Video evidence doens’t cut it, because almost all situations are open to interpretation.
~~
Also, I’m not sure of the need for this who aside from sellers. I do a fair amount of runs (for someone with a full time job anyways) and just don’t see these purported kick problems that keep getting mentioned.
Not sure what’s interpretation when you do a dungeon for 20 minutes, post a lfg and get kicked out 10 seconds after. Or what’s interpretation on joining an arah p2 seller and see lupicus skipped.
In the end, Lilith didn’t deserve to be banned from forum for voicing her opinion, to be honest. #salt4lyfe.
But that’s exactly what isn’t allowed here. O.o
Also being dub isn’t allowed here I hear.
(Have you had any insane blank infractions lately or did they fix their robots?)
You can find my last infraction as attachment, second last was on 29th of april.
That doesn’t stop me from having flood control, though.
And the real question — should I still be working on increasing my FotM level, or is it going to get reset with the introduction of masteries? :-(
Noah could use a rainbow on that one.
Yeah I think I do smell a reset in the pack.
Fra..fra…fractal reset?

Giving players de-facto GM rights is not possible in my opinion. Such rights would be abused sooner or later.
It appears you didn’t actually read about the required video evidience, of in case it wouldn’t be present no action could be taken.
That’s why video evidence would be required. If it didn’t exist, ban the guy who gave away the ban. In any way, it could only lead to better results than what we have now.
It could lead to worse results.
I never had a problem with dungeon groups. So no, it would not be any better.
So, we now have kittentons of exploiting dungeon sellers, griefers and people who kick unjustified.
With a dungeon police we’d have kittentons of banned exploiting path sellers, banned griefers and banned people who kicked. For normal dungeon runs without problems there wouldn’t be any change.
Now, please explain what would get worse.

Not sure, I never really used sweetfx. Did gemfx not work?
System partition shouldn’t cause problems (I personally use it), it might at best fail to find the full path name due to some strange required but not given rights. It’s more likely the reinstall of gw2 was the fix, tho.
As for sweetfx, no (easy) solution (I know) to that. Maybe try alternatives like gemfx. Or inject sweetfx after the esp.
The work of your described police is precisely what a Game Master does in game.
More like what game masters would be supposed to do. But I have not seen a single perma ban on griefers yet. Not even on heitred.
If a banned person doesn’t view his ban as justified or claims he didn’t do the action, anet could simply look in the log for the ban of that person and check if a video is embedded. Or just make it so that videos must be embedded for a ban to be given. In the rather unlikely (at least more unlikely than getting griefed now) of an unjustified ban given, anet would have to look over it.
This obviously means some work for them and therefore nothing is going to happen, but it is much less work than actively handling griefers themselves.
Not a good idea. Stop playing alone.
How has that any relation to what’s being suggested?
Those issues you stated are all inapplicable to my suggestion, though. The “police” would have to request and keep video evidence of the kick or other forbidden action. That way, if there was an unjustified ban (I.e. no video proof) the person dishing out the suspension could lose his rights.
I used frifox’ one on windows 8.1, so that shouldn’t be the problem, but maybe try launching it (gw2 and/or injector) in compatibility mode? I did not use any functions that aren’t available in win 8, though.
Judging from the error log, there seem to be more errors than just the one caused by the injection. Tried -repair?
Does Frifox’ dll crash you too?
If all this doesn’t work, I could upload you my debug version with console output, so we would see where the error lies. If it’s within gw2libs initialization process, I’m afraid I can’t help then.

Try to not run it as admin but only as normal user. Do you use windows 8?
Have you followed frifox’ notes? Http://www.github.com/frifox/gw2dps

