Is it worth though? You get to see a number and that’s it. You can’t compare it with other people because rarely anyone uses a DPS meter.

It doesn’t show personal but rather party-wide dps.

Meta party – 45k – 100k dps
Decent party – 35k – 45k dps
Decent pug – 25k – 30k dps
PHIW pugs – 10k – 20k dps

In fact, I may argue, party-wide dps is much more important than your personal dps. The goal for the a dungeon run is to get maximum party dps after all, not just min/max your own output.

So basically the tool just reads the mob health from the system memory and takes the delta health of them. Eg. at second 0 it had 1m hp and second 1 it had 950k so your party dps would be 50k for that second.

I doubt he is doing delta mob health. I would put my money on aggregating damage dealt being the DPS count.

Lol, I wouldn’t bet my money on that. Because I don’t believe there’s a ‘damage dealt’ variable in gw2’s memory. Therefore it would work on reading the mobs current hp, putting the delta hp into a temporary variable and letting a timer run from the first hit on. Of which the dps is calculated, probably store in another variable for clean code and then displayed. At least thats how I’d do it.

Yeah, because the fgs nerf obviously made the game so much more entertaining, fun and made less people quit, they now need to do the same about ele’s aoes.

Sure arenanet has banned people for using third party programs, but there’s a significant difference between memory reading and memory editing.

Which would basically be monitoring the end users pc’s, which to my knowledge is illegal.

Unless it writes into the process memory, it is not any les forbidden than running guild wars 2 itself Aside, there is no way to detect memory reading. Tons of programs do it all the time, especially anti virus software. I’ve had a quite funny email conversation with arenanet about memory reading being forbidden in the CoC. After five mails with support guys who had no clue what I was talking about, I got redirected to an apparent security lead or something who tried to explain me that there is a difference between OS and antivirus software reading gw2’s process memory and an external program doing it, while in fact there is not since anti virus software is an extrrnal program too. The only reasonable difference is on intentional level. Well, I was not able to get any more answers as my ticket has been closed.

To sum it up: you may get banned for just running guild wars 2, they can’t detect memory reading and their CoC and ToS are full of kitten. Don’t write into the process memory and you’re fine.

I actually forgot some words, been busy in the metro while typing that and my phone’s battery was about to die. What I mean is, when I quit you were able to sell any amount of stuff, list it for 1c and immediately get all the highest buying offers paid out. When they were about to fix the bug that you wouldn’t have to pay the trading post selling fee, they actually screwed in the way that you simply can’t list anything below the highest bid offer. When you now have a stack of something that you want to sell, and each highest offer only goes in quantities of 1-2, you’ll have to do 250-500 clicks instead of just two before. That’s seriously beyond kittenation.

Instead of taking the actual way of counting together the highest bids in their respective quantity and taking the arithmetic mean (which any first semester cs student could do in a go), they took the lazy way of simply disabling the ability all together, added stupid popup windows and now sell it as “Trading Post Improvement” for the “New Player Experience” or whatever bullkitten they’re currently at.

Am I the only one who realized there will never be done anything good to gw2, be it game or forum? I recently logged in and found some changes, most being worse than imagined. Dare you selling a stack of something only 1-5 buying offers are at each amount of gold.

Win 8.1 is generally faster than win 7.

Don’t use the ingame option. Either start the game with -fps 70 (it does always limit to a kittle less) or use some amd equivalent to nvidia inspector (if there exists one).

my phase 1 is about 20 seconds faster than yours and my rotation is awful.

There has been a few changes since dub last played. :P

I havent seen notriggers solo attempts so I have no idea, but dubs condi solo is using the condi meta build and best gear and nothing would have really changed with it.

I wouldn’t exactly call spending two attempts in fully exotic gear optimal.
Especially with rabid instead of that new thing. Although I might have had one or two ascended acessories, I don’t really remember.

After quitting gw2 I can’t get my daily dose of trollerinoa anymore. I’m creative in finding ways of fixing.

Whenever I see “exp” in a party advertisement, I can instantly know that the team is going to be terribly bad. This isn’t just true for gw2, though, but for any game I know.
