Precursors are falling. Spark went from 670g to 635g(buy now) / 640g to 525g!(bid). Dawn dropped also 30g(buy now). Cheap precursors are going up right now.

I think precursors will fall until we can craft them ourselves, then people will realise it will be the same(I guess around 500-600g) amount time/gold you will need to buy it from the tp —> Precursors will explode up again.

Problem right now: people think ANet will throw the precursos for like 300g(g for crafting it) at them. Well, some of us will probably take the “problem” into budget, if you know what I mean?

ANet, serious question: Do you try the patches before or do you just throw them towards us?

Yeah. Someone should send this post to ANet, it´s sooo true. I dont like using conjured weapons, because I want to use MY weapons which I earned through the game. ANet is forcing us to use them to do at least some DPS. I dont have any hope for elementalists in the future(just look at the leaked patchnotes(next week) and the leaked patchnotes for the “big” Octoberpatch, ANet still think elementalists are fine).

And btw: Yes, warriors are way to overpowered, I have one myself. They will never get nerfed, because most of the ANet Dev Team are playing a warrior.

There will be no new legendary weapons! ANet said in a interviewe, they will introduce new legendarys(but no weapons, it will be backpacks or something similar) – that´s also the reason why they updated the legendarys(visual).

That´s it. I will drop my ele and change to a mesmer. Instead of buffing us, you nerf us(YOU CANT BE SERIOUS NerfNet!) – look at these forums, oh wait, I forgott: NO ONE CARES ABOUT ELEMENTALISTS since no one of the devs play an eleementalist you have no vision for this class. You play warriors and guardians…uhhhh…both overpowered classes at the moment(I have a warrior myself, so I know what I´m talking about).

And then ANet is wondering why the playerbase is so low. For me that´s it. I will get my legendary this week(instead I thinking about selling my g, because this game isn´t worth it anymore), besides that really great games coming in the next weeks(GTA V, FIFA 14 etc.)

Besides that I´m about to get my first legendary and I love sunrise, unfortunately eles can only wear 4 weapons(staff, scepter, dagger, focus) -.-

So I was thinking about getting a mesmer. What I really love about mesmers are the variety of their supporting skills: teleport, portal, timewarp, invisibility, reflections, walls etc. and I think it´s a very unique class, pretty popular on my server(Elona Reach). Besides that you can equip them with a lot of weapons(greatsword, sword, focus, pistol, staff, torch etc.).

So, how much fun is mesmer at the endgame? How about the variety of builds? Are there any “must have weapons” for mesmers? How about the motivation to play them after you reach 80 – are they still fun?

I m not a fan of having alts but since anet pvp balance pushed me away from ele after 1000 hours of play i leveled a mesmer and i almost only play it nowaday.

Leveling mesmer is the most boring thing on the planet maybe…once it get to 80 things changes.

You have:

Shatter build that plays quite similar D/D ele. (but its not so good in dungeon/fractals imho)

Phantasm build that plays exactly opposite to ele D/D but its really fun and effective once you get it…does everything in PvE dps+support+reflect and its a lot reaction based rather than rotation based like shatter or D/D ele.

Also you have lot of utility that are really useful to swap in game.

p.S: imho must have weapon is sword….because its fun (really strong also)

So, mesmer is more fun than ele? I have a warrior on 80, a ranger on 80 and of course my elementalist on 80 and I love to play with my elementalis, because it requires more skill.

Because there are only two (heavy)armor sets which look good on a charr: T3 Cultural(and T1 Shoulders), CoF armor. That´s it.

I wish we would get a kittene for completing tribulation mode. Come on ANet, we deserve one!

Well written. But ANet will still ignore us…

Difference:

Ele with Staff —> Distance
Ele with Dagger/Dagger --> Melee
Ele with Scepter/Focus —> Distance
Ele with Scepter/Dagger --> Distance/Melee

The only variable option is S/D. Now take a look at the other classes, they have much more combinations, they can decide when to go in and when to go out of a fight, because they can simply switch(ele cant). In other words…give Elementalists a new weapon(Greatsword, Sword etc. whatever, something two handed maybe with melee/distance options).

I´m sure it´s a troll post, everyone knows that eles are probabaly the baddest class at this moment in the game(no matter which build or weapon), just look at the elementalist forums and see how ANet ignores the threads.

Just gives us more health(i have a full zerk warrior, if I would land hundred blades on my elementalist I would kill her nearly three times…..), reduce our colldowns and push our DPS. You know what? NOTHING will happen, because ANet think Eles are fine(simply ignoring that EVERY SINGLE thread in the elementalist forum is QQ).

