There are quite a few threads regarding similar, if not the same, issues.

It has something to do with a process like….awesomium….or something that needs to be shut down through the task manager before trying to restart the game.

Not to be rude, but please try harder to search the forums before repeating a question. I realize their search functionality isn’t the greatest and it’s difficult to find what you’re looking for, but a little bit more work on your part will help to alleviate multiple threads covering the same topics.

It would be nice if a moderator could merge all of these topics.

You would think since this issue comes up all the time they would sticky the solution…. but usually the anet response is that it is a problem with your browser of firewall. The awesomnium process stop suggestion is always proposed by a player.

I tried this with the gossamer and lost close to 40 silver on 1 transaction. The mystic toilet is a waste of time.

Put in 250 silk 5 tier 6 dusts and 2 gossamer + my skill point. Got 15 gossamer back… WTF

Food/Potions buffs dropping early

So I have noticed this occuring a few times.. I will have to track it more but i think it is when “zoning” from one area to another for example when you are trying to complete fractals you do the 3-4 parts it drops between each one. Also in Arah story quest it dropped when we went from the bottom level to the “sky level” on the airship.

I am sure there are others but anyone else noticing this? Is it a known bug?

I would be wary about this. If you do decide to do it be prepared for a possible suspension for 72 hours as a result. If it happens you can try in put in a support ticket but of the 3 I have entered none have been answered in less time then the suspension 72 hours.

My money is on it being nerfed to claimed to be improper. BL keys are a source of income to anet since the drop rate is horrible… you get like 1 key for every 10 chests. I would imagine there are a number of people paying for them on the gemstore… hope I am wrong but I don’t see them letting this stay the same way especially since the ideas is out and about now.

I agree with this. They should at least move that warning up to rares… you salvage too many greens to want to hit that every time. Maybe give us the ability to set the threshold for the warning in game options, green, gold, orange or something.

I like the idea of a craft that affects seige items. maybe even something that lets you upgrade seige even if you can’t build it outright. Like efficient build plans which lowers supply cost or increases build speeds. Or even an item that you can apply to “repair” a deployed seige item restoring HP. A patching golem who hammers on the item would be funny.

Thank you for the reply Gaile I have added the 2 most recent tickets to the 3 day and older queue for investigation. I do want to be clear since zbrkesbr.4173’s post really provided no help since I aware of the conduct guidelines and in no way disputing right or wrong on an offense. In fact 1 of the tickets for was an issue I was having with the TP functionality. My point is that i get the auto reply in the first 5 min of putting in the ticket then never hear back again. Not that it is intentional by anet but maybe those poor folks needs some more staff if they are getting run over by support tickets.
My 1 infraction i was wrong did not in any way dispute it but since it was wrong on both sides I wanted to make sure the person who was so eager to report me shared in the punishment since they shared in the infraction.
for reference to this thread the 2 tickets i can find are

130104-000376 is that first ticket that was put in on 1/3/12
130104-002929 is the second ticket which is still awaiting a response entered on 1/4/12
3rd ticket is from more then 3 weeks ago I am sorry I can’t find the ticket number anymore

P.S. thanks for adding your info sarevok. that is exactly what my point was it should be looked into if this is more then norm then the outside occurance

Hello all,

I am not currently suspended so this is not a unsuspend me thread. But here is my issue. I had been suspended and just like everyone else I got told to put a ticket in to support. Now the suspensions are 72 hours… and from my experience so far. # tickets in for totally seperate unrelated issues. I have gotten 0 responses back. 1 is past 3 weeks one is past 4 days and the other 3 days.

Now lets just throw out my personal experience saying it is not a big enough sample rate. when you create the ticket it says 24-48 hours it is 72 hours before you can post in the escalation thread sticky… so really how helpfull is the advice to put in a ticket for a suspension ( lets assume you are totally in the right and it is an innocent error on Anet’s side) when you won’t hear back untill the suspension lifts on its own anyway?

I understand they work as fast as they can but just want to see if anyone else thinks this is an issue that maybe could use some attention.

