I actually feel sorry for the WvW specialist. Have you seen the welcome he got? I dont envy the task he has ahead of him.

I was wondering, why buggy NPCs in AC (Detha and Tzark) are still being ignored by Anet? I’m doing this dungeon on a daily basis and every other day at least one path has to be redone because an NPC is bugged. One would think after over two years this problem might get some attention, but apparently this isn’t true. Please keep in mind AC is often the first dungeon people enter and it can be really discouraging if it bugs.
That’s not entirely true. At the start of the game, hodgins and tzark never bugged, only detha was always a little picky. But after a series of “fixes” (to things that were not broken) they managed to break hodgins and tzark while making the detha issue even worse.
The gw2 reddit is just a short form or “redardit” (kittened).
For the most part, at least.
Given you overclock the pentium a little (4ghz+ are easily maintainable on the stock cooler), you could expect about 40-60 fps on ultra settings, except for cpu heavy settings like player limit or shadows.

Yeah, sli would yield a fps gain. However, if it was just gw2 I wouldn’t do it. I’m getting like 80 fps average with a gtx 660ti, everything on ultra except for sampling (native) and post processing (off). Bare minimum outside of huge zergs at 50 fps.
I could imagine a gtx 680 staying above 70 fps at all times, so unless you were to play on a 120/144hz monitor, there wouldn’t be a change.
It will be ready once you replace all occurrences of “dungeons” with “adventures”, “skilled/hard/melee” with “fashionable” and add some prayers to HoT.

@dub: since i am missing the boosts, i could not start the programm in vs2013, thats right. i just used it to look a little bit at the code since i got curious over my problem.
i have the .exe at my pc and it says dll not loaded when i start it (it does the same at my laptop when i don’t have gw2 open and works perfectly on my laptop when gw2 is open.)
at my pc the .exe says always .dll not loaded even when gw2 is open.
so:
- gw2 freezes when i run the .exe as admin or gw2 does not freeze, but .exe is not running.- .exe says at the console “dll not loaded!” when opened as normal user.
exe and dll is in the same folder as it should be.
sorry, i am german and maybe my text was a little bit to sloppy to understand and first. :S
edit: oh, sorry frifox if u wish i go with that, no problem.
So it doesn’t load even though gw2 is open. Did you rename the gw2.exe or the window name? Try injecting it manually, with RemoteDll or some other injector.
i’ve got a problem, too.
i can start the programm without problems, but i get always the massage dll not loaded in the console…dll is in the right place tough (so, the programm itself works actually from the view at the code).
when i run it as admin the game freezes or, if it does not freeze at all, nothing happens and it simply does not run.since i study IT, i looked at the code but couldn’t rly find the problem…can’t run it with VS2013 since some stuff is missing and i did not look deep enough at the code (got exams atm so no time
).
all other things mentioned are in place as they should be. using windows 7, 64 bit.
funny thing: it runs on my laptop (same system) without any problems.any ideas what i am missing or why it does not find the dll?
putting stuff in another folder at another drive and so didn’t work too.
checked the permissions (read / write) and changed it so it should work, but this didn’t work either.
You’re probably missing boost – you can use the ready built version and don’t need to build it yourself, so it’s simyly copying it somewhere and linking it in the project settings. Alternatively, since the dll does load (as far as I understood), you could just force close the injector?
Hey guys, can someone here please help me out?
I’ve been trying to install the program again, after I reinstaleld W8. But everytime I try to inject the dll file it says that I miss the “msvcp120” file. I’ve already tried installing and reinstalling “Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013” multiple times, but with no luck. Do anyone else know what to do?
Uninstall all redistributables and then execute dxwebsetup and vcredist_x86.

But since the moment you launch gw2 your hardware, os and software of all kinds reads gw’s memory, that’s not really a too valid rule.
In case you launch gw2 – even on a new computer with nothing but os and gw2 installed – you go against that rule.But the whole ruleset is highly irrational anyway, especially now that sweetfx has been approved, violating all and more rules of the dps meter, except for “intentional” level, maybe.

As far as I remember, the DPS meter simply reads values from the memory. Grey area, since ANet hasn’t said anything specific about memory reading.
Which means it interacts with the Software.

Except that it’s not. There is way too much down time between the boss jumps around to different locations in the room, dodging the aoe pull and the poison spin that an ele cannot face tank at all. You can throw all the skills and try to burst him at one point hoping that he won’t teleport in the middle of your burst, but your dps isn’t 10k as you think.
That boss didn’t even jump once. And I honestly have no idea what poison spin you’re talking about. I have zero idea what boss that was, I only remember the pattern of small-large-small orange circles.

The best way to deal dmg is to melee the boss. Either range him (low dps) or aoe (heal the boss) isn’t ideal. But to melee, you need to dodge his pull and also need a body block against the poison spin, both of which I think are too advanced for a random person in the zerg. I doubt that a singular DPS can ever reach 5k there. Actually, reflect works insanely well against this boss :x
Spam lava font and fireball. Goal achieved. Throw in meteor shower, glyph of storms and frostbow and you’re at 10k easily.
I didn’t even know that, but it doesn’t matter. My esp takes heals into account for general dps and relates personal dps to that.
Just thinking about it, how would they even design challenging content without proper players to test it out? And I have not heard of any decent player they consulted for content creation.

Holy kitten is that ugly, no matter the settings. Everything gets blurry, even without any blur effects enabled. Even the UI.
Speaking of silverwastes, I was doing one big boss thing (starts with a small orange aoe circle to push melee’s back and instantly follows with a large to pull ranged people in) in a zerg of 35 players. Overall dps was 55k, of which I personally contributed roughly 5k…
36 players doing the dps of 11 properly equipped ones, and the boss still died with like 1:40 on the timer left. Timer should be 1 minute instead of 5 minutes. Or maybe 1:30 for to allow for well equipped bads. But nomad ranging gs mesmers should just not be allowed…that is a disturbing set of numbers.
The worst part is that muffin and xaffie probably contributed another 10k of those.
