You guys have been hitting AR since you’ve got into this tier, non-stop. Did you not expect the same treatment in return? You’ve barely touched BPBL actually, and AR has taken more in the BPBL than has DH.

It’s just unfortunate for you that BP loves SM, and you guys appear to have the same love. Therefore you’ll be fighting BP all week for SM.

BP doesn’t love SM. It’s just one commander, unfortunately.

Also, I didn’t see much roaming group in DH yet. I saw some guys from MORT guild, they were good I think (not sure if I mistake them with another guild). I also fought a really good DD Elem, don’t remember the guild. But since He is playing a cookie cutter DD Elem, it doesn’t really count.

I’m enjoying going up against BP and AR. Things are really well matched and it poses a lot of challenge that keeps us on our toes, unlike our previous tier which gained a lot of loot bags for me but little challenge. The new tier has been exciting, frustrating, and constantly moving so job well done to all. We’re definitely learning a lot as we go.

If you guys keep fighting for first place, you’ll end up third. Do what AR does and fight for 2nd consistently. It’ll be better for everyone.

I have to say, AR is a lot better at defending and taking back their borderlands than DH.

They tried countless times to push our Hills on BP BL. So many times I lost count and they just kept getting wiped and wiped which allowed AR to fortify their bay. I love the effort DH, you guys certainly don’t give up.

But yeah, focusing AR early is a bad idea. BP tends to wake up during the weekdays.

Borlis Pass is known for doing horrible on the first day.

First non Darkhaven to comment. Good luck to you guys, I can already smell the rivalry between the two BURN guilds from BP and DH.

Well, today I turned up to jormag event with the rest of the guild, and there were about 10 commanders chilling there with a nice zerg, while our BL was turning to cheese. Should’ve gotten a screenie.

PvE is all the rage now, so much rare drops Not to mention the guild missions. Fun stuff. Wvw gonna take a back seat for a while.

Maybe all that PvEing and rare loot will help you guys win next week?

It’s not BP’s numbers that is hurting you, it’s BP’s ability with numbers. Simple math shows that unless AR gets the stones to attack BP, BP will win. We are giving you unfettered access to attack BP and you are still content to doggedly keep a come second at all costs strategy. Don’t worry about us dropping, DH will hate AR just as much as everyone else. And I’m sure your superior coattail holding will let you be 2nd next week too.

At the moment, I think AR’s biggest concern is not to win, but to make sure NSP drops a tier.

Here in BP, we could care less who drops a tier, we just don’t want AR to win.

Wow AR, great job holding Briar tower in Borlis Pass borderlands. We tried almost everything until Nalivan was all like “OMG JUST LISTEN TO ME I CAN DO THIS”. Then once we got in the tower, he kept going “PUSHH PUSHHHHH PUSHHHHHHHHHHH, DONT BE AFRAID TO DIE YOU CHICKENS!”.

It was funny and fun.

I was under the impression that GOAT would try to pull a PAXA and attempt to wipe the “fight club”. Which would have been mildly amusing if they had tried.

To the people leading the BP group at QL, thank you for showing AR players an excellent example of bad leadership and how not to take a tower.

I dont know what has been going on with BP lately in EB. I don’t know if they moved commanders around or if someone is on break or something, but the little time I have played this week I have even been scratching my head wondering, ‘what in the hell are they doing’

Which is strange because BP is usually very straight forward. go to tower put down siege get to work. This week it has been more like get to tower wander around, a little to the left a little to the right, put down some siege. Put down some more. Shoot a little. Go hide behind a hill. Put down some more siege. then win/loose.

maybe they are just upping the confusion factor.

I am also trying not to think about how bad it means we suck if we still cant stop them when they are just strolling around not really doing anything.

I was not commanding and I’m not sure who was at that time but wow you guys are right. That is poor commanding. I would have done it completely differently. And to go as far as use Golems for Quentin Lake! QUENTIN LAKE!!

I heard it was just ALS.

VS showed up after AR took it from NSP. They were also present as we took Hills back from them. Other than that there were no sightings of VS.

I am the leader of a small guild on Ferguson’s Crossing. We have been there since the 3 day head start and have all the upgrades but are just completely tired of being so outnumbered in WvW. It’s making people start to hate Guild Wars. We have been looking at this Tier and it looks like you guys have the most balance in WvW. I know that leaving means we will lose all of our influence and upgrades for the guild but like I said, we are just tired of being rolled over in WvW. All I ask is which server do you think would be a good fit for our guild in this Tier?

Borlis Pass cracks me up.. Trying a new build on one of my characters, and every fight is either 2v1, 3v1, or 10+v1. They laugh, or goad as if they’ve done something. That’s one thing I respect from NSP is that they always challenge people to 1v1s, and we always show each other respect. Borlis Pass never runs solo, and they never show respect.

Seriously guys, it is a game. Enjoy it without trying to ruin everyone elses fun.

We’re not really known to have guilds or groups running around solo, people just do it for fun I guess. Maybe that’s why you never see a challenge?

I am shocked to not see any comments from BP about the Hills fiasco… You had a HUGE amount of people in there!

The never ending chain of supply and the shear amount of catapults (many superior too) that went up was mind boggling. I am glad we held it in the end. Oh and sorry about those golems, when I saw them strolling around I couldnt help but run up to the cannon and ruin them.

