We have people of all ages playing, but I get the impression that BP does have a higher percentage of older people playing. Part of that comes simply from every conversation not being 14 year boy trash talk, but for other reasons as well.

I have been defending the BL on more than one evening when the topics of conversation have been the kids high school (or even college) graduations, second marriages, vacation properties, bad backs, bad knees and the general annoyance of not being able to punish one’s body like you can in your twenties without paying for it.

I for one would love to see a debate between YB and BP on who is the more mature server! Please commence!

I couldn’t give two craps about beating a server with higher ranking. I am still playing this game for one reason: fights. The PPT game is old and worn out. It’s you guys that actually care about PPT, not me. Beating a server with higher ranking doesn’t even mean anything except that the other server’s coverage is in flux. So the former. I would love to see the former.

So you will beat your chest all night about beating a server that is a full tier and a combined 9 ranks below its opponents, but you don’t care about PPT.

I think the fact that you can’t actually beat ANYONE who is ranked higher than you leads to your disdain of PPT far more than any love of a good fight. I mean, how good a fight can the doors put up anyway?

i honestly do not know how to respond to this. A completely ignorant comment made by someone that some ebayers respected. It is the most incorrect statement you could make in regards to the topic. borlis has huge coverage during all time slots and they refuse to leave thier towers w/o outnumbering you 4:1. Do you not realize how many people have transferred to your server? All of our fair weather rally bots left our server about a month ago leaving us out-manned consistently during prime hours.

I think Mag, SoS and CD are the most obvious pairings, as well as EB, BP and YB. That’s just due to ranking though.

BP, Mag and SoS would be fun to see.

SoS wouldn’t be fun at all. We rolled over their NA every single night to the point where they stopped showing up. Mag has essentially no night presence and our EU presence is made up of NA people who have the day off work and decide to karma train. We also don’t have any weekend warriors, so we pull ahead during the week when other servers bleed population. SoS, on the other hand, has a night presence, so we’d wake up to a 400+ PPT for SoS and sub-100 for us. Can we say “carried?”

YB we roll over because their coverage is even less than ours.

I don’t really have an opinion on BP yet, though, because it’s hard to find less than 40 of them in a zerg. Judging by that [Agg] steamroll video and the Guardian actually using the offensive book, the outlook isn’t very good.

The only competition we get any more is against DB/TC/FA. JQ was hard to handle because they’d roll around with full queues and drop open field siege everywhere. If you caught their zerg away from a tower and without open field siege, though, free bags galore.

I haven’t bothered to be active on the forums ever since fighting BG / SOR cause I was overwhelmed by how many pages of “coverage” debates went on. After skimming through this current match up thread, I can tell it’s already going to be more interesting to read.

Just to clear things up BP because I know you guys have a rumor network run by 5 year olds, here’s a direct quote from Ehmry forums about why we’d leave. You guys can continue believing what you want though and telling everyone your reason for us leaving.

“Hi. If we have another repeat of what happened with BP / DR matchup and lose cause guilds take it easy or fairweather the week, Rekz will be leaving. We have fought tier 2 and tier 3 servers competitively without fairweather. This is inexcusable. End all your internal guild bullkitten, and clean up your game. Pug commanders, do your jobs and command the pugs.”

After fighting against more competitive servers, Ehmry started losing it’s pug community and then the main guilds were becoming less active. It was like that for weeks. After a brutal beating by DB / TC, we finally had a fairer matchup against CD / BP but the fairweathers took their time to show up. We never cared about winning, just wanted the community to try. We weren’t going weeks before wvw became more enjoyable again.

I stopped reading after this. The only thing BURN was good at was doing guild missions and PvE events every day. GOAT raided like what, 1-2 times a week? Wow we were being carried by these two guilds?

Well I’m sorry you were laughed at by my members, majority of us do not like that kind of behavior and I have talked to my members about it recently. Although the guild thing is a bit much. As majority of my members do not do that to anyone unless they trolled them first. A lot of people laugh and taunt from your server especially when they 6v1 one of us. Every server does it, every guild does, everyone does or has done it. I suppose if you like wasting the 1 silver to make a guild that’s on you, but its really low. I also do apologize on behalf of my guild though I don’t like that kind of kitten.

We get a lot of great fights and we as a server have a lot of fun working together. The only drama we really have on our server is within guilds. And when there is a drama we make sure our guilds stay out of it. But again you do have to remember there will always be a troll and drama. Every server has it. Apparently, high rank a good fighter does not always make.

Oh god no. Some of the most terrible players I’ve fought have been higher rank than myself. I had some like Bronze Invader the other day Heartseeker me repeatedly while I was at full health, right in my warrior’s face. I’ve seen people do this before, but it’s still one of the most hilarious things to look at even so. You can really tell who has just hopped on board the karma train.

Also, and not in any way related to the previous topic. Would the esteemed Choco or any other of our myriad of amazing mes players be willing to show me some of the good hidey holes around WvW? My next project is my mezzums. =3

I’ve actually found some hilariously good hiding spots on my warrior while inside of keeps like Hills and whatnot. If they don’t find me I’m actually able to flip it myself if I’m all the way on inner. XD
