The reasons that there are zergs in every server and every tier is that it’s efficient and often necessary.
Larger groups usually win the big fights. You may think, yeah, well my 20-man guild group wiped a 40-man zerg… great, so how much easier would it have been if you were in a 40-man zerg of your own?
On top of that, large zergs have on-demand portals, veils, pulls/knockbacks/warding/other cc, might stacks, healing fields, swiftness, retaliation, protection, regeneration, condition removal, condition stacking, siege equipment (both normal and superior) and supplies to build/fully repair just about anything.
The reasons to not run a zerg include:
-Slower response times, (but the zerg has perma-swiftness, so this is only really a problem when the enemy server golem-rushes a keep and you con’t have a waypoint nearby while you’re on the opposite side of the map)
-An organized opponent splitting their forces to hit multiple objectives (but, to be honest, this is pretty rare because the mega 80+ man zergs just roll through one group, then go roll the other group almost every time (if they have good scouts))
-Siege has a huge AoE cap (not really a problem for zergs unless they’re looking at 8-10, or more, manned (superior) arrow carts that can’t be hit from outside the tower/keep. This doesn’t happen too often, as it requires enough people to stay close to the tower/keep to man the siege at a moment’s notice.
So, without any big issues to deter the zergs, the only thing limiting them is needing scouts to tell the zerg where it’s needed, and the map’s population cap.
edit: Just to be perfectly clear, I don’t particularly enjoy the zergfest. Having small 2v2, up to 10v10 engagements is much more fun (even if you’re a little outnumbered), right up until your 5-10 man group finds an enemy 60+ man group.

3 times so far for me tonight, always the same error.
And for the third time tonight

So… happened to me twice tonight. Got to WvW for about 3 minutes each time with an hour in the queue in between, this is easily one of the best features of the culling patch.
We either need a quick rejoin for people that crash due to these stupid errors, or, preferably, a fix. An Anet response would be nice either way though.
I just crashed in bay less than 5 minutes after reset, now I get probably 3+ hours in queue.
I’ve gotten the same crash quite a few times, and it’s always within a second or two of going into or coming out of the water with a large group. It doesn’t seem to matter for me if it’s in Bay, in the lake, or down by south camp or water camp, but it is ALWAYS in the water.
I would suspect this is related to what is causing models to not load weapons/helm, and still showing breathing masks after they come out of the water.
I can’t wait until we start hearing “I have my ballista/cannon skill at 5, get off and let me use it” simply because I chose to play more than 1 character.
WvW is built around people who want to play 1 character and run around in a mindless zerg, and the game is set up such that it is discouraged to do anything else. Yeah, the rewards might be minor, but they’re still there, and while I’ll still play all of the classes and run around in small groups in WvW because it’s more fun, I know that I’ll always be at a disadvantage in the game simply because the developers can’t/won’t cater to people who want to play like me.
Please do this…
I don’t sPvP much, in fact, I spend 95% of my time in WvW, but occasionally, I want to jump into an sPvP match, and the only thing I ever find is people wanting to duel and not actually play the map as designed.
Whether in sPvP or in WvW/PvE gear, and preferably in both, we need a place to duel, and it’s a little ridiculous that it doesn’t exist.
Wow… definitely didn’t read this, or I wouldn’t have been excited about it.
Apparently “alt friendly” to ANet means you get to earn everything again on your alts. Have all 8 classes? Enjoy earning everything 7 extra times.
Let’s say I play 4 times as much WvW as someone else, but I play on 8 characters… why is it that they should have more of these WXP bonuses than I do? I agree with one of the previous posters in that I wish ANet would have just said “very few things are account bound, so just play the one character because we’ll punish you for having more.”
I’m quite sad to hear about this, there is no excuse for this happening. (We definitely have more than 80 people on your map though.)
To be completely honest, I was a little disappointed in the stat choices we had with exotic gear, it’s not bad, but there were times when I was running numbers thinking “wow, power/precision/vitality would be perfect here” …but alas, I just had to rearrange half of the rest of my gear.
Now that it’s limited even more with the Ascended gear, I haven’t wanted to really do any build-crafting with it unless it fits into something I already have like Berserker’s or Soldier’s. This is a great way for ANet to nerf builds that they think are unbalanced in WvW without actually touching the build in PvE (unless they make the content harder). It’s only going to get worse as they introduce more types of ascended gear without as much variety in stats as we have with exotics.
We had some nice duels going with a few people from Kaening, until they decided that they should start stomping anyone who was downed and kill people trying to revive them. Classy.
