How about we group up all the servers that are a certain colour, eg all the red servers together and perhaps give them a new cool as name like Badlands. and place them in a huge map in which each matchup lasting a few hours, maybe 3?

That would be a very cool WvW system

Its been like that ever since the commander tag first appeared. Having a squad just makes the group running with the tag more ‘efficient’. If you want to get rid of this, you might suggest to get rid of the commander tag instead.

The real reason why he is complaining is because his server is paired with the most cancerous server in NA. Maguuma. LOL no one wants to be paired with them.

Population imbalances are by far the biggest problem in WvW. The biggest zerg ALWAYS wins

Yeap, a couple of groups can overcome the zerg!, That is why Tier 8 servers regularly rose up to beat the Tier 1 servers /rolls eyes. Lol, it never happened for a reason.

Winning the matchup and winning fights are different. During the TC/Mag matchup our kdr was at one point higher than theirs then only slightly lower at the end of the week. This was while outnumbered.

I think the amount of points rewarded should be determined by how much resistance there is. Basically count how many players are online in WvW in one server vs the other server.

Whatever percentage one server is out numbering the other by is the deducted off the amount of points they would be receiving that tick.

So if server A has 10% more people in WvW than server B within the 15 minute point tick, they receive 10% less points that tick. So if they were at 400PPT but outnumbered the others by 10%, they get 360 points that tick instead.

Same goes for the reverse way, if they’re out numbered by 10%, they get 10% more points than they have that tick.

That seems like that would be a BALANCED way of scoring.

NOBODY likes this new map make a freaking public pol and see it by yourselfl, if you feel like you really need to add this garbage to the game just make it optional like EoTM. Do not force WvW players to play on this map since we all dislike it please.

Unlike you may think there are actual players who ONLY DO WvW and we do not care about karma training we want to fights and kill people. Do not ruin this game mode, if we want to PVE we will just go to the silverwastes please, listen to your players.

We want maps that force you to fight insteand just hiding on walls, we want points per kill, we do not want more siege please. LISTEN to your players.

You want to kill people? go to PvP or wait for GvG guild halls. This new borderlands will bring a new competitive edge to WvW

2500 is way too low for yak slapper. I have over 8k yaks killed and I’m not a roamer/havoc squad type of person. At least make it 10k or yak slapper will be commonplace which really screws over the efforts of wvw players.

LOL its not too low. i only have 800… if you raised it to 10k as you proposed, people like me still wouldnt get it.

Thanks to all the NA guilds that responded to our call a few tiers back.
We literally had no NA presence with a strong oceanic force to begin with, with your help and cooperation, together we have reached the ‘top of the world’.
Now its time to defend and prove to the Worlds below that we deserve to stay here!

1. This victory belongs primarily to the hardcore Oceanic WvWers of Sea of Sorrows,

You are selling your NA and especially your EU players short. Whenever I looked at late Asian-Oceanic times, SBI usually did pretty well. Not the 600+ we might have had in some matches, but solid leads. It was always the EU SoS team that turned the table around and left us with an uphill battle during NA times (when SoS NA defended very well). Without your great EU players, you would not have such a large lead, and likely have lost the match.

In T1, you need good coverage in all 3 time zones, 2 is not enough.

We actually have VERY little EU presence… most of the players you see online during euro are just Oceanic players that stay up extra late and early morning players from NA.

This sort of post loses respect for SOS, and angers SBI. If you read the first week posts of the BG/SBI/JQ match from some similar BG players, they used the exact same sentence. Please keep the chest tumping in check until you win. Its day 2 of a 7 day match.

well, this is normal considering there was a huge event going on right now. A huge chest full of rares and exotics. in my zerg alone 9 people got precursors so that’s where all sbi and jq were. SOS are dedicated that’s for sure, to miss out on free loot.

Going to need SBI guilds to start queueing now. A weekend 20-30k point deficit is par for the course, but SoS is far more dedicated than any new T1 server we’ve faced.

Many of their forces skipped the PvE this weekend for map control. That is worth our attention considering they have coverage during the same hours we do and seem to only lack EU which we do as well.

Commendable effort and attitude thus far SoS. You guys deserve to be in tier 1, no question.

We’ve faced so much criticism from our past opponents, and yet we still hold on strong. We are here in Tier 1 to prove them wrong which is why we aim to stay dedicated and focused. We’re definately expecting a storm coming during the upcoming days, and im sure my fellow SoS brethens are going to fight back with the same hard work and dedication we used to get here in the first place. Been quite a fun matchup this week and may it continue to be so!

SOS dont give yourself excuses now. we have shown we are capable standing toe to toe with other tier 1 servers in strategy and ability.

the only thing that can make sos lose is lack of participation.

keep getting people into the boarderlands. spam your guild. spam lions arch. spam those new pve areas.

do you want to tell people that you “did some pve and killed some mobs like we’ve done in WOW for the last 10 years” or you “helped carry your server from rank 12 to rank 1 champion in 1 swift 2 month undefeated rise to the top”?

SoS was ranked 5th during 24 hour matchups and then dropped to 10th. They never dropped further than 10th.

Props to all the guilds that took part in the Multi-keep taking raid! All garrisons belong to the Sea of Sorrows. took us some time to get those golems up and running but worth the prize!

and to clarify… there is no such alliance between any of the 3 servers. so no more conversations on that topic.

Fun assault on Hills keep in IoJ borderlands. was a semi-3 way fight over there, with some solid SoR defense.

Didnt you guys have Nine dragons and CRS? filling in oceanic.

With the halloween event issue. SoS completely understands. we went from near 100% dominance to losing EVERYTHING overnight due to Halloween events. one NA guild (you know who) wrote an open letter to oceanics addressing the issue, oceanic guilds got together and made sure this issue never happened again. although pretty sure it happened to NA guilds as well later on the last few days of the week since we also went from 100% to losing everything. but we still won in the end.
IoJ just has to rally up their forces and put up a fight. prove to everyone you were definately tier 1 material.

Sea of Sorrows became the next zergfest server because a bunch of DB guilds transferred there after last matchup. Then some HoD guilds transferred there too. Then a bunch of bandwagoners transferred there too.

never saw any bandwagoners join? who are these bandwagoners you speak of?
How is it the next zergfest server? NA guilds came over, not oceanic. meaning we play in different timezones and have different primetimes.

Brag all you want about capturing most of our points and ‘owning us’. In the end, your only doing us a favour. this is what our organised WvW guilds want. Thank you for helping us lower our point gain. We really appreciate it.
Right at this moment, we’re just relaxing not even trying in WvW. You’re all welcome to take some points away. We just need enough point gain just ensure our win.

Free transfers are not an issue. if we were stuck with no transfers… dominant servers would keep on being dominant. wheres the fun in that? at least keep it interesting and moving. if you’re a proud server guy like me… learn to accept it. im not moving anywhere.
in fact i moved from a winning server (ET) to SoS! just so i could be with an australian community. and im loving it here in SoS even though it was losing server in comparison to ET back then.
cant really do anything about it really. WvW is a 24/7 fight. know nightcapping is an issue but thats how it works. americans from an australian perspective are nightcappers too!

not trying in wvw is more of a tactical decision tbh. dont take it personally.
