1. Join a group fight
2. Use your team mates as distractions
3. Stab squishies while they’re pre-occupied with hammer bros
4. Stealth out
5. ???
6. Loot bags
I wish this game has crosshair aiming instead of tab-targeting.
Remove power creep.
GW2 tests the players’ ability to churn cheese.
Some people are lactose intolerant. It’s not fair to force everyone to eat cheese.
~10 BG blobbies were chasing me (1 person) for 10 minutes. Why?
To get posts like yours <3
But I just tp to a waypoint
/shrug
They added dodge. So much skillz!
Cheaters buy gems. All is forgiven.

“Evasion boon”: 33% to dodge attacks
Welcome to Bandwagon Guild.
Best class is the one that best fits your playstyle, how you intuitively think, how you want to approach WvW, what you want to do in WvW. (see: sig)
Running with a guild 4-man swat team that ninja’s keeps and towers as well as running with the zerg strategically.
Composition? 2 Necros. 2 Elementalists.
Works for us.
Find what works best for you.
My play style is “loot bag in denial”. I play a Ranger, and it fits like a glove.
Best class: Thief
Why: L2PMasterRace
Engineers are smart. They should be able to build mobile stealth detector traps. Make it an elite skill.
So… which dairy farmer should I level up now?
This game isn’t balanced for 1 vs 1. It’s pretty much the opposite of every other games, where they balance the classes in 1 vs 1 before doing the WvW stuff.
I mean seriously, try a 1 vs 1 staff ele vs thief or warrior. There is like a 0.05% chance that the ele win. I can understand the concept of imbalanced classes, but not to that extent.
Staff Elementalist isn’t good at one on one but godly for zerging so I’m not understanding your point? Warrior is useless in one on ones vs good players too and Thieves are not the greatest in zergs.
My point is that no online game should put you in a 1 vs 1 situation where you have absolutely no chance. A certain imbalance is fine, but total imbalance isn’t.
Specially considering that the elementalist doesn’t even have a weapon-swap button and that you thieve are roaming around with permanent invisibility. It’s totally broken balance.
You can walk around with D/D till you get inside the zerg and then switch to staff.
You can carry every weapon set and Instant Trait Reset, and become the most versatile character ever!
Merge Ranger and Thief into one profession. You then have your ultimate 1337 rogue class.
Mesmers in zerg are nothing but Veil, Portal and Feedback bots unless the Mesmer is good enough to stealth behind the enemy zerg like a Thief should be doing too.
It isn’t that hard to get behind the enemy zerg try it sometime.
Don’t forget the massive damage from confusion. It seriously punishes mass clickers.
/s
F3 should be auto dodge out of combat.
Dat loading screen. It foreshadows what will occur in your WvW session: a zerg of heavies ready to kitten you up.
What about 2 thieves?
ITT: bad players complaining about good thieves
It’s like driving a Corvette and beating a Civic in a drag race. The Civic driver is bad.
Ranger. Best 1v1 profession amirite?
Where can I find link to the 30/30/30/30/30 build?
Okay.. I don’t play anymore so I don’t know how things are atm, but my tactic was : Thief opens, i lose a ridiculous amount of health in 1 second, I pop that trait that makes both me and my pet immune to damage for 7 seconds, longbow #4 (knockback if I remember correctly), longbow#1 (with right trais should hit like a truck), then immediatelly sic’em. Thief can’t stealth for 4? seconds = dead thief.
(full berserker ranger)
Worked against 95% of ALL the thieves I encountered.
Riveting tale, chap. There are now two thieves. Your tactic is invalid.
“L2P”
-kitten Thief; OneOfThe12Derps
Anyway, you will have to live with the fact that Thieves will almost always have the first hit advantage, so L2 aegis, protection, stealth, or dodge. Uh… also AOE/drop conditions to discourage thieves.

I haven’t seen a warrior winning 1 v 1 with Pu Mesmer or condi thieve yet ….
Best thing to do when seeing a PU Mesmer: run away. He/she possesses little to no chasing ability, and will not hinder your zergs. Guess who has good mobility? Warrior.
I did that a couple time when i played on my warrior and that Pu mes immediately spammed emote laugh
Grab more hammer bros and kill that PU Mesmer. /laugh back.

Too much food, stacks, and whatnot supplementing builds that are suppose to have trade-offs.
Thief Adept Trait:
Gains a random boon after dodge roll
- Stability
- Protection
- Regeneration
*End of dodge roll also steals + remove a boon within 400 radius
*End of dodge roll also blinds enemy within 400 radius
*End of dodge roll also knocks down enemy within 400 radius
*Thief has 50% chance of gaining 1 initiative after dodge roll; 7.77% chance of restoring all initiative (45s CD); 10% chance of 3s stealth (30 s CD)
Reasoning: Thieves need all of the above in 1 nice package; otherwise, they lack build variety and are “just too squishy”.

30/30/30/30/30 Warrior is indeed powerful.
I hope players would stop using the 4 weapon set as a crutch. Use 3 instead.
10 v 1. Kills opponent. Jump jump. /laugh /laugh /laugh
“Mesmers are masters of mirage. They weave mental magic that confounds, controls, or evokes emotion in their enemies. "
“Warriors are masters of martial skills. They rely on speed, strength, toughness, and heavy armor to survive. They’re versatile in combat and benefit from offensive and defensive abilities. Warriors inspire allies and demoralize enemies.”
“Elementalists have harnessed Tyria’s natural forces. Their powers of destruction are drawn from an affinity with the four elements that make up the world. They conjure air, fire, earth or water to assault their enemies.”
kitten your predator.
Lol a BG/opp/Thief.
Run away guys!
I missed when everyone was upleveled in WvW.
Do you like to lose? If not, play Thief.
Are you a dairy farmer? If yes, play either.
None. I have mastered the art of L2P.
I miss un-nerfed Thief.
Says no one ever (well… maybe except dairy farmers)
What: Thief player ego
Why: The world would be a better place
Warriors don’t skip legs day. Of course they are fast.
Lol Guardian has no health.
But protection/aegis/perma vigor/blinds. Less health, but more defensive measures.
High cool down. Plus a guardian would likely have insufficient damage to down a warrior.
Lol Guardian has no health.
Make Glacial Heart work on other weapons too (doesn’t have to be all of them).
Less reward for roaming thieves and warriors.
5 Thieves and a Mesmer.
You’d have to play perfectly, but they don’t.
I think people should stop complaining about gear in wvw.
this is the endgame for gw2, did you expect to just walk in and be the best?
I see you take pride in collecting loot bags from upleveled characters.
I think food should be banned.
???
If you put in so much effort to be just on par (at best) with other professions, something is wrong. The issue isn’t the willingness to put in the effort. People realize it is a foolish waste of time to put in X amount of effort, but not being rewarded appropriately.
Two Warriors roaming together. One wields a hammer, the other wields a rifle. Can’t mess with that.