( and before someone mentions it, yes i understand if they didn’t get flooded with requests from people who have 5 previous offenses for the same issue stating they didn’t do it then things would move faster)

Thanks dream. I have had people tell me to use the bl for exto’s and then had others turn around and tell me it is no different from using the basic kit as far as the chance for ecto goes. Difference is chance for say rare metal back or the chance to retrieve the rune.

But if it takes real cash from me I will prob stick with the normal kits thanks

Hello all,

From what I have read people seem to think this is the only way to go. Is there any downside to the mystic salvage kits. Most of the time I am just using the lowest level ones to salvage blues and whites. then usually sell the greens and have been using BL kits for my rares and exo’s ( recently heard I should only BL the expensive rune items although this seems to be debated frequently).

Any info is much apprecaited

I have had 2 seperate tickets on 2 different incidents in. One has resolved itself since I was asking for assistance on a suspension issue… now passed the 72 hours and I am back in that way still a reply would have been appreciated. Second issue is still pending.

130104-000376 is that first ticket that was put in on 1/3/12

So as I understand it anything over the second number in your case 7/6 does not add any stats you have exceeded the max. This will also happen with minon ruin of divinity if you have more then 2 you stop gaining stats. I think you only benefit untill max is reached. they probably didn’t think of aqua breather when they made 6 the max

Also if they had max 7 you would only get the last stat bonus underwater i believe

This is a tough one. I think I would have to said ANET did the right thing. Otherwise you have to get into people arguing the level of extremity of an exploit… a can of worms that can’t be opened. An exploit is an exploit.

To add to the other point of view although I would not go that route. If you did something like you propose I would also add on a gold penalty. set back to original date as you specified then remove 50% or even 75% of total gold on account including and all tp pending sales are forfeit. If they exploited for gold then taking the gold is where it will hurt.

Suggestion: Since you’ve been responded to by the team, ask them to review that second response you got. If it has a 12-digit number, put that in the first ticket, and ask them to verify that you are being asked to submit a new ticket for a continuing issue.

Sorry for the confusion that was my fault for not being clear. They are separate issues completely unrelated. 1 related to the forum and one about login to the game. I did not create 2 tickets for the same issue. also they are both auto response notifications I think. Here is the text " A support account was created for you at the time you e-mailed NCSOFT Support (support@ncsoft.com). This account is required to correspond with support. NOTE: This is not your NCSOFT or game account login! It is only for support purposes. " I left out the username portion below that

Ok so I am a bit confused. I submitted a ticket the other day for an issue i needed help with and go a fast auto response giving me a username and asking me to create my account. which I did.
I just sent a response to a moderator PM notification to the address provided now i got another auto response asking me to create another support account with a different username.. is this normal?

Should I be worried this is not coming from ANET?

The link was missing? That’s not good. I will check into that; it doesn’t make sense to ask people to update and not provide the means to do it.

who knows that could have been my email. my main point was about the auto response.. it sounded like you were considering going back to it. But I already got one as of yesterdays ticket submission. 3 weeks ago that was not the case. Hopefully that is not off topic for this thread

usually there are a few ways i identify bots.
1) a lot of times they appear to “warp” from one spot to another then snap back to the original spot when they are done fighting.
2) they tend to run in groups in a line with no variance from 1 person to another then stack up on each other to fight.
3) easy bots have just random letters for names :-)

A lot of times if i am unsure I will send them a whisper telling them I am concered they are a bot and asking them to reply to me.

Not a perfect way to do it but hope that helps

Just wanted to know if you send in a ticket to “make an appeal for an issue” do you always at least get a custom reply back about the decision. Even if it is yes you did it and you have to wait the listed time? The reason I ask is I created a ticket for a to issue over 3 weeks ago and never heard anything back at all. I found an answer later in the forums stating it is being worked on.

josh I would be carefull. I know you are frustrated at the moment as I was yesterday, but I am pretty sure opening multiple posts when the first is closed could cause you to have more issues that would not be correctable mistakes… I would recomend you delete this one and hang on for the ticket even though its tough. trust me I am not looking forward to a weekend lockout :-(

Just buy from TP. I don’t see what the problem is… Iron is cheap which would suggest there’s a bounty of materials available compared to need.

People always reply this way… this works fine if this is an alt or you buy game money with real money.

