Rabid gear is a MUST for Glamour builds
6x Rune of the Undead (extra Toughness and CondDmg? Yes, pls)
Sigil of Corruption on Staff and Scepter (Extra CondDmg? Of course)
Rare Veggie Pizza and Master Tuning Crystal (Even more CondDmg)

No toughness in WvW is equal to having a rally-bot.

For hot-join PvP, shatter build with some gear tweaks and GS/Staff is SO much fun!

I think the first skill is Mass Invisibility, then you have Veil (very clearly displayed) the choking part seems like a drop of Chaos Storm (applying poison)… what kind of troubles me (besides the fire rate and the 2 duelists) is the fire thing… seems like The Prestige, but the player does not vanish and then reappears.

I really hope confusion build is not nerfedl It is incredibly useful in WvW. And to all those haters… learn to play your class instead of trying to nerf the others.

If you are killed easily, you are either:
1. unskilled in your class
2. traited wrong
3. better off playing Hello Kitty Online

The Anomaly and Abyssal Scepter seems like a perfect match for Mesmers.

We would still need a purple-ish staff that looks like the transparent purple GS.

I chose Sylvari but just because I wanted to have 1 char of each race. Had I known Pain Inverter was Asuran, I would have probably rolled it that way. Now I’m Lv 80 and not rerolling.

When I need to stack Confusion very fast and in large quantities, there is nothing like S+F/GS due to the fact that I have 2 Whirl Finishers (iZerk and iWarden)… so the chain could be Mirror Blade (To cause Vuln and get Might stacks) + Feedback + iZerk + switch weapons + iWarden + Confusing Images.

With the change in Confusing Images, you can stack up to 15 Confusion in less than 10 seconds.

Confusion Builds have just got even more amazing!

So much to choose from! Scepter+Focus and Staff for CC, Scepter+Focus and GS for Confusion spreading like a Boss!

I use the very same Confusion build I use for PvE, WvW and it works wonderfully.

All Rabid gear, Scepter+Focus/GS.

I tend to use both. I love the ability to spread Confusion to my targets with GS and Generating Chaos Armor with both Staff 4 and/or Staff 5+Staff2 within the AoE range of Staff 5.

Both have pros and cons. With my playstyle, I find myself using GS over Staff because I go: Null Field + Feedback + Mirror Blade + pBerserker (switch to Scepter/Focus) + iWarden + Confusing Images + Mind Wrack/CoF… There you have close to 15 stacks of Confusion in less than 7 seconds.

Staff I use most in Boss fights where i can stay at range and keep popping Warlocks for insane amounts of dmg as this is a 1v1 skill and keep casting Staff 5 to protect melee ranged allies.

For Condition Dmg Build the best bang for the buck would be:

For light armor and accessories you can buy with Karma (Cursed Shore/Malchor’s Leap) almost the whole set except for Top and Boots.

Now for those you have 4 options:

1. Buy Khilbron set pieces
2. Run CM, TA, Arah or HotW to buy exotics pieces and save your gold.
3. If you are in the Order of Whispers, you can buy set pieces with that stats.
4. If you are a Sylvari the cultural armor has them too.

If you are running confusion build, the best (and mostly ONLY bet) is Superior Rune of The Undead for the 6/6 bonus.

PvE or PvP or WvW wise?

It all depends on 3 things:

1. What are you fighting against? Mobs or players? Running dungeons? Which ones?
2. You like offense or defense?
3. Are you a loner or a group player?

As an inhabitant of this server I have to agree with all that has been previously said and add a few other things:
1. We not only respect eachother but we also respect our enemies. We don’t make fun of the fallen.
2. Due to lack of numbers we learned to fight using the Guerrilla Warfare style (Google it if you wanna know more). Now our numbers have increased and this previous experience has now allowed us to put together an army to be feared and respected (no mindless zergs).
3. Cooperation (this has been said before, but there is just too much of it to have it listed only once).

If you are new to GW2 and are still undecided which server to go, look no further, FA is your safest choice.

If you are removing minions as an option you want a Well build or spectral build.

For wells builds faster recharge on wells, well of blood as a heal (or feast), x3 wells as utilities its a good starting point lich if you really hate golum. I trade out one well for spectral walk in WvW because i tend to roam and like the speed boost.

I have kind of moved away from wells lately in favor of other power builds but still think its a very solid starting point for a tanky power build. My rune choice might seem strange but a little crit and extra damage goes along way, you are already very tanky. Dagger over axe is you like axe is lacking atm.

Switch a Well for Signet of the Locust and there you have 25% extra speed. Just swiotch it back to well if combar arises.

Same thing here. Can’t open it. Rather have the rewards just like you did with Karka final event: mail with the loot. Pls I want those items.

