Plenty of players have been having issues with the game since the last patch. I have a similar Sony laptop that was able to run the game incredibly well. The only lag I would get is when a massive fight started in WvW. Ever since the patch, I have been getting frequent stutters in the game. At first, I assumed that this was my computer slowing down, so I started using Gamebooster and I unparked the cores in my laptop. It boosted the FPS for all of my games, however I still get an odd FPS drop in GW2. (FPS drop as in… starting a fight with 60 FPS and having it drop to 15 [for a brief second] for no apparent reason.) I still play frequently, but it’s rather irritating.

i know im headed for a 3rd or 4th “vacation” for speaking the truth here…. its not all the forums staff but, keep an eye for when specific members of anet staff post/reply to posts, and notice how many threads/posts are locked or deleted….and how many people become silent after…..

it sucks and, if they offered me a full refund I would take it, because its become very clear to me, they arent going to fix the “non-existent” problems with the game, at least not till theres a pile of money to be made from doing so.
If anything this should help them, by helping players they help the community, they help promote their game, if they ban us for asking help then that is corrupt. I am not blaming anet, I am not making threats, I want to play this game. And I am looking for suggestions. If there is anything to be fixed, people who originally couldn’t play this game, will start playing again.
the problem has to be on your end, the gods of this realm have spoken via actions rather then words, this game has no flaws, so any problems you have running this game must be on your end not anets.
duno what to tell you other then try reinstalling directx9, outside that, just accept that your getting great perf because the gods of this realm say so…..or more to tera or another mmo that runs better.

I had a similar problem with my laptop. Try re-installing the latest Nvidia driver. That fixed my issues.
Tried it, dozen times over, no luck.
I might just quit gw2, tired of it not being optimized, when I can play any other game on max settings np.

All of a sudden, I dropped to 25-30 fps

I’d help you if I could, but token cannot be traded. They are account bound. There is only 1 way I can think for you to acquire this armor. Go to the lvl 70 zone fireheart rise. And pray there is a willing team that allows you to leech the last boss. There are some nice people but they are hard to find.
As for the transmute part. I don’t think you can. But then agian, I never tried it.

I believe that mystic clovers are pretty profitable. T6 mats are yes, on the rise in terms of rise. I currently have 50 clovers, I use the 10 clover recipe and I get back 37 ( Idk if its just me ) I get back 37 T6 mats back, for example last night I failed twice and got back 37 powerful bloods and 37 powerful venom sacks, that in itself is 5g maybe? 10 ectos are about 3g, so yes ignoring the obby shards, I think mystic clover gambling is pretty profitable. I have never done the 1x recipe so I can’t really tell you anything, but I have done the 10x and it’s pretty good. SO FAR ( Knocking on wood )

AC is a hard dungeon. Not hard to all of us, but it is hard. It’s certainly harder than CoF, or HotW. In fact, those two dungeons are relatively easy. But throw an average pug that doesn’t run AC every day into that dungeon, and they will have a hard time. They are not likely to breeze through it. Its as simple as that. Bold statements as “New AC is not hard” are absurd. AC always was hard, and the new version is even slightly harder.
Great that you find it easy. That does not make it an easy dungeon.

The simplest reason is due to the acquisition of Tokens. Tokens are used for both Gifts as well as Exotic gear. Further, given that different dungeons provide different stats, this would favoracquisition of some stats over others. Not optimal. Further it would inherently trivialize some acquisitions.
Don’t we have this problem already? Some dungeons are clearly much easier than others, such as CoF. What I suggest, is having the difficulties in the correct order: Start with the easiest dungeon, and let them progressively get harder.
The dungeons are designed to provide a challenge to both a player who has reached 80, is fully geared, and is working towards a Legendary, as well as to a player who barely meets the base requirements for that instance – hence scaling. The mechanics of the dungeon don’t rely upon gear, rather, they are dependent upon knowledge and skill – level independent.
Except for the fact that anyone who goes into these dungeons without being level 80 in full gear will get absolutely demolished. That was my point, it’s not gear independent at all. Even with the scaling, gear does still matter.
Implementing a progressive scale catering to gear, level, knowledge and skill doesn’t easily fit into the current structure.
I don’t see why not. You could easily tone down the strength, levels or numbers of monsters to make it progressively harder. And all the gear you get from any of the dungeons is all level 80. The only difference is the stats they give, but no stat combination is really better than another. It all really depends on what stat combo you personally favor. But its not like a dungeon like AC gives worse gear than Arah. In fact, AC armor is one of the few with a good power, toughness, vitality combo.
Trying to revamp the system to accomodate the kind of progression would require resources that could better be spent developing new content rather then trying to restructure content that meets the current paradigm.
I’m not sure how much work it would be. We’re talking tweaking the numbers a bit of existing dungeons, and not remaking them. Something they are already using resources for to do. I mean, they are revisiting all the dungeons right now. So why not do it right? If you’re going to tweak the enemies and bosses… why not make sure there’s a steady difficulty curve as well?

