If what Kalkz was saying was true, then I would agree. But in both WvW and sPvP your build should always be set up for group cohesion and use of combos. That really doesn’t change (You should also have multiple builds ready and the gear depending on what you are doing). For a character with a lot of toughness and healing, he drops like a lead balloon. Maybe some of you folks on Borlis can figure out what he does wrong. I have fought some VERY tanky characters, and Kalkz is not one of them.

We haven’t really learned anything that would help us fight more effectively against AR from the recent transfers. Conversation has been a whole lot more of “Wow, I love how friendly and organized you guys are!” than “Psssst! This is (insert commander name here)’s favorite time to attack. He likes to hit North gate, so we should set up OP arrow carts there first!”

These new transfers have brought fresh blood, different voices, and good attitudes. They haven’t brought over a masterplan that lays out all of AR’s techniques and strategies. BP had a commander transfer over by the name of Ugly Fied too. For all the “intimate knowledge” of their server he supposedly has, the only people who have any interest in listening to him are our upleveled pugs. I still haven’t heard a thing from him that wasn’t something we already knew, and he doesn’t have any more luck in Eternal than our other pug commanders who refuse to coordinate and cooperate with anyone else.

So yeah, don’t worry about these “traitors” spreading all your secrets. When it comes down to it, I’m pretty sure we know all we really need to about your server and your server knows all that it needs to know about us. After over a month of fighting in the same match-up, we all kind of naturally pick up on the other’s tendencies.

Watch out for that grub.

I’m not sure if it’s still happening but during that mini dungeon, SAB, on the final boss, some people’s cameras would glitch and stay zoomed out. They would then enter WvW with a zoomed out camera which can see everything inside a tower and they would use this to their advantage on an arrow cart.

We’ve been in outmanned in Eternal since reset! And 90% of the time it’s from AR not Ebay.

AR has a hard on for that map this week. They need to turn around and look after their own borderlands a bit more because I’ve seen their night time population. It’s more than capable.

Their morning population is pretty good too. I think all our morning populations are equal, it’s just how we use them that matters.

BP makes excuses for every time they use something they shouldn’t. You’re no different at this point. Even you’ve been on the receiving end of their stuff, and been upset about it.

Yet here you’re expressing double standards. I bet if I search past posts, before this video you guys used the tactics as represented in that video, and called them legit too, at that time.

BP has been at the receiving end enough that they know where to look. They botched our attempt on their hills a couple minutes ago. That’s called sweeping. They have twenty people running around for a few minutes scouring the place – not a handful who randomly drop their Marks (lawl). That’s what EBay does when it takes a keep too. If you don’t want to lose your stuff, take care of it better. What you did is run around with a Swiffer and start crying on the forums when you missed a spot.

Go ahead and search for posts about Ez btw. All you will find is stuff thanking him for bringing it to ArenaNet’s attention. Good luck though.

It’s okay Kalkz, maybe one day you’ll be able to do something outside of knock open empty towers. There’s this aspect of WvW called “player versus player,” I suggest you try it.

I’m not sure if you’re aware but Kalkz does not live in NA time zone. He’s an oceanic and he can’t help knocking on your empty towers because that’s what WvW is when he wakes up until he goes to sleep.

Ehmry Bay, I came here to say good job (not sarcastically). You’re truly playing how you should play to move up a tier. If some Ehmry are not sure what I’m talking about, it’s the capturing of the keeps in your spawn side of enemy borderlands and holding it. That’s how you WvW if you’re the big server and how you do well. Before, all you did was zerg us in your prime time but this is different and I say good job. Keep up the good work guys.

WFD, aka Water For Diving, aka Watching Friends Die aka Waypoint First, Dudes put on a synchronized swimming show for the Ehmry Bay defenders in the south ruins river. Their compatriots SBZY and WAR were hunted down like dogs and unceremoniously tossed in the dumpster…the only success they had all night was Siegerazer spamming a paper breakout tower until they finally zerged it down after umpteen tries…only to hold it for all of 15 minutes.

WFD was cornered and with fear in their eyes, they waved white flags, desperately hoping not to get stomped again by Sekz.

Swimming to and fro they went…around and around and around they go…WFD FORM SHAPE OF DOUGHNUT!

On the shoreline, lazily eying the proceedings, stood Sekz and the other Ehmry defenders. After running out of tricks, WFD, gasping for breath, sopping wet, and looking like a pack of mangy dogs, crawled to shore where they were promptly converted into badges and juicy WvWXP (thanks for marinating in the water!).

And Ehmry continued dumpstering BP and AR and EBay lived happily ever after.

I do like the recommendation from them that AR hit an area that will help secure BP getting a wider lead on AR. Those are brilliant tactics if we are trying to get a BP win.

