Well, a lot of games have a hotbar-slots/hotkeys for consumables so it’s not an unusual request~
I like the way Elder Scrolls Online does it.
A cooking show where Josh Foremen destroys monsters with his bare hands and turns their mangled bodies into delicious recipes? :o
Screaming is very healthy for you. Go outside and try it. Scream as loud as you can.
Inb4 Marjory is an illusion
That would conflict with my Kasmeer is a Mesmer clone theory.
A clone created just before the real Kasmeer died using the strongest Mesmer magic in existence and will only disappear when it completes it’s mission.
I’m glad that I got the responses I got and people did not just put get better or learn to play.
Like I said this issue is an issue in WvW as the amount of damage is huge and the defense you can have from stealth is also the best. Not to say that it doesn’t require skill to be good. But I think there is no punishment for missing backstab. Some people don’t see it that way.
But here is an example. Thief get shadow of refuge. 12-15 secs of invisibility. The person knows the thief is out to backstab. So he dodges and evades the backstab. He dodges again and evades it again. He blocks it and prevents the backstab. Most blocks with counters don’t hurt thieves on backstabs since its not facing them. He uses aegis preventing the backstab again. He then evades again. And after he has exhausted his damage prevention. He gets backstabbed as the thief still had 3 more seconds of invisibility. His damage drops to 1/3 if he is tanky at all. He gets hit by 5 then invisi leap and damage 2. His health is close to 1/2 and now he has to worry about backstab again.
Yes there is counters such as area attacks. But those are defensive and require the thief to knowingly step in the areas. Which any good thief will not do.
Lets see how it would work if the enemy broke stealth on block or evade. Thief goes shadow of refuge and is going to try and backstab the enemy. He sees the enemy blocking so he better wait till the blocking is finished. Thief sees aegis so be should have hit it with the bow before going stealth. Thief know that the enemy will try to evade at a certain time mark after he went invisible so he should try and backstab either before or after. Basically adding more thinking into the game. Which is always good. Now if damage of skills need to be changed to reflect the added challenge that is fine. But the mechanics should involve thinking not just same repeated patterns that work regardless.
I don’t play thief. But I have been trying it on PvP. Using the patterns I pointed out work pretty well. Of course I get owned by experience thieves. But do well against other classes.
Here’s a secret for you then~ Actually when this happens and you get a Thief to Shadow Refuge in a fight you actually will have the advantage here because he just threw himself into a cage he can’t leave. Shadow Refuge is a false sense of stealth since it tells the enemy exactly where you are. AoE the Refuge, use a knockback or just AA all over the place and you’ll most likely force him to reveal himself early or kill him. The moment the Thief steps out of Refuge’s ring he’ll be revealed whether he attacks or not~ so it won’t matter how many time he fails his backstab when you got so many free fist throws and will still have your block on. I’ve killed countless caged Thieves this way. Some may use Refuge as a distraction and Shadowstep out of it instead since it’s dangerous to use this way against smart players but you’d notice if you’re paying attention.
Your sensual grunting and shouting heals them and gives them vigor to allow them to run away, even tho it wears off pretty fast.

Give the bags to your Lv. 80 and open them.
The loot will be based on his lvl and not your alts.
The medium armor choices are absolutely hideous. My 1 wish for GW2 is to have GW1 armor skins(and other GW1 skins) to become available in the gem store. NOW THAT I would break out my CC to buy.
Dunno why they don’t do this. The exact moment I see Assassin Kurzick/Luxon styled armor thrown into the gem store I’m just going to whip my wallet at them, but they don’t seem to want my money.
It was pretty cheap for me to make it, which made me very happy cuz I wanted a zerker ascended back for quite some time (had soldier one from fractal). Now I can use my relics for alt.
I already had Leatherworking to 500 though and a few Elona leather in bank. Probably cost me around 30g to make it. Screw infusing it with 250 ectos though, lol.
Yes, there’s in fact 0 for males. Makes me sad.
I’d love to be able to use them on land. In reality you could use those same weapons on land anyways so why not?
Personally is rather have an elite signet. Like reduced CC effects on its passive. Stability/regen/a stun break on activation
Can I have something like This as a Thief Signet? I love this shield.
Don’t forget that they need to change it to a Shortbow so I can make one for my Thief.
Kiwi’s are delicious
and adorable because they’re fuzzy.
Wait the fruit or the bird? Actually both are cute and fuzzy, but only one is delicious.
Both, and both are.
Can we have one for Boosters too?
Kiwi’s are delicious
and adorable because they’re fuzzy.
I can easily identify a skill clicker (and keyboard turners) in PvP and as a Thief I exploit the hell outa it by instinct and annihilate them. Even if you think you’re an amazing player, you will without a doubt be way better if you used hotkeys~ you don’t have fast enough control over everything at once if you’re wasting all this time clicking all over the place. I’d understand if you have a valid excuse, like being disabled, then you’ll have to just master an inferior playstyle as much as possible.