Reason behind it is they would rather carry a mesmer,warrior,or a guardian. The people you are referring to are elitist and I would take there word with a grain of salt. I run with rangers and engineers (which are in the same talk) and it is only speed run groups and elitist that won’t take you.
We are far from being elitists, rangers do no damage and their pets aggro monsters when we are trying to get in position. Only thing rangers are good at is wvw. I ADMIT, we had a ranger in fractals who saved our behinds because his pet revived him and he revived us. However this only happened once, all other rangers were fail. If you’re going to run a dungeon you want it fast while gaining the game experience, and clean.
Don’t listen to some of these players.

Being trying a while now. over 200 rares and 50 exotics. No luck yet.
Overall loss of gold around 200g. I am just convinced it will not drop from the Mys.Forge for me.But on the other hand you hear stories of a guy dropping one time 4 rares for the daily and get a pre, the other get 2 precursors on 80 exotics and you say wtfffffffffffffffff

So I had about 178g saved up, from farming CoF.
I decided hey, 10g wont hurt my income.
I tried I believe 5 times? I got 2 exotics ( named ones ) and the rest rares.
Decided to spend another 10, got back no exotics.
Spent another 10 ( I have a gambling addiction ) got a exotic and rest rare.
I stopped after that. I must of attempted 15-20 tries. No return.
RNG in this game is stupid.
Today seems to be my lucky day in the forge. I tossed 4 masterwork dyes and got back black dye which sold for 10g, I put 2 sets of daggers (rare) and got back 2 exos. I put in 4 rare mini pets as a gamble and got a exo drake which sold for 30g.

Most of my income comes from CoF farming and crafting and selling for profits.
With the taxes, I get less than how much it actually takes to craft the item.
I mean I guess it’s okay if there are taxes, but I think 15% is way too much.
Or change the TP to show you exactly how much you’re selling for, instead of getting someones hopes up.
Sell an item for 10g ( yay! ) only get like 9g 1s and 10c out of it, not cool.
I think the best Fractal by far is underwater one, I myself LOVE underwater combat, playing on a high end graphics card, seeing the texture and the water is amazing, I am almost done crafting my legendary trident.

I don’t see how people are complaining, AC hasn’t really changed that much other than you can’t cheese it anymore. Learn to actually go through the dungeon the proper way, gain the game experience, if it’s too hard, take the challenge and have the full satisfaction of completing the set ( armor, weps ) etc without cheesing or griefing.

Dusk just went up in price, last night price was 630 gold, now 3/10/13 at 16:57 ( 4:47 PM ) it’s at 700 gold. By the time I even reach 700 it’s going to be in the thousands.

Vol, that is a bit too harsh. He spent his gold on his chance because the prices of precursors are going up. By the time he had enough gold, who knows Dusk or Dawn might be up in the 700s-800s. At that point you just need to take a stand and attempt your chance. Either way, farming your kitten off is “depressive”. It wasn’t foolish.
I know there are a lot of bad thieves out there but when you have a truely good thief in your party, one that really knows the class, they can bring more to the group then any other class. Many people probably believe this but yet every day I see dozens of lfgs saying no thieves. Even in cof p1 farm teams straight up kick my thief(and obviously others) just cause of the bad stigma. People just don’t seem to care that other classes can bring in more than whAt they assume.
Because thieves are a stupid class and literally take no skill. They are perma stealth and each shot builds up intense cripple.
Nobody has patience for them, I know for a fact if one gets on my team for a dungeon/fractal, they get the boot. I’d rather have a ranger or ele.
That is pretty rediculous. I know for a fact that I’ve run at least 18 level 10 fractals without AR as a Ranger without anyone even asking for a gearcheck. Fractal don’t even require you to have AC at earlier levels because most of the tim you can avoid it.
I want to say “elitists” but I also want to say people who have nothing better to do or having a bad day and decided to take it out on someone.
Today, I had gotten kicked out of my own team during a fractal. ( My own team as in I recruited the people via gw2lfg and started the dungeon )
Why did I get kicked out?
Their reason was because I had no AR ( Agony Resist ) for a daily fractal 10.
I also got reported because when I got booted, the instance closed. They angry and said I wasted their time. And that they would see to it that “Anet compensates them”

I spend 10g on nothing but rare greatswords ( Daily ) I have been doing this for 3 days = 30g spent, and I have not gotten 1 precursor, however I have gotten plenty of exotics which I am saving up to attempt to use those.
Legendary is all about determination and dedication ( Don’t sacrifice your health ) if you want it you’re gonna have to farm your kitten off.
Just out of curiosity, how long do you do this per day? I mean, with 2 characters, 3 paths, and DR hitting on each subsequent run, this must take all day to amass 1000 tokens/day.
I do cof on 4 lvl 80s path 1 & 2 = 120 tokens + 9 ( from the bags ) 120×4 = 480 + diminishing returns which easily add another 500 from my toons which totals to about 1,000 tokens. It takes about 3 hours dedicated time. I use mystic salvaging kit which is 250 kits that are equal to a master salvaging kit.
Thats about 35 rare lvl 70 helmets. I salvage all of them for ectos. The lowest I have gotten were 40 ectos. Highest I got was about 60.
Sell 60 ectos for 30s each. You can kind of see how much gold that is.
+ the things I find like rares, molten lodestones
All total to about 30g daily.
I then use 10g to gamble at my attempt to get Dusk/Dawn.

