I invite friends by toon name and usually they get the invite no matter what alt they are on. IE I invite Bobs Charr but bob is on his mesmer(Bobs Mess) and he still gets the invite.

had to restart GW2 again and TP is busted again but didnt need to use it so I didnt restart again that time.

I was mining the rich ori in lost shore when a charr suddenly appeared mined the node and then dissapeared again. A friend and I were discussing weather he had this toon as an alt parked there to quick mine it every 24 hours (or what ever the reset is) or if he was using a teleporting bot.

logged back in again today and its busted again … will have to restart to use the TP

took two times of starting the game to have access to the TP today. Still waiting on answers

mail suppression is also annoying when I am in a group and trying to pass out food to everyone I send two then have to wait to send more I wish there was some kind of system to give people items directly …. you know some kind of TRADE window

So last night I had to restart 6 times before it worked and it took twice tonight. Any info on this?

I occasionally get the following issues with the Trading post

1. on gem store in the upper left where the gem icon and amount show. this box will be empty

2. on trading post in buy screen buy button greyed out

3. on trading post on item lists no popup

4. on sell items screen screen completely blank

when this happens I simply ALT+F4 out then reload and usually its working if not I do it again until it does.

I would like to see an account bound consumable item that would be worth say 10k exp that is purchasable with a single skill point and perhaps another one worth 120k exp for 10 skill points.

According to the wiki from level 0 to 80 takes 4,860,359 exp This means one would either have to spend either 487 skill points on single skill point items or 405 skill points on 10 point items to level all the way up. So this is pretty much not a easy pass to 80 (tho not a barred method)

The vendor for this item could be in an area pretty much only accessible to level 80 characters to prevent usage by new players. However the scaling of exp and some shady math on my part says if you only purchased the exp items you would only reach level 25 before the exp gain from it would not be enough to get another item.

I would not want to see this item in the gem shop as it introduces a “pay to win”ish item but as a skill point item it basiclly allows you to convert exp on one toon (probably lvl 80) to exp to another at a pretty low rate roughly 25:1 or 20:1

I’m wondering the same but the official FAQ does have some answers but what it doesn’t include is server population vs invited friends ie can we be assured to have friends we invite on the same server we are on?

example:
item: level 27 honed sword
tool tip value: 28 copper
sell it to the vendor and he gives 28 copper for it.
then click buyback
same item is listed at being purchasable for 28 copper (just what he payed for it)
hover over the item and now the tool tip says the value is 2 silver 21 copper .

I’ve spent time in Divinity’s Reach and Ive never heard “Sex sounds” not a single “OUCH you’re on my hair” or “oh no leg cramp” not even so much as a single “Stop that it tickles”. So I’m not sure what you are talking about. I mean without a single “Can I go back to my book now?” how can you possibly think it is full of sex sounds?

While I can see both sides of the argument I would like to point out that I cant think of a single person who I know who runs dungeons who would not like an add-on that would pop up and tell you which paths in the dungeon are bugged before you went it.

A guy in my guild has had one for a long time we joked that it would be a major status symbol if when/if they introduce player housing someone gathers people with those tonics and decorates their entire house with them

when I goto the main page it has a login button but if I login there and then come to the forums the forums do not register me as logged in. the same seems to work in reverse but since there is nothing that you can access from the front page that you cant get to from inside the forums I always skip logging in there and just login at the forums.

wait a minute … when I flip stuff on the TP I always buy for 1 more than anyone else and sell for at least 1 less than anyone else … how is this hurting anyone who is actually truing to buy or sell stuff
If I’m flipping iron ingots and you are selling them I’ll buy them for more than anyone else that’s good for you and if you are buying them I’m selling them for less than anyone else that’s also good for you.

If anything this practice is doing more to normalize the TP it is getting the buy and sell price as close to the same as possible while not loosing money to the taxs

On an only slightly related note my guild did the same thing saved up 100 gold to get someone the commander title for the large group function and other features but after we got it we were not happy with the way it worked out. So not sure exactly why you guys are after it but you might want to do some more research to make sure it will do what you are wanting it to.

I wondered this myself I believe the answer is yes as there have been successful attempts at data mining.
I am not sure how much anet would approve of you using their audio for something other than the game.
I am wondering because I want to find the audio for death shroud and play it backwards because it sounds like it is something that has been reversed already.

While in Arah I got a Shaman’s Ring after the dungeon I went to salvage it and it wouldn’t salvage so I figured I needed to restart the game and just called it a night today when I login I discover the ring to be soul bound and still not salvageable

To that I say NO! that is a mechanic put in games to force group wipes and group wipes force running back which is nothing more than a time sink.
If my group has someone down and we can afford to have someone else stop attacking to res the downed player it is just stupid to not be able to.

force each toon to make enough gold to buy the gems for their own bank space. and or separate items by row marked eg top row stuff belongs to bob 2nd row stuff belongs to bill etc

Salvaging from karma items is turning karma into gold. Which is why its not allowed.

I understand this but I can put a rune on a piece of non karma gear and when I get better non karma gear salvage the armor to get the rune back and put it on the new armor.

BUT

If I put that same rune on a piece of KARMA gear its stuck there … permanently no way to retrieve it.

I think the point of this thread is to express a displeasure with loosing an upgrade because you choose to put it in karma gear, and to make a request for a method of at least removing the upgrades we put in ourselves.

or make salvaging a karma item ONLY remove the upgrade and make preexisting upgrades on karma (the ones that come on it when you purchase it) static so people cant just buy karma gear and salvage runes off.

Alternatively adding a new item “Rune Puller” that would only remove upgrades from items and remove saving runes from the list of functions of the salvage kit would be great because very rarely do I want the rune anyway.

