Since the raids came out I started rading of people complaining in the Verdant Brink map about having less people doing the events because the map was already filled with different parties for the raids. I have to agree with that, I was enjoying the events and having always people around grouping up, now, I had problems a few times to join my friends into the map since (as they told me) there were several groups for raids looking for people in the map.
I would love if the devs could moderate this a little bit more since the map is not made to lfg for raids but for events bosses and esploration. It was working great before the release of raids.
An instance where everyone interested into raids could go to group up and orgnize would be great, so we would not have players just standing there and doing nothing.

I hope the devs will take this into consideration.

There are actually some viable options already in game for a druid outfit, one of my friends went for this outfit http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/leathenornmale1.jpg with a different type of shoulders and the hood from the tarting equipment for the thief. You can try also the stalker and buccaneer chest armor, then there are other 2 hoodies and a hat/hood with the rubicon.
Anyway it’s true that the medium armor choices are not that wide, would be cool to see more specialization oriented armors …I would have loved a hood instead of shoulders for the druid spec completition..

Is it possible to create a squad as a commander and bring your squad to a personal story mission?
Me and my guild mates would like to play the story missions of hot together but we are too many for a simple party so I was thinking, if one of us takes the commander tag would it be possible to create a squad of more than 5 players and play together the personal story?

Beard disappears with Bladed Cowl

The beard is a distinctive trait of my character but if I use some of the head armors the beard disappears. Now, for some of them I could understand but for some others like the Bladed Cowl, that is soooo kitten cool, the beard disappears. I see this as a visual bug since there’s no point into hiding the beard if the piece of armor shows that part of the face…
Please Anet, fix it!

I know that is not so important for the game but I really miss the rock paper scissors emote from gw1… Probably me and my guild were just some of the few using it to decide what content we wanted to do next… but also, it was cute, you could go around hugging other players and spread the love. I would love to have it back and maybe something else like interactions between players like high five and so on.
I hope this reaches the devs ears. Please Anet?

Asking is important from our side! I belive that if they hear that even more players are interested more in this function than in some other stuff they could think about focusing their efforts on the build saving system.
Also waiting a few months doesn’t make sense since even if a skill gets nerfed it’s still there and has a code related to it.
The thing that is taking time could be that they want to have all the armor weapons and so on integrated into the system, but we started to request this from the release of the game… Now is the right time for them to implement it in the game.

Can we expect build saving now? PLEASE?

Now, the Reaper is amazing and what I really would like now are some scythe skins for greatswords!
The Dervish is not planned for future expansions right? And we have already Scythe skins for staffs, so why not for greatswords too?
Please Devs? It would be so amazing and it would complete the appearance of my Dervish…coff coff …I mean Reaper! XD
Having some of the designs from Gw1 coming back as skins on the TP would be great and I’m sure a lot of people, me included will buy them all!
If the same skin for the staffs would be for the greatsword it’s even better! So it looks like the reaper is using the same weapon even if he swaps between them.

Also, what about the Destroyer Scythe staff skin? Do anyone know anything about it now that the expansion is out? …..would look great on a greatsword <u<

armor set related slots(Suggestion)

Now we have even more possibilities for builds and with builds come armors. I would love to have 6 slot of inventory just for armor, like an additional bag but just for it with a button like the weapons swap that instantly switches the armor in the “bag” with the armor equipped.
Having to carry the additional armor into the common bags gets annoying and confusing when you have many of them but having armor related slots, separated from the bags would help a lot IMHO, also the switching would help to speed up the process of setting up for raids, dungeons and so on.
This could also be integrated into the BUILD SAVING system that we are soooo looking forward to have in game.

Also we can then have 1 slot for free with the account and if you want more you could buy them from the Black Lion.
I would also suggest to implement it as a mastery, since I like to unlock stuff

The problem is, your post would of been fine if you just would of posted how happy you were with the new expansion.