Pfft, I farmed the crap outa that dungeon, running it a totally insane amount of times and put more than enough effort into it to deserve getting one yet never did so bleh. I have no pity for such things. :P
I want a pet Crab. I loved the GW1 ones. Blue VS Red
What are you spending Found Belongings on?

No ones going to spend them on Peaches?
Because they don’t want you to quit the wurm. It’s lonery.
It sounds awful and unnecessary. They could always just delete Thief Traps and make Ambush Trap ground target summon an evil clone that attacks people instead.
Hidden checklist within an achievement.

Not difficult to write down the list and check them off as you complete them. Even during the most hectic battles, a simple mark by the list item is still easy to make.
Nah, that’s way too much effort. It’ll also break immersion and lower the fun, exciting atmosphere. Let’em have his convenience. There’s really no reason to not add what he’s asking and it’s a perfectly justified thing to ask for.
Pen and paper are your friends
You’re murdering my Sylvari’s friends to make that paper.

Mostly rumor and hearsay, but it tastes like the ArenaNet design style to me, so I’m hopeful. Try here.
Oh, the fake patch notes. ;/ The spirit weapon thing woulda been fun. Maybe they’ll consider some of those made up ones as good ideas they should use.
I suggest you wait until the next balance patch because warriors are going to get hit pretty hard with the nerf bat.
Judging from what I’ve heard Warriors are going to get a slap on the wrist with a nerf bat – a bunch of fairly small, fairly deserved tweaks. I read it as going to be more of a case of some of the under-performers getting some genuine positive tweaks and maybe coming a little closer to par…
…And Guardian Spirit weapon builds dancing the streets accompanied by a cloud of their newly indestructible blue buddies
. That is going to rock so hard.
Where is this spirit weapon info? :o
I doubt it, but I do wish everything was at least account bound if needing to be bound period. Mainly ascended weapons/armor and legendarys.
If Scarlet cared at all she wouldn’t send her own minions to kill people along side the miasma. ;s

