Engineers have Weapon Kits. If you put a weapon kit on every skill slot, disincluding the weapon kits themselves (and your FKeys) you have 30 skills (including base weapon).
Elementalists get 25 skills with one weapon (counting utility/heal/elite).
Other classes get 15 skills with 2 weapon sets and utility/heal/elite.
If you are an Elementalist or an Engineer, it is intentional.
There were minor fixes that weren’t added into the patch. If you look around on the forums, you can spot some of them.
Also, some bugs were added, unintentionally of course.
Go to Queensdale and chat around. It’s the “Barrens chat” of GW2. You’ll meet someone you can click with.
Champions are not meant to be soloed, but ARE possible (in some cases) to be soloed.
I have fought Champions as a Mesmer my level solo, but it takes upwards of 20 minutes, and they typically don’t have a range attack.
If you have problems grouping, try joining a guild or coordinating with friends (online or offline).
I believe it follows the same system as Diablo 3, which is…
Magic Find % is multiplied by the chance of that item to drop.
Say, a blue item has a 10% chance of dropping.
You have 50% magic find.
50% of 10% = 0.5 * 10% (or 0.5 * 0.1) = 0.05 or 5%.
0.05 + 0.1 = 0.15 = 15% chance of getting a blue item WITH Magic Find being calculated.
Of course, drop rates are a tad more complex than that, considering there are so many variables that are unknown unless access to the source is available.
Such numbers would be whether or not it’s a chance of getting an item —> rarity chance OR simply just chances of getting each item at each rarity.
I’m rambling and not making any sense anymore, but you get the point of Magic Find.
I’m afraid ANet believes people can read and doublecheck such basic things like armor type before purchasing items.
Also, if it took you 12h to get boots, find a proper guild and don’t run with pugs – TA is one of the easiest dungeons, except for the Leurent fight.
Well, I’ve done TA with pugs and I’ve gotten a little under half of the amount for boots in about 2 hours, maybe less.
As for the beginning, it’s not that ANet believes people can read and doublecheck, it’s ANet gives you the choice in case you want to purchase it for another character or some other odd reason. Perhaps in the future there will be a BLC/Gem item that allows you to transmute regardless of type.
12. Don’t buy violet weapons from vendor in the Mists, it has no dps (its probably for WvWvW). Buy exotic orange weapons.
Steady Weapons (or the Violet Weapons) are used for DPS testing as they all do the same amount of damage.
Didn’t you already post this earlier?
I personally used GS all the way to 80 then I started doing Dungeons and realized that Mesmers aren’t really a straight DPS class in groups. If you want to DPS, you just pump out 3 Illusions (I prefer Warlock or Duelist) and then sit back and watch the numbers.
Of course, none of it revolves around GS, so it’s best to get it out of your system.
As the person above me said, it’s all about how you like to play, however in Dungeons, don’t expect to be able to play exactly how you want to. Mesmers shine as supports, and it can be intriguing and fun, but you are, in the end, a support (in most dungeons, at least).
It is souldbound, it is useless to me.
You can use the soulbound “glitch” to get it to another character.
Simply transmute it to an item (retain looks and whatever else you want to retain), then put it into the bank, go to other char, and transmute again.
Sic’s are typically just in the wiki and don’t really get fixed unless it makes the context extremely ambiguous. At least, that’s how it was in GW1.
I can’t say I agree nor disagree with that method.
I agree because it means the devs are working on making the game better instead of fixing minute things, but I disagree because it makes the game look a bit dirty.
Try going into windowed mode (unless you’re in windowed/borderless windowed, in which case go full-screen) and try it again.
If it works, try swapping back. If it doesn’t, well, that’s going to be a hassle, but you can always press the | key (it’s actually \) to make it transparent/invisible.
Click it.
Drag it.
Continue dragging it until satisfied.
???
Profit.
I have had one time where I leveled up and did not get skill points, but I do not know why nor can I re-produce it (or care to).
And honestly, at level 80, 254000 experience isn’t a lot in terms of how hard it is to gain.
If it is [too hard], you are playing it too casually and/or should start actively learning the basics, no offense.
I remember reading in the Wiki that the Hint achievement is largely bugged, but is possible if you’re lucky.
For me, specifically, my mailbox only goes to 9/10 so I am unable to get that hint. Additionally, I have one “missing” achievement. There are 82, yet it says I’m at 79 even though I’m only missing the Warrior and Full Mailbox achievement.
More information is on the wiki.
I’d suggest looking at all the stats of the items, although they SHOULD be equal, you might have bought the wrong stat for one of them.
Human Female Mesmer
Both the light Heritage Mask and light Baroque mask from the HOM rewards. It clips with this particular hairstyle on the human female.
Other masks either crafted or dropped from mobs don’t seem to have this problem. Just these 2 from the HOM.
I’d like to say that these helms did not used to clip with that hairstyle before (a little over a month ago was the last time I checked).
Asuran Tier 2 Cultural Armor, Genius Leggings, appears to create a misplaced back AND shield effect. (I do not have a picture with a shield, however I can confirm that it does affect shields as well.)
This visual error only seems to occur when wearing the aforementioned armor.
Mad Memoires [: The Complete Edition] and shields will turn from their natural upward poise to a full horizontal and vertical change (90 degrees in both axis).
Picture 1 shows Mad Memoires AND an environmental weapons’ back piece placed in an odd angle.
Picture 2 shows just Genius Leggings and Mad Memoires in the odd angle.
Picture 3 shows normal Mad Memoires position with a different pair of pants.
Note: The bug occurs with clothes on, I just took the clothes off to show that the root of the problem appeared [to me] to be the pants. Everything else in my wardrobe has changed since I first saw the problem.
I enjoy using Mistfire Wolf as an Asuran Mesmer for the massive AoE damage or if I get in a bad situation. Attack Golem is pretty useful as a “more” permanent Mistfire Wolf since it has a 10 second longer duration and a 1 minute shorter cooldown, but it does not do as much damage.
The Golem Suit is not very strong, but it is useful when playing with your friends at low levels since it boosts their HP by a large amount. Plus, they’re at the point where the skills in Golem Suit are actually fun… or so I’d hope.
As for utility skills, I only use Radiation Field as an AoE Cond Damage source. I’ve tried Technobabble and Pain Inverter and they just don’t have the utility that I’d want from a racial.
