Do Asuras and Norns have relatively similar hitboxes or does it vary? Enough to make a change in PvP?
ie) Smallest Asura and Largest Norn.
Moved. Thanks Mods!
NA is superior to EU?
Do servers [ ie) BlackGate ] affect my ping?
I live in Australia.
I am aware this is probably a stupid question, so sorry about that <3
If for pve:
You should just go full berserker gear, or knight’s if you’re, uhhm, unsure of your skills.Troll unguent is not a boon but an effect. Just like consumables have an effect, they don’t count as boons. That is, troll unguent will always heal you when used and can’t be ripped, cleansed, stolen etc like the boon regeneration.
Axe is imo inferior to Sb but I won’t go into details and formulate a 1-page long paragraph.
Thanks for the reply!
So Troll Unguent doesn’t count as a boon, oops, nooby mistake :p
What about Axes though? I didn’t mention them, do you mean
" Axes are superior to SBs " ?
I’ve got another question :d
What are combos, can they enhance PvP? What kind of things do they bring? I have no idea on the matter.
/edit: enhance as in skill; can they enable you to outplay and do more dps? Like orb walking in LoL, or something like that?
Sorry if I’m confusing, I have no idea what combos are, except that they exist.

Whoa, so many answers. I’ve changed my mind about PvP, seems like it does require skill.
Thanks for taking your time to reply!
Imo, dodge only provides a small window of counterplay, however, I have yet to see how effective it can be when mastered.
Thanks for the comments, have a good day!
Hai, Dragonfeu here.
I was wondering if GW2 PvP required skill, and if so, what kind of skills?
eg) LoL requires animation cancelling to optimize damage output
PvPing in MC, if you can strafe, you reduce damage taken as your opponent will have a hard time hitting you.
In GW2, bows lock-on to your target, and it seems to me that little skill is required in PvP except for mashing the (1) button and predicting enemy burst, and countering it with a dodge roll.
Thoughts?
I’m talking about Ranger PvP, although any ranged weapon seems to have the same dilemma. I’ve probably screwed up with my generalization, Sorry!
Hai, I’m Dragonfeu — I’ve got a ranger build I aim to reach upon leveling to 80, what are your thoughts on it? Thanks! :>
Pets: Lashtail Devourer ( a ranged brusier-like pet )
Stalker ( applies vulnerablilty and gives might )
Shortbow/Sword, Warhorn — Both high DPS weapons; the LB is only good in WvW imo PvE is more close up ( unless it’s a massive boss and you have 50+ players helping )
Traits:
Marksmanship – SteadyFocus/PiercingArrows (4)
Skirmishing – Agility Training/QuickDraw (4)
WildernessSurvival – (1) Natural Vigour
NatureMagic – Strength of Spirit, Evasive Purity (5)
These are traits that aim for a tanky, but high dps ranger. Thoughts?
Gear: Soldier ( Power, Toughness, Vitality ) with the " Rune of the Ranger "
Sigils:
SB – Frailty
Sword – Battle
Warhorn – Force
Survival Skills:
Troll Unguent ( works well with Bountiful Hunter )
Signet of the Wild/Hunt/Renewal
Rampage as One
Any suggestions? What kind of equipment should I get? Precision/Power/Ferocity?
Thanks!