Ohhh and what I always wanted to know ANet: for what are our auto attacks(skill 1), only for fun right? DMG is a joke and you know that…

Pretty much everyone want this kind of item in the shop. It´s ridiculous that your legendary(which took months of farming, exploring, crafting etc.) can only be used by one character.

I wouldn´t suggest to buy ectoplasms at this moment. Price will drop, because a lot of people are salvaging their rares to get ectos out of it(including me)and make a good amount of profit. More ectos entering the market → price go down.

right now I have about 600g(+ 50 of every T6) and I want to go for the incinerator. Because I dont really want to farm anymore( no motivation) I´m thinking about the mystic toilet.

I guess I ´ll go for tones of greatswords(because the chance is slighly higher(Dusk and Dawn)). Lets say 30 silver each on the AH = 1 attempt will be 1,2g = 500 attempts. Any tips?

From what I have read/heard/watched, regarding the upcoming patch, if…

I transmute my legendary with a magic find stats exotic weapon,

will it become account bound after the patch?

Then, I use the special item which converts the transmuted legendary back to a “real” one?

Will the weapon become soulbound again, once equipped? Sounds like a good way to move it.. if this does work.

That said, I don’t care to move mine, I am happy with the toons I have them on already.

You can move it now, transmute it to a white/blue item(will be account bound).

You can afterwards transmute an exotic green/yellow/orange stat onto it with the character you want it on(not really needed but if you want to keep on using it with exotic stats until the patch) and split it later.

No announcement yet if that Recover Transmuted item will be available through gem store so it’s not a good idea to move ascended back pieces if you wanna keep the stats.

Yep. Eles without stacked might are useless, even with stacked might they dont deal great DPS. That´s how this class works, if you dont have stacked enough might, you already lost the battle.

Agree with you. The footfall effect looks lame and I want the blue trail back…

I really hate ANet for the livestream they made yesterday. As a result of that in one hour ectos and T6 mats skyrocked ~30%. It´s ridiculous, because now we need much more gold for the gifts for a legendary. And the precursors skyrocked too. I am really loosing the motivation to get my legendary, it gets harder and harder because ANet cant control the market and they nerf everything they patch, because theykitten#8230;. it up.

Anyway, GTA V is coming in a few weeks

I wouldn´t suggest elementalist, because it´s the hardest class to play with. Besides that ele needs a big buff(just open the elementalist forum, QQ in every single thread). And the only good option for high DPS is Lightning Hammer(which is annoying), because I want to deal high DPS with MY weapons.

Mesmer is a very cool class in my opinion. Light armor on females + greatsword looks awesome. Played it a short time, but the greatsword skills are so boring that I quitted. If you are fine with the greatsword skills, you should give Mesmer a try(portal, teleport, invisibility, timewarp etc. are amazing supporting skills).

I cant tell anything about Necros, because I never played this class, considering that there are a lot of Necros at the moment(after the huge buff) I would guess the class is fine

What I dont get: For what are elementalists auto attacks(Skill 1)? The DMG is a joke, they are useless in my opinion…any tipps? You guys even use the auto attack?

I play everything besides PvP(never tried), usually PvE and WvW.

I finally reached lvl 80 on my elementalist and I´m really struggling about upgrading her armor/weapons etc.

My main is a full zerk warrior and warriors are a lot of fun. A lot of hp, awesome damage(up to 40K with hundred blades) and a great variety of weapons to choose from(while only has staff, dagger, focus and scepter -.- ). I just cant see the advantage of playing an elementalist over my warrior, dont get me wrong I love the skills(visual) and light armor on female humans looks awesome etc. It´s just…on eles you need to know how to use your combos, when to use skills and how to combine them etc.(dont get really rewarded for investing your time into it), with my warrior I just stack might —> hundred blades and that´s it(. Sounds lame, but is still fun to me. Besides that I have the feeling, that elementalists arent really popular for dungeons etc., every time I ask “Should I switch to my warrior?” the answer is ALWAYS “Yes, please”.

Some of you like to call the ele “Jack of all trades”, yeah, I agree with that but I think that´s the biggest disadvantge. Why take an ele with you which can deal some damage, heal, support the group etc. when you can take a warrior(more damage), guardian(better healing), mesmer(better support) etc…and I´m pretty sure that there´s another class which even deal more Aoe damage than an elementalist.

Beside that I really dont like the pool of weapons we can choose as an elementalist. D/D you can only get melee, staff only distance(I know we have the biggest amount of skills, but still…)…not mentioning, that stakitten and daggers(beside incinerator) looking boring in this game(compare it to greatswords, swords or hammers…)

Any tips for me? Is the ele worth it? As I mentioned before I love the skills(visuals) and the light armor on female humans, but somehow I´m not sure to invest my laurels into my ele…