I have been farming cof a looooooot. Thousands and thousands of tokens spent. On average it is 2 ectos per 3 rares.
Some people put in 10 rares in the forge and out comes a precursor.
Some people find their precursors in fractals, dungeons.
Just because I get more ecto’s than you does not in any way mean what I said was “bs” what I had said was the honest truth.
I am sorry you have terrible luck, I for one even with 25% chance, end up getting 2-3 ectos every 2 salvages.

Well I reported the party “leader” because his username was the only one I could remember. But I don’t think anet will do anything because I reported the party leader for verbal abuse but he/she wasn’t the one who was cursing like a sailor lol.

I run this game, max settings, and get about 45-60 fps and about 25 fps when it comes to jormag and etc. Every so often when I teleport somewhere, everyone including myself. will be nothing but floating swords, I can see my arrow moving but the camera doesn’t move. Idk if its graphics lag or network lag.
I got Twilight today, wanna know how I got Dusk? I farmed my kitten off in CoF p1, salvaged all tokens I got and sold the ecto, selling all rares/ritual bags/exotics/etc that I got (I sold the rares, because salvaging averages out at about the same gold income -> 1 rare = 1 ecto on average, also selling rares is guaranteed gold whereas salvaging could be seen as gambling). Every bit helps. I was able to get about ~200-300g per week (~30g per day) doing this. It also helps if you have alts (I have 8 level 80’s when I was farming CoF), because they’ll get more token rewards each day, which will result in more gold income for the same amount of time invested running CoF p1.
After throwing away 300g (1500+ rare Greatswords) in the forge and getting nothing, I knew the mystic toilet wasn’t going to give me what I wanted.
So my advice to you is: Use the tokens to get ecto and sell them on the TP. Don’t feed Zommoros the troll. The only thing he’ll give you is disappointment.
(Bought Dusk for 500g off TP btw, I want to give a quick thank you for the person that decided to sell Dusk to the highest current bidder (me!) instead of listing it at 600g. The 2 hours I sat waiting near the TP to make sure I was the highest bidder at all times hasn’t been in vain.)

Let me just say, it’s because of people, that I may change my major in college from Computer Science to Psychology, people who join speed runs in CoF are looking for berserker team, np. Everyone greets each other, everyone is friendly, oh wait this guy starts calling us useless and wait! He tells us to rot in hell, why? Because instead of beating the first boss before time warp disappeared, we killed the first boss probably 4 seconds after the time warp, and the guy leaves after insulting us.
My question is. This guy joins a speed run, then leaves. When the time to find another team would probably be the same to us finishing. Some people are just too kitten in the head.
It would help developers parse through the hundreds of threads of posts worth of feedback if people would use descriptive, concise thread titles. Thread titles consisting of half sentences (i.e. “I think that…”) or titles that are too vague (i.e. “Skills”) are really not helpful. Those sorts of titles give no indication of what a thread is about, so most readers will simply skip them.
It’s just that some of the answers I get are based from the ones I get from the community, and it sometimes bring me down when I see a thread will have 500 views but 0 comments.
I’m commenting because I don’t like it when a lot of people view it and no one bothers to say a word, I think it’s becauase CoF is more used for farming gold so it has 5% extra damage to flame legion to help out.

Hate to say it but technically it is their group, their rules, it is griefing no doubt, and I suppose can fit under the “Scamming” because they scammed you of your loot at the end and scammed you of your trust. But as the others said, as long as there is a 2/5 vote idk if there is anything you can do about it, I wish it worked like court, once person sends the vote out and the rest can have an option to say no.
And again as others said, you might want to look into a trust worthy guild that runs dungeons, my guild Indigo Plateau [IP] are filled with amazing people, we were 400 strong but as people switched servers we lowered down to about 200.
AC path 1, when defending the npc and destroying graveling mounds, I noticed that for the 2nd to last mound after attacking, I get teleported to another room isolated from my team and there is nothing I can do about it.
Happened on my warrior/ranger and Guardian, idk if its just me or not.
And for you nazi’s out there, I said train, not chain.
I don’t think it’s fair either, and it really causes a train reaction. I have seen friends talk about since they’ve been getting kicked they are going to do the same thing to others, to take out their rage, which causes literally a train of misbehavior. It is such a sad thing to see. I don’t really think these people should get “Suspended” however I do think Anet should change the voting kick in dungeons. 2 people is not enough, it’s a team based game, everyone needs to say yes. Not just 2.