Any Temple of Balthazar open on a US server?
TC looks like it’s bugged.
There is no server thats made it further than T3 on their own including TC.
I’d like to hear what transfers TC got to get them from T3 to T2. TC was always one of the hardest, if not the hardest, server to get in to due to being full, and we didn’t gain any guilds that suddenly changed us from a T3 to a T2 server. Unless you have an example to prove me wrong (which is possible), I’d really appreciate it if you didn’t try to write our server’s history for us.
We’ve gotten our fair share of transfers since we’ve gotten to tier 2, but we didn’t have a whole lot of help getting into tier 2 in the first place. We definitely have more WvW guilds now, and more people, but it’s nothing compared to the difference SoR has had in the last month or so (and I’m perfectly fine with the people we have, I don’t want to sacrifice the community we’ve built in order to progress up the ladder – no implications meant toward anyone here, just saying the we don’t want to win at all costs).
I’m also not complaining about the fact that SoR has more people, there are just some posts in here about them being all high and mighty at the top of tier 2, and in reality, we’re just not that impressed. They are able to swarm everything, and it seems like the answer to any problem they encounter is just keep getting more people until it’s enough since we’ve been forced to learn how to counter the tactics and organization they beat us with when we first got here.
^ Honestly some of the posts just make me wonder if I’m in T3 all of a sudden, as a part of a certain arch rival server of ours!
I don’t think many of these were even in W3 or on TC when we faced BG/SoR during Orb era. This “spawn camping” is nothing compared to what happened back then. Most of us got tougher after being camped for not an hour, but days! So yeah…
There should be WvWvW history classes lol!
So for those in despair, “Why do we fall?… So we can learn to pick ourselves up!”
I never thought anyone would make me miss seeing Fort Aspenwood. But yeah, I’m not an original TCer, but I was already here for both the Blackgate and the SoR matches before, and you’re right, we’ve seen worse and it’s never stopped us before.
That chat log. Is that really how you guys feel about us SoR?
I was thinking the same thing. That chat log is super depressing
Yeah, pretty much everyone on TC just hates you guys. We had a really even 3-way T2 match-up going until SoR became a huge bandwagon server.
Like everyone says, we don’t have aspirations of being a tier one server, we couldn’t care less which tier we were actually in, but we all find the fairly even, competitive match-ups to be really fun, and you guys ruined that, then held back in tier 2 at the end of last week to avoid trying to move up to tier 1 where you clearly belong.
We find that for the most part, we aren’t outmatched in open world fights, or even fights in keeps. Both servers have wiped each other with superior numbers at times, and we’ve both pulled out some wins when numbers weren’t in our favor, but the biggest reason you guys are so far ahead is because you have far, far superior coverage.
Don’t get me wrong, TC will never give up fighting, we just really want you guys gone, and we harbor a lot of ill-will towards you for turning the (what should have been really fun and mostly even) tier 2 match-up completely upside down.
This would be fun, so long as you aren’t dueling on a map where there is a queue, and you are actually willing to stop dueling and help your server out when it is needed.
This was the problem last time I saw a dueling group, we had a queue for a map, and were fighting to hold a keep, while the people that were dueling refused to come help. You really shouldn’t be in WvW if you aren’t willing to help out.
Hey Choo, good fight in garrison tonight… just curious though, how many times did you guys get wiped?
I would also like to know i placed multiple sieges in our keep built them came back 20 mins and 10 acs and 2 catapults despawned. Yet some of the siege i built remained
Its been said that siege placed on the ground doesn’t despawn.
Yet the siege is still despawning after being built within 10-20 mins.. which is odd because only a few despawn
I’m sure someone will blame the quaggans soon, however, I’ve seen siege despawn right in front of me, when it was at full health, both when it was in an area unaffected by the quaggans, and when we owned all of the quaggan camps, within 20 minutes of it being built. I’ve also seen siege get ignored for well over an hour and not despawn.
Thanks for taking the time to write this up. I’ve been on TC for quite a while now, but after my first guild disbanded on a different server, I spent quite a bit of September jumping around to different servers to find a good community.
I heard good things on the forums about TC, so I figured I would give it a few weeks, but I liked what I saw immediately. Then, that Blackgate match came along only a couple weeks after i joined, and, having been on a couple different servers that had to fight HoD in their prime, I thought I knew what was coming from our people, but I was thoroughly impressed with the way everyone kept fighting all week.
Honestly, if you’re looking for a WvW server that fights hard, never gives up, and where most everyone strives to work together, Tarnished Coast is the place to be.
