Thread is moot imo.
Assuming player has moderate intelligence, Motivation + Time = Player Skill. If you have the drive and time you can solo dungeon paths if you want. In the end if your at the point of boredom to solo dungeons it’s probably time to look for another game unless your boosting a massive ego.
I put my money on a faulty stick of ram. It can take 20+ tests with memtest86 to find a problem with memory.

Its because everything about the dungeon is kitten compared to the other kitten dungeons.
EDIT:
Elementalist: We still havnt addressed the core problem of them. While conjurer are a nice gimmick and fun in LA, can have some good damage potential, this is not what has been asked by the ele community.
Right now we are sitting on the lowest hp pool of all classes. Without access to stealth (thieves) or clones/stealth(mesmers) nor aegis/protection(mesmer guardians) constantly being reapplying itself, we are FORCED (yes, you read that right, forced) to go with cantrips, water, some earth and 30 point arcana.
Eles have access to 20 different weapons skills at once… some highly defensive.
The only thing I would change about the ele is maybe some scepter/staff skills. Other than that they are well balanced.
The whole reason your gaming experience was ruined was because this content is in the open world. Because of this one hundred people are punished for the choices of six individuals whether they don’t know what to do or just being trolls and there is no solution to remove them from the turret once they are on.
Arena Net is also just plain bad at implementing content, they always seem to put it in the worst possible place. A notable example are Precursors. Why does getting one just come down to luck or a fat wallet…
Hands down this encounter should be in an instanced dungeon or raid and the fact they put it in the open world makes me question their ability to create decent future content… even more so than the past lame updates
The 320.49 nvidia driver is unstable. Reports are that it crashes a lot and causes BSODs
or how about make healing better. im tired of support taking a back seat while dps is driving with control of the radio. and control got kicked out of the car while moving.
You know what’s really brilliant though?
Introducing a gold sink in disguise by encouraging people to use or TP blues/greens rather than vendor them.
Way more brilliant than the dust/ecto salvage fix.
in the long run it will even out once people get more magic find
90% of what I see here is pure speculation. All we know is Tequatl will have an 80 player cap and be reworked to a much higher difficulty. The real question is will it be a separate instance or will the encounter be walled off so other people on the map cant join.
lack of tanks and healers
This sword needs to have the same particle effect size as the FDS and it needs to give off a soft blue light instead of regular.
Thief – 0/30/0/20/20, D/P & P/P
Withdraw
Assassins Signet
Roll For Initiative
Signet of Shadows
Thieves Guild
Was actually really easy once I got the hang of it. Withdraw and Roll for Initiative were extremely useful if I got caught in the middle of her AoEs with no Endurance left, Signet of Shadows for obvious perma speed boost. Pop Thieves Guild at the start of phase 2 and spam unload on her. Ricochet helped when her visions got in the way.
In all its ok content. I would much rather see these mechanics go into raid bosses or something.

