my guild was at T2. waiting to start T3 later this week. having a big guild though i must say the experience was very unorganized. “ping wp plz” “dont start with out me!” “why did you start so fast!” “where do we go” “where do we meet” – people actually leaving guild due to frustration. the guild got it done though.
Pls can you tell me if you can do mission only once when it’s unlocked and how long it lasts?
We also had a massive group, but a calm and logical approach seems to have done the trick. The last few seconds were chaos though, same as when we beat it :p You can do the mission as many times as you want at the cost of (I believe) 200 influence and there’s a time limit of 15 minutes for each tier.
How was it from a player perspective? Was it as good as you expected? What did you like/not like?
It was a ton of fun (coming from a mostly non-PvE player) but also pretty stressful tbh. I’m just happy people managed to stay calm with 70 people in one teamspeak channel :p I liked the fact that the NPCs aren’t always in the same location and that some people in the map chat were sometimes able to help us. The rewards, although only possible to get once a week, were pretty nice too with 2 rares (or something exotics) + commendations + money.
It’s just a nice overall experience to be doing it with a guild instead of random people.
Congrats on completing the guild missions. Some questions I would like to ask are:
1.) Are you able to attempt it again immediately if you fail? Since you guys succeeded, how long will it be before you guys can/are allowed to attempt it again?
2.) How tricky are these guys to find? Do you think that bosses from tier 1 bounties are easier?
3.) Any notable fighting mechanics to be aware of?
Thanks
1: Yes, once unlocked you can repeat it at the cost of 200 influence each time.
2: Pretty tricky sometimes, but we’ve also managed to find some in a matter of seconds. I guess that was just luck though. The bosses from each tier are the same, but the amount of guys you have to find increases per tier (2-4-6).
3) All the bosses are different and some of them can wipe small groups pretty easily. The most notable mechanic was with I believe Sotzz the Scallywag where you couldn’t damage him unless you pulled/pushed him away from his combofield. For the rest, just be careful for massive damage (and confusion) in general.
Good work DiE! Did it give you enough commendation points to open any of the other guild missions or do you have to run it a few more times?
The rewards can only be reaped once a week so we’ll have to wait a week until we can unlock new stuff
The once a week reward you’re referring to is the 2 commendations, items and 50 silver? Meaning if you do the bounty again there will be no rewards?
We had 3 Champion Kraits spawning at that event too when 20+ of us where lingering around that karma vendor while waiting for Sunless. Imagine the chaos, lol!
That sounds difficult. What happened? Has anyone figured the best approach to these new kraits?
Well, 20+ people were sufficient to handle 3 champions + adds. NPCs though, didn’t stood a chance.
Nice lineup of dailies today. Wish it was more like this than yesterday.
Transferring is not the smartest move in my opinion.
You’re paying ArenaNet to transfer all your characters to another server. And by the way that service used to free.
You could have simply bought another account and created new characters on your new home world. It’s about the same cost.
So you can stay in your old world and experience the new world at the same time.
Server transferred aren’t meant to be free. It was free bcoz guesting wasn’t implemented at that point of time. Server transfer has been planned to be a paid service from day 1.

I only needed these kits for the dredge fractals really because you know, ANet had a weird sense of humor when it comes to inmeasurable amount of dredges.
I remember SoS having a ton of Spikeroot Fruit users. That’s what I remember SoS for.
So I’m wondering is Spikeroot fruit was disabled in WvW now? It’s not a karma item because it costs coppers.
It’s fast if you have a mesmer who knows how to portal and a group that knows how to work the door before last boss.
I ran Arah story mode and it counts. The other 4 I just did CoF path 1 for 4 times, lol.
Whenever I meet a good pug player, I’ll add them to my friend list. That’s one way to prevent abusive party kicking.
Right clicking shouldn’t target anything. ANet should make it an option to select target with right clicking.
I’ve had wooden chest dropping talons, spike and fins. Is this normal?
