Not sure if this is where to post this or not but I have a question about the “Contacts List” and the functionality or lack thereof.
Is there no way to remove someone from the “Friends” or “Blocked” lists? I don’t see a way to remove someone but I find it hard to believe that GW1 had this but GW2 doesn’t.
So, does this exist and I just can’t find it or what?
Not sure if this is the right thread or not but I’m getting a “ERROR: Invalid authorization” when I open the Black Lion Trading Company. I get the error on all tabs. I wasn’t getting this error earlier in the day. is it me or anet?
The cost of these minis is what made me decide to not bother spending any cash in the gem store this festival. Had there been a wintersday mini trio, I would have bought 2 sets, one for the minis and one to craft Foostivoo.
Seeing Anet make this blatant cash grab, no thanks. I’ll keep my credit card in my wallet.
I was very dismayed to find out that once Tixx hit Lion’s Arch, that I no longer got a choice of stuffing or glue. I thought he was suppose to give you opportunties to recieve this items you missed. Very disappointed that the only way to get 250 stuffing is thru the Trading Post. Even your vendor does not have an exchange rate for those items with socks/hats/sweaters. This needs to be more customer friendly for a holiday event.
You can still run the dungeons you missed. You have to go in the Infinarium with your party and select which dungeon you want to run. That’s what I think a lot of people are not aware of. You have to enter the Infinarium in order to selct the dungeon you missed. There is a control panel in the area where you enter.
Well I feel kind of stupid. I just wasted 2g buying the grandmaster manual because the description says it resets trait points. I didn’t see the other option from the npc to reset points
It would be nice if anet would make it clear on the manual that it “IS NOT REQUIRED TO RESET TRAITS IF ALREADY PURCHASED”. Just like that. So dips such as myself won’t waste money
It’s impossible to own every pet from this event by design, as you will only be able to get 2 of the 5 pets that don’t require gems. Maybe the lesson is you don’t need it all, but should instead just get things you like.
The individual pets are/will be directly available for purchase through the gem store.
Ventari and Princess Doll mini-pets are currently available.
I don’t think the OP is talking about the ones that you craft with materials from the dungeon. I think they are talking about the three that only drop from the mystery box soldin the gem store.
You may be thinking about GW1 players who have rewards on their GW1 account. ANet set up a reward system to give free GW2 stuff to some of those players, one of which is a flaming sword skin. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to get that stuff unless you played GW1.

I think you can still earn those items from GW1. Not sure if GW1 is still sold on Anets website but it might be.
edit: Just checked. It’s all still sold on the GW1 website. You need Eye of the North to get the items in GW2 and 1 GW1 game. Eye of the North was not a standalone game like the other 3.
Anet has really disappointed me with these “boxed” minis. They’ve taken the gw1 polar bear mini, added in a heaping dose of GREED and created this…this…BS. I can’t even think of the words for it. Pathetic that they allow their greed to so influence the game. The other 5 minis may take a few years to craft all of (hopefully they return next year) but these 3 from the mystery box have ruined the event for many people.
Some good fun in EB this morning during CD’s dominant period. With FA wiped off the map CD tried a variety of strategies to take SM and TC’s territory, having flipped Klovan some time overnight before I logged in. The golem rushes on SM were exciting, and I commend CD for trying to use OL to treb SM too, having stolen it away from FA.
EB was a blast this morning. My little Asura ele was all over the place helping defend, attack, repair, etc. I believe those golem attacks were the most fun I’ve had in Wv3 to date. Thanks CD for the fun.
P.S. please stop with the /laugh when you’ve just rolled over me with 10 other people. you look silly.
I had a lot of fun on my little asura ele tonight. First, in FABL we fought back and forth outside our spawn up to the keep north of there, green-something. it’s late and my mind is tired.
I jumped over to EB to see how things were going there. Got in some decent battles once again. Fun times all around.
I handed out my share a badges tonight, as usual
sadly, I won’t be on for the finish of this one or the start of next weeks matchup. I’m having my gallbladder taken out and will not be up to playing for a few days.

Thank goodness sports teams/organizations don’t use the Glicko rating system. Imagine if you always got to watch the same two football/basketball/baseball/soccer teams playing every single time. Wouldn’t that be exciting. hehe
I just watched us try this again. And it worked this time. I don’t think we had 41 though. And then right after we captured Stonemist my game froze. Argh!
My little Asura Ele had loads of fun tonight defending stonemist from both FA and YB. Walls falling everywhere and our commanders coordinating movements, siege equipment, etc.
/salute to both YB and FA for the battles, and to my fellow Coasters for defending as well as we did. (I imagine we lost SM in the end what with getting hit from both sides. my game crashed and I need to get some sleep anyway.)

What the heck is going on. Fighting on TC in WvWvW and everyone is experiencing lag in activation skills. It’s making the game almost unplayable. Hard to have a decent battle when it takes a minute for a skill to activate. Can someone check on this? Also curious if any other servers are experiencing this.
Can we get a real autoloot for WvW? One that doesn’t require I stop fighting to hit the “F” key and grab my loot off of the ground. I’m sure I’m not the only person who’s left loot on the ground because I didn’t see it. Or worse yet, died right as the bag of loot fell to the ground

Wow, talk about some intense fighting tonight. I got to play 6 hours and spent almost all of that time in Eternal (except when I first queued and when my pc crashed and I had to requeue).
It was good to see HoD starting to take some of their space back half way through the night. And the fighting over Stonemist between us (TC) and CD was epic. I got a few screenshots of trebs pounding the castle, us defending, CD attacking. I don’t think I’ve ever participated in a battle like that in any game. Well fought everyone. Had great fun last night on my Asura Ele, Liz. I do tend to overextend so I ate dirt numerous times due to CD folks catching me. It’s all fun though. A good way to let off frustration of work. Yeah, that doesn’t work for everyone but it does for me somehow.
I’m hoping HoD makes another appearance on Eternal like they did a couple night ago.
And that CD Golem attack on SM last night was a blast. You guys really worked hard to break in. I think every TC person was called back to the castle to help repel you. Well fought!
They officially said that this part of the event is for all levels.
Things would be exciting, challenging and fun if the mob won’t aggro at you from a distance you can barely see them, or mob won’t switch aggro on a train, or there is a secure path if you tried your best, but unfortunately these are simply not the case.
I agree with the OP and Hologramx. I became quite frustrated this morning when I tried to get my level 30 engi to sparkfly and could not get to the entrance to the zone. I’m stuck on bloodtide coast and tried several ways to get to sparkfly. I finally gave up. And when i asked if anyone was going to sparkfly, you could hear the crickets chirping. Bah! Humbug! (oops, wrong holiday. hehe)
This isn’t the first thing that irritated me with the event, but it was finally the one that got me to walk away for a bit.
I’ve had my little Asura Ele out several nights now. I really do like the community on TC. We might be getting beat on but we keep trying and don’t give up.
To all you BG and FA folks, if you’ve encountered a “Elizabeth MacLeod” Asura Ele that just sort of ran right into you all and got trounced, that was me. I tend to forget i’m a squishy target.