There are several things wrong with liadri
1. I believe the orbs are bugged, Projectile attacks are obstructed when they are in clear sight.
2. The massive amount of red circles are camouflaged in with the texture of the ground .
3. Gamma errors when the screen goes dark.
4. The dome makes camera angles highly irritating. This comes into play when she puts the vortex on the edge of the arena.
5. This applies to the entire arena and game but i feel must be said, go zerker or go home.
6. It also doe not help when a dome bugs and you go in to fight her then get hit by invisible tornadoes.
Warrior don’t need no nuthin to soak up damage yo! True warrior dies in battle yo! Besides, we have the largest health pool and a ton of toughness, which obviously solves all our problems. Especially in a condition heavy game where everyone is spamming AoE and feeling awesome.
Yo!
Except toughness is a horribly implemented stat. You can’t spec for high toughness and expect to deal decent enough damage before something kills you. Anet can’t balance toughness to be in the warriors favor either because every class has access to it.
Anet has said multiple times if the Warrior gets anymore survival they will break the game. What Warriors need is more reworking of traits and a few changes to weapon skills.
I will agree warriors get kitten on by everything in pvp but some of these traits are blatantly overpowered, especially the 10% of toughness is given as a bonus to power. Thick skin would also be in every warrior build unless it was moved to the end minor trait in Defense. Honestly I would like to see Defy Pain have some sort of damage reduction akin to your version of thick skin except instead of 40% have it be 50% and Spiked armor needs a 10 second cool down instead of 15.
Main problem with the warrior atm is its far to stat dependent and the traits are positioned so freakin horribly thakittens either go damage and die right away or live and deal no damage, thus prolonging the inevitable. Only build that is currently viable is a sword/mace condition warrior but necros and mesmers will stomp you to kitten still.
To maintain balance you have to compromise and not go overboard. Anet tends to do that with kitten like the necro recently and the dervish in GW1.
Anet, your profanity filter needs work yo
(edited by Dromar.1027)
Looks like you put in a lot of work. Unfortunately chances are Anet is not going to be adding more professions to preserve balance as much as possible. Besides the Ritualist was torn apart to create some of the professions we have now.
Id rather have legendary armor.
Knowing the percentage would be extremely useful. They could totally implement this.
I am getting disconnected frequently within FotM and personal stories across multiple characters. Within the open game world and the 8 original dungeons my connection is solid but in FotM and personal stories I get dced many times over annoying.
Eles should be able to equip different weapons to attunements so the player can play with all the skills he wants without getting stuck with 1-2 skill sets that the player hates, Like Air and Water with S/D. A good example is you can have D/D for your fire attunement, Staff for Water/air and Scepter/D for Earth.
Any objections?
1)Play the game.
2)Get Rares.
3)Salvage Rares.
4)Save for gear or sell.
5)Progress or profit.
In 5 easy steps your problem can be solved. If your looking for exotic gear then do Dungeons. I’ve had good exotic drops in FotM.
So what I read in this thread is Anet needs a LFG system(this is a yes) and people are mean(this is the internet, what do you expect?).
It sounds like to me the reason for this thread is, “GW2 is not the way I want it to be”, it is impossible to please everyone.
The only good reason I can see for not playing anymore is the DR crap they put in that hurt legitimate players just as much as bots and low population servers that make it seem like I’m playing a solo game. Also numerous bugs that can frustrate players to no end like dungeons that force players to reset because the npc got stuck.
Things such as new content like FotM and Lost Shores were introduced because of the game having no endgame content, you can’t blame Anet for trying to put some in at the players demand. FotM was a success in my eyes to give people some hardcore content, Sunshore Cove though seems stale.
The games PvP does seem to be suffering. WvW is only fun when your running around with an organized guild instead of a random zerg and I don’t know anyone interested in sPvP. At this rate it will never become an e-sport which is something Anet shouldn’t shoot for because people will take it too seriously and suck the fun right out of it. It’s a game, it’s supposed to be fun not a job.
If you gambled in the mystic forge that’s your own fault. Statistics now show that getting a precursor the Mystic Forge way is fool hearty.
I still play GW2 but my beefs with it are
1) Class imbalances.
2) Dungeon imbalances.
3) Irritating bugs(ex. hodgins doesn’t trigger the final cutscene in AC path 1 and no tokens).
4)The server I am on is low population therefore making zones empty and zero fun while leveling. This is probably due to people crowding in servers winning WvW constantly.
TBH this new event is something to do for people who have had nothing to do for over a month so I will support it then judge it accordingly when I can play the content.
“I can’t wait to do nothing but grind gold after hitting 80”
Instead of messing with the gear system why not have traits that are for raids specifically that only work in raid type dungeons and if you want to give it some longevity you can make it so you have to collect random drops from bosses and mobs to finally acquire the trait.
because that gates content from those who dont have the time to collect the random drops within a week. Those who don’t have the drops won’t be able to participate in raids, and raids then become elitist only. It discriminates between those who have time and those who don’t.
GW2 already discriminates against those who enjoy the game but want a challenge. PvE, sPvP and WvW offer no challenge whatsoever atm. Any decent MMO game should have something to offer to everyone and so far it caters to PvPers and casuals. Most people who want raids that require time and are challenging are not jerk elitists. They are people who want the game to have longevity for them and offer a challenge.
Tengu as new race in cantha FTW.
For Elona I purpose Margonites because in GW1 there were 2 Margonites that turned on Abaddon and with their god dead it seems highly plausible. Hylek are also a possibility.
They could add 1 new weapon for each class to wield. Two Handed Axes are missing from the game.

The armor sets are terrible imo. The weapons would be better if they had some type of frost animation.
I would buy more black lion keys if they were 25-50 gems per. The only item worth anything in the BLCs is the perma bank access which is god awful rare. Maybe put minis in BLCs?
Thank you so much for listening and giving me my items back.
Kudos to Gaile for being awesome.

