know and understand this is all “feeling” and doesn’t really equate economically, but it’s fun like that.

I’m hoping for shattering ice animation heh at least for picks. As for harvesting-gathering tool, ice something-or-other would probably be better. Axe, hmm fire again would not be logically good lol But maybe after you chop it down the chopped part shatters :P
Actually the way they used to mine way way way back was by heating a surface area by fire and then flooding it with water thus cracking the stone due to the temp. differential.

Last months I spent basicly only on ranger (so do first months, but back then i was completly nooby). I regeared him and learnt to play the proper way. I’m not one of those guys claiming ranger is weak, they can’t kill anyone or thief is taking them down in less than a second on versus.
While ranger is pretty decent played the good way (and for sure pretty strong on 1vs1 due many evades) he has nothing to be in ‘’dream team’’ of eg. 5 people. Survivability isn’t at it’s highest (comparing to other classes), damage is on ‘’meh level’‘, and very poor group support. That’s what I meant, that certain things should be improved.
I’m sorry but have you ever seen a BM or trap ranger playing properly? They can do amazing stuff and actually people are constantly complaining about how strong they are.