I think every class needs a skill to “detect” stealth units. It’s only fair to have stealth and detection.
Thanks for the new content but also try to fix culling. The previous patch made culling horribly worst.
yeah, and have scammers prey on your easily given trust.
my advice, sell the dawn, buy a dusk, sure you’ll lose money, but i’d rather be safe than sorry
Yes, what he said. I would advice you against it as there aren’t any trading function between players other than mail. You might get scammed of your Dawn or you might be scamming someone (it goes both ways). Sell it on the TP and buy a Dusk off the TP.
What if your guild only has one member? Is this going to be achieveable?
I doubt you can be considered a guild with one player. Its called solo play when one player.
If he/she created a guild then he/she is a guild regardless if he/she is the only one in it. Put your condescending attitude to rest.
By definition, a guild is: “An association of people for mutual aid or the pursuit of a common goal.”
The official wiki even states: “Guilds are formal groupings of players that enable them to play together more effectively and reward them for doing so.”
Doesn’t matter what the interwebz definition is. It remains a fact that a guild can be created with just 1 player. Stop extracting statements to answer something you didn’t read.
No one is asking for the definition of the word guild.
If people expect guild content to be designed with 1-player guilds in mind, then yes, the definition was needed. Being able to create a guild with one member doesn’t mean it can fully function without needing more.
Therefore the asker was asking what if he’s in the guild alone? Will he be able to experience guild missions? There’s always a possibility of a one man guild whether it is intended or not.
Dragon’s tooth and Meteor are two very different AoE mechanics. You stand under the tooth, you will definitely get hit, compared to you standing under the meteor and you might not get hit. Unless your hitbox is as big as the meteor’s AoE, which in that case is a very huge bug.

Precursors such as The Legend do have a chance to drop from a JP chest.
It surely still does. Just test it on some huge boss and you’ll see the hits bouncing in your combatlog.
That’s because it’s just one enemy. You will never hit more than two targets at a time with meteor anymore even if there’s like 10 enemies under it.
Jade Quarry Temple of Balthazar is open.
Not many players will take time to learn boss buffs and mechanics. To them is just dps it. I usually inform my team when boss is vulnerable to CC and tell them to save it when boss is about to cast a certain dangerous skill.
Weird, it isn’t broken in my server. Jade Quarry.
now that Doomguard.5094 mentioned the run + pickup bug
and you mentioned cliffside fractal. is it possible, that you lose control and fall off only when you try to pick up hammer without stopping? that would explain it. as it’s known bug – interacting with objects while running. picking weapon/banner, building siege etc… cannot stop for the duration of ‘action’ even if it failed to happen.
Yea, it only happens when I run and try to hit ‘F’ to pick up stuff like Hammer or Jade Maw Shards. However, its occurrence isn’t isolated to Fractals only. It happens in PVE and WvW too. As long as I run and try to pick up things, I will not be able to stop.
Interracting with objects while having your right mouse button pressed is causing problems. This is a very old bug that exists since release (and no fix yet) try to avoid pressing right mouse button when you want to pick up something from the ground.
Thanks for the tips! Hope it helps.
Yup, everyone always miss the Chantry of Secrets. Same goes for me. I was wondering where’s the last POI and Chantry of Secrets was the one missing.
I got 2 globs from 1 fotm 10 run and 1 vial from 1 fotm 8 run.
1) send a bug report in-game. Tell your friends to wait for you until finished.
2) Until its fixed : be prepared to hit the “S” key when approaching a ledge.
Hit the S or just hop “jump” to stop that runaway train.I had the same problem a few months ago. I changed keyboards soon after so I cant say if it was a bug or my hardware. But this is what worked for me.
Don’t think it’s a hardware issue. I’ve tried swapping keyboards but same thing happened and it happened to 3 of my friends too.
Hitting ‘S’ or ‘Spacebar’ was the first reaction but didn’t helped either. I gotta smash all sorts of keys and hope it stops. Really irritating bug.