AR finally engages ebay..(even tho they took it from a keep that was previously owned and downgraded by BP). But if they stay in ebay, it’s all good, it’s how the fight is supposed to work with 2nd and 3rd place servers hitting the 1st place server.

This is the first time AR has done this. good job AR, you finally are not playing for 3rd, instead, you are playing smart.

How do you get from third to first without overtaking “second”?

I am amazed that there are BP players on here that don’t realize that EBay is dictating the score, maybe not intentionally, but that’s what is happening. Yes BP gained a 10K lead on AR yesterday, but do you think it may have something to do with the ARBL being half red and half green all day yesterday? I thought it was Christmas for a while. And if Ebay had decided to do that to BPBL, then you would see the opposite. I really can’t believe that there are some BP players that don’t get that.

Ebay certainly kicking some kitten this is true. Though to be fair, Borlis Pass has stopped fighting Ebay and is focusing solely on Anvil Rock. They just can’t figure out its the duty of the weaker servers to ruin it for the stronger, but instead they just kept going into our keeps while we were trying to wreck Ebay borderlands. We got tired of constantly being back doored by AR while we tried to fight Ebay, so now AR is gonna be the red team in this tier. On the plus side though, this means Ebay may finally get their wish and move up a tier. Still a long time till friday though.

Lets be honest here. You got tired of coming in 3rd , so now your playing for 2nd.

This gotta be a joke, no you MUST be joking. what we’ve done in ONE DAY to get a 10k lead on you is to show you that we can also play for 2nd. like i said YESTERDAY me and some guilds are going to focus AR instead of Ebay and now you’re over 10k behind. and that was just ONE day. our crew managed to hold ebay hills for 18 hours, use your brain for a minute here mr. -K

You do realize that the only reason you made so much ground on AR is because some groups from EBay started “bowling” people off cliffs, the group grew, and we ended up taking most of AR map while you were working on the other side for no other good reason than “we felt like it.” AR didn’t drop 10k points because of your intensity, Kalkz. They dropped 10k points because they were at the mercy of both servers for the majority of the day and night.

BP should be able to sympathize a bit there. You know what it’s like. I’m just continuously amazed at some of the posters here who have some crazy ability to completely forget that fact for the five minutes it takes them to post on the forums.

AR didn’t drop 10k points, you can’t drop any points in WvW. BP gained a 10k point lead on AR. And the only way to do that is if our PPT is higher than theirs. So whatever Ehmry did was to help themselves not us.

Im at a point now where if im not commanding my guildies and im on a map with no other commander, I just solo supply camps with it on, in the hopes that people will come to the reality that they should automatically rally on me, but 99% of PUG’s dont anyway.

IMO a Commander shouldnt have to ask people to rally, it should be expected, but its no loss to me, I can only do so much, people shouldnt be allowed to use the “Im a PUG I didnt know any better” excuse.

Anyways, what I hate the most is when you have little to no commanders in WvW but there are lots in LA with their tags on..

One thing everyone needs to understand is that Kalkz IS NOT BP. Kalkz is just a forum troll and a commander. Nothing more, nothing less.

Kalkz occasionally commands at night time (his morning) and does capture keeps but he is not the only one doing it. We have many other Oceanic commanders who are amazing.

@ Sekz saying we’re not improving. I beg to differ. You see us not improving but we see us improving and that’s all that matters.

@Rashagal, BP did not get any transfers (when we were in tier 8/7) and I will deny it to this day.

-Sekz, you do have some skillful players indeed, but you have you also have numbers. And you are chest bumping against a guild that are not a bunch of hs/college students like yourselves, but instead people that are way to old to bother feeding into your post =). So chest bump away, and zerg on! Also.. way to up-transfer to an already higher populated server in the attempts to leech tier advancement. That’s the way to win!

You realize we transferred from a red server specifically TO a red server, right? We WANT GOOD FIGHTS and those are typically found when you’re losing and getting pushed hard. If we’re losing overall, but at least we have opposition who will come out and put up a strong fight, we’re ecstatic. We know very well that EBay has and will struggle in T4 due to our massive coverage gaps, but primetime? Our server will easily make green and blue pay for territory in vats of blood (and badges in our bags). You guys talk as if we’re going to be sad getting spanked in T4. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Bullying you guys is seriously less interesting than me logging off my necro to catch my daily Shadow Behemoth tag on my baby mesmer. Coming from a die hard DAoC ganker who cried rivers when ToA forced PvE on the PvP population, that is truly, truly a shame.