Stressful but fun nonetheless! Bravo

Yeah we had no idea where the golems were at one point and just screamed at chat to either hide or get to the gate.

That was a fun attempt and good job fighting us off.

People on anvil rock should learn to trust one another. If there isn’t a commander on all that means is there isn’t a blue dot on the mini map. We have a large number of really great leaders that haven’t been able to afford the 100g for whatever reason but are not given the time of day by the general public.

I have the same issue they do whenever I play an alt, there is just not trust placed In anyone with a decent plan even when there are no others on the table. It’s a shame those types of people don’t go on the forums! Haha

I completely agree. I try to shout out ideas on tactics whenever the commanders are gone, but when I explain that losing 2 camps worth 10 points together, 2 towers worth 20 points together, and a keep worth 25 points alone, isn’t worth keeping SM, the pugs answer back with, “Yeah, but it takes a long time to walk to SM… and I’m already here. Besides, the keep is easier to take back than SM is.”

I think it’s clear that numbers is the biggest factor in victory for this tier. Your numbers just disappear when you’re losing.

I predict that we will be stuck with this stale matchup for a long time. I predict this thread being locked fairly quickly after someone mentions Paxa. I predict AR and BP will continue to tout their prowess and skill in 50v1 combat and PvD tactics. I predict NSP being told how to play by AR/BP. In other words, another week, same as the last, same as the next.

This sounds spot on.

WvW ratings are not resetting. I’ll be seeing you guys for couple more weeks.

I was by no means insulting the commanders. Some commanders such as Calleah (and the rest of SekZ) and Bird Song deserve some sort of recognition but your pugs could be a lot better.

Did that all start when you took out a fully fortified QL with a rather large group? It was being defended by a superior ac, a cata and about 5-6 people? Because if so that was the moment I got off.

AR really needs to learn to defend and read the map. At the moment we are consistently being outplayed because other than the people that dump money into these towers and keeps nobody else on AR seems to give a kitten. I always hope that when we lose everything these types of players will see the errors of their ways but I am just kidding myself really…

AR Pugs join the Zerg, they die, they wait in spawn for half an hour thinking the game was mean to them and switchmaps/log off. In contrast to the seemingly never ending supply of BP willing to throw themselves at a defence. I would be lieing if I said I wasn’t jealous.

It’s kind of a running joke amongst people in my guild that you pay people to sit in towers on mortars and siege all day. There is very rarely a time we pass a tower and not see a defender in it. If they do this off their own backs these guys are definitely a credit to your server.

Yeah, sure does take a lot of skill to attack us from behind while we are occupied with trying to take a fortified AR tower , i also seem to remember you guys dieing a lot as well then you run away. But you leaving out the minor details is what makes you Pro right? And since you were so willing to defend ARs tower we decided to take your entire borderlands, enjoy!

AR and NSP, you guys destroyed our Lowlands keep in Eternal Battlegrounds so hard that one day that we can’t see our supply anymore!

The lowlands keep attack went sour on AR’s side do to lack of organization (though not from lack of trying to organize). After the guild teams logged or left EB it was one of those situations where without disciplined groups not much gets done. We let the counterattacks on Jerrifer stretch us out and it made it hard to get a group together to make a meaningful push on the keep. Had a blast and collected plenty of badges as well as racked up plenty of armor repairs.

When BP mounts a defense you guys are always tenacious and quick to counterattack what you lose and kudos to you for it. I get a bit envious of you and NSP who always seem to have groups of guild teams fielded, I rarely never see groups with just a few members of guilds like [PAXA], [Os], [GOAT] and others. As much as we all like to kitten about each other I’m going to miss this matchup next week. Hopefully we end up playing some of you guys in the future!

I like you. We’re going to miss you guys too but I don’t doubt we’re going to see each other in the future.

Deny it all you want but whether it was intentional or not, it was embarrassing for you guys. We still kept lowlands in the end after every wall and gate were broken (including inner).

And don’t bring up the numbers excuse.

First off. You really shouldn’t come to the forums and complain about being double teamed. Especially if the entire design behind wvwvw, that’s 3 Ws, is a constant double team.

Second, if you know well that this tier can at best Q one map during non prime time, 2 during prime time. You shouldn’t make the strategic decision to take and hold SM in the one map that begs double team.

Third, don’t make statements that come across as the following; " When it happens to us its double teaming, when it happens to you its WvW." You come across as QQ cry babies , and that only invites, further double teaming.

Last but not least. If you haven’t figured it out by now. If you take and hold SM , we take all your other stuff. NSP has figured it out, why can’t you?

I’ve been told by the commanders of AR and NSP themselves at that time that this was an intentional double team. They contacted each other in the hopes of flipping our keep.

It was really obvious. For 4 hours, the two servers did not touch any of their lands. Not even an unupgraded Stonemist via trebs from Overlook. (How much does NSP love Stonemist again?). They just focused us.

Would it be fair to say that the only reason that BP won last week was because of the constant double teaming that AR received. Intentional or not, reset night and all week?

WHAT? You were all up in NSP’s borderlands 24/7. We did not team you at all. Not to mention NSP had not once touched your borderlands.

We also held SM the majority of the week which means 100 trebs from Overlook daily.