Jus’ Curious: Has this thread changed anyone’s mind who already didn’t like the airship thing?
Also, please put a Mystic Forge in the Grove. Just thought I’d throw that in here as well.
One of the hardest achievements to get for some reason. I’ve seen whole guilds formed just to farm giants in the few places they spawn. This might help future giant hunters:
http://dulfy.net/2013/05/13/gw2-slayer-achievements-guide/#16
It’s reaaaaaaaaally not worth the effort. ;s
Guardians can do some heavy damage but they have to sacrifice survivability due to naturally low HP. War doesn’t really need to sacrifice anything to be super durable and do insane damage and are made to be extremely easy to play. Wars are Anet’s little sugarbabies and you’ll be set for life as a Warrior. I personally find Guardian more fun though because there’s a lot of completely different ways you can play it, and you have access to a lot of weapons that remain useful with nearly any build. It’s probably the most complete-designed class in the game.
IDK why Anet puts so many location restrictions on harmless items like these so often. If it doesn’t give you an advantage in combat, stats and so on and are purely visual, I don’t see why they’re not usable everywhere.
They can’t even create normal looking pants for female light armor users so don’t hold your breath.
They don’t give males pants either.
I have a hard time applying the term “High Fantasy” to Cartoonish.
I understand that tastes vary, but call it what it is.
Target Market. Because a big percentage of those who will cry “No WoW” in GW actually DO want WoW gear.
kitten is that? That art style hurts my soul.
Even this build is UP compared to Warriors …
True, 30/30/30/30/30 can provide a good challenge to a skilled warrior.
But we needed something stronger, something that could take down warriors with ease. After closing in on 3000 hours in the game, I’ve finally come up with the build. I’ve both played thief and warrior to learn how to master them, theorycrafted for 20 hours every sunday, to finally achieve this build so many thieves seem to have, the build that has insane regen, insane mobility, insane condition removal, permastealth, permablind and backstabs for 17k.
So here it is… The Almighty… The legendary….
40/40/35/40/40 – GS/P + SB
lol @ deselected Last Refuge. ilu. Also nice being able to use Warrior LB Burst with Steal.
Can we have the real leaked patch notes then? XD
Wish I could actually build a fully functional sink in my Home Instance out of Bloodstone Bricks. Actually just let me build an entire house out of them. GW2 Minecraft edition.
Detonate utterly destroys classes like Mesmer. I would assume this plays into it – I am uncertain that this will be a severe hindrance. Thieves do rely on it heavily when fighting classes like engies, mesmers, eles, and there are quite a few warrior builds that demand its usage – not being able to put a dent into warriors is extremely worrisome.
Actually a funny story about that~ I ran into a Warrior in WvW a while back who was AFK on top of a Fort Wall. I could only reach him with my Shortbow so I started pew pewing him. He had Regen Signet on and just kept healing all damage my Cluster Bombs hit him for easily. I poisoned him periodically and kept Cluster Bombing him over and over for like 5-10mins before I finally downed him. o.O Then a Thief showed up and rezzed him at last second and I /facepalm. :/
10/30/30 Full zerker w/ ascended and could not kill a Warrior who was AFK with Cluster Bomb and Poison because of a single auto-functioning signet. .-.
But for me personally it’s balanced since I believe all Warriors have an unfair advantage of having more HP than me naturally. :P I get to have my HP at least slightly closer to how much a vit-less War has. If they remove it it should only be removed from Warrior access and have it give them a shoulder rabbit or something instead.
Well, he’s doing a pretty awful job considering the place is still crawling with undead and undead events, I figured magical necrosalad power was much better then that.
Don’t blame him for how the game’s designed. He’s doing the best he can despite being given nothing to work with.
Every Thief craves something new and tries so hard to find it through our extremely limited options so you can’t really expect too much.
That’s why we Steal.
Too bad we can’t steal entire weapon sets. Then we could be copycat ninjas.
You…do realize that almost every thief has a shortbow as a swap weapon 90% of the time, right? It’s one of our strongest weapons, hands-down, even if we don’t use it as a primary weapon.
Obviously, it’s our only viable range weapon and best means of tagging mobs. So we need it for times when melee isn’t the best option. Doesn’t mean it’s the strongest, it just has a lot of uses. Dagger main-hand = strongest. They really need to stop messing with it unless they plan on giving us more range weapons or redesigning pistols.
Wait…people used Detonate? Where the bombs exploded at was so random that it wasn’t worth exploding most of the time.
You Detonate at close range. Especially useful if running Signet of Malice.
(edited by Doggie.3184)
Pretty sure you all are blind.
It is in fact good changes!Instead of nerfing multiple skills in one patch, only one is being nerfed.
Instead of a giant nerf, it’s a small nerf.
Instead of nerfing crucial skills/traits, it’s a random skill that’s not really going to have much of an impact… (o.O did anyone see it coming? are we really going to QQ about a little poison duration reduction… compared to other nerfs we had…)I don’t know guys, but I think it some good changes… Lol, it’s almost like you guys are expecting buffs to be handed out to us…
Nah, patch notes always have a random thief nerf thown in that was not only never discussed by Anet anywhere prior, but was never asked for by even Thief haters.
It reminds me of the gw1 halo /horns from wintersday.
Except those ones didn’t float. They hid your headpiece though, which would be better than floating imo o.o
So they won’t clip with helmets, of course.
Horns are supposed to clip with helmets. They’re pointy and poke holes through them. :o
Probably the only thing that justifies clipping other than Charr tails.
They could just stick’em onto the head and make them longer~

I’d love to see 1000 blade shards = a selfless potion! but ya know, that would be too easy
A blade shard -> Obsidian shard though, phew, that would be ideal for me!
selfless poitions are already hard to get, this would make them too much easier to get. leave it as-is. blade shards (but in stacks of 20-50) to obsidion shards is something i find agreeable, tho
Unless you’re like me and have no use for them. o.o
Medium armor classes privliege for once
It’s their way of making it up to us for giving us the worst looking armor. I’d rather spend 225 though if it means I’d be allowed to dress nicer. :s
Getting the spinal blades to ascended takes almost 1000 shards, I think that’s enough of a sink!
I made the Tempered back piece. I have 1613 Blade Shards leftover. :s
I’m feeling a little lost. How are we supposed to color these?
I must have missed that announcement.
We can’t yet till they add the next itemz.
It like a big shout out to City of Villains.
So this is where I felt it familiar from. :o
Rawr, now if only they’d copy their Water power mechanics for a new Ele weapon.
Let us turn them into ninja bundles so we can throw them at things. o3o
Maybe one day they’ll be used as ammo fired from the Tempered Blades. .-.
