Hey all,
Glad to see that the game will eventually be Mac compatible.
I have a question about the function keys. I have looked through the first few pages in this thread but haven’t found the answer.
Does anyone have any problems using the function keys? When I use them, I get the default Mac function (volume, brightness, etc.) but not the in-game function (abilities). Is this a known issue or bug? Is it something I can simply change in the settings some place?
Please advise.

If you only work 5 hours per day 3 days per week AND you have beat this game AND you don’t want to lead a country, you are far too awesome a force of humanity to take advice from a mere mortal such as I.
Maybe you should go into MMO content development? You seem so fantastic at everything else you try, perhaps you could revolutionize the industry.

I hate to say it but if the TP is acting funny, don’t try to place an order more than once (some of you state that you did this). Perhaps the TP is only very slow and multiple orders eventually DO get processed, resulting in an over purchase.
I know this doesn’t apply to all the posts in the forum but it might explain some of the problems that some of you are having.

Funny idea but what about a trap meant to detect and reveal sneaks and stealthers? Trap is set, maybe with a longer duration, and anything passing opens the cage releasing a pissy chihuaha that simply goes ape-crazy yapping at the target and moving really really fast (ergo hard to target/kill) – not attacking but raising the alarm. Nice to drop in that back alley when you are facing foreward. Funny as hell anyway.

When you used it last did you check the box under the allow/disallow buttons that tells the authenticator that the IP address you are using should be automatically connected?

My main questionis, do these gold sellers get them banded for a small period of time or do they lose the account forever, (which is what i hope for) Tired of seeing it in game and getting in game mail from them.
I like to see anet do like in undercover selling gold, if someone goes to the website they poste to sell gold, they can then go to that player and say you were caught buying gold from a undercover gamemanager and you are now sefrom the game or band. I think it would make people think more before trying to buy gold too.
Undercover would be very cool and punish those who create the demand. It would be nice to see.

I think there is a way they can “invite” you to play on their server but this only lasts for that specific play session and if you don’t begin on Far Shiverpeaks you will have to get invited each time you play. If your friends are playing on different levels from you then your character might get scaled up or down on their server.
As far as I know the only other thing you could try is to start on a different server then apply for (pay for) a server transfer.

Hey everyone,
I had one of my accounts involved in the hacks recently and I just wanted to let you guys know that it just got fixed. It took a few days but they got it right and I want to thank Anet.
We are hearing a bunch of upset people in this forum and I wanted to start this thread for two reasons. Firstly, to thank the powers that be and secondly to let everyone know that things are getting fixed.
If people read this thread and see a growing list of satisfied customers then it might help them realize that help is on the way.

We need to be calm. Believe me: I totally sympathize, my wife’s account is messed up too and I can’t play the game with her.

I Immediatly change my password too.
Can you explain to me how to detect this? I’m fairly lame at figuring out stuff but it is quick to find out, I’d appreciate knowing how to do it.

Sounds like your account has been hacked due to a fake site, email, or a keylogger on your computer.
You will need to get in contact with support and provide proof of purchase when requested.(Cd-keys, Last four digits of credit card, paypal etc.). Since you were hacked once lets be sure to get on the real support site ;P. Last thing you need is a fake support asking for credit card info.
After doing this which will take a very long time, they will default the email back to the original and reset the password.
If you do have a keylogger then this hacker will just change it again and again.
It is a custom for them to roll back the account to restore any deleted characters items and gold. If they fail to do this request it.
I have a ticket in (see sig). Is this good enough? Do I need to call them?

I notice this, too. A stranger drops by and zaps me with a heal or resurrects me. Maybe they blast a bad guy for me. Some help with puzzles and finding stuff. Advice is plentiful in chat.

Sure, but remove them from the requirements of zone completion. As stated in my OP
I hate to say it, but I’m a completionist.
How would I know that there is stuff left to do unless the game somehow tells me I have stuff left to do?
Perhaps a separate category for vistas/jumping puzzles? If they did that then you could get “zone completions” but you’d still have an uncompleted stat for something else (the vistas/jumping puzzles stat).
