^^^ is the most likely cause
you can make runes of the soldier which sell for over a gold. but yeah the multi gold ones are usually drop only.
jewel crafting or one of the weapon crafts seem to be the least unprofitable. But honestly I just do them for the levels of exp they give as you really have to work to find something that gives a solid profit
I would also say no based on that warning they specifically put up.
What I think you are missing is they DON’T want you converting your gold to gems to buy the bank/bag slots. They want your real life hard earned dollars spent on gems. So for them the sale + worse conversion rate…. = perfect
Whatever else you want to say I don’t think you can say they don’t understand the money aspect of the game and economy. I think they have the down perfect
Hello all,
hoping someone can help me out on this. I was trying to buy a large quantity of an item from a vendor the vendor sells the item individually and I needed somewhere around 300-600 of them. I couldn’t find a way to buy a quantity and clicked about 200 times before i took a break. Is there any way to buy a “quantity of an item” like you could in WoW or do I really have to click 600 times?
Any help would be appreciated
ahhh gotcha. so basically I get a ton of dye is <1s but then i get one for 2G that pushes the average way up eventually. ahh man now you have me wanting to open them up again
thank you for the info. I would be happy with a small profit honestly but was curious why that would be left untapped. makes sense on the undercutting thing. If it just took a while I would be ok but that would take most of my gold to make so probably shouldn’t risk it.
I do have the 400 weaponsmithing and I have the gold. But I am wondering would I actually get the 9g profit?
Not sure where you got that 17 silver number. I been selling them 19 + all day for the last week.
Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are stating there but I also am fairly sure if you averaged out what I have been able to get for my opened ones compared to selling them all at 19s/each the uniden is WAY more profitable
Maybe I didn’t miss something and everyone is making them right now while I wait for a reply ROFL
I think it does…
OK,
So lets start out with that I seem to be horrible on making money on the tp lol.
I was trying to look more at GW2spidy and understand all the graphs and what not to help me. One thing I seem to be missing or its not there is how many of an item are actually selling and the listed sell price. So for example I see an item that says maybe 10 supply 557 demand and it has a listed sell min and buy max. How do I know if the things are actually selling at the price showing. For example it looks like you could make a good profit by making Valkyrie destroying long bow. But I would guess if you could make a reliable 10ish gold each time people would be making them like crazy….
So what am I missing if anyone could help me out explaining the basics of what I should be looking for I would appreciate it.
I used to open them till they got above 16s each. I am too poor to lose that much money now :-(
It is tough though and sometimes I open one just to satisfy my need to gamble it lol
interesting point about crafted rares… I have had pretty bad luck on dropped rares maybe .7-.8 per rare. Last night I crafted 6 rares to complete my 400 tailor skill I got multiple 3 ecto salvages and ended up with an average of 2 ectos per rare on the 6 i salvaged. Would be interesting to hear if anyone else notices a difference in dropped vs salvaged or if i finally just got the upswing on luck after all the 0 drops.
I ended up ignoring the cost comparison and just making anything I could. Probably why I am always poor but like you said I got tired of trying to compare it all and just played the game.
I would even settle for the REDUCING the number of chests that drop. I have over 100 of them in my bank and they are pretty much worthless. If they at least lower the chest drop rate I can get usable loot in its place. The only explanation that makes sense is they want people to buy keys with gems.
^^ this
I have had very bad luck with upgrading tiers
Quaggan backpacks…. enough said
Thank you. That would probably explain it. Glad I sold the ones I did before it happened
So I figured I would ask all you market experts here. Last week I sold some orrian truffles for a bit over 3.5s a piece. Last night I went to sell a few more and they are under 1s. That was a HUGE drop…. what did I miss?
I asked this a while back and that answer I got was that in most cases you will never do this. It seems more costly to make the bundle of armor then to get them seperately.
There is a thread about closing or deleting the aswemosium process or something like that floating around here but I haven’t seen it for a while.
That is blizzard you can’t compare the 2. Blizzard has been know for slow to release but very well done products… well except diablo III which I think they botched lol. But if you try to compare the features within the game from blizzard games to GW2 you will be dissapointed. I mean look at how full featured the level of control is in guild systems for WoW. I do like the game but you just can’t compare the in game supported features
what is the problem you see… that would help you to get fix suggestions
Did you ever think that maybe if there was a problem with ori being above the value anet wanted it to dropping in that perma node would be a control mechanism not an exploit? Just saying

fractal bags. (150-green, 200-rare, 250-exotic)
my point was if you get all bags as cheapest fractal bag (150relic) they all will prefer to store green items, and because you dont have any other bags (well except starter one) those ‘green’ bags will get filled with other stuff, hence losing purpose to store ‘green’ only items.
i have some regular bags at top, for with blue and junk (well exos go there too, but tjhey are once in a blue moon) then fractal bags for greens and yellows, then bag for upgrade components, and finally couple invisible bags.
this makes dealing with looted items easy. as all the blue/white ones end in same place. comfortable to salvage.[/quote]
Thanks that is exactly what i was looking for. i didn’t know they did that. guess I will start running some fractals to get some bags. I will probably set it up the way you mentioned as that will help for salvage vs sell
Wow that seems strong… I mean think of a ranger with zephyr… you get hit a ton of rapid shots… tons of dogs lol
I have had a number of issues with auto attack stopping on my ranger and other targeting issues. I believe someone had a large thread going on it a few days ago. So far as I saw there was no resolution found.