Sanctum of Rall should just be renamed “Sanctum of Portal Bombs” or something to that extent….
Why not simply remove the random mobs and PvE events from WvW servers? That would save a lot of server space in and of its self. There is no reason to have random PvE in a PvP environment.
By removing the 100+ random mobs that have no purpose at all that would have to give Anet some additional resources and use those extra resources to reduce issues with player rendering.
I am only talking about the random mosquito and trash mobs that just sit there all day taking up resources that could be better allocated to the primary purpose of the server PvP.
Yes please!
I would +1 this post all day long if I could.
I play my thief a lot, and I preferred the trial culling. As it is now, when two large groups clash, I can go quite deep into an enemy zerg right now without being seen to chase that squishy target that shouldn’t have been out front in the first place, so I’m sure they really don’t appreciate the current system. More than anything though, once I dispatch my first target, I don’t want to have to turn around and run back to the front lines of the fight where all the AoE is being dropped just so I can see another enemy to target when I know I’m completely surrounded.
Necromancers, guardians and warriors are so overpowered, I can’t instantly kill them with my glass cannon thief and if they cc me, then I have almost no chance in a fight, it just isn’t fair.
Then there are the elementalists, they can just soak all of the damage with all those boons up and and that water attunement, and even if I manage to down one, they just pop back up and run inside their tower/keep so their friends can res them. Even if I burn all of my initiative trying to kill one, they can just run away and I can’t catch them. I though MY class was supposed to be based on mobility… now even rangers and necromancers have the same passive movespeed, and some classes can even have perma-swiftness.
Well, at least no one else has stealth… wait, mesmers have stealth too? And decoys to distract and damage me? And other illusions that can attack me while the mesmer is at a safe distance? And they can quickly put a bunch of stacks of confusion on me so my fast attack speed just burns through my health while I can’t find the actual player?
On top of that, how come every other class/build has so much more cc than my d/d thief? All I have is a cripple, unless I use venoms or traps which take away from other useful utilities that I need for defensive purposes, like daggerstorm or thieves guild for when I run into more than 1 or 2 other people.
Also, why does every other class have access to a 1200 range (or even 1500 range) weapon with multiple attacks, even a supposedly melee class like warriors…heck, even the guardian has TWO attacks at 1200 range, not even including their 1200 range on tome of wrath). All I have is one ability, clusterbomb, which takes 25% (20% when traited) of my initiative for each attack? It’s so easy to run out, then I have to be well inside everyone else’s range to do any damage in a ranged fight.
And I haven’t even gotten to damage. Did I mention that I have less than 13,000 health and only 916 toughness? Do you know how fast other people’s attacks go through my health bar? It’s pretty much non-existent. All I have is a couple of 3-4 second stealths to avoid attacks, and hopefully people haven’t stacked too many conditions on me. Also, if I get hit and jump into stealth, hopefully I don’t dodge back into something like a meteor shower, each blast takes nearly 40% of my health!
There are things that are difficult, no, impossible to deal with in this game….I am quitting until thieves are buffed.
I just don’t comprehend the damage you claim to be taking from a thief… I just picked up an engineer, leveled from 2 to 11 in WvW so far. I’ve been ambushed by a couple of glass cannon thieves, and even I have survived a couple of CnD+Steal+Backstab combos… maybe the thieves had terrible gear, I don’t know.
I can tell you that my level 80 thief in a full glass cannon build (with level 80 yellows cause I can’t afford exotics on 6 characters) still takes more than that combo to down other people who aren’t also full glass cannon builds.
This also leads me to believe a couple more things. First, you aren’t ever looking around you. You can almost always see thieves coming if you don’t spend all of your time looking forward. While they are very fast to catch up to someone, their stealth is actually quite short. Second, you’re probably roaming around by yourself. If you aren’t willing to accept that you might be instantly killed by someone you never saw coming, you really, really shouldn’t ever be alone in WvW.
On top of that, thieves are amazing at 1v1s, 1v2s even 1v3s… unless you’re only killing yaks and capping sentries, why are you running around with less than 5 people? Five people ought to be able to kill a thief (Read as: 5 characters are able to kill a thief, the players ought to be able to accomplish that). Sure, I’ve taken supply camps without help, or, more often, with only 1 or 2 other people (not just on my thief), but it certainly wasn’t quick, and if someone from the other server had showed up, I probably would’ve been killed (or at least been forced to run away) pretty easily.