I love this expansion and I haven’t started the story or went to the new maps yet!
I have so many things to discover, just after logging in I had to take some time looking into all the specialization system, new skins, action camera, and collections…oh the collections…the collectionist me is going apekitten on all of this. And the Legendary journey! So happy about this one, I will finally enjoy making a legendary
Also I have now meaning into going around and play some content that I wasn’t playing so much because I’m unlucky and I felt it to not be so rewarding, but now, hero points! And world bosses!!!
All my friends that started to play the game only from a few weeks and were not so sure about it now are overwhelmed, they are all so happy about the changes and I’m so proud to let them discover this amazing adventure °^-^°

I continue to find blade shards and I’m not interested into the backpack…I would love to give them away to my friends that need them but they are account… bound so, I thought, can delete them…yeah but what if they are going to add a shard sink to the game?
Anyone else is interested in this?

With Hot I’m thinking about updating my guild with a guild hall but what about my Guildies that don’t have Hot? Will they be able to access the guild hall and its content?

So I have something important to ask: PLEASE, for all the helmet skins on the Asuras, let the ears show or put in the option for us to decide if we want to show the ears or not!
Same goes for the beards, don’t turn them off if they are showing under the helmet.

So, I was really sad when the activities were put on rotation… I waited for so long for them to be permanent again but nothing happened..
I keep hearing, when people are bored about the standard contents, “Oh I wish I could play Keg Brawl but it’s not available today…”
I would love to play those with my guild mates again and show them my friends new to the game!
Of course I could write down the rotation and be in game the right day to do so, but unfortunately me and my friends have to struggle to be all together online so catching the rotation of a specific game is really hard for us…
I understand that the rotation is to concentrate the players on just one game at a day but not all the people like all the games! It was working before, there were players enjoying these activities, but we had to renounce to our fun because of people always complaining about little issues ….always…
That happened also for SAB.
If it’s a cool content just leave it as it is! Maybe if you have time to improve it you can switch it in the future but don’t just remove it and leave a big hole like this..
So, PLEASE, PLEASE Anet make the Activities permanent again!

Guild mates yellow dot on map issue

Sometimes if I’m playing with Guild mates in the team their dot on the map goes from blue to yellow and when the go out of my mini map I can’t see in which direction they are while I can still see the blue dots.

One thing that I didn’t like of doing personal story quests with my friends was that I couldn’t read the texts of the personal story by myself and every time the one that activated the instance had to wait for the others to read before going forward. That is really annoying and it gets frustrating when someone goes forward by mistake and you have to go back or you will lose parts of the story.
I would like to see this improved in Hot, giving all the party members, not only the one that opened the instance, the option to go through the text if they talk to the right character.
Also I had many time the problem where one found out something cool or funny talking to an npc in the mission but the other party members weren’t able to see it..
Since Gw2 is a game where you can play with friends and there’s the option to accept the same story step as your friends then it should be implemented to get a better experience.

I really miss from Gw1 the feeling that if you go random in the final maps you end up killed. I know it wasn’t that strict but still you had to master your profession and know how to move in an hostile environment. The Realm of Torment for example was challenging, if you pulled he wrong group of mobs or get too many you could be wiped out, while here in Gw2 I feel like even going solo is easy peasy, the only issue are a few events that need more than one player to be completed, and that’s ok for me for the maps under level 80 but at level 80 you should be challenged more. I wish that this will be back with HoT, and I hope for an update on the difficulty in all the high level zones.
I mean it’s mainly about the number of mobs and veteran and the power of their attacks.

It surely is tricky in an open world but at least rising the difficulty a bit wouldn’t be a big issue for those who roam solo.

From what I’ve heard about the beta the difficulty of the mobs was nerfed down…why is that so? You want players to group up then keep the difficulty high enough to do so. Those who want to solo all the time will find a way to do it…like in Gw1.

What you guys think about it?

The Juvenile Fire Wyvern special ability “Consuming Flame” is difficult to place in the right spot.
When I activate it, it isn’t placed where the foe is but a few steps away so if the foe moves in the wrong direction it’s easier for him to get outside of the fire area.
Since the cooldown is 35s then it would be a good idea to make it a target area or to fix the area positioning when you activate it

Dear Anet, today I had the pleasure to try again some of the specializations.
The Scrapper with the hammer is really interesting, I’m always searching for combo fields to release the destruction XD
The Druid with the new pets has some cool combinations and let you expand your focus on other players too.
The Daredevil is awesome, now it behaves as expected, is really fun and not frustrating anymore to play. Also the elite skill is so useful!
And the reaper..oh the reaper…naield it!