Also, Sekz members only showed up to “chest thump” when Walabone decided to get uppity and not know his place by crowing about making some small guilds run away. I guess if you get dumpstered that hard week after week after week, even small victories are important. It’s nothing but excuses with your guild. Weeks ago, it was “we never fight you at full strength.” So we fought you earlier for at least two resets now (with the same result of crushing your group in seconds). Then it turned into, “we’re casuals,” and yet you folks posture on the forums as if your guild were an organized, legitimate threat. Now, it’s “we’re always outnumbered by the Sekz zerg, boo hoo.” I know very well that we both record videos. Under strength, even numbers, outnumbered…the result with you guys is always the same. Please stop with the delusion that you would “put up a good fight if only we could fight Sekz with our full strength.” Stop making excuses and get good, please…and I don’t even mean this snidely. You’ve had weeks of attending in this tier with Sekz school in session and the change/improvement is minimal. At least we see an evolution in good flanking from AR WAR (then again, I’ve always found AR to be a more credible threat fighting-wise even when we were on NSP), even though they are plagued with the same issue you guys have: drivers that have little to no idea what they’re doing and an almost comical hesitancy (I suppose that goes hand in hand with point #1). When I heard you guys came from Warhammer, I was hoping for a more nuanced and skilled response (seeing as how it was DAokittene) in open field battles. Evidently, that was misplaced.

It’s so boring fighting you guys I don’t even bother using anything but staff 1 and 2 on my necro to tag you guys for loot bags ASAP before you guys get dumpstered. At least with AR WAR, I’ll use 1-5. The end result, of course, is that both of you guys die in seconds, but at least they are constantly pushing to improve and at least making me work for my dumpstering. There’s no shame in being casual, but at least stop acting as if you guys were a skilled group. You guys eat pugs, we eat you. I’m sure at some point we’ll run into a group that really pushes us to the limit. There’s always yet another peak to climb and I think it’s patently obvious to everyone that Sekz won’t fight that group in this matchup. We dearly miss ADQQSty from DR. Win or lose, those were generally ALWAYS good fights. With you guys, we literally have a “beekeeping” plan where we fight you with no armor or only autoattacks so you guys will get an ego boost win and want to come out and fight instead of show up all ragged and demoralized and die on engage. The sad thing is, I think our GL is actually even halfway serious about throwing fights now.

I don’t support exploiting but when you catch Kalkz or anyone on BP actually exploiting then you have every reason to complain. If you just assume it’s exploiting without any proof, then there isn’t much myself or anyone on BP can do.

I don’t know how Kalkz does these things nor was I on when he took hills but he told me he did not cheat his way through it and I believe him. However, if he lied to me, he’s going on my block list.

Having had the pleasure of fighting with all three keeps in Eternal, I can confirm that Lowlands Keep is hands down the best keep in the game from a purely strategic point of view. From lowlands, you can see all entry ways into your corner. Both the supply camps are a short jump off the walls away. A treb placed on the inner walls can hit every tower in the corner, regardless of placement. The waypoint is 15 seconds away from every tower in the zone.

Overlook by comparison, is a nightmare for defending the zone. I will admit, from a stand alone point of view Overlook is probably the hardest keep to take, but it is useless from the point of view of defense. The only tower it can effectively defend is Veloka. Ogreswatch is close, but requires sky diving to reach in time, while Mendons Gap and Anzalius are essentially isolated fire bases that a few brave guards occasionally try (and fail) to hold as the Zerg desperately attempts to reach them across the wide open fields to the west of the keep. I don’t know how many times I have led a desperate charge to Mendons only to see the enemy walking happily across the bridge to the tower lord while I am still racing for the stairs leading to the gate.

The only tower that’s difficult to take on the green side is Wildcreek.

Red side seems hard to defend but it really isn’t, here’s my reasoning.

Mendons is the closest tower to any waypoint. The first waypoint can take you to Mendons in literally 5-10 seconds. Once people are actually inside mendons, it’s easy to defend and hard for the enemy to capture.
Anzalias Pass is a hard tower to defend but mortars and trebs from Overlook can reach the gate and make it non-rammable. They will need to cata but (if upgraded enough) mortars should handle those easily.
Ogrewatch if sieged properly shouldn’t be lost. It has remote locations for good siege placements which makes the enemy vulnerable. There’s also a chokepoint inside the tower if the enemy manages to break through. Make 4 ballistas and 3 Arrow carts and they’ll never pass.
Veloka is the second hardest tower to capture in Eternal (behind Langor). Almost everything from Overlook can reach to defend it.

Overlook keep itself is pretty easy to defend. The only downside is the water gate does not have oil or cannons.

Anvil Rock is a nice and fun server. If whoever is considering a server, Anvil Rock is definitely a good choice.

They have good commanders and know how to work well with each other.
