I logged in, to find myself in 3d mode.
I do not have a 3d monitor, and I definately do not have glasses/etc.
I never turned this setting on, but I cannot turn it off either… It is just a grayed out square.

Mesmers require tactics. If you have tactics, you win. Therefore; people see mesmers as being OP.
They are not OP. You just have no strategy yourself, and therefore; are easily rolled over by a smart team.
Yeah, we are a utility class man. Obviously Anet does not want us to do anything OTHER than portal and build siege. Else they would not be nerfing everything that makes the class what it is

There is no healing class. There are no uber efficient healing skills (including water ele). Anet made this choice since the beginning – everyone has to rely on his own mitigating skills – like rolling, and standing out of damage. They want a PvP that’s action based not skill based. You want games where PvP is based on using the right skill rotation and maybe the best items ? there are plenty but not this one.
How do you imagine that putting 40 players in the same spot in space is something “smart” and not an engine abuse ? Stacking 40 people in the same point is a “valid tactic” ? Just because ANet can’t switch collision detection (would be a mess) it does not mean they wanted people to do this. Just like the fact that they cannot switch to server side position handling (to avoid lag and rubberbanding) – doesn’t mean you are allowed to teleport.
The turtle is a symbol for a specific sort of gameplay: numbers + specific skill rotation + abuse of skill limitations/flaws. This is hopefully not the sort of gameplay they want on GW2.
The problem with your logic is that there are plenty of ways to counter a turtle.. I have been with my guild when we send one engineer out to bomb them all away from the center, and mop up after that.
We have also used mesmers temporal curtain to pull them out. The ONLY aspect of a turtle I can imagine needing a change is stability. The fact that you cannot touch/knockdown/move the people in it is possibly needing a fix. Every other aspect of it is easy to counter with MAXIMUM of 2 skills, from one person.

I agree and totally understand that teleporting a huge zerg instantly from one location to another is game breaking in wvwvw. But all this “nerf” did was make my puzzle jumping a bit harder now.
Revert the cooldown to 60 seconds and put a maximum of 3 or 5 charges on portal use. That will fix its opness in wvwvw and mesmer’s personal use is unchanged.
How is it game-breaking? It takes one intelligent engineer, or guardian with line of warding to make an entire portal useless and to scatter a group trying to use it. If one person can counter it, why is it a problem that one person can create it?

So maybe my suggestion would be to have a 30s debuff effect on a player after using a portal, so they cannot portal again in that time? That would stop people from charging into a fight, and having a fallback mesmer to just portal out again if the fight gets rough.
Because in the real world “portal bombs” or moving massive zergs through portals doesn’t always happen when and where people are ready to counter it. So yea you can bemoan the loss of this all you want but it is completely balanced to ask for portals to be able to used by a LIMITED number of players.
Why ArenaNet can’t figure out this themselves is beyond me…

Are you saying, that because someone is organized, something needs to be nerfed from use?
I know, as a mesmer, that the only time my portals are actually used effectively is when I am with my guild doing stuff. Is that not the POINT of having a guild, is to be able to use tactics and strategies to your advantage? If you don’t want to get caught in that circumstance, then find yourself a group that is able to handle the changes 0.o
(And also, if you read some of my other posts I have made plenty of suggestions on ways to fix portals without having a limited number of people go through them.
examples: Debuffs on players who use them so they cannot use another portal within 30 seconds, reduced range on portals, etc)

I do think that would actually be a plausible solution to this problem.
I was thinking more of keeping the zones open to all who want to join the hard mode map, rather than private instances. Personally I’m enjoying the busier feel with more people around.
Possibly hard mode repeatable hearts could be an alternative to VQ? You could get a reward for clearing all the hearts on the map.
This would be ok, but the problem is there could not be as personalized of rewards. As some hearts are insanely stupid, and having the “VQ” be the exact same layout/style of play as the normal version would not be very fun. It would have to be something different, to show that you have “Beat” the zone. I dunno how to do that most easily though.