Going from Melchor’s leap to the southern tip of cursed shore I have never gotten more than 8 enemy types on the daily kill variety

So back in Guild Wars 1 it was known that diminishing Returns existed. and ANet said to avoid it to simply play through a zone instead of killing the same types of mobs over and over again.

Fast forward to GW2 the Orr zones only have a couple of enemy types.

I start in Melchor’s Leap and work my way through the zone hitting gathering nodes and killing mobs and doing every DE I run across once I get across the zone I move into Cursed Shore and do repeat the process of moving down the zone this usually makes for 2-3 hours of enjoyable play time but usually about half way through Cursed shore I start having more mob kills between each drop (I counted 18 at one point) and even when I do get drops after that point it has a large habit of being porous bones.

So I am playing EXACTLY how they said to play to avoid DR before and I seem to be hitting it now.

Any word or thoughts on this?

I was running around in a group with 2 guys we started in Malchor’s Leap and went through cursed shore getting all the oricalchum/orrian/omnom nodes and doing all DEs we ran across.

They each had the exalted explorers gear (native 3% magic find) and 5 superior runes of the pirate(more MF) 1 rune of the traveler(more MF) opal accessorys(even more MF) they topped their gear off with MF weapons and the MF consumable from the gem store.

I had nothing adding MF

Over the course of about an hours time they had each gotten 3-4 rare items and many green items. I got several blues and greens

We repeated this for 4 days in a row with similar outcomes every night.

I never got a single rare drop

After 4 days of that I dumped money into just the runes they had and put them on lvl 80 karma gear.

That night on the same run I got 2 rares. followed the next with 3 and last night with 2.

I would add to this and request at least the ability to take money OR items

I have heard tell that bots are using the TP (tho I personally do not know the validity of this statement)

but if it is so and it is a large issue (at least as large as the person mentioning it to me made it sound to be) couldn’t it be solved by adding a captcha to the sell screen?

I don’t like this idea as I personally like to play the TP and the other day found myself with more than 1000 items for sale. tho I do have an alternative idea that Ill post in a different thread.

When I go to the trading post the take all button is great if iM getting crafting mats but when I have a buy order in to buy low and sell high I like to wait till I have all that I ordered to pick them up so it would be nice to take individual stacks from the TP instead of just everything

I haven’t noticed this but I have discovered several that never surface but still attack me. right to the north of the maze in Cursed shore is one that has a tendency to do so

The other day I got 2 Ruined ore from a Mithril node with Orichalcum Pick I do not think this is the first time its happened either as Ori is the only level tool I buy now and I occasionally find ruined ore in my bags.

I should have made sure to point out that I am more than satisfied with the current “endgame” I am currently working my way to 100% completion of all the zones Ive been to I am purposely avoiding other zones so when I eventually switch to an alt I will have new content to explore. I’m also working on my crafting and my guild has nightly events that are different every night. One night we get together and do jump quests, the next we do renown hearts. Another is dungeon night we litterly have a different event every night of the week and are working to having an A week and a B week. I have plenty to do and am having a blast doing it.

In wow when you hit max level you start running raids to get gear. You run the same raid over and over in hopes of getting the gear you want. and when you finally do get it its only a matter of time before it needs replaced with the new best thing. and this is called “Endgame content”

In GW2 we don’t have large scale raids as endgame but after reviewing what it takes to make the Legendaries like the Bifrost, it seems to me like that would be just as much work as a raid. I mean just take a look through what it takes to make it

I dare anyone to tell me that that is easier than Raiding. and a good deal of the work to be done is made vastly easier by doing it with a partner or group.

Personally Im fine with Legendary Crafting alone being endgame*

I think I discovered something about the flesh worm that I would like someone to confirm.
it appears that after summoning a flesh worm if you use necrotic transversal it not only counts as a kill on the daily kill count but it can also count as a type

In graphical options check the box for “Best Texture Filtering” while it wont make it perfect it will help

I too was planning to finish tonight I needed several WvW kills and like 20 salvages….. really quite irked about this.

alright I know its been nearly a month since I started this thread but last night I finished Cursed Shore and got a level 76 exotic chest and a level 78 exotic trident. while it was great to see exotics popup on the screen it was a huge disappointment to get a reward that I had surpassed before I even came into the zone. In other zones at least the reward is at the mid point of the zones leveling but for the endgame zone that is level 80 to even start it feels like a huge let down to relieve under level gifts. Its kinda like giving a 15 year old a GI Joe for his birthday while any gift is a good thing its still a disappointment.

Last night I reached the part of the story where I can use the mirror to lure out the eye so Trahearne “introduces” me to Carys and Tegwen and they act like they never met me before even tho it was me who saved Carys then helped her save Tegwen. I traveled with them to the skritt to get the mirror. I was there when Tegwen got sucked into it.

and to make it worse the next thing Carys says is that SHE helped Trahearne rescue Tegwen from the mirror.

WTF!?! That no good stuck up kitten* Trahearne is now stealing my credit?! He wasn’t even there!

I Chose to NOT go to Trahearne with the issue of Tegwen’s trip into the mirror. I Decided that an asura who had been studing portals longer than Trahearne , had been alive. Would be better suited to save Tegwen than Trahearne who had been studying a large area that might be where where Tegwen went.

I would have preferred if the story could have been effected by what Ive done in the past.

I wish to make a toon named “Zho’phaq Ingwat” I just wonder how long I would get to keep the name.

I honestly think that the additional copper being added is not a ploy to get you to read it its an attempt at a preemptive maneuver to keep their mail from being automatically filtered by A-net. When I think of how to build a filter I would probably ignore mails with attachments or gold because those would be less likely to (until now) to be spam