You guys say the Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3B1K2 will be subpar? Cuz I was thinking about getting a 2nd 2×4Gb module for when I finally buy the upgrade.

Which MoBo would u guys pair the A10 with? Don’t think too high end cuz I can’t afford it. I would need USB 3.0, PCI-e 2.0 (2.1 preferably) and SATA3 (6Gb) support. On-board sound a must.

If you ok with frequently droping below 30 fps then you can pritty much get any CPU you want :P

I am running the game on this rig: Athlon64 x2 4200+ / ASuS M2N-MX SE / 2Gb RAM DDR2 800MHz Kingston HyperX Dual-Channel / Western Digital WD5000AAKX / MSI R6670 MD2GD3 / AOpen Cobra AW-850 Deluxe 5.1 (which I can’t get to work on Win7 due to lack of drivers and it’s driving me nutz cuz it’s 1 hell of a sound card)

When I’m in WvW and zergs collide is like I kill 1 screenshot at a time. Really, dying by my hand with the way my computer displays the battle should be shame enough to Alt+F4 and go play Sudoku, Hello Kitty Online or thinking about dropping games… ROFLMAO.

Btw, the 8Gb HyperX RAM modules I mentioned before I already bought them in advance and are sitting there all pretty and unused.

8gb should be more than enough for gaming. Ram is cheap you can go 16GB for like $40.

If I were living in the US, which I don’t. Sometimes I wish I did after seeing Kingston HyperX 2×4Gb at merly 30 bucks… cuts his balls off in dispair

Where I live, Argentina (S America, for those of you that may not know), the diff between this A10 I mention and the 8120 is about 40 bucks.

If I were to go with the 8120 this is the MoBo I’d pair it with: Asus M5a88 V Evo.

PS: If any of you wanna do some charity and throw a couple of dollars (or the RAM modules) my way to help me upgrade my rig… I wouldn’t mind at all ^^

I’m saving my Jugs and Vials too, once I get to a nice amount, I’ll do this too.
I have 100+k on my Warr and 80+k on my Necro (that is now my alt).
Guess, I’ll farm it for my Warr 1st and then my alt.

Kicked out due to lag. I kept on dieing due to it too. Got only rewarded for part of the event 10k xp. Did not anything else. I did help a lot tho. I would like to have my reward too.

Longbow for zergs in DEs and Rifle for single target mayhem (Bosses, Champions, WvW, etc.).

Here is mine before my current lv 80 exotic set which (I don’t know why) can’t transmute back into this one.

In WvW, when invaders are slamming at your door, find an elevated terrain, focus an enemy (preferably not a Guardian), cast Marks+Wells+Epidemic. Enjoy!

For some reason, ppl don’t tend to look up when slamming at the doors so they are easy targets for us.

Finishing ‘heart’ events on a certain zone grant way over the amount of a teleport fee too.

What? You can’t finish 5 events in 2 hrs? Go to Bloodtide Coast SW waypoint and you’ll finish the 5 events in less than 40 mins:
1. Repell Risen attack.
2. Escort a Hylek to kill griphons.
One after the other in quick succession.

I’ve recently switched from scepter,dagger/staff condition to axe,focus/dagger,warhorn power and I’m absolutely loving it. It’s amazing how fast we can stack vulnerability. I’m assuming that our DD output was reduced too much in an attempt to account for the fast vuln stacks. This is great for groups, as bleed stacks max out awfully fast, but I had rarely seen full vuln stacks before switch. Condition builds kind of kill effective use of DS ( it just becomes a defensive cooldown ) where power builds get a lot more out of it. Between DS, Lich, and all of the movement speed buffs, I have insane survivability albeit relatively subpar damage.

But I believe you have to also be in closer range making you vulnerable to AoE damage from bosses like Koi who stomps the ground and does insane damage to caster classes.

Unless you want to be outDPSed by your Flesh Golem, yeah, pick dagger. Its just autoattack though. I’d say staff outperforms dagger on multiple targets.

Depending on how you’re specced this may not be a good idea though. You have to basically be in melee range to use dagger, which can be risky.

The only viable MH Dagger spec would be with Spectral Walk to get into the mayhem, cast every spell known to us and port back to cast Epidemic.

Yeah, it is not too much fun to just get XP, Karma and Gold when killing Group Event bosses because we don’t deal enough damage to get the actual drops (unless there is a Chest, of course). And we can’t go with melee-range weapons cuz we’d be blasted with AoE skills (i.e.: Koi).

Then Dagger/Dagger might be good for both WvW and PvP.

Anyway, for WvW it is bet to use Staff, Wells, DS and Epidemic.

The other downside for Daggers is that you need to be in close quarters to use its skills, on the other side, Scepter and then Staff give you more kiting abilities.

As long as you have them in line (for autoattack).

Also, Staff’s autoattack is pretty dodgeable and slow.