Great idea, too bad it’s in the trashcan subforum though.
So true. :/
After being kicked out of our own dungeons just again and feeling slowly growing hate into two directions (people being kittenes and still nothing happening about it), I got the idea of a community driven dungeon police.
In case somebody catches exploiters in action selling the path, or being kicked from a legitimely done path when selling, they can send video proof to mentioned “police”.
Those should have the rights to warn – or temporarily ban people for first and later on even give perma bans.
Ideas?
I’d say remove everything that deals damage from the game, so we are forced to let our bears do the work.
In the new site restricted runs will automatically compete in unrestricted ruleset. If that makes any difference.
I actually think that shouldn’t happen, else all records we’ll see will be restricted again.
You must necessarily let restricted ruleset runs compete in unrestricted as well, as they’ll be following all of the rules of unrestricted. The only around this would be to make unrestricted require you to do things that cannot be done in restricted, or create some kind of tremendously silly arbitrary rule that says you can’t post the same record for both even if it conforms to the rules of both (in which case, people could just post their second best run… and we’ve got the same problem).
You won’t see unrestricted die because of this. Unrestricted times will always have the potential of being faster. Saying unrestricted will die because of this is like saying people posting “kittenty” record attempts for restricted after a reset will kill the restricted format. It just doesn’t follow.
Noone would bother forming runs to gain one record on the table instead of taking two at the same time, though.
Aside of that walling thing, which makes no sense, it seemed to have worked out quite well. I take it ALL exploits are disallowed?
(edited by Dub.1273)
I must say it’s quite ridiculous that a 1.5s frostbow cast deals as much damage as a warrior chaining seven 100b’s in a row. Not to start about necros.
If you want the features I mentioned you’ll need to replace the dll. The injector does always stay the same.
Launching guild wars 2 is in fact forbidden and enough reason for arenanet to ban you. Not like they’d need a reason anyway.
Dps and timer now get calculated for every mob, you can switch between targets but still have correct values displayed. Except if your enemy heals to full, that resets the timer.
Still looking forward to personal dps :x.
We won’t get approval on it. I actually wonder that sweetfx has been announced to be okay.And that took over two years with thousands of users.
Frifox, I and some others are using this (frifox one) for over a year, though. But well, people continuously using hacks aren’t banned either, so why would they ban only displaying information rather than writing into memory.
Tl;dr of features: Alt + H.
Is there any reason for which I have flood control of 5 minutes now? I have not even caught an infraction for months!
Colin Johanson: I think from a feature perspective, the core fundamental features that make up Heart of Thorns, we talked about today. We were maybe intentionally vague when we didn’t talk about what types of content you’re going to experience specifically in the jungle, but the most important messages we want people to take from today are that you’re going to be able to explore a new area, and we know that Guild Wars 2 needs more challenging encounters and more challenging group encounters, and it needs extremely challenging encounters for groups to build up to and defeat. We’re going to be providing all of that with our Heart of Thorns experience.
Source? I’d like to see more!
PS: Colin, just using the kittening word “dungeon”. Please. Please. Please.
I believe they are intentionally avoiding that word because even if they introduced instanced content. They dont want to use the same design as our classic dungeons. So we may get new types of instanced content. Maybe elite zones or instanced bosses.

Made my day lol.
No. Maybe if others classify the extension as great, but otherwise no.
That on the other hand doesn’t happen to me. Hotkeys become unregistered properly and register properly again upon restart. However I still can’t find any main() code that is run upon injecting the dll – and it’s driving me crazy.
Anyway, uploaded new versions of it.
Changes:
- completely close the program by hitting the Pause key.
- added profession icons to floaters
- improved distance scaling
- lock a target by ctrl + doubleclick
Lol, I just found the solution to it by accident. First of all, for some reason a while(!killApp); would run indefinitely and never stop, even if killApp was set to true meanwhile. Second, the Dll does automatically uninject itself, once gw2main() exits.
The crash happens because of the remaining threads. I now ended up using
while (!GetAsyncKeyState(VK_?);
t1.interrupt();
t1.join();
…
t7.interrupt();
t7.join();
return;
which leads to the dll being ejected properly. Why however that happens, is beyond me. I still can’t find the starting point of the whole thing, as there is no DllMain in the whole code. However, if I rename gw2main() to something else, it can’t compile due to:
unresolved external symbol “void cdecl GW2LIB::gw2libmain(void)” (?gw2lib_main@GW2LIB@@YAXXZ) referenced in function “public: virtual bool __thiscall Gw2HackMain::init(void)” (?init@Gw2HackMain@@UAE_NXZ)
Tried interrupting the threads and afterwards using the module handle to unload the dll.
I must say, I didn’t expect absolutely nothing to happen. I’m quite curious how the whole thing works anyway, I can’t find any starting point to what’s executed when the dll is injected.
Ohwell, just figured the created threads are not exited when unloading the dll.
Might have to launch and catch thread interrupts first and then unload it. What I’m still confused on is if it’s safe to use GetModuleHandle() and pass it to FreeLibraryAndExit() inside the dll – or if I should rather pass the handle to the dll?
The injector you mean? Same happens if I inject it with other injectors.
Or is it related to the dll code, if so, what part makes it crash the game client upon unloading?
Restart the game. Or try free’ing it with remotedll, but that might crash gw2, so restarting the game in the first place is easier.
I’m not sure if there even is a way for a dll to terminate.

I have not even ever had them being so nice to my lovely charr, you should take it as a sign and ask them to e-marry you.
I’d take a dire or rabid piece and give it to my necro. For wvw.
So I just did a solo video and now realized the thread is closed. I had to go to kessex hills from divinity reach.
._.
I already feel that food switching is kind of stupid but using consumables to bypass profession limitations doesn’t feel right to me.
I’d be interested in how you run 6/6/2/0/0 with thrill of the crime.
Edit: Nevermind, didn’t read the whole thing.
While Colossus Rumblus went clerics and archdiviner didn’t want to take his chances against filthy phiw nomads, Mossman stood it’s bear.
Too bad kitten paths are allowed while ac p2 is forbidden.
So, Sigil of Strength over Battle for Warrior Phalanx build now?
That has always been the case. O.o
Poor dub.
But really if your ele aint asura, it ain’t kitten.
^
If you have a Charr that looks like this, you really can’t call people ugly, Dub.
Wethospu, the undoubted winner of the fashion cathegory 2014 has already taught me good fashion in 2013, I since then perfected it. You just can’t understand our true phiw skillset, you’re too blinded by human t3 meta elitism.