This is wrong. Have you tried to obtain a precursor on your own? This is our google docs sheet where we keep track on our trys in the forge: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqjFp3hDPMLUdF9KdDNKR0dXSWxSRHotVGpUSVJpM2c#gid=0
Look on what we threw in. We haven’t got a precursor. It seems, that the prices of precursors found now their real value. And what happend was, the prices were too low in the beginning and some people recognised it and bought them, before everybody realizes that the prices has to be much higher.
How am I wrong? I didn’t say anything that was definite. I used legendary precursors as an example because of how rare they are. In MMOs the less of a certain item there is the more chances there are to create a false demand for that item by buying them up then watching the price rise till your satisfied.
I don’t see evidence of any sort of market manipulation, just slightly suspicious price jumps on the TP which doesnt mean didly squat even to me. I also wonder how people supposedly “knew” about the rarity of such items to know that the price would soon skyrocket. Maybe mine the .dat file?
I don’t think the problem here is people playing the TP other than it is bots/gold sellers constantly putting massive amounts of gold into the economy, effectively lowering the value of gold to the point items start rising in prices while the poor farmer earning his wage through dungeons, events, gathering and killing mobs(pretty much just playing the game as intended) can’t keep up with the cost of things because of the gaps between earning gold and high item prices growing larger.
tl;dr: bots and gold sellers are the problem. May Anet strike them all down with lightning.
Whether each persons opinion on this is manipulation or just making money fairly its always going to happen in a supply/demand free market economy which is the system GW2 uses. The smoking gun is when a group of people buy up items like legendary precursors to create a false demand then sell back for double than what they bought it for to the people that genuinely want the item. This is what happened when GW2 first launched and it happened in GW1 with q7/8 weapons after Anet removed them as drops from the game.
If there is evidence of individuals or groups of people creating false demand for super rare items then it would be considered market manipulation in the real world and its very hard to gather evidence to prove its going on, especially in a virtual world like an MMO. The question is does Anet condone it or not.
A good example of creating false demand is the company Enron. Google it.

Just happened to me about 30 minutes ago and since im the one who started the group i got stuck with the bugged instance. Really annoying.
Oh Sure-Shot Samus really pisses me off. The moment he turns on you, you’re down for the count, and then he’ll hit you again just to make sure you don’t get back up. There are more bosses like that, where once they focus on you will keep hitting you till you are back at the waypoint.
Your supposed to keep your distance from him by going outside and switching to a ranged weapon and kite. Keep him crippled and his shotty will never touch you.
Lackluster PVE content devoid of any sort of challenge or skill requirement- FIX PLS

I see people getting punished all the time on bosses such as colossus rumblus but most people have no shame and just say thx bai after the dungeon is done. Some people considered weak latch on to the strong to survive, its an ingenious survival tactic. If this really bothers you why not find an elitist guild to do dungeons with?
The comment about getting gear no better than crafted is hogwash. Some of the dungeon gear has stats you can’t get from crafting such as power/vitality/toughness.
Can only speak for myself and the people I play with, but we seek out events and do every one we come across.
I would like to know which server your on and the guild your with because I would like to join you.
Do you do this in areas across Tyria or just in orr? The server I’m on is terribly empty in low level areas.
I posted in the thread linked by Watari with a new ticket number.
I don’t like the idea of grinding till I inevitably will get the reward like trading 2 million karma for a mini. I want some randomness to it because it makes it exciting to get a drop that is extremely rare. I do agree that karma does need some kind of sinkhole however besides legendaries, mainly because all you need is one for the achievement and many people arent even bothering for legendaries because they suck for the amount of grind you go through(thats peoples opinions btw)
It seems to be true that not a lot care about events anymore because of many reasons.
1. DR
2. People lose interest after hitting 80.
3. Lower level zones are empty and people just grind by themselves.
4. At level 80 karma quickly becomes useless besides obtaining legendaries
5. Many of the DEs become boring quickly due to repetitiveness of event types such as escort this npc or kill this guy.
I think the biggest reason is that karma is handed out too much. Anti grind philosophy is good up until the point you play a MMO for a month then never touch it again till a big update or Xpac and that can be months. I am actually in favor of DR not for the reason Anet mentioned but because it helps the games longevity.
The only solution I can think of is change the reward for events to something else like escort NPCs to give a box of random goodies akin to a lottery or having a boss drop something super rare and unique like a mini pet or weapon skin.

Thank you for the redirect, I didnt hear anything because the 2 tickets I opened were closed long ago.
I ran into this issue right when servers went live for 3 day head start. I had 2 tickets opened then closed so I didnt hear a word about a possible fix, just a note that you were working on one. Missing my Rytlock, Tome and Chalice. Reference number is 121101-001923. Much appreciated if I can get these items back and thanks for listening.
It’s been over two months since the head start launch of GW2 and I have yet to get back my lost DD items Mini Rytlock, Tome of Influence and Chalice of Glory. I contacted support and they said the live team was working on a fix for this and that it happened to the person I was talking with as well.
The loss of the items occurred right when GW2 went live for people who pre purchased I ran into a bug that caused my personal story to disappear. Being only level two and five minutes into the game I was eager to get back in the game and deleted my only character at the time for a quick fix to the issue. After this I realized the items did not generate again.
I just want to know if you guys are still working on a fix or have forgotten about it.
Probably the biggest disappointment with explorable dungeons is that half way through someone gets frustrated and rage quits.
I have to agree that no casting bars for the one shot kills is completely stupid and interrupting them with all the animation effects that are going on is pure dumb luck. Also if mobs can die to traps then the dungeons will be ruined when the idea catches on. You will see your precious prestige gone and everyone will have them on stupid easy farm.