So, from my experience, on both sides of this, and as a fairly competent player (I would like to think so at least…), you have to be under-leveled, under-geared, and/or under-experienced in WvW.
Back to a tie… setting up a very exciting match!
Dear SoR Norn Guardian that I finished off in SoR BL about 20 minutes ago,
I know it would be impossible to actually find out who you were, but I looted a small wintersday present off of you, and I pulled an unbreakable choir bell out of it. Thank you!
Regards,
The lucky guy that didn’t get knocked back by your wave of light!
It’s still really early, but nonetheless, TC is currently in FIRST!
Sorry.
I don’t WvW much. I didn’t know it costed all that. All I know is, a friend of ours said she could get us the vistas, she dropped a portal and we went in!
EDIT: Tried sending some gold, selan. Hopefully you got it. Apologies once again for the trouble.
You might want to tell your friend to knock it off before you all get bans because of it.
I know we’ve been particularly angry when a few miscreants on FA or CD have exploited their way into our stuff.
Usually the people doing it whether they be from FA, CD, or TC know better, yet they do it anyways. We really need to discourage this behavior as a community since ANet doesn’t seem very keen on just fixing the buildings/terrain.
All that’s happening is that a mesmer is porting us in to grab PoIs/vistas for world completion. We’ve failed to get the Cliffside vista several times due to people arrowcarting the portal. :P It’s totally preventable. We can’t glitch through walls or anything or we’d have all the PoIs already. And on the off chance that we cap a place we immediately leave to grab the next PoI.
Don’t worry, we’re not actually trying to take the place. There are only a few of us, after all.
Oh, well that just makes it all better, right? Doesn’t matter that you just reset the upgrades and removed all of their defensive siege?
I just hopped into FABL to see if we really had people trying to exploit anything so we could tell them to knock it off and report them, and ran into a few members of both TSP and JEST. All they were doing was the breakout event.
On a side note, this forum is a joke. I think they just infract any post that contains the word “exploit” and a name or guild tag. So I guess this post will probably be another point for me tonight
sorry, but we wer 6 people plus commander with stream seeing them glitching trough the walls at longview and the door and the cliff.
Yeah, checked back after my post and they were in Longview. Unfortunately I couldn’t catch them there… everyone on FA was too busy trying to kill me!
I talked to them for a few minutes, they claimed that “they were just getting POIs” and it didn’t matter cause “this is a for srs game, yo”… so apparently they don’t really care and don’t see anything wrong with it.
I at least got some screens of the conversation to email to anet.

Hey GoF, welcome to tier 3.
Just out of curiosity, before you took Askalion Hills on CD BL earlier, you had a failed attempt where you broke down the wall with a few catapults, then you got pushed back and you all backed into a corner of the keep wall.
May I ask why you all stacked up there? We aren’t really sure if you were trying for a portal bomb, or trying to turtle in the corner and use the 5-target aoe cap to your advantage…?
The part that I’m worried about is how lax TC has gotten over the last few weeks. It’s been pretty easy, no offense to FA and CD, their populations just aren’t there to challenge us a majority of the day. We’ve gotten to where no one is watching enemy movements and no one’s staying at keeps and towers watching out. There have been several times lately that I’ll walk into a tower of ours and there isn’t a single piece of siege placed. We’ve been able to get away with it these last few matches, but that won’t work in T2. We can’t just zerg around and take any objective we wish and go on our merry way, we’ll have to take an objective and make sure we can hold it against all odds before we move on. We’ll have to starve enemy supply before we take a keep or tower. We’ll have to make sure our keeps and towers are getting supply. All of this has been low on our priority list recently, and hopefully we remember how to do it right next week.
This. We’ve actually been decent about keeping eyes on gates and keeping defensive siege up, until this week. For example, we had 2 people last night that said they would keep our siege up to defend against the exploiters in hills. They watched all but two pieces of it expire. On top of that kind of stuff happening far too often, we are starting to get reports about towers/keeps being attacked when the walls or gates are already well under 50%, even when we have someone there watching. If we keep this up, we won’t even be a speed bump as BG and SoR plow through our towers and keeps.
We’ve gotten complacent in tier 3, and I really hope people don’t actually think this will carry over into tier 2. There have been a fair number of transfers to TC in the last 6 weeks… I wonder if they’re prepared to not be able to just cruise to a win next week.
Well, this week makes 6 Tier 3 wins, in a row, for Tarnished Coast, and 3rd place 5 out of the last 6 weeks for Isle of Janthir (They managed to stay out of third by ~2600 points a couple weeks ago).
