A level 16 character needs to complete the monthly. She either has to kill about 80 veterans or do 8 jumping puzzles. (So far done the LA ones and the Southsun easy thing).

Please, recommend places for her to go. Or if you have extra time this weekend and are playing on a NA server, a guide would be appreciated very much.

Personally, I would just buy the recipe for the inscription, jewel and insignia and start fusing crystals. The Ascended armor is coming befor the year ends. I’d rather go for that than another set of exotic celestial set. But it might be worth the time for you.

As Wanze said, an Excuisite Jewel takes one charged quarts, but it takes 5 jewels to make a trinket.

I cannot give the exact numbers but much more than it uses to be. Especially since now you’d have to get the crafts to lvl 500 to get that much XP. I’d say it is not worth doing that unless you have hundreds of gold saved.

Even if they were salvageable from any weapon, the chance of getting it is small.

Actually, with all the gold we have to put in them, I would not have found it amiss to let us choose which colour we prefer. Making two is very costly just to get the stats and color you like.

You don’t need to purchase recipies. You will know the insignia recipe automatically as well as how to make parts. Then you put the parts and the insignia in the Discovery window and after that you know the recipe for that item.

Purchasebale recipies produce different looks of armor.

Did you buy any of the rare recipies from the Master Crafter? I think that is what is meant by buying insignias, the recipies for making them.

I have 9 at level 80 and the youngest one at 49. Two of each race, a male and a female. All professions and Ele and Guardian.

Aww. I really enjoyed reading this, it made me smile and feel a bit sad at the same time.

I have no romance to offer, but my Charr (one female and one male) are happy to extend a friendly paw whenever they are about. I should warn though that they feel rather protective about the two Asura in our little band. No cooking or eating, no matter how unnatural their ears may be!

Garambola, why do you envy me for the CoF thing? Learning how to speedrun CoF P1 is really easy (provided you have either a Mesmer, a Warrior or a Thief!). There are plenty of videos out there to help you :]

I doubt any video can help me go through that place alone.
And I do get one run almost every day. So it is ok. It is just that it is the Emps that are stalling my progress for now. Soon it will be the timegated stuff.

Temples give 30 each. Big dragons (Claw, Shatterer) around 20. No clue on Teq, never succeeded there. All world events give some but those are the biggest piles. Unless you are buying the planks/ingots you only need about 100 a day to keep up with the time gated stuff.

May I say, I envy you for the CoF thing. Emps are very hard for me to get.

21k karma each. That amounts to a fair bit. Of course, one does not need to buy them all like I did. Just buy the one you need.

Is this a specific World Event or just any of them? If it is a particular one, try guesting on a Very High Population Server and/or playing at different times of the day.

If it is ant, try the Frozen Maw in Wayfarer, Fire Elemental in Metrica or Behemoth in Qoeensdale. Those usually have people. Also say in mapchat that the event is up. There may well be people on the map that will come.

Edit: Oh. It is a Temple. Then guesting on a world where it is open is the solution I use.

Switching active professions does cost some. Perhaps not very much, but still. I delegated 2 crafts to each character for this reason. It also helped some of them to level.

The downside to have the weaponcrafting on more than one character is the Inscription recipies. I decided to only have one chracter learn them all. If others need them, I need to log her on to make it. Inconvenience, but not that bad.

It annoys me too to have to put so much time or gold into this one material. However, the reason it bothers me is that it is very, very hard for those just starting crafting to get past the soft wood stage right now. Especially peope who are new to the game as well.

The ascended materials will keep in your bank and maybe once you have the level, you can craft two weapons at once. (Of course only if your character uses two weapons made by that profession.)

I had the pleasure of playing the last official beta (and the ones that came after that with a short notice). The character, a sylvari ranger, I made then was so much fun to play: All the world was new and filled with fascinating beings both NPCs and PCs alike. I still miss her, but have not had the heart to try and recreate. Perhaps one day she will reawaken.

Please, try to remember that there are other people who prefer not to follow a champ train for hour or do more than one dungeon a day. Some of these people still want that dust and if your complaints gets the amount nerfed, it will hurt them. And only them, you will still be getting enough.

If you have crafted you 250 bricks and have 250 piles of dust in storage, why not just throw the rest away? Since it is too easy for you to get and has no value.

Gear is always soulbound on use or not bound at all, cannot remember of any examples from other MMORPG proving otherwise.

We currently have certain backitems that are account bound. Granted, they were account bound from the start, but they still remain useable by all characters. Also, just because no other game does something does not mean this one could not.

Now, I would never, ever put real money into buying a weapon. However, I would probably work on more of them, if they were useable by all the characters that can use that type of equipment. I have 10 characters, so anyone who has actually gathered all the necessary bits for a legendary, can probably understand why I have no interest in trying to get everyone equipped with one, or heaven forbid, more than one, legendary.

If they were account bound, I think I’d like to go after one of each type though.

They are character bound, but guesting does not work. The corresponding node is gone on all maps (even if it is in a different spot there).

You need to buy the recipe for the dowel and for the weapon.

You have chosen a great profession to advance. Why? Because huntsman is the only one that can produce the leather thingy currently.

At least for me the Celestials are discovered already (without me doing it). You should be able to just craft the item.

To make that ckeared: You should have on your crafting list an item, probably on yellow text, Celestial Warhorn or something close to that.

Ten laurels more for the special ones who do jumping puzzles by the dozen in three days! I was looking forwad to getting my ten tomorrow with the completionist only missing. Now…I just don’t know why bother.

I don’t like those (except the jacket is nice). But then outfits like that are not meant to please older female players, I am pretty sure. This is not the type of content I want to support either, so I will not spend a gem on them. Not even if the male version is much nicer (as usual).

You can put anything in them. The game just puts the specified types there first. It will fill the remaining slots with anything that happens to come along.

That’s just….not at all acceptable behaviour. Shheesh, the one being paid should be the one who gives up the spot and tricking someone to do the work like that is unethical. I hope you have screenshots. The kicker had to have an accomplish too, since it takes two to kick. Despicable.

Is there any chance at all for getting a replacement “Holographic Shattered Dragon Wing Cover”, the achievement reward from Dragon bash?

My teenaged daughter, after this month’s bank clean up had them in the bag of a character she later deleted without realising there were valuables in the inventory.

I am asking here for her first, because she feels very sad about the mistake she made and it would only hurt her more to ask support for them and be told no. If there is achance, she will file the support request from her own account, of course.

Yes! I missed what exactly did happen to it the second time? It was just gone suddenly for the dragon hologram. After all the hard work we did to get it back, it is annoying it disappeared again.

I’d certainly like to have the Fall of Abbadon fractal completed too. But I am so sick of this political stuff. I would gladly join in asking for the fractal, but not in a mob bashing the candidate that won the election.