Obviously some polishing is still needed but you already did a great job!

I think that nearly all the thieves had to deal with this issue after the update moths ago, not knowing when the shadowstep will work and when not.
I’m talking about every kind of shadowstep, with stealing, shortbow utilities and so on.
Before the nerf if the target area was green you could shadowstep there if it was red you coudn’t, but now, it is so confusing! You place the target and it’s green but after you have activated the skill you see “No valid path to the target” and most of the time the skill get’s the reloading time anyway.
It’s tiresome when it happens in PvE but in PvP or WvW, if you’re running from a zerg or you really need to use the right combination to make your build roll, it gets really frustrating.
There is noway to be 100% sure that the shadowstep will work if you see the green target because maybe there’s a really small gap in the way and that will stop you from using your skill.
I feel like now I have to study all the little gaps in the terrain and test them so that I don’t get the surprise in difficult situations…
So, the point is, please either fix the issue where sometimes the shadowstep goes over big gaps and sometimes not, don’t stop the skill if the target is green, don’t let the skill reload if there’s no path to the target or give us a better visual way to understand if the shadowstep is possible or not.

Wouldn’t be interesting to have some skills, mechanics that you acquire from the Order you join in your story?
I’ll break down my ideas:

Order Skills(Elite skills)
The Order of Whispers could give you massive stealth or some cool sneaky attack.
The Vigil could give you support from the sky. With ships and cannons.
From the Durmand Priory you could get the knowlege for a powerful magic or a kitten Laser.
Those skills would be available in PvE and WvW and could have a long casting time, massive impact on the battlefield and could need a multiple casting to be effective.
By multiple casting I mean that you have the standard red target on the ground with the number of casters needed in the center. When someone casts the Skill you can see the circular area of effect on the ground, white if it’s from your faction if in WvW but not from your order, red if it’s from the enemies and green if it’s from your faction and your order. On the inside of the simbol there should be the number of casted needed with the capping like circle filling up for each caster. once the circle is full you can activate ie and for example fire.
To limit the impact of these Skills there should be a really long activation time, a big radius around the spell where you can’t cast another one of the same type and a system that prevents other players from casting if they are not needed.

Also I know, the orders would be on each side in WvW, and that’s the fun part, you can find someone trying to activate the spell kill them, finish the casting yourself and have the cannon or firepower on your side.

Mechanics and Missions(WVW)
Another interesting thing to have would be some order related Missions in WvW like sabotage the defences in the Keeps with the Order of Whispers, deploy a battalion of Vigil NPCs to protect a side of a keep or guiding them to breach the walls. And finally research some hidden catacombs to harness the power of a Boss to use to attack or defend a Keep.

That’s it from my side, I woudl like to hear from you what you think about these ideas and your thoughts about how to improve them.

So yeah, here it is my question. (Yeah I know it’s been presented already but mine is just a question to see what the other players think about it in a lore perspective)

Do you like the name Scrapper for the Eng elite specialization?
I personally was so happy to hear speculations about it to be the Forge, Scrapper seems like a joke to me.
Talking about the lore, Scrapper is a term used for a rank of charr, so why using the same term for something else? Is the Scrapper E.S. somewhat connected to the charr ranking? What if my Eng is not a charr?
And what if he is! The Gw2 Wiki reports this in the Charr lore “Scrapper is the catch-all term for a warband on punishment duty, no matter what their official rank.” (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Legions_of_the_Charr)
Does that means that Eng that take on the Scrapper E.S. will be labelled as on punishment duty by the charr?
Will we be introduced in any way to the E.S. with the story then?
Also I see all the other names : Reaper, Chronomancer, Tempest, Berserker(that’s a little confusing too but sounds good XD), Daredevil, Dragonhunter, Herald….Scrapper for me doesn’t fit in at all..

I just checked the Gw2 Hot site and the Eng E.s is still on (Coming Soon!) so maybe there’s still hope?

Please leave comments like “who cares about the name, what’s important is the gameplay” aside, we know it already and this is not a post about it.

I know there’s the macro option but I heard about many people being banned just for a Wave macro…