But if that is your first toon and you are leveling crafting as you level you are POOR untill higher level even iron when purchased in quantity is expensive for you

If I had to guess you sending large chunks of money to multiple people in game tripped a gold selling detection filter of some kind. It is understandable that it would. Also understandable you are frustrated. I would imagine it will be reversed with the ticket if it is as you outlined it

as far as I am aware unlike say blizzard anet offers no phone support at all. Everything is done through tickets. I would imagine that is because blizzard gets money from you every month Anet does not ;-)

yeah.. I think deleting the account would be good. My guess they figure most people asking for a refund aren’t coming back. But hey at least they offer it. And if I am wrong about the ticket you can always close it. But at least this way you get started into the queue if I am right ;-)

I was recently told that any negative statement about anet has the ability to be viewed as a breach of the TOS agreement… I have not verified this but it is kinda scary to hear that.

I think there is an issue with amount of bans/suspension required and manpower to do them all. That is why most companies give a warning first with no suspension. if they get 95% of them right and you are in the 5% wrong you get the warning email. You being in the 5% wrong a second time is highly unlikely so the second time suspends you and probably justly so. the problem here is since there is no double check that %5 seems like an accepted “casualty of war” against the real offenders.

You are then told to put in a ticket with a turnaround up to 3 days…. which is the suspension time frame… so there is really no way to get help before the suspension removes itself. Now I am hopeful my ticket will be seen sooner then the “please wait X amount of time before checking with us” as that is usually the max time but still frustrating to say the least.

I don’t think you wanted to link it to the old account. On the refunds page is says they can’t be opened and new account needs to be created with new account name and all.

That being said I think you will need to open a support ticket to get the issue corrected.

I would imagine is is a decision to limit the save options based on resources and time willing to be invested. They want the resources used elsewhere like bug fixes and preventing server side lag.

First, you were surely not “banned.” Bans are forever. At most, your account was suspended. But let’s talk about the important stuff: Did you report the harassment incident? When you were suspended, did you submit a ticket asking for a review?

  • - Gaile first of thanks for your efforts and time replying to everyone who is frustrated.
    -Secondly here I think it one of the big issues as this sounds similar to the issue i am currently facing. Someone comes along and insults/griefs people around you. You then reply back in defense ( given this was not the best thing to do but is probably a normal human response) after a minute or so maybe you just use the built in ignore function and try to avoid the person maybe go to a different area. This “griefer” probably not their first time around then reports us for our “half of the conversation” Now right or wrong we are then suspended for 72 hours while they walk away free to do this again to someone else. *

Game moderation is a partnership, and we need to ask you to participate by letting us know the facts of the case and giving us the opportunity to correct any error that was made or any incomplete action that might have been taken.

In this case, if you reacted heatedly, and if you were reported, you may have been given a time out. If the team gets your explanation of the full details — details that are not readily apparent to them without communication from you — then this situation can be amended to be fair to all involved. But you need to give us that chance, and I cannot see that you did yet.

  • - Now we do as you advised and put in a ticket to explain our side of what happened when admittedly Anet can’t be expected to know without us advising them but see a 24-48 hour turnaround on the ticket. *
  • So the end result the original troll/griefer gets no penalty and we even if anet helps us out get a 24-48 suspension. I think this is where a lot of frustration comes from. Also those of us that have been playing MMO’s for 10 + yrs are used to a different system where “minor offenses” or things that may have 2 sides to them get a warning or a 24 hour suspension first. A lot of the folks i see including myself have played these games for 10+ yr without even a warning let alone a suspension.*

I think you have a VERY valid point on the payment models being the difference in the level of support you get. In WoW which has excellent support with live people you can talk to and a warning system before a suspension you are paying them monthly after the original purchase. Here they get all your money up front and only get extra if you pay real money for gems which I think is maybe only 20% of the folks ( total guess there) So if they upset you what loss do they feel? If you leave it is just less resources used for them they already got all the money you were going to spend up front. There is a Reason WoW is still thriving after so long on the market blizzard customer service is great ( they probably also have the funding from monthly sub cost to fund it) My guess is the team here does the best they can but it is not a focus of funds for anet. Just my opinion of coarse but even if they get 95% of the suspensions right they are forcing the other 5% to at least wait 1-2 days for the turn around time of a support ticket :-(
