Actually, no.
full map completion of the Starter Zone+Capital+lvl10 story
although you can get more exp if you do all Events that pop up on the corners of your mini map

Starter zones are meant to be level 1-15, with the next zones being 15-25.

It’s actually harder not to hit level 17-18~ in the start zones since the NPE.

i usually end with 13 or 14, including the exp from the lvl 10 story step.

So,
i created two F2P accounts for RP reason, and also wanted to see how a new player see’s GuildWars2 upon his first few hours during play.

From a combat/questing/event view, it is the same as regular player

Now things that Bothered me. I know they are in action to stop any gold sellers, spammers and exploiters and the like, yet for an new player it is really bad experience

No Map Chat
While i can understand that restriction, for a new player who has many questions this is the worst. He got so many new things but can’t ask anyone for help or advise.
I would say remove the block from the starter zones at all, but keep them in effect in other zones until they reach a level matching the zone, so when they reach lvl 80 they should be allowed to use the map chat like any other player

Leveling
While the PvE Leveling is the same there are a things that really is bad as a new player.
You can’t enter any Capital until you are lvl 10 and Lions Arch until you are 35. Also you can’t just run through the higher level zones
Not a big deal? Well, it is, since if you level by hearts and map completion, with events on the way you don’t reach lvl 15 until you are done with the starter zone, which means they are under leveled for the next zone. But they can’t go the another starter zone ether, so they have to grind events. Later on it doesn’t matter that much, as you get access to more zones. But for a newbie just starting, it is!

Or if two new players want to start together in GW2 but create different Races? well, they are separated for 25 Levels before they can play together in Gendaren Fields (only if one is a human, Asura or Sylvarie and the other is a Charr or Norn, for races next to each other its still lvl15)
You get every first waypoint of all starter zones, so this is alright. thanks to Teleniel.1809 to pointing this out

this are my current problems with the F2P restrictions.

Tell us what you think about it.
Did you also tried the new experience as a F2P Player, share your Feedback

i doubt we will see new weapon any time soon, as they will have to create skins for them to match the amount of the current weapons.
only if they take the water weapons to the land, so there is not a big catch up. but totally new weapons? highly doubtfull

3rd year veteran, bought the game long before launch and participated in every beta and the headstart. Still nothing. While I know people who have had the game less than a year who have theirs already. I’d say your theory is incorrect. Oh and that I am irritated by the disrespect of this system not just mailing us all at once like would make sense. Also Krazyk, I think you will still receive your oufit.

Also, clearly my account starts with a D, so no “D’s” didn’t get anything.

Not all, D’s, but some.
So my theory using the email makes still sense, as every account is registert via an email address and then added the account name to it

may depends on the traits you use. if you use staff you want the staff trait for regen and swiftness, so you take salvation which also brings:

Minor Adept – Disarming Riposte
Striking a foe while they are using a skill blinds them.

Minor Master – Hardened Foundation
Gain toughness based on a percentage of your healing power.

Major Adept – Blinding Truths
Blind nearby foes when you use a healing skill.

Major Master – Tranquil Benediction
The healing orbs that you create while wielding a staff will now grant swiftness and regeneration when picked up by allies.

Major Grandmaster – Momentary Pacification
Daze nearby foes when using an elite skill.

Nope, players with less account time than I have have gotten it before me. It’s going alphabetically down the username list. I’ve been playing since closed beta and still haven’t gotten mine. On top of that I’m in the C’s which they have so many of those gold farm/seller accounts still on the list that it’s taking a long time for the system to auto send the outfits.

But already D’s got them.

maybe they do it alphabetical according to the email you registert?

i can see heavy use of CC to break the defiant bars, but this can be done with all stat set ups.

to remove zerker, the best way they have to do the follwing

-high thoughness on around half of the bosses so physical damage is not as good as condition damage on them

-alot of sustained damage incoming, needing a lot more healing and toughness, vitality, healing power to stay alive

- special triggers from some bosses if they got too much damage in a too short of a time, causing a wipe

-perma retaliation on some bosses (go kill youserlf zerks!)

Melee Staff Needs a Different Idle Animation

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Enrif.7359

Enrif.7359

As someone who has studied Bojutsu along with many other forms of weaponized martial arts, you are right in that there is a stance where a tip of the bo would be raised in front you. However there are many stances that you can use to wield a Bo Staff called Kamae.

The one you are describing is Seigan no Kamae. This is a “balanced stance”.

However, the one that is represented in the game is also a correct stance where the front tip of the bow is lowered in front of you and is called Ihen no Kamae. This stance is used more for defense and parrying.

Some pics of the stances are below

Also in Europena Martial Arts, if you use a Staff/polearm this is a good balanced stance. Sadly i can’t provide images as European MArtial arts are very bad documentet compared to asian.

Those who demand an other stance want their Monkey King

Shared Empowerment, Bolster Fortifications

in Revenant

Posted by: Enrif.7359

Enrif.7359

If you only use Glint skills for Shared Empowerment you are right, yet there are other ways to give constant boons. like …..

Salvation Trait-Tranquil Benediction
The healing orbs that you create while wielding a staff will now grant swiftness and regeneration when picked up by allies.

Salvatio Trait-Nourishing Roots
Grant regeneration to allies near Ventari’s tablet.

Shield Skill-Envoy of Exuberance
Send energy of glint towards the target area granting protection to allies before releasing a burst of energy healing allies and returning to you. It also grants protection on the way back.

Malyx Skill-Pain Absorption
Grant resistance to yourself and nearby allies. Absorb conditions from those allies, gaining additional resistance per condition.

Jalis Skill-Inspiring Reinforcement
Create a stone road that damages and weakens foes as it’s created. Once it’s created it will pulse, granting stability to allies.

Also any Combo Field/Finishers that give Boons.

Revenant Changes Based on BWE Feedback

Enrif.7359

My feedback of the changes that concerns me

Staff
finally making Staff 2 useful,THANKS!!
Staff 4 also an Blast Finisher, nice.
Staff 5 making an evade, i don’t think this was necessary as you anyway push back anything in your way, but i don’t complain.

Yet i would still like a change to the orbs of Staff 1. Maybe making them moving slowly to an close ally? or flat an AOE heal……

Jalis
Change on Heal and Elite, good.
Change on the whirling hammers very nice
Change on the Road…..gone over the top. buff the Duration of stability at least to 3sec. CD and Energy cost increase is okay, but then make it at least pulling off quicker.
The taunt chain, lacks usefulness. to expensive, not worth it

Retribution
no change of traits at all?……

the upkeep of those skills(except maybe heal and elite) must be alot cheaper then the current ones, as they ALSO go on CD upon activation of the second skill.

This Facets are kind of Signets, but they are not alltime passive, but you have the activate the passive, but for this, the passive is group wide.

Signets for a neutral skill type would work. (even if Glint is speculated to be using Signets)

Signet of the Mists
Passive: Improves movementspeed
Active: Shadowstep through the Mists to your Target

Signet of the Legends (more like a glyphe actualy)
Passive: gain Power/ConditonDamage/Thoughness/HealingPower based on current Legend
Active: Enemy gets Vulnerability/Confusion/Blind/Weakness based on current Legend

Signet of Invocation
Passive: Spending Energy heals you
Active: heals you for X

No Elite