Also, TC winning this match by about 70,000 points at the moment, and projected to still lose ranking points. IoJ is 23,000 behind 2nd place, and nearly 50,000 behind first, and they’re projected to gain points.
This has to change.
As a statistician, I guarantee you that Isle of Janthir would wreck Tier 3 if they dropped down and TC moved up (conversely, TC will be wrecked in Tier 2).
The Glicko measures performance; the fact that we have several tiers in perpetual match-ups is evidence of its accuracy.
Maybe IoJ needs a win after weeks without seeing first place, and TC could use a good beating and a chance to see what the differences are between them and the tier 2 servers. Obviously if they don’t belong there, and the match ups are as bad as you claim, they wouldn’t be there for long.
Part of the problem with the Glicko system is that we’re dealing with a very large number of humans in each group. Many people get discouraged by losing constantly, or having the same match up over and over again. Many people will stop playing or transfer servers.
Also, the ratings are inherently flawed if the same servers are always playing each other. If every single player transferred out of tier 2 (clearly not realistic), then they should rapidly lose points, but they wont, because no one else ever plays against them. The other 21 servers would all beat a 0 population server, but unless someone could lose badly enough in tier 1 or win by enough points in tier 3, this system would never adjust for the fact that tier 2 now contained the worst 3 servers.
You cannot isolate group of 3 servers and expect the rankings to be accurate when the players on each server are (for the most part) constantly getting better, learning new strategies, and the populations of the servers are all fluctuating.
This system would work perfectly to rank all of the servers if the populations were never changing, the players were never evolving, the effort for each server was always the same, and the players weren’t humans that desire some sort of diversity once in a while.
Well, this week makes 6 Tier 3 wins, in a row, for Tarnished Coast, and 3rd place 5 out of the last 6 weeks for Isle of Janthir (They managed to stay out of third by ~2600 points a couple weeks ago).

I took no part in the Dolyak walk, and yeah, it happened in a pvp area, nonetheless, it’s sad that they decided to group up and ruin everyone else’s fun.
What would be fun next week though (even though I know it couldn’t happen), would be TC and CD teaming up to see how badly we can deny FA.
Take a look into the Tier 3 and Tier 4 servers (in order of current ranking: Tarnished Coast, Crystal Desert, Fort Aspenwood, Yak’s Bend, Maguuma and Ehmry Bay). Both match ups are relatively close and all of these servers have a relatively small queue (if any) after reset, and none most other times.
I’m on TC, and I love it here. We seem to have a little better coverage than the other servers I’ve listed (I think we need a night crew more than anything to push for tier 2).
You are more than welcome to join us, we’d love to have you guys, but I’m sure the other servers would all say the same as well. I recommend you try some of these out until you find one you really enjoy.
Best of luck finding your new home!
If the 2nd and 3rd server keep swapping places under the current system, the slightly modified system would take no action. For example, if SoR and IoJ constantly swapped places, the modified system would not force TC into T2. It would only do that if TC won 1st place X amount of times and IoJ got 3rd X amount of times.
Really, my idea is a far less extreme version of if you get 1st you go up and if you get 3rd you go down. There are very obvious problems with that system even if it does solve some problems. A less extreme version of that system will reduce those problems.
I thought about 2 or 3 times as well, but that leaves no room for a situation like the following:
Let’s say TC is comfortably winning Tier 3 every week with CD and FA pretty close to each other, and IoJ and SoR were pretty close in score, while Blackgate is comfortably winning Tier 2, but neither IoJ or Sor (or FA/CD for that matter) are losing the 3 matches in a row required to move down a tier.
Clearly this isn’t the exact case, but it is quite possible.
Another solution may just be to keep a running tally of wins/losses in a tier. Once any one server hits 3 total wins in their tier and, in the next tier up, any one server hits 3 total losses, they switch. Then, the tally for the server that moved down is automatically given 1 win since they came from a higher ranking, and the server that moved up is automatically given 1 loss, since they came from a lower ranking. This would keep them switching less often….. anyways, just another idea.
The bottom line is that the top 4 tier matches are hardly ever changing. There’s no excuse for one server to win (or lose) repeatedly in their tier and not get moved because they didn’t win (or lose) by enough points. It’s very difficult, if not impossible, to actually give the servers a relative rating if they aren’t ever playing each other (especially given that there are still players and guilds moving between the servers).
