For problem A, I’m still working on it, perhaps we can convince the Council to allow for a one way opening in the force field to allow exiting the city via the slide.
For problem B, it’s a simple matter of firing a sonic wave disruption device at the water’s surface to break the water tension before striking the surface. We should be able to get one perminantly installed at the splashdown pool.
How about this, they can’t SEND mail, but can recieve it and they can’t use any Zone Wide chat or Whisper/Tells, just local chat, emotes party and guild chat.
You don’t have to dig through your inventory. Use an Invisible Bag/Safe Box in your inventory. Put your stuff in there, in the order you want it in, and it will never move, will always be seperated from the rest of your inventory, can’t be accidentally stowed/sold.
Press I, get your stuff.
If you swap from 2 weapons to a 2h weapon your primary weapon gets the same inventory slot your 2h weapon had and the secondary weapon lands in the first available inventory slot making it possible to accidently sell or salvage it. This is BAD, I’ve done this and it sucks.
It is faster for a “bot” to log back in the game then a human, and the bots don’t care, but humans do.
Diminishing Returns is also hurting Humans more then Bots, to the point where some people are sure to be tempted to buy gold from the botters/hackers because they can’t make it on their own.
My suggestion is a bit more friendly to Humans. Give us a /bot command. When we see a suspected Bot we target them and type /bot when they aquire enough “points” from different people labeling them as a bot they get teleported to a simple puzzle, something a human could figure out but a bot wouldn’t. At the end is a minor reward to compensate a human for completing it and proving they arn’t a bot, freeing them from the area and possibly making them at least temporarily immune to the /bot flag. (And perhaps notifying those who did a /bot command on them that they flagged a non-bot.)
I would love to be able to collect equipment skins. Something like right clicking the item and getting the option to collect the skin or a new item that you can use on an item to collect it’s skin. You can then visit an NPC or some kind of crafting station to use a transmutation stone to apply any collected skin compatible with an item onto your current item. This would, by nessesity, either soul bind or account bind the item to prevent people from skinning an item to give to some one else to collect the skin.
I have NEVER found a key, I have only gotten them for completing exploration achievements. I have 25 chests sitting in my inventory.
How about a Trial Server, if they buy the game they get a free server transfer to a non-trial server. The trial is there to get people to try the game out, see how well it runs on their system and see if they like the game mechanics.
Another idea, one that would let people try the game with thier friends before buying would be to grant Veteran players Trial Keys they can give out to their friends, good to get them on the same server only as the Veteran player linked to the token. Only Vets who’s accounts are in good standing recieve trial keys. The Vets can then get a new key once the Trial account is upgraded or after a certain ammount of time if the account is not upgraded. Vets who invite players who are then reported as botters/spammers/gold sellers should have their ability to get Trial keys either revoked or suspended.
How about, we stick to WoW for our shapeshifting druids?
WoW should never be used as a comparison for anything, they stole just about every concept within the game from another game.
Shapeshifting druids? Try every druid in every game that ever came before it, for MMO’s try EverQuest.
I have to say, I really like the idea of a shape-shifting class.
Here is my thought, they collect animals like Rangers do, but instead of calling them as pets OR shaping changing into them like Mojo suggests, just shape change into them. They can select a number they can have “equipped” like many classes can do with weapons. They switch with the hot keys say F1-F4 if they can equip 4 forms. Each form grants unique abilities dependent on equipped weapons. Like the Experimentalist, they shouldn’t be able to hot swap weapons, just forms, in combat. Due to the large number of possible forms each animal could fall into a set that determines what abilities they get. Each form “slot” would be of a specific type that you could only equip a form of the same type into. Different forms within a slot are primarily for aesthetics. If feasible, it would be nice for different forms to grant at least one unique ability but with the number of possible forms that could be collected this may not be reasonable.
Possible Form Types could include:
Quickness Forms
Durability Forms
Damage Forms
Utility/Healing Forms
Thanks to Anets network verification system where they e-mail you for permission to let a new network access your account my account was protected when some one in China attempted to login to my account. I’ve changed my password though I have no idea how they got my username and password to begin with because I don’t use that combo anywhere else.
I do wonder if there is a way to give Anet the heads up to just block the offending network from attempting to login to anyones account.
I’m an elementalist, I’ve fought underwater enough to know just how powerfull I am underwater. There are mobs I wouldn’t even contemplate attacking on my own on land that I annialate in the water. Seriously, the Water Attunement in Water rocks! I got a heal that hurts the enemy and makes them sink… away from me while healing me and allies, my auto attack isn’t too bad damage wise, Ice Wall is great for getting me away from them briefly AND doing a good amount of damage. and Title Wave, dang that does alot of damage AND it heals allies! Our elite Whirlpool can wipe fairly large groups of normal mobs underwater in seconds.
My guess is, the biggest problem with underwater combat is peoples lack of pratice.
I would like to see waypoint travel stop scaling with player level. Scaling with Distance and the level of the Area is fine, but why is it costing more to travel in a 1-15 area at level 80 then at level 1?
Additionaly, I think either all towns, or at least Lions Arch should have a single Free Waypoint, meaning you can teleport there for free from anywhere. Why? Because people are already doing it via the Mists but with an extra loading screen or two. Why not cut down the loading time for players, and the strain on the servers caused by it, and just let us teleport directly there for free?
Seeing people say Kitten, is getting realy annoying and can be confusing, especialy when you don’t know why they just said Kitten instead of a filtered word.
Please change it. You don’t need to change it to [Expletive Deleted] but something that indicates the filter triggered would be nice. Heck, if you want to still say Kitten I wouldn’t mind as much if it was [Kitten]. (Using brackets to represent a word replaced.)
This realy needs fixed. You can’t kep track of a small bag dropping at your feet during a running battle!
WvW “loot” is basicly non-existant. As it is, I can bearly keep up with repair costs via defence/offence “event” completions.
Please, just give us the money and loot automaticly, or put it in an “account” that we have to visit a specific place to collect like the Black Lion Traders does.
I am now level 64, and have never had a key drop.
I have 0 problems with PvE using Staff only. I primarily go fire, I will switch to earth if I need the projectile reflect. I can take some Vets solo. You just need to know how to use your skills and when to dodge. Remember, Burning Retreat not only creats a line of fire, but it also is a 0 endurence dodge backwards.
In a tough fight I may switch to Water for some heals but this generaly is a last ditch effor to survive if I am fighting solo.
Do Not forget about Combos, even when operating Solo you can combo off your own fields. Fire, Water and Air all create fields with the Staff and Earth has 3 finnishers. You also have access to Arcane Wave and Arcane Bolt if you buy those slot skills, they are also finnishers and can allow you to Combo without switching elements.