This is a very annoying and infuriating bug. Character keeps on moving forward even after I let go of the ‘W’ button and no, I did not hit ‘R’. This has cause me and my team to repeatedly walk off the platform on cliffside fractal. Anet needs to fix this stupid bug ASAP. This is bad programming. Bad quality product.
Anyway, back to the topic. Level cap raising still a possibility. Would love to see more weapon options/skills for each profession too.
Yup, people should definitely make sure they are up to date with the latest news before contesting others where they based it from. Lol.
Actually you can expect a level cap raise but I bet that will come with an expansion and not content update. GW1 could not raise it’s level cap due to limitations as stated by one of the developers.
and what exactly does you base this one? I honeslty dont think nor hope so, one of the selling points of gw2 is that it should be accesible by anyone, by raising the lvl cap you do the opposite of that, and no matter how liniaer the lvling curve is it will eventually be very long time consuption to get to max level
I knew there will be people like you. I’ve prepared in advanced enjoy.

Personally, I view it from a different point of view. I have never done dungeons other than ac, cm and arah story mode. This is a good opportunity and excuse to finally get my lazy kitten up and try a dungeon.
Goku light armor anyone?
Haha yea. Was crafting at the weaponsmithing station and this really awesome sexual moan came up. My friend thought I was watching some adult video. Lol!
More jumping puzzles like the one where we have to gather 12 orbs for 3 chests in Malchor’s Leap please!!
Josh, would love to take this opportunity to thank you on all the magnificent jumping puzzle you’ve made. Me and my friends enjoy solving every one of it. Especially the one where we gotta gather 12 orbs for 3 chests in Malchor’s Leap.
That guide is accurate. Don’t brush it as totally off when you didn’t even use it. Also, cooking only required 2 gold of you aren’t using renown heart vendors for bulk ingredients.
They need to create a staff with an elemental orb perched on top that changes to whatever atunement the elementalist is attuned to. If Mesmer then purple orb, if guardian a foefire-like orb, if necro a skull.
NO for reasons probably listed in one or more of these posts.
However, what should be considered is this:
Instead of introducing a higher level cap, introduce another tier of armor and weapons in the expansion. Progression stat-wise would be better.
Or introduce a sort of passive skill tree like in Path of Exile.
It would complement the current trait bars and could be used to interesting effects i think.
He said it. Passive skill tree is most welcomed.
No level cap but I welcome new skills (weapon skills/utility skills) or a new combination of weapon for each profession such as short sword for Ele n stuff like that.
I agree, after the recent patch where they suppose to fix culling, it seems like culling got worse. Used to be only in WvW, now even PVE has culling issues. I’m running a i7-3930k, 16gb 1666Ghz ddr3, GTX 590 and SSD.

Hi. My friend is having an issue while playing Guild Wars 2. He’s connected to the internet using a Local Area Network cable connected to the router. He stated that since the recent patch, he’s been getting disconnected a lot whenever he’s playing Guild Wars 2 but not other games which requires online connection such as Dota 2.
He tried switching to Wireless connect, the issue didn’t occur but he’s lagging very badly whenever there’s an event like Claw of Jormag. He’s graphic settings are all on Low.
He’s using a Razor Blade running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. The router is a D-Link DIR-655.
Just a quick hijack question. The dragon Claw of Jormag in Frostgroge Sound, it is the elder dragon Jormag itself or just some champ like Shatterer and Sunless?
Isn’t that mountain Kralkatorrik? http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kralkatorrik
Yes, Chauncey Von Snuffles deserves that
What we can take from this forum is that people here tends to complain about every single changes ANet makes. #truegw2facts #truestory
Since when GW2 was advertised as a PVP e-sport oriented game? All they said was they aim for their PVP to be e-sport quality but it is still a PVE centric MMORPG. Learn to read bro. If u insists GW2 is advertised as a PVP centric game, kindly link the advertisement.