My suggestion is to re-patch AoE healing skills, to allow them to target 15 people. My reasoning behind this is:
“There are 10x more AoE damage skills than there are AoE heal skills. So having the exact same number of targets, reallly favors the aoe damage. Especially since many races, (ele, ranger, thief, engineer) have more than one AoE damage skill. But healing skills are mostly only 1 per bar.”
Really unfair to a healing-specced character to not actually be able to heal but 1/3 of the people getting hit by AoE damage.
(From my estimates, there are approximately 4x more AoE damage skills as there are AoE heal skills. And they almost ALL last longer as well. So they do more damage, to more people, over more time. Yet healing is OBVIOUSLY the broken trait here.. :/)
Portal’s bound to get another nerf. Extending it’s CD didn’t address ANY of it’s fundamental issues, it was just to pretend they were doing something about it.
Shatter spikes are incredibly powerful in both sPvP and WvW… that’s a possibility. But, my experience is that the stuff people kitten about and gets nerfed often comes way way left of centre; like berserker’s and LoS, cooldown of chaos storm, attack speed of phantasmal mage (lol), Moa.
Honestly I feel like the only possible way of nerfing portals, without breaking their entire functionality is to reduce them to a 1200 range limit. The range that you can use them now is a bit far, I will not deny that.
Build the ram a bit further back so that the edge of the green circle is touching the gate

That is like saying “Oh, well you can just use a bow on a warrior instead of using your sword. That fixes the problem of him 1-shotting you”
It’s providing a side path to it, instead of fixing the problem.

Because, the class was never actually meant to be a healing class. Merely a stand there and look pretty class

That’s not entirely true. For example, nacro staff skill 2 can heal also ele water atonement skill 4 and 5 if i’m not wrong. I’m sure other class will have those king of skill too. We have more damage then healing because we favor damage over healing. Healing output can also increase to the same level with damage by using trait line and healing power+ attribute if we desire to.
That is correct, but that is only if you are using that weapon, which already has 2, or more skills devoted to healing and not damage. What is wrong with someone being suited to healing? How is this any different than a thief that is specced to stay stealthed as long as possible? It is not broken, as it CAN be defeated. It is just a tactic that people use.
Tactics are not broken.
The way people respond to them are.
Healing an area should not be limited to the exact same number of people that 3 of the enemies skills hit.
(as a reference, those 3 instances you point out, while I can easily name about 7 weapon sets for different professions that have more than 2 AoE skills.)

It’s probably because of turtling, since AOE damage skills had a cap of 5 but healing aoes didnt have a cap, 10 is still a significant amount in turtling in WvW
Yeah, I think it’s just to provide parity – the AOE damage and ally buffs have the 5-person cap, now healing does also.

Next mesmer “fix” will be that the mesmer will have a 50% chance to be turned into a Moa himself whenever he tries to use any skill.

Now that this is no longer an option, how exactly does anet intend for us to destroy defensive siege that is hidden behind a wall? Unless Anet makes catapults not do damage through objects, this is EXTREMELY broken.
you build catapults instead of rams. they should just remove rams from the game.
Yes, that is a viable strategy, but then what is wrong with building rams? You seem to say that rams are in some way broken.. Please do explain how they are either broken, or overpowered. They are close range, melee siege devices that do more damage than the long ranged…?
they are broken in the sense that you can’t stop the catapult from hitting you through the gate. i’m agreeing with you that it’s kitten that anet nerfed berserker without giving some other way of attacking in return, when mesmers have no other options.
The problem is that NOBODY has any other way of attacking it 0.o
The only solution is to build a trebuchet to lob shots over a wall to kill a catapult… Which is just ridiculously insane…
There is currently no way to actually kill defensive siege. At all. (that makes sense.)
I kid you not. I decided to try new Moa to see just how good new skills are. On my glass cannon mesmer Veteran on the crossroads took almost all my health in no time.
Peck did 3000 dmg
Kick did 1500 dmgTuna (underwater Moa) will spam 1500 dmg Stabs.
I understand that Moad enemies still can’t use some of their nice utilities etc, but at least here in WvW a Thief using that Dagger Storm elite has high chance to kill most WvW players in few seconds, while Mesmer Moa will not kill anyone, and you have good chance to die from Moa attacks. I don’t remember when was the last time I even died to Moa, but now I won’t even run away. I’ll try to kill the Mesmer and quite honestly they won’t even expect so much dmg.
Maybe they applied our iZerker damage to the MoA targets and replaced MoA damage to iZerker?