I think we are all interested to see a official response. I believe you are getting more a discussion in the meantime. Maybe the extra interest will get you your response. I definately agree with you I think it should be allowed but as I am sure you are aware people are a bit wary of the ban stick around here.
I would like to know this as well. now that you mention it I had 3 “green family dyes” with 1 pink one last night and got a Green “green family” dye back for my 4 blues
and btw i wouldn’t get fractal-only bags like someone above hinted. because then i’d lose ‘seperate greens from other junk’ option. which i love now, as fractal bags make green/rare items grouped (as long as there are empty slots in the ‘regular’ bags above). then i can mindlessly spam salvage on everything in a row, knowing there are only blues and whites. aw yeah, and i got seperate bag for upgrade components, so that they dont get in the way either.
Wait I think I almost missed something. What bag allows me to seperate my green and higher items from my blue and white items?
I can’t find the one I had bookmarked at home. But here is one that seems to have everything in it. http://www.guildwars2-crafting.com/crafting-guides/huntsman/
good point mouse wear and tear :-)
I am fairly certain that they have stated macro’s can be a violation. i am not sure the level of detail as to if some are ok and others are not. Would be interested to see if this is ok’d
The best way for a player to assess whether a specific third-party program could have any impact on another player or a PvP opponent is to ask:
“Does this program allow someone to play faster, better, longer, or more accurately than someone who doesn’t use it?”
“Does this program allow someone to ‘play’ when he/she is not at the computer?”
“Does this program allow the user to gain undeserved rewards?”
If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”—or even “maybe”—then we strongly recommend that you do not use the program because to do so may place your Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2 account in jeopardy.
That line would make me nervous as the macro will allow you to salvage faster = more profit/minute then someone not using it.

I have tried the “promotion” thing only 3 times.. but i have lost a least 30-40 s on each attempt.
There has been one noticeable exception to the rule… one craft I really found fun and rewarding. Unfortunately it isn’t in GW2, so forgive me for pointing at another MMO, it was engineering in WOW. And it had all to do with fun gadgets (that could backfire), utilities and fun consumable items that you could not get any other way (soulbound or atleast requiring having the craft learned), even if some took quite a bit of money and time investment. With various degrees of actual in game usefulness… but I loved them all.
to be honest, WoW engineering is what makes me feel this way.
no real high end stuff, but lots of fun stuff could be put into your build and add some spice to the character, and only you were able to use these stuff.
I remember loving my engineering on WoW there were so many crazy goofy items that were bind on creation rocket boots come to mind. I second making some BoC recipes for the crafts
Yeah if you just do dredge and centaur potions I think it was you will level quickly and cheaply. I think I ended up with 300-400 centaur potions fo one rank or another which i sold back to the vendor.
The most cost efficient bag in my opinion by far is the 15 slotters with the rune for 50s. I Only ones I have higher then that were Event bags like karka and now that I know I can get them will probably work on fractal bags. I never thought about buying bag slots being more efficient use of the gold thanks for that tip. That being said the gem to gold inflation thing is killing me. I really want another bank slot. i remember I got my first bank slot expansion 600 gems for less then 6 gold.
I mainly use the crafting as a way to gain levels. For the most part it is a long term gold loss as crafting is very hard to make profitable. But the exp gained is great.
Warmaster Jofast went for close to an hour last night. The spawn rate was so fast that every time we got down to 1 or 2 risen remaining another 6 would pop. we had like 15-20 people on it for close to an hour. We finally manage to complete it by strategically placing 2 people in each possible spawn point. I think I made like 4g in items and drops.
My understanding if you were using all rares is that you should receive 1 rare or a small chance for 1 exo but never nothing back
I asked about this at one point in my guild. They pop out of stealth for VERY brief times between stealthing. If they have all the traits, slot skills and what not it can look very like perma stealth. Saw a thief run around in the middle of 15 people never coming out of stealth long enough for anyone to target him and use a skill. We ended up chasing him off with massive aoe but it was pretty stupid that he could sustain it that long.
I also have had this issue and it is only with my ranger. You are in range, do not select another target. The auto attack just stops.. almost like it loses the target for a moment. If you hit 1 again it will start auto attacking the original target again but this happens to me more frequently in dungeons. I am guessing it is due to some sort of loss of LoS
Most likely this was a rune effect or racial elite
It seems to create you a new support account if you put the contact email as different email. This happened to me a few times I believe I have 2-3 support accounts.
I think I ended up with over 300 potions of centaur slaying of one tier or another. Very efficient cost wise plus you can sell them back for a small amount to vendor
I would agree I think destroyer looks nice it just has costly mats.
I thought the exact same thing… the final rewards for me 3 green items + 1 rare weapon with fixed stats that rarely anyone would use as the finale reward for the entire story quest had me upset. I definately would not repeat it. At least make for a better stat combo on the token reward weapon although who wouldn’t at least have an 80 rare weapon by the time they finished this story….
Also…. does anyone actually pick the flame ram?