Maybe we should do a little of what everyone has suggested. Change the coefficient in the Glicko system, like Lord Emamah suggested, while still having a fail-safe of sorts where if one server wins several matches in a row and the bottom server in the tier above them loses several matches in a row, switch them, regardless of rating. Since some servers would occasionally be forced into a tier above/below their rating, this would also prevent the “bubbles” forming in the current ratings. If the tier 5 servers were drastically better than tier 4, then as soon as the top tier 5 server moved into tier 4, their rating would also change drastically until all of the tier 5 servers moved ahead of the tier 4 servers.
Well, CD seems to like the invulnerable spot at Vale, a few of them pretty much constantly sit there on our borderlands, run out for a few seconds, then run back.
Right now:
TC: 209,271 +380
CD: 164,677 +160
FA: 160,745 +155
Maybe the solution to this is really quite simple: Win your tier and you move up, lose your tier and you move down. (With the obvious exceptions of 1st and 24th ranked servers.)
This would keep the match ups constantly changing, but each server would stay in about the same place.
As far as which server is red/blue/green, the green server can be the higher ranked team that moved down, blue is the team that stayed in the tier and red is the lower ranked team that moved up.
Yeah, this may create some blowout matches, but I’d gladly take that once in a while over fighting the same servers all the time. Besides, a blowout win and you’re up into the next tier, a blowout loss and you’re down into the next lower tier.
Score update… TC pulling away at the moment
Let me start of by saying TC is as big as it was 4 weeks ago and their ability to cover 2 maps is not matched in this tier.
To FA: As one of the commanders I continually preached that we can’t fight FA, we need to focus TC. However that went out the window when for two days straight FA maintained a strong presence in our borderlands. While some people seem to be able to focus on the larger objective, the overall zerg is focused on “easier” points, so they attack us. We have to respond in kind.
If we continually see GODS and PRO pushing TC BL I’m sure most of us will get the hint
.
As for CD, keep the fight going. 18k point differential is not big, we still have a chance to keep TC in our sights. As a competitive person, I want to keep TC back in t3 because if we don’t, it means they owned us. As a strategist, I’ve seen IoJ in tier 2 … none of us want to see them YET. (this includes YB).
Bring on the fight and above all please remember it’s a game, have fun.
I have to say, from our perspective on TC, it would be nice to see you two fighting each other a little more. However, this has been quite an enjoyable match so far.
I’d like to move up to tier 2 next week, although we probably won’t be able to stay up there. Fighting FA is getting a bit stale, and I’m sure they would agree. It would do us a bit of good to have a change of scenery if only for a week.
I also can’t wait to see when you guys finally turn on each other if it starts to look like Yak’s Bend might move back up into 9th.
Yeah, didn’t take long for the exploiters to come out.
To the mods who will inevitably review the thread and hand out infractions for people calling out the guild doing it, we’d love to just target and report them, unfortunately, they’re under the map and can very rarely be targeted.

There is nothing wrong with camping the jumping puzzle. I’ve never done it, and I’m actually in the match against Yak’s Bend, but if they just let us go through the jumping puzzle, then we get free siege equipment to use against them.
The jumping puzzle should be considered part of the battlefield that you get no points for holding, but that enables you to hold and take objectives a little easier than your opponent if you can control it.
Everyone is still going through the same stuff… this is ridiculous. I guess by reading some of these stories, I’m one of the lucky ones. Tried about 5 times and I’ve actually managed to finish it twice.
And ANet shows a big middle finger to everyone.
Thanks guys! /sarcasm

I don’t do it, and I don’t normally condone it, there was, however, someone today that needed it:
So my server owns the whole map, here I am, by myself, killing some wolves next to the garrison. Pretty much just mmob. I’m on a level 55 thief, and a level 80 (actual level 80) thief from one of the other servers had to have come halfway across the map (I’m on the opposite side of the garrison from his server’s spawn point) with no one else from his server. He decides to run up behind me and kill me…. I know I’m in a pvp area, but really man…? …really? I still manage to kill him, plus half the wolves (who were all low health already) during the fight. I had to walk over and /laugh next to his corpse.
Whoever you are, you had 25 levels (granted I was “scaled” to 80), twice as much health as me, the element of surprise, and I had aggro from 4 wolves, and you still couldn’t win…. good job being sneaky for that “free kill.”
You, sir, deserved to be laughed at for that.
I have to agree. I’ve been on 3 other servers before I found Tarnished Coast. This server never gives up, well, some people do, but we always have a fairly sizable group willing fight it out.
Yeah, we might argue occasionally, but to be completely honest, if you’re looking for a great community full of people that are willing to stick with the match, regardless of the score, TC is the place to be.
For the Toast!