There should be an option in the gem store to re-create your character looks. Not race or profession, but just the size/face etc.
I would gladly pay 800 gems to be able to re-spec my characters looks.

Well, I haven’t been banned for botting. So far I am 100% in support of this system. Seems to be working as I do not bot, and therefore have not been banned

Why skip them?
Because you get nothing of actual value for it.
Think about this:
It takes ~ 1 hour to do a dungeon if you kill all the mobs.
It takes ~20 minutes if you skip stuff
Killing all stuff: Rewards end items, +~20s worth of loot/money.
Skipping: End items.
You can get 3 runs of skipping things in, in the time of one run killing everything. This grants you a 3-1 ratio of end-items. Yes, you lose 20s. But I do believe that 60 ascalonian tears is worth 20s coins.
That is why people skip. More profit, and more fun.
Not as stupid waiting there for something with 9001 health/toughness to die.
I do agree with a few people in this thread.. The whole Zhaitan character is flawed. Massively.
The fact that the enemy of our worlds, is seen and gone within 20 minutes is broken.
I mean if it was like Harry Potter, and every time we killed one of his minions a part of him died or something, I could understand maybe not ever seeing him at all. But it isn’t, and therefore this is a terrible use of the character of Zhaitan…
EDIT: I found the problem.. A risen spawned underneath of the floor.. So I cannot kill him, and therefore the story will not continue.
EDIT: Managed to kill the guy by using AOE through the floor. Story continued as normal after. Still, problem NEEDS to be addressed.

Ok… So I was at the defend the docks part. Killed 2 waves of risen.. Then nothing. Cannons fired at the ship and did not hit it. Nothing happened.
I then proceeded to swim to the dead ship and shoot it with my harpoon until it died. (Takes longer than you would think.)
And then… Nothing.
Just sitting here with nothing to do inside fort trinity..

This way you will eventually have them all. And once you have them you are done. The old way where you had to pay to change your color, or for a new piece of armor, actually KEPT the prices high. Instead of them only being high now to just diminish as more and more people get them.

Will all the bugged skill points and areas I don’t even log into the game anymore. I just pop onto the forums and check all my saved threads. If people are still glitched I don’t even bother to log on. A game should be fun, challenging and occasionally frustrating to keep up busy. What I really don’t need is my 16 year old saying " you know mom if a game is making you into a potty mouth you need to step away" ugh having my words come back at me .. yikes.
So Jeffery I am sure I speak for everyone in this topic when I say PM any one of us and we will gladly take you along on our failed exploits just so you can see it yourself.

17 days this error has existed. I am sorry, but ArenaNet, you are FAILING HARD right now.
Either put some patches out, or you are very soon (probably already) going to lose your players. I know you already got their money, but new players do not like to see a game with terrible reviews about gameplay like this.
Biggest problem is they have no sort of hotfix method currently. All of their updates will come out as a group, and all have a set date. Therefore you can be waiting for up to a week for the next update to kick in.
This bug happens when you talk to the person supposed to be creating the gangplanks, before they actually finish putting them down.
It interrupts their action and makes them talk to you. Had the same thing happen to me and did some testing with it. Needs to be fixed, but can also be avoided if you just do not interact with the girl that creates the gangplanks.
What id really, really want is a Mini Zhai zhai. He is cute!

Currently have a problem of ascalonian tears not stacking. I, (stupidly) split them into different stacks just messing around, and now they won’t re-stack. They just swap positions.

I agree with this. It would be very nice to know about (even with 10 minutes) how long the wait is to get into WvW, as sometimes it can be quite lengthy.

Only problem with this, as already stated, is that max-level weapons are currently (basically) non-existant… So it would be hard to balance this :/
